Looks like West Ham have stolen the march on free transfer Joel Matip.

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 03 Sep 2024 13:15:33
Was we ever in for him for West Ham to steel a march on wolves

2.) 03 Sep 2024 13:23:06
Never mentioned Wolves Wolvo1963 just a generic comment.

Please NO Dedonker say it's not true!

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 28 Aug 2024 21:19:11
Agree that would be a big step backwards. Surely in the Championship or even lower there must be a centre half that can defend crosses.

2.) 29 Aug 2024 02:18:56
Ray do you watch the wolves?
Donk played at the back whilst Boly was injured arguably one of of best cbs read the game well and took us to the European qf.
In midfield he looked lost and was deployed like a box to box midfielder which he wasnt.
He would be a good player to have in the squad as he has high standards when he was here before and he always gave his all which is all any fan can expect.
Also he keeps getting in the Belgium squad and he has played European football since wolves so he isn't as hopeless as you think.

3.) 29 Aug 2024 20:35:08
I'm not knocking Dendonker Madman, I just think he was the past and there is no going back. I thought the same with Doc and I don't think he is the player he was. It would help if we made our mind up whether we are back 4 or 5.

28 Aug 2024 15:46:21
Does anyone know the current status of Fabio Silva? All seems to have gone quiet.

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 28 Aug 2024 16:15:51
Yeah he's still rubbish and massively over paid! ?
Joking aside Oxley I suspect the wage will be the problem, teams have been tied with him then likely run a mile when they hear how much we were crazy enough to give him! ?

2.) 28 Aug 2024 18:24:30
Bully's, how could you? That's a generational talent you are so dismissive of!??

23 Jul 2024 11:06:04
Does anyone have any update on GON new contract/extension? A bit worrying that's all gone quiet on the subject.

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 23 Jul 2024 13:58:53
Just like you were abit worried Hwang was going? Anyone would think you are looking for problems Oxley? He's already on a rolling contract if the club aren't worried why are you?

2.) 23 Jul 2024 20:10:19
I did read a couple of weeks ago that it may be September after the transfer window is over before GoN's contract situation is sorted. Getting the squad done first was deemed more important.

15 Jul 2024 13:58:26
Evidently Hwang wants to leave for Marseille and has agreed personnel terms as reported by "One Football".

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 15 Jul 2024 14:30:44
£50m plus for Neto and it will be a good summer window for Fosun.
Players come and go and it doesn’t really matter if we don’t know any of the starting 11 for the first match of the season as we will be able to recognise them by their new Sudu shirts.

2.) 15 Jul 2024 15:35:16
Maybe the interest in Hamer from Sheffield United is us looking for a replacement for Hwang. Believe we were tracking him when he was with Coventry. Can play a number of positions, with an eye for goal. Not as prolific as Hwang though.

3.) 15 Jul 2024 16:20:39
Wolfwhistle Liam Keen has reported we have no interest in Hameror the CH.

4.) 15 Jul 2024 17:03:29
If this is true then Wolves need to ensure that his goals are replaced. Hopefully the signing of Larsen and Gomes will allow us to tweak the team and make us more prolific.

5.) 16 Jul 2024 10:24:56
No he doesn’t hahahaha

6.) 16 Jul 2024 10:37:46
Sheff utd.youre kidding.wouldnt want ANY player from them.and why sell hwang?.im not his biggest fan but last ssn he was bang on until the asia cup came around.wer going to need another fwd anyway.coz those kids just aren't upto it

7.) 16 Jul 2024 17:20:55
Greenwood and Hwang? Seems unlikely.

8.) 18 Jul 2024 09:29:41
Do not believe everything you read.

9.) 21 Jul 2024 10:57:42

I just have to reiterate that we desperately need a fitness coach.
Most players are exhausted after 70 mins surely GON can see this in training sessions?
Would never had happen in NES regime.

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 23 Oct 2024 20:54:18
We've got 2 of them. Mark Piros Read and Sam Cook.

2.) 23 Oct 2024 21:25:37
Valid point Oxley as players are regularly out on feet after 60 mins but 4 at back system is also to blame as it asks people to run so much more than Nuno's did. Are the players well enough drilled/organised. We do seem to be headless chickens so much of the time?

3.) 24 Oct 2024 09:15:39
Perhaps the fact that we can't keep possession and are subsequently forever chasing the ball causes us to to wilt before the full 90 minutes. They currently can't seem to manage any degree of ball retention, constantly giving it away cheaply and suffering the consequences.

