Everyone is going on about sacking vp
But whose going to come in is place.
Have a bit of patience.
I would offer a roll on contract at moment
See what happens during next month.
As for foson they have spent millions
If they sell wolves.
We could end up like we did with the battle brothers. Cheer on the lads

Obviously a lot of posters on here have not been following Wolves for 40 years or more. We have had much worse times and worse owners like Bhatti Brothers, that nearly took us out altogether. Fosun have at least got us to the Premier, and are doing what they can to keep us there, but this new Premier league takes 100's of millions to keep going. We still have a few players that other clubs would take and pay Millions for. Before they took us over 7M was our top buy, now it is 43M so do not put them down too much, and NO one is banging on the door to buy Wolves, these American buyers and Arabs, seem to prefer other clubs? What we need is to pull together and get behhind the team like when Nuno was here! Life long Wolves Fan of 60+ years

I think a new 3 year contract for pereira is to long as if he fails it's a lot of money to pay him off. Fosun out.

17 Sep 2025 17:19:44
What if he succeeds and walks away at the end of the season to another PL club!
Give the Fosun bashing a rest it's getting boring now.

17 Sep 2025 18:44:56
Happy with the progress we are making then Blackfords? You may well be right about Pereira, but I seriously doubt it-there are more red herrings swimming about than in an episode of Midsummer Murders where Fosun are involved!

17 Sep 2025 21:19:44
It's a catch 22, on the one hand we have half a new squad who have bought into VP so the club need to prove they have as well! Only problem is that we haven't won a game in months now! It's a risky move, what if he signs a contract and then doesn't win before Xmas?!
I understand why they are looking at renewing it but equally I would have shelved the discussion at very least until we registered a point in the league!

18 Sep 2025 03:02:38
What was your opinion about giving O'Neil a contract extension?
How did that work out?

18 Sep 2025 12:30:21
Hindsights a wonderful thing Handsome, at the time that we extended GONs contract he was being linked with bigger clubs. Don't remember seeing too many on here arguing against it did they. As Black points out the club can't win, if VP suddenly turns things round then gets poached you'd be the first to ask what the club were doing not renewing sooner! Like I said I think it's a good idea but would personally go with the line of 'let's get some points on the board and then sit down and thrash it out'. In fairness I suspect the club probs think this sign of faith may just help get points on the board so its chicken and egg 🧐

18 Sep 2025 15:05:09
Don't forget Bully's, he was also being touted as a potential future England Manager at one point. The Club gave him a new contract as, to be fair, he had done a job for us so it all seemed a logical thing to do.

I don't know if the Ed will permit this long message, but I've received this report about the recent meeting between Jeff and the London Wolves Supporters Club:

A meeting with Wolves Chairman Jeff Shi
Date: Tuesday 9th September 2025.

London Wolves are proud to announce an informal meeting took place with the Chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, Jeff Shi, at The Parcel Yard, Kings Cross, London on Tuesday 9th September 2025. Jeff was accompanied by Max Fitzgerald [Head of Media] at Wolves FC.
The meeting was called at short notice on Jeff's request to meet some of the London Wolves members to discuss and get their views on how they feel the club is progressing. Unfortunately, on the day there was an underground tube strike which made it difficult for some members to attend, also the short notice discounted some members attending due to prior commitments. Nevertheless 10 members attended, some of whom had walked miles to attend and others had been stuck in traffic for hours.
The meeting was conducted in a very casual, open, and friendly manner with no question 'off the table.' Jeff, for his part, responded equally openly and honestly.

It was refreshing to meet and be with someone who clearly wanted to be with Wolves Supporters and wanting to know in detail how London Wolves was formed, how long it had been operating, and what were the first games we attended as individuals.
The subjects covered ranged from the latest transfer window, present and previous managers of the club, as well as what Jeff really thought about the song about him from the terraces.

The first topic related to the latest transfer window and Jeff explained that Matheus Cunha was always destined to leave the club if the release clause figure was activated in his contract. Ryan Ait Nouri was slightly different and Wolves could have kept him, although Ryan had made it perfectly clear that he would not sign another contract or extension with the club. With only two years left on his contract it was appropriate that if another club came in for him at the right price Wolves would not stand in the players way. Nelson Semedo was offered a new four-year contract which sat on the table until he made his final decision to move to new challenges and pastures green. Fabio Silva was another topic and Jeff felt his young age had an impact on his lack of success at the club.

Regarding recruitment, there are no PSR [Premier League Profit and Sustainability Regulations] worries at the club and therefore this did not have any impact on decision making when considering transfers. Equally, there was no policy of 'sell before we buy' in place, which gave the recruitment team a clear field to operate in. Of course, Wolves wanted to bring new players in as early as possible to give Vitor the longest time to work with the player and that the players to be able to settle down at their new club. This was not always possible due to the market and the reluctance of other teams to let their best players go, equally, the end of the window was also challenging as clubs were reluctant to let players go so close to the closure of the window which did not give them time to replace them.

