For me Wolverhampton Wanderers is a very special and unique football club. One that I have followed for sixty years. I remember the bad old days but also the good times. Dave Jones taking us back to the prem on that glorious day in Cardiff. Two league cup wins at Wembley and my favourite the Sherpa Van win against Burnley when Wembley was a sea of old gold and black. In recent times the journey with Nuno was wonderful.
I'm now beginning to think that the current owners just don't understand the people of Wolverhampton and what the club means to the city.
If they are even thinking about GoN then that just proves to me they have no soul and it's just an exercise in staying in the Prem for the least amount of payout.
Please Fosun prove me wrong, get in Roger's or Xavi but do not put GoN back in charge. Even Robbie Keane would generate some excitement but do not put GoN back in charge.
I hope this message is loud and clear.

Along with u Nando, I have supported and gone to matches since the 70, s, and remember the good and the bad times, but Foson aren’t going anywhere soon, so whoever they appoint and it looks like GON still being, we should get behind the team, be the twelfth man and who knows we might just get out of this mess.If we do then protest against the owners.
03 Nov 2025 15:38:30
Talking of songs if GON is reappointed what about oh what a circus oh what a show seems appropriate
03 Nov 2025 15:54:08
Loud and clear to us all Nando.but on deaf ears at the top
03 Nov 2025 17:33:58
I don't believe it.
Surely not oniel, you can not be serious,
Hes tried and failed
Never have an ex in charge
Sorry not for me
No doubt there going down the cheapest route
Surprise surprise

Reading some of the posts today such as NandoFC22’s takes some of the anger towards the running of OUR FOOTBALL CLUB away. Like many I have been going to the Molineux for 60 years, not as often as I used too, but have supported the team through thick and thin. The way things are shaping up, we will be back in League One for 26/27 season. We cannot go back to GON, there’s obviously some strong issues within the squad that they simply didn’t want to play for Vitor - accepted he played many out of position - Jhon Arias for example. Agbadou was a potential signing for Liverpool based on his game at Anfield last spring acknowledged by the likes of Virgil Van Dyke, but now is error prone and a shadow of his former self. The team on paper is capable of mid-table, but the confidence is rock bottom. We need a strong knowledgeable coach and assistant - Ole with Carrick, Rogers with a Coady type character, not returning to a nice but weak GON, he failed less than a year ago.
We have a nucleus: Bueno, Agba, Krejci, Pitbull, Andre, JSL, Johnstone (given a chance) with potential R Gomes, Arias (playing in his normal position) Tolu, Lopez, Mosquera and Bellegarde (on his day) with Manes to come.
All isn’t lost yet, but getting this management position correct is vital otherwise 10-15, 000 will go missing from the stadium very quickly. So Mr Shi - GON is not the answer, this could go horribly wrong! No more cheapskate cock-ups, we are already the laughing stock of the Premier League
03 Nov 2025 17:59:28
GON possibly coming back in as a No 2? I would be very surprised him taking the full reigns again, Him and Keane could be a good combo, GON has the inside track on the workings of the club and fans. As someone said, whoever does come in has to be backed by Fosun and us as fans, regardless, no poit in moaning and whining now, we wanted him gone and now he has, as someone once said before, be careful what you wish for.
I haven't given up on survival this year yet, but results have to change and now, whoever is to come in has my backing, as they obviously want the job, even if it is GON . one thing I will say, if he does, he has a big pair of B@lls to come back into the wolfs den
03 Nov 2025 18:43:31
Great post Nando
03 Nov 2025 13:46:13
Shi's sacked eight Managers, how many goes does he want, Fosun have no infrastructure, Shi sacked them all, didn't know what jobs they were doing and thought he didn't need them, time's caught up with him and nothing will change.
Fosun aren't capable of halting the slide they started, the only hope is they admit defeat and find an exit strategy before the club drops more than one league

Summed up perfectly Ron, a masterclass in how to lose about £400M if we get relegated.
03 Nov 2025 09:56:51
Can't believe GON is the bookies favourite, only sacked him 1 year ago, guess it is the least expensive option. Maybe everyone else has or will decide they can't work with Jeff, did mention Sergio Concecaio yesterday but not sure again if he would come.
Does everyone think we will have a new manager in place for our next game?