Just watched the Ruben Neves farewell video on You Tube again.
Whatever happened to the "pack" mentality of that era?
Unbelievable team and manager, so difficult to replace or emulate.

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 16 Oct 2024 13:13:23
That was a great time to be a Wolves fan and I would suggest a Wolves player and employee Oxley.

This is at the crux of my thoughts, you create something special, a bow wave of success earning the approval and admiration of the world and his dog. Then instead of feeding that successful pack mentality, tweaking it when necessary to keep it rolling forward, you make a series of decisions that frankly just undermines everything you have achieved and you lose that momentum, why?

This is not unusual for Wolves, supporting this club has always been like riding along a saw blade but you would have thought that now having significant financial backing that would have been more of a hacksaw blade than a tree saw blade. My gripe isn't about how much money Fosun has or hasn't put in it's about the decision making and how it's been spent. I'm guessing the Chinese Governments change in attitude towards Western football was more of a catalyst than people thought.

However, decisions are made at the top but who is at the top, Fosun, Fosun and Jeff Shi, Fosun, Jeff Shi and the Wolves Board or just Jeff Shi and the Board? Who is making these decisions that are seemingly costing the Club/Fosun millions whilst simultaneously putting things into decline? I know there are many layers to this, and many of the layers in isolation can contribute to failure. The players, the coach even the backroom/medical staff can all play a part.

On paper we've bought some good players but are they, not better footballers, but more effective than the ones we've sold? results say no. Was it wise to give GON a 4 year contract given the poor results towards the end of last season, results say no. Has GON got the ability to turn this around? results say no.

So yet again a recently made decision may have to be re-visited. If it's not the owners why are they putting up with this, as it's been going on for about 4 years now?

2.) 16 Oct 2024 18:14:52
Let's remind ourselves of lopetegui longmynd, what was he told/not told on appointment? Why did he jump ship at the last minute?. I know he has a reputation for it, but I cannot but think he was indeed missold the job, and in fairness Bruno wasn't far off Europe before his (?) sell offs and depletions. Maybe GON is seen as a yes man, doing what fosun suggest, but I don't think he seemed that happy with the transfer window.
Yes Nuno brought us something special, created something special and Fosun were prepared to back the new investment with lots of promises and ambition, maybe letting the football minds do the business rather than, as now it seems, the business heads trying to cash in on footballers.
Yes it'll be a long time until we ever see the club as united as it was under Nuno, we rattled the top of the table teams threatening a resurgent future, but sadly we know how it ended.

3.) 16 Oct 2024 21:04:08
All of that Abbey, a pattern of consistently inconsistent and ill judged decision making, by who being my question?

Still the damage has been done now so what decisions are made next are crucial, get this wrong and we're down.

To our so called hierarchy:
This is not a "project" it's absolute "abject"

05 Oct 2024 16:17:39
How on earth did we pay £10m for this GK?

Oxleymoorwolf

1.) 05 Oct 2024 17:21:59
The huge mistake was not replacing Kilman, that was down to Hobbs, don't know if he had any part in signing this keeper, seen better in the Sunday league. Sticking with a back 4 is a waste of time with players available, it requires 2 good centre backs and 2 proper full backs who can defend. We have none of those so bye bye Premier. At least some other Midland teams are keeping the flag flying e.g Villa, Brum, Albion and Walsall, we are just cannon fodder now.

2.) 05 Oct 2024 17:30:12
It's unfortunate for on

3.) 05 Oct 2024 17:33:04
It's unfortunate for oniell the
Run of fixtures to start the season
Was the worst case scenario
So Brentford was a must must win
So he's got to go, I can't see him making any difference whatsoever
So we can only hope a new manager
Will do so

4.) 06 Oct 2024 07:59:42
enough is enough lions lead by a donkey

5.) 07 Oct 2024 08:21:01

Rob Edward’s WS?…. how very underwhelming, why would we swop a Championship manager at best for a Division 2 manager at best?
Having said that who in their right mind would want to take this shambolic mess on and worki with Shi, Hobbs and Co purveyors of “the abject project”.`
Hard working fans who have paid there dues IN ADVANCE deserve so much better.

Let’s get real guys, its not about who we prefer as next manager it’s about who would be prepared to accept given our circumstances.
May as well stick with GON, let’s get behind him as he would be the only one who would take this challenge on anyway and put up with this shambolic heirarchy.