Vitor had supplied a list a players he had identified for the team in the various positions [2 to 3 for each of the positions]. No player that was not on Vitor's list was recruited, the manager must always make these decisions and it is the Board and Owners job to support him, as confirmed by Jeff.
Jeff was asked about the 90% comment on recruitment being made and what it really meant. Reverting to the previous discussion on recruitment, he felt 90% had been achieved getting the right players in to support Vitor. He went on to say that the player had to be of a certain calibre to fit in at Wolves, not only as a player, but a person. The manager was very clear about that during his dealings and selection of potential players. Jeff acknowledged the squad was still a little bit light in some areas, but it was never about 'just bodies through the door.'

Jørgen Strand Larsen and the Newcastle United bids were next on the list. Jeff stated he had a meeting with Jørgen and told him he would not be sold. From the conversations between them it was clear Jørgen was not going to cause any problems and wanted to continue at the club, if that was the decision. In Jeff's words 'he is a good honest boy, ' which is really pleasing to hear.

Both Vitor and Jørgen have been offered new contracts and all parties are relaxed about them and these will be signed without any problems, which is a major plus for the club. Jeff is confident, like Vitor, that within 10 games the Team will gel together and climb the table.
The next topic concerned present and past managers. Jeff immediately stated he had made a number of mistakes regarding the appointment of managers for various reasons. We all agreed that we now have a very good capable manager who communicates very well and is very loyal to the club.
An interesting comment was made regarding the proposed plan [project]and if it was, working especially if Wolves find themselves at the wrong end of the table at Christmas time. Jeff reassured those present that Fosun would finance any additional players needed to ensure Premier League survival although that is only a back stop if things do not go to plan.

The main focus is to move the club and establish themselves further up the league. They want to align with clubs like Fulham and Crystal Palace rather than fighting off relegation.
Now back to the song - when asked, a wry smile came over Jeff's face and of course he has no power to orchestrate the songs from the terraces and recognises the frustration some supporters have. That is not to say Jeff does not feel the same or is dismissive about it.
One of the final questions to be put to Jeff was, 'how would you like Fosun to be viewed in the history of time regarding ownership of the club.' the answer was clear that they had facilitated the return of the good times back to the club.
The meeting lasted two hours but what did we really learn about the man who is Chairman of the football club?

This is my own personal take on this: Jeff is a most approachable, friendly person who clearly is dedicated and wants to do his best. He was honest and open when asked any questions. He was not evasive in anyway, and did not used political speak to try and deflect the question. He was honest about the mistakes he has made [after all, we all make mistakes and are only human]. He gave us all a great insight into the workings of the club behind the scenes, and at no time was he disrespectful or tried to blame anyone for any failings of the past, he took those broadly on his shoulders.
He wants to connect with supporters: he understands the challenges and also the restrictions of our club when competing with the top six. He understands players and managers aspirations and when it is the right time for a player and the club to part company. Also, the need to support the manager and ensure good communications and working relationships.

Walking away from the meeting back to the train, I felt I was very fortunate and privileged to be part of the meeting and given the opportunity to meet the man who is looking after our club, and long may it continue.

Hope this helps and if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

John

John Webb

Fair enough Jeff.

No questions about the future development of the stadium mentioned?

17 Sep 2025 18:49:23
That's an interesting post but to sum it up I am afraid Shi has come out with usual ambiguous and self defensive clap trap.
Wants to align Wolves with Palace and Fulham-so says the man who wanted Champions league football-and a club who were ahead of those other two until he and Fosun pulled the plug.
The argument about Silva being too young is laughable-the Premier league has been littered with young players who have gone onto achieve great things-he isn't good enough and he was Shi's reponsibility

17 Sep 2025 19:08:08
No explanation as to why players were turning us down in the window and moving to clubs Jeff aspires to.
Fear play for him meeting the group and being as candid as he was, although it seems it was fairly 'tame' in some respects.
OK he admits mistakes, I'd like to know what he's learnt from them.
Still, he had the guts to meet and seems an approachable sort and gives some sort of assurance of financial backing in January, but we may not be able to buy safety this time.
My big question would have been what would/will Fosun do if we were/are relegated.

Intriguing article Deep.
Just surprised it doesn't appear on the London Wolves Supporters website?
Also who is John Webb, again seems to have no formal link to the LWS
organisation?
Also odd that Shi and Max F. came down to London to meet in such an unstructured way with so few fans. I say that appreciating the point about transport difficulties. Maybe a rearranged session would have been more appropriate?
Just sees an oddly structured piece.

