It is reported that Wolves are interested in signing Guinean striker Serhou Guirassey.
Does it really make sense when he will be unable to play for us from Jan - mid Feb due to ACON competition?

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 19 Dec 2023 18:19:17
Another one for the future presumably!

2.) 19 Dec 2023 20:41:31
He's being tracked by Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal apparently. He's having an outstanding season. Outscored Harry Kane in Bundesliga. Only a £12m release clause too.

3.) 19 Dec 2023 21:49:00
If he is tracked by United, Liverpool and Arsenal we can forget him. Doesn't stop us looking though.

4.) 20 Dec 2023 01:47:24
Guirassey is generally seen as one of the best young talents around right now! Saddly that also means we ain't getting him!
On a side note how delicious would it be if rumours are true and Nunos about to get the job at Forest over Lope! Oh I do hope so, cause Nuno will get that job off the many hours he put in at our place! Lope will see himself above Nuno (on cvs) but it counts for nothing sunshine! This is the Prem and Nuno has proven he can do it all, get promoted and build a team. Lope has only proven he can fight a fire and then look for his next increased pay cheque! Karma!

5.) 20 Dec 2023 13:20:47
Better check with Gary first. After all, he apparently isn't happy with former Bundesliga striker Sasa.

6.) 20 Dec 2023 16:08:30
Guirassy is 28 in March so hardly a young talent. Can't see this being any more than paper talk tho.

7.) 20 Dec 2023 16:52:18
He can't be one of the best young talents around can he? He turns 28 in March!
Or am I just approaching my prime at 65?

8.) 20 Dec 2023 17:55:01
Quite right, I put in one incorrect word still doesn't mean we will get him! Now on an unrelated note can anyone tell me how to spell pedant?! ?

9.) 22 Dec 2023 10:22:41
BullysBoy. Comment worthy of a tic! ?

06 Jul 2023 18:39:38
No sight of Jose Sa on any media or pre season training. Should we be worried?
Surely a much better keeper than Bentley.?

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 06 Jul 2023 19:51:22
Hasn't Sa been on international duty? May be he is one of the players due to join up in the next few days

2.) 07 Jul 2023 10:08:14
If, as according to Ed, Cunha is still only with us officially on loan, does that mean his £40m price or whatever is not currently in our Ffp problem figures, and if we do go forward and actually buy him ( which as elsewhere from me, I hope we don't!) does that add to our money problems, or eat up.a lot of the cash we have just raised?
Hope a few of you can throw some light onto that please

{Ed002's Note - You need to move on from FFP and finances - you are all becoming confused.}

Still no sign of Bruno Jordao, any update?

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 17 Dec 2019 19:45:15
He's back in training. Must be getting match fitness back.

04 Dec 2019 14:29:04
Does anyone have any news on Bruno Jordao?

Oxleymoorwolf

Has Enso Gonzales seen any action since his arrival?
Is he training with first team squad?

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 02 Feb 2024 17:12:19
Yes where is Enso hiding?

2.) 02 Feb 2024 18:00:53
Very good question I've been thinking the same since the signing of lemina's kid brother.

3.) 02 Feb 2024 18:45:40
A few months ago GON said he was struggling to adapt to the climate and so other things were being introduced such as bring some of his family over to assist him and he was to be utilised next season.

4.) 02 Feb 2024 19:58:41
Struggling to adapt to the climate? That's a new one on me; Wolvo is hardly the South Pole. The lad has only just turned 19 so has time on his side. He's actually been away for the last month playing in Olympic games qualifiers (which are for U 23's);he's started in 2 out of 3 games and Paraguay are second in their group of 5 behind Argentina.

5.) 03 Feb 2024 11:09:20
He was mentioned on talktop6 the other day.sure they said he's out on loan somwer as he's classed as not a premier league player by wolves

6.) 03 Feb 2024 14:12:29
Not bothered to read my post, Bux? He's not gone on loan anywhere. As an update, he played 63 minutes of Paraguay's 2-1 defeat to Chile after my recent comments.

Very wary of Broja given he has not long recovered from acute anterior cruciate ligament injury. ala Kalajdzic

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 01 Feb 2024 12:30:23
Agree Oxley.big Loan Fee, bad injury.not for me.

2.) 01 Feb 2024 13:54:20
Fully agree.
In fact I would be sceptical about paying 5M as a transfer fee never mind as a loan fee.

3.) 01 Feb 2024 17:55:48
Off to Fulham anyway so doesn’t matter now.

05 Jan 2024 21:55:17
A 1-1 draw against Brentford might not be a bad thing as at least the replay will eat up one of the three game bans handed to Gomes for the red card

Heckingbottom is dillusional if he thinks that is a penalty. However we look a spent force without Pedro Neto so should prepare for a lean time until he returns. Plenty of honest endeavour but no pace or players with the tactical nous to penetrate defences.
GON can only work with the squad which he has and it's far to shallow.

Tommy Doyle game changer, excellent distribution, almost "Rubenesque' today.time will tell?1

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 21 Oct 2023 18:29:01
Agreed Oxley. Excellent pass from Doyle on that goal.

2.) 21 Oct 2023 18:36:02
From the little I've seen of him I actually think that's a very apt comparison. He's obvs got some way to go to get to Ruebens level but his distribution and calmness for his age definitely seem (like you say) very Ruebeneque (great term btw). We might have just found a gem there ?

3.) 21 Oct 2023 18:37:17
Absolutely agree Oxleymoor. I just love a midfielder who finds the gaps and channels. Do you think he will be a starter soon? He should be!

4.) 21 Oct 2023 18:40:05
He was great. Played so well. Lovely balls to get us moving. Hwang, his touch to set up the winner was class.

5.) 21 Oct 2023 19:27:04
Solid 3 points which consolidates our lift away from the bottom group. Got to applaud GON for organising this squad and starting to get a tune out of them. No doubt defeats to come, but if goals are coming more easily and we get points where we should, we may be able to look positively to improvements with a solid aquad next season.

6.) 21 Oct 2023 19:55:28
O'Neil has instilled a steely determination into this squad. Long may it continue.

7.) 21 Oct 2023 20:31:32
Comparing Tommy Doyle to Alex Scott, I'd take Doyle.

8.) 21 Oct 2023 21:01:43
Agree Lostcity. She wouldn't last the pace any more.

9.) 22 Oct 2023 00:51:36
Great sub choices made by GON. Two of them were involved in goals (Doyle and Sasa). I like that GON made the sub change to add offense with Doyle for Gomes. Gomes is much more defensive which is fine, but we needed an extra spark and Doyle has an eye to move ball forward a slot into strikers. I think Cunha as false 9 is still our best option right now with our style of play and using Hwang and Neto as our main attack. Cunha has been working hard every week even though the goals haven't come much, so happy he finally got one. But, i'm also so happy for Sasa to get another goal in his limited playing time. Hwang and Neto have to be close to the most prolific offensive pairing in the league so far.

10.) 22 Oct 2023 06:04:51
Love it old wulf.

Appreciate comments but agents fees alone would probably prohibit deal given FFP restrictions.