03 Nov 2025 11:22:58
I would expect they will have someone in place for Chelsea
03 Nov 2025 11:32:58
I am getting so depressed on the thought of a GON return, why go back to the football that made us sack him?
We need new blood and fresh impetus and ideas for play if we are to see any joy this season, and hopefully prepare for the championship next.
It's not steadying the boat, it's turning to a new heading.
Of course it's who'd want that, particularly on the cheap as I can't see Fosun spending big, so maybe GON is the only option Jeff will have.
03 Nov 2025 11:49:43
I’m done until Fosun have gone
03 Nov 2025 11:59:00
Well they said collins is taking training this week so maybe he'll oversee things at Chelsea Banksy.
Someone's who IS interested is Robbie Keane.
He was lean and mean, but I dunno about him at this stage of our season.
03 Nov 2025 12:22:21
Would be a very strange appointment, if true.
Half the dressing room lost right from the start!
I felt we should have gone for Dyche when he was free. For me, Forest guaranteed now to stay up.
We need to start planning now for the Championship, or we will do a Southampton!
03 Nov 2025 12:38:12
Not GON please! We need someone different someone who can inspire and motivate the team and get them to play without fear. As someone has already said I'd rather watch us lose 4-3 than watch the rubbish played under both VP and GON. To answer your question Banksy 51. I think there might be someone in the stands at Chelsea watching us that might be prepared to join, but I honestly don't think Shi is very proactive and has been looking for VP's successor during our run of dreadful results. Someone who could step in short notice to try and guide this team. I honestly don't think he/they work that way. TBH I'm probably like the majority on here now and despite supporting Fosun/Shi in the past I'm just totally disillusioned with it all.
At least I can turn off the TV or whatever device I'm listening or watching it on. You do have to feel for the season ticket holders though who have paid good money to watch and 10 games in the seasons virtually over. I did go to the cup game against Chelsea and the guy next to me was a season ticket holder (upper tier North bank). He has over an hours travel each way and his ticket is £740PA. Not sure if that's an early bird price either, plus that round of the cup and the previous one was not included in the season ticket price. Shi should meet some of these people and others who dedicate a lot of their time and income following Wolves. Then maybe he might just understand why they get some upset and want him and the owners out.
03 Nov 2025 12:39:41
After what GON said on match of the day last week, why would he come back to the Wolves?
03 Nov 2025 12:53:04
Can't believe they are even talking to Gon about the job. We are run like a Sunday league side, the Premier needs the best available, no good shopping at Poundland. Disgraceful state of affairs.
03 Nov 2025 12:57:03
If GON gets the job we know who will be the manger this time next year, welcome back PEREIRA, what a joke.
03 Nov 2025 13:21:14
Actually Baza I think it might be Walter Zenga's turn next, then Lops and then VP.
03 Nov 2025 13:30:51
E and S are reporting GON is in advanced talks to return! This has to FINALLY be the push for ALL fans to start a mass protest against Fosun! Banners up at every game, chanting from the first minute to the last! They have turned our club into a joke so now it's time to make them feel unwelcome! I'm beyond angry with this current mess, they are simply not fit to own our club anymore! 🤬
03 Nov 2025 13:54:30
Please not gary O’Neil hope it’s a smoke screen and really trying to get some one decent in
03 Nov 2025 14:06:07
What did GON say on motd Rui?
03 Nov 2025 14:16:13
I was looking forward to the Chuckle Bros. Maybe that is GON and his assistant
03 Nov 2025 14:28:04
What about Bruno Lage longmynd? I've still got a flag with his name somewhere.
03 Nov 2025 15:30:16
I forgot about him Abbey, there's been so many. 😎
03 Nov 2025 18:57:21
Cud always try n prise lamps away from coventry?
03 Nov 2025 09:12:44
It’s going to be difficult attracting anyone decent. If it was me I would approach someone like Brendon Rogers and offer him some funds in January and a massive bonus (£3M?) if he keeps us up.
That may be enough to attract the sort of manager who might come in and make the necessary difference.