18 Sep 2025 08:20:30
Great feedback Deep, as fans we tend to get caught up in all he media hype and the so called supporters platforms feeding the frenzy.
Time to move on and get behind the club and owners for the season ahead.

In fairness they could have won promotion last season if not for the club's negligence/incompetence!

16 Sep 2025 21:18:26
Apparently another financially motivated decision due to the cost of a Tier 2 license being prohibitive if the men's team got relegated.

17 Sep 2025 10:43:21
They didn’t actually win promotion though, just missed out so It didn’t matter in the end. We now have the appropriate licence. Well done Jeff, got there in the end.

17 Sep 2025 18:29:49
I wonder if you'd have said well done Jeff if he'd done that to the men's team?! It was shameful and any re-writing of it is as well! The squad were devasted by the lack of support and no one should be getting a pat on the back for that! 🙄

17 Sep 2025 20:06:05
It was in jest bullysboy, I was one of the posters who founds it a bit outrageous that we didn’t have the correct licences. All that effort put in and it was fairly pointless, could have just had a season without trying which kind of defeats the purpose. Just lucky for the club they didn’t get promoted otherwise it would have been more heartbreaking.

17 Sep 2025 20:20:03
Apologies, I agree Goat. Let's just hope that damage done between the club and the Women's team can be repaired with time 👍

It is a shame we are in this position again, VP seemed fantastic last season, if we had got signings in early maybe things would have been better in these last 4 games. Unfortunately, as always, VP will take the blame not Jeff, correctly or not. Doesn’t help when it is suggested that VP is happy with the signings and they were his choice. Also, not brilliant to come out complaining that he had only 8 players to work with, realise this is probably the case but very negative even before the game on Saturday. Starting to appear like GON more and more, VP to me looks like he is under pressure and the stress is clear. Win v Leeds is very important, if VP starts with the same 11 and our play is slow at the back we will be lucky to achieve a draw.

15 Sep 2025 11:06:09
I wouldn't believe the 'VP got the players he wanted' mantra given the number of transfer rejections we got this Summer Banksy.

If for whatever reason VP did get replaced at some point this season that would be 6 'Managers' in 5 years so maybe the true reasons lie elsewhere.

Personally, I can't see it because after promoting him to Manager surely Jeff/Fosun must be thinking longer term.

15 Sep 2025 12:12:17
Can we be 100% sure that the players rejected the move to the club or was it just media speculation? We'll never know the truth but all we can do is get behind those that are here at the club.

15 Sep 2025 13:03:27
Absolutely. Get behind VP and the players we have.

15 Sep 2025 13:05:54
Wandering Star a player is going to sign for the club who offers him the best deal/most money.
Wolves were reported to be paying JSL £15k per week and so if that is our benchmark who are we going to attract to the club?
All of the top earners at the club were disposed of in this window and so yes it is likely true that our targets were offered less money than they could achieve at other clubs and so turned us down.
We can get behind them and give them our support but we can’t make championship level players into Premiership level players.

15 Sep 2025 14:38:53
FTP. Remember JSL was unproven in the PL. That contract for 15k was probably an increase from what he had before. His value obviously went up once he scored 14 goals for us last season. He will get a new contract to pay him more now. We are paying Hwang more and getting very little for it. Which is the better option?

Also, I have no problem with his original 15k pay as he is the one who agreed and signed the contract.

15 Sep 2025 14:46:30
Uche was not offered more money to play for Palace. That deal fell apart because of Mendes messing stuff up and trying to line his own pockets causing the player and agent to be upset at wolves. I am sure he has had his hand in other things too so not sure why we still use him.

15 Sep 2025 14:51:07
I will always and forever support our team, all very frustrating as many of us did see this situation coming throughout the summer. Long, you are probably correct with all the constant change of management, problems lie elsewhere. Disappointed, we didn’t have a shot on target 2nd half, sad to say, maybe not, I turned off after 70 mins or so, was hoping things would change. We really do need 3 pts v Leeds, not convinced we will achieve this, hope we do, and if so kick on, thanks all for our ongoing discussions 🤞👍

15 Sep 2025 15:07:13
NJ Wolf you didn’t answer the question of who are we going to attract to the club when we are paying less in wages than our competitors?

15 Sep 2025 15:26:06
FTP. We have always paid less that the bigger clubs and I don't expect that to change. We just got several new signees, so why did they sign if we are paying them so little?

Regardless, paying players huge salaries doesn't always work out either. Look at our problems with Fabio, Guedes and others were getting big paychecks and not much to show for it.

I would rather pay players less to start and have them prove themselves and then reward them with bigger paychecks, like we will do w JSL.

