Who do you see us signing from now until the end of the window? Hopefully Jordan James? We definitely need a winger and keeper. Bentley was miles off it.

Sorry, Si Senor, I responded before seeing your post.

Brighton have rejected a new offer from Rangers for winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.
It is understood the latest bid was worth around £7.5m.
The winger, who spent last season on loan at Bolton, also has interest from the Championship and in Europe.

Brighton signed the 21-year-old in 2024 after his contract at Arsenal expired. Sky Sports. Few people on here have mentioned him, so looks like £10 mill will seal the deal.

As far as im aware, Brighton will only sanction a loan deal, no option to buy. They rate him highly, but want him to play more games.

Club gone quiet on Jordan James. No more info. Hopefully all going ok and he's in soon.

Wilfred Zaha. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

17 Aug 2026 19:25:07
I'd rather Wolves signed Wilfrid Brambell.

17 Aug 2026 20:16:28
Zaha might be useful, I think, but wages are high, I expect, and I don't know if he still has the flair he had, as I haven't seen him last season.

Have you seen the bidding for Manny’s scarf? Last I saw it was at £800.
Respect for Manny as always, and to Raul for authorising the sale.

Both of them absolute legends. Manny does brilliantly for his Dementia charity. A hell of a man.

More a fantasy but I wouldn't mind Grealish on loan, he wants game time and City are willing to loan him out or sell him, but wages would be a huge issue even if he was willing to come.
As I said, just a fantasy.

3

17 Aug 2026 16:04:02
Poor Fer Lopez would be relegated to the bench, or he could play deeper behind Grealish.

Come on Nathan, chuck Man City a £4 million loan fee and £80,000 per week towards his wages.

He'd probably finish the season with 25 assists.

Wolves paid £1 million and £80,000 per week for Angel Gomes, so what's the issue?

3

17 Aug 2026 16:30:59
Too true regarding Angel. I'm not sure Grealish would come to Wolves, that would be an immense signing, but I think he would go Villa or Everton first. Pure, pure fantasy, but would be a great statement signing. It would bring fans on side and give the team a boost.

3

17 Aug 2026 17:25:23
Not sure Grealish would like to come to Wolves with Villa and all that.

17 Aug 2026 20:18:54
I dont rate him tbh, dives too much for me, and would mean dropping Fer Lopez, who id rather have to move forward, unless he play on the left and drop Mane.

After watching Friday's game I have to say slightly concerned with a few players.

Personally I think Doyle playing with Andre would be more natural.
Munetsi may not be everyone’s favourite player, but makes runs that are needed and other players don’t make.
So I’d push him to CAM and play Lopez on the left, Mane on the bench.
Gomes worries me as he seems to be a better impact player than a starter.

It’s one game, so no panic yet, but we need some reinforcements quickly.

If Hugo Beuno is being sold, I’d go for Harry Amas from Man Utd.

A solid player that did well on loan last season.
Also there’s Shea Lacey. He looks a great player if we could get him.

There’s a free agent that I personally think would rip this league apart, Adama.
Maybe wages to high, not sure.

I just hope if the 4-2-3-1 formation isn’t working, the manager isn’t pig headed and sticks to it, and has the guts to change.
Raul & Armstrong could be a lethal pair, I think, if played up top together.

Hopefully a few new faces in before the Stoke game.

Armstrong wouldn't look impressive in a Sunday morning team, just runs and runs to no effect, chasing shadows.

3

17 Aug 2026 18:54:47
I think Armstrong is decent. The problem is that no one ever picks out his runs.

5

17 Aug 2026 19:09:47
Good job there, mostly back towards his own goal.

17 Aug 2026 19:13:17
Agreed, Ilkley. Not sure he'll ever fit into Peixoto's system. Armstrong would be effective playing just off Jimenez, but how would that be possible if Peixoto wants to play with wingers bombing up and down the flanks? I think, in truth, Peixoto wouldn't sign a player like Armstrong.

Not a criticism of Armstrong's ability, because at Championship level he's a very decent player.

I think Peixoto is going to have to play about 10 systems to incorporate the players at Wolves.

See Chelsea are looking to offload Pedro Neto for around £100m just two years after picking him up for £51m. But of course it was good business by Wolves because, as it was pointed out on here, he was too injury prone. Really?

6

17 Aug 2026 13:20:21
Neto is nowhere near 100mill, and in my opinion no one will pay that. It's just like Liam Delap. They paid 30mill for him, now want to sell for 50 to 60 mill, but he has not played. How's he worth double? Just like Enzo Fernandez, they bought him for 110mill of Brighton; he was not worth that, but Chelsea want 120mill, they have to be kidding.

Their fault, they got screwed by Brighton.

5

17 Aug 2026 14:18:46
Enzo was from Benfica, however, Chelsea have allowed themselves to be screwed over by Brighton so many times it's an easy mistake to make.

2

17 Aug 2026 14:25:20
Ilkleywolves, sorry my mistake.

1

17 Aug 2026 14:29:23
Benfica via Brighton, it was defo Brighton that sold him to Chelsea. Supposedly another one we had a fee agreed for, but Fosun didn't want to pay the wages, just like Olmo, who we decided against for Podence! Just bad decision after bad decision, it's been going off for years now. 😭

5

17 Aug 2026 14:30:40
Apologies Ilk, I was sure he was Brighton (should have checked first, rather than after). 👍

1

17 Aug 2026 15:04:09
It was Caicedo who went from Brighton to Chelsea for £100m. Agreed, Dmac Neto is not worth £100m, but is worth more than the £51m we let him go for.

2

17 Aug 2026 16:34:07
The transfer market really has gone mental. Rodri, Spain's World Cup-winning captain and recent Ballon d'Or winner, goes for £60m, but Bruno Guimaraes goes for more! And City are looking to replace Rodri with Ayyoub Bouaddi, who is 18 years old and valued at £85m.

Why can't we get these teams to offer stupid money for our players?

1

17 Aug 2026 18:09:07
If we got 800k for Hwang I'd consider we had robbed someone!!

2

17 Aug 2026 12:47:11
So far there is nothing on any site saying Jordan James having a medical at Wolves. It's not even on Sky Sports News; is the info correct because at the moment nothing is happening. Yes I know it was on Wolves Fancast but nowhere else which is strange.

17 Aug 2026 14:32:58
Feels a lot like this time last season, doesn't it? We meet the player, we talk wages, then silence! Give it a few days and someone else will have got him, rinse and repeat, because it's happening every window! Jackson is an absolute waste of space, but he was the club's third choice RB. We never seem to learn. 😭

Those wanting to bid on Manny's scarf, you need to dm him on his social medias. He posted on X saying dm him highest bid wins.