03 Nov 2025 09:57:48
Going on the reasons Rogers left Celtic I can't see how he could work with the current board.
Realistically we need to be picking a manager to give us the best shot of promotion next year as it will take a major miracle to stay up this season.
10 wins from 28 games to get to 32 points is a win every 3 games. Tis season there are still some top teams to play twice as the start this season was much more favourable than last season. Haven't kept a clean sheet in any competitive game since some time last season.
It's not over until it's mathematical, but it's a huge challenge.
03 Nov 2025 09:11:41
What is the point of trying to pick a manager when the foundations are falling apart.
It's like building a house and it keep falling down, and you keep building it and the same thing happens again and again. It's the foundations of the club that need fixing first, from Jeff being replaced and a proper footballing structure put in place. If we do go down which unfortunately looks likely I can see us having a major battle not to be relegated again (Look at Sheff Utd at the minute).
Any appointment now has got to be with one eye on playing in the championship with the hope they can get us back within the one season.
If Fosun decide to stick around then the structure of the club must be addressed as soon as possible.

Keir starmer has thrown his hat into the ring can’t run the country so he said he’ll have a go in the football game
03 Nov 2025 10:16:40
You make some good points MRV. To borrow your house building analogy… we have been replacing bricks with wattle and daub since Nuno left. (Probably started before he left actually).
I agree about the risk of going straight through the championship to league 1. After all it happened in 2013 day it?
I still think someone like Rogers might, just might, keep us up if we could get him.
(See my previous post).
Otherwise, yes plan for a quick return from the championship, which would bring people like Robins or even McKenna? into the frame.
If they’d come … obviously.
FWAW.
03 Nov 2025 10:21:43
Why are Fosun still hanging in to us? They are the last Chinese U.K. football club owners in the top 2 tiers.
US owners have been taking over but I’m still not convinced they appreciate ‘soccer’ as much as we do.
Still, could be worse, we could have a Greek owner who knows best.
We have a fridge magnet at home aimed at teenagers but could also relate to Jeff Shi:
Still living with your stupid parents? Quick, get out now while you still know everything! 😂
03 Nov 2025 11:19:57
Actually BoS, Starmer might be a decent shout as he knows a lot about round things you can kick, that's all he ever talks.
03 Nov 2025 12:47:38
Might be best to leave politics out of it Boz, my MP is Gavin Williamson - he’s even more incompetent than Jeff. 🙄
03 Nov 2025 08:05:51
Taking a popular bookmaker's websites odds for Wolves next manager, these are the potential candidates:
G. O'Neill 7/4, R. Edwards 5/2, M. Carrick 8/1, K.Muscat 8/1, R Borges 10/1, B. Rodgers 12/1, E Ten Hag 12/1, S. Conceicao 12/1, O G Solskjaer 14/1 and L. Carsley 16/1.
These are their manager % win records (in the same order): 31%, 37%, 47%, 53%, 49%, 54%, 62%, 61%, 53% and 65%.
* Borges has never managed outside of Portugal and all except O'Neill, Carrick, Rodgers and Solskjaer are currently employed by clubs!
O'Neill as you can see has the worst % win record of any of the candidates and if Shi should go with someone who is that bad then all hope will be lost!
So take your pick and try to guess which one, if any, Shi could/will go for.
Muscat could be worth a gamble but I will take a shot at someone who is not on that list and that is Marco Rose previously with Leipzig, Salzburg, Monchengladbach and Dortmund but currently without a club since March 2025.
His win record is 58%. His lowest being 43% and highest 71%.
The big question being, would Shi employ someone who would likely want a big salary and also, would Rose come to a club deep in the relegation mire?
I don't think so but, if you don't ask, you won't find out!