15 Sep 2025 16:04:26
WAY too many assumptions made on this site!

JSL was getting paid £15k whilst on loan last season which was a big pay rise on the £9k he had been on at Celta. He is now on a £95k contract!

We don't pay Championship wages. Wolves currently have an annual of £72.4 mil, The best paid club in the Championship last season were Leeds with a per season wage of £59.3m, Leicester are the current highest paid on £41.9m!

Most of what you read in the media is utter tripe, Uche did not go to Palace for more money, he currently gets paid £30k. 5 of our new signings are getting paid more than this!

15 Sep 2025 16:09:22
NJ Wolf I think we need TFIG to let the club know about the economic consequences of relegation and the false economy of paying less wages than our competitors thereby attracting less quality signings some of who may come good and we manage to sell on for a profit and others who fall by the wayside.
This may be the January window when we are too far adrift for our panic buys to make a difference to our league position and a change of head coach would be futile.
The three promoted clubs are looking stronger than the three who were relegated and look like they are up for the challenge.

First The Points

15 Sep 2025 16:24:07
FTP. We pay Premier wages! We rank 15th for annual wages paid. Do some research!

15 Sep 2025 16:54:43
Perfectly said molineuxway!

15 Sep 2025 18:45:39
Mol away I did some research and according to Give Me Sport Wolves are 19th in the PL with a total of £41.1 million.

First The Points

15 Sep 2025 20:45:02
FTP. Well done for doing some research. Give Me Sport is not a reputable source though, those figures are incorrect but assuming they are correct you've proved your previous comment incorrect, even 19th highest Premier wage is still a Premier league wage!

Give me sport state that Hwang is our highest earner, there are 7 players paid more than him.

Some of our new signings wages are;

Tolu £75k
Aris £65k
Jackson £65k
Krejci £45k
Wolfe £30k
Lopez £25k

15 Sep 2025 00:22:04

LindsayB three of Liverpools four wins have been by one goal also.
Fine margins.

First The Points

15 Sep 2025 07:55:53
That's the trouble, as you say, First the points. Four games and we havnt got any, and it may not be a print linhay but we're still waiting on the starting line whilst others are up and running ahead of us, and I can't see the 6 game winning streak to overhaul things this time.

15 Sep 2025 09:09:03
A couple of years ago, Jo Lo came in and saved us. Then he jumped ship. Gary came in and saved us. Then he couldn't keep us going. VP came in and saved us, and now we're looking relegation fodder again, for the third time in recent years.

The 'new manager/coach bounce' has saved us three time in a row. It may be too soon to ask, but will we need a fourth saviour? That said, I think VP has what it takes, and we're losing by small margins, apart from that 4-0 against a very, very good City team who will beat almost everyone.

15 Sep 2025 09:17:40
It's way too early to give up hope yet Lindsey, better wait until we've played some of the newly promoted sides because if we lose to them, then you can really worry.

15 Sep 2025 10:05:42
We have players that are still getting to know their team mates Because most of the signings were late, we haven't yet gelled as a team.
I feel that the quality of players we have are better than several teams in the division and ultimately we'll be fine (just).

The recruitment team were new, tried to get several more players in but failed. Hopefully they will be more successful in the next window and we can bring in a couple of quality signings to make a difference.
Pretty sure that Fosun will do all they can to keep us in the prem, their business plan won't be including relegation. Let's hope they get it right.

15 Sep 2025 10:37:27
The only thing is, Deep, Man City's only wins have come against relegation candidates and they have also managed to lose against a team who finished below us last season!

15 Sep 2025 13:36:02
Old Wulf, I did say that City will beat ALMOST anyone. They lost to Brighton and a much-improved Spurs. So we shouldn't get too disappointed by our 4-0 loss, and remember, we had the ball in the net first that day, a very good move chalked off.

15 Sep 2025 15:37:26
I was just having a bit of fun, Deep given that Man U are the only team they've beaten apart from us.

15 Sep 2025 20:44:21
Well its all about taking your chances.we dont!.we could easily of gone infront v city.but for some poor defending and passing.from agbadou.who has continued that in ALL4games so far.lost to an early goal v bmouth.and cudnt even score1.poor defending v everton. gomez could and should have had a hatrick v newcastle.we NEED to put the chances away.simple as that.if we could possibly go1up I thinknwel be ok.but wer chasing every game.and never pkay with the urgency

15 Sep 2025 20:49:20
Never play with the urgency needed.wen we need a goal.and when we need a goal we bring on munetsi and bellegarde AND still hav hwang on the pitch.so putting our faith in jsl is just hope!.it seems vp doesn't know his best first11 which doesn't help.but for me i'd keep sam in goal over sa.yet to see what arias n lopez bring.but we need a win and soon.obviously