03 Nov 2025 08:21:57
If it turns out to be GON/Edwards I think that will finish me as that would just be another £ lead appointment and confirm that Fosun haven't changed so what's the point.
03 Nov 2025 09:18:11
Evidence that GON would be the worst possible candidate. Which means he's hot favourite. Joking apart, if he was given the job it proves Fosun are the worst possible owners.
03 Nov 2025 10:16:13
If it’s GONE/ EDWARDS that’s me done financially.
I won’t buy any more shirts etc or attend any more games, I won’t put any more money in this management . I will return to games when new owners take over.
03 Nov 2025 07:34:21
Fear not Wolfy's I think I've solved the Manager selection problem. After in depth research and meticulous analysis of the likely suspects I've rejected them all. Shi/Fosun need a Manager and Assistant to complement their football knowledge who can both lead the team to greater things whilst entertaining the crowd.
There's only one duo capable, I give you 'The Chuckle Brothers', stay with me.
Barry and Paul would bring a host of experience and enthusiasm to the role particularly in training and overcome any language barrier issues by teaching the lads how to call for a pass in English 'to me to you' and the response if the pass fails 'Oh dear, oh dear'. The results would be instantaneous complemented on matchday by their ability to entertain the crowd on the touchline thus diverting their attention away from the game itself. Wolves TV would of course be upgraded to Chucklevision a title commensurate with the Fosuns football ideology.
Barry and Paul's careers would, of course, benefit from the upgrade in comedy material that Jeff Shi could write for them and when he inevitably sacks them Fosun could save money by simply transferring them to their other Circus. I sometimes think I should offer my services to the Club instead of the likes of Jorge Mendes, I mean what does he know?

1 massive flaw in that selection! given that 1of them is dead! But better than most of the candidates being banned around 😕
03 Nov 2025 08:04:40
Excellent Long, Jeff is probably looking into the brothers now, will have to look at the odds
03 Nov 2025 08:13:31
That's just a technicality OOTD.
03 Nov 2025 08:22:59
Well they all run around as if they were part of the Benny Hill show.
03 Nov 2025 08:43:37
True long, heaven forbid Jeff would get wrapped up in technicalities!😂😂
03 Nov 2025 08:47:37
We really are a laughing stock,
03 Nov 2025 08:55:09
Priceless OOTD and Longmynd 😂🤣😭👍🏻
03 Nov 2025 09:31:17
If death is not an issue, what about Ken Dodd? The players would be too afraid of his Tickle Stick not to perform.
03 Nov 2025 16:41:00
Then they can play 'Tears for Souvenirs' as the walk out song Bilston, poignant.

Wolves are becoming a revolving door as far as managers go. What next, who next. For me Nuno has been our best manager.Got Wolves into the top tier, played good football, respected by other teams .Team with an abundance of skill.I could go on.
Look where we are.A beaten team with no leadership.Thats what happens when you sell you best players and replace them with mediocre ones. I have turned my attention to watching championship games, that's where Wolves will be playing next season.

Meza having him as an assistant maybe, but not Head Coach, but as we know Shi will go for the cheapest option then tell anyone stupid enough to listen that he was the best candidate.

Apparently three more put there names into the hat,
Tony pulis
Sam allerdyce
Alan pardew
02 Nov 2025 19:58:54
So it's now actually being reported that GON is genuinely being considered! What the actual flip is going on at our once great club?! If this happens then it's stinks of Terry Connors appointment and would just as quickly doom us to relegation!
Where have all those fans gone that spent all summer telling me Fosun new exactly what they were doing?! Not asking as a witch hunt more just wanted confirmation that even those most loyal Jeff/Fosun fans have now seen the light and realised what a complete joke our ownership group REALLY is?! If GON is hired then I think I might be a little done with this season to be honest! Shocking 😭
02 Nov 2025 20:50:21
Preferance would be rodgers, oneil never after the last episode. If i'm not mistaken, rob edwards had a spell as interim manager and was hung drawn and quartered, so why would he want to return. definitely not ten hag, ole, carrick next it will be alex ferguson or his useless son.
Come one and all and turn our once wonderful club into even more of a soap opera. We need decent owners to encourage a decent manager, so let's just say never
02 Nov 2025 21:18:17
This is fosuns chance to finally get it right
Someone to keep us in the prem.
And get us set for the following season
Well that sounds a plan
03 Nov 2025 08:28:04
There is only one for me and that's Mr Rogers (not the American bloke).
03 Nov 2025 09:43:15
Tbf Bully's, I think your recollection of 'all those fans' might be stretching things a touch. Maybe I missed out on a sudden glut of Fosunites by not coming on the site for a few days but I reckon you'd probably be able to count them with a couple of fingers which is sufficient when most of us are asked what we think of Fosun. 🙂🙂
03 Nov 2025 10:40:16
No idea if it's correct but I read somewhere that GON is still on the clubs payroll, that may explain the odds being offered.
