John textor puts a 400 million offer on the table to fosun!

OOTD

1.) 27 Oct 2025 10:13:24
Would that be £400M that he hasn't got.

2.) 27 Oct 2025 10:51:16
Apparently it was 100 million in money plus 310 million in shares in his company, Fosun not interested in the shares and only want a straight sale. He’s now looking at championship clubs, he could wait until next season when we are one and put another offer in
Personally I wouldn’t be bothered if Jack the Ripper came in to buy us as long as it got the parasites fosun out

3.) 27 Oct 2025 11:34:36
One offer, even if potentially unacceptable, can bring another offer out of the woodwork. This is beginning to make sense, as it was reported that an 11-person delegation from Fosun travelled from China for the Burnley match. No disrespect to the Clarets, but there must be some other, and strategic, reason for the visit!

4.) 27 Oct 2025 12:59:44
Not sure, apart from the Uefa cock up at Palace, he's established that club well investing in the academy. Other clubs like Botafogo and RWDM Brussels have moved forward. That said all I know about him is from Wikipedia.

5.) 27 Oct 2025 17:24:08
I'd much rather have Textor with his proven ability to bring success than Fosun. Ask yourself this question. Would you rather be in Wolves' position or Palaces?

6.) 27 Oct 2025 17:46:04
Don’t know a lot about him but isn’t he in debt and didn’t Lyon nearly get relegated last year because of failure to pay transfer fees or something or other like that?

7.) 29 Oct 2025 07:42:33
Textor's model is the same as Grant's at Man Utd, borrow the money and pay it back with dividend money, only difference is Man Utd is a global institution and Botafoga etc aren't, keep well away. Also, "careful what you wish for", Fosun are a sound business even if they lack great knowledge of football, we don't want to fall into similar ownership that has appeared in recent years at Birmingham, Sheffield etc. Finally VP seems to have lost his way but some of the muppets I've seen linked to the post will be a backward step. As Munetsi said "we're in this together, players, manager and fans", get behind the team COYW

8.) 29 Oct 2025 10:31:00
I agree on all point Jako.
We have 6 new players with now premier league experience and lost 4 games by a goal.
Not exactly end of GON tenure form. They well in parts Sunday didn't take their chances and let 3 soft goals in.
I would return to a back 5 not sure what team I would players I would choose though.
Johnstone
Jackson Doc Krejci Toti Bueno
Andre Gomes Bellagarde (Or Munetsi)
R Gomes (as he has pace) Larsen

9.) 29 Oct 2025 14:01:00
I kind of agree Madman, it may just be that there's an element of luck/trial and error needed in finding the players that can gel together, only problem being that time could run out. If I recall Micks last days, we were losing games by the odd goal for much of the Autumn, and then the flood gates opened against Albion of all teams.

10.) 29 Oct 2025 14:41:14
I agree Madman, we were having worse results with GON, who of course had some star players at his disposal. In spite of a complete lack of confidence, we're not exactly being thrashed every game. But the wins have to come somehow or else it's very bleak.

11.) 29 Oct 2025 19:05:00
Cheers chaps, just thought Sunday was a bit embarrassing about "not being fit to wear the shirt".
Believe me I'm frustrated like every other fan. But giving abuse to new players, our best players and Vitor and his team isn't the way forward.
We have to stick together and get some points on the board pre January that's the situation.
Its a modern football phenomenon that sacking the manager is the go to for every issue.
I think this is foolish during most games we have seen Wolves press and be successful with the chances created so far this season.
We need clean sheets and to pick points up and I think with the fans and everyone behind Vitor and the team we can do it.
ODCL
PS I don't think Fosun should get away lightly but I do think its important to remember what they have done for our club even when the footballing landscape changed with PSR rules, FFP and the impact of Covid.
There intentions were pure and they followed through with massive investment and changing the way we were seen. It had been 40 years in the wilderness.
In the covid season we were 5 points off champions league and were robbed of 15 points by VAR. I don't get excited by the footy now it is a fix and that season proved it for me.
Also this summer the club spent £100m+ its not like they have sold every asset and stripped the club. Fosun want Wolverhampton Wanderers to generate its own revenue by various means which means we can invest in the club and move forwards.
We should be careful what we wish for they have only just put this director of football in who has worked with Vitor. The summer transfer window was crazy as the big clubs made a lot more moves than anyone expected. The club also kept Andre, Larsen, Hwang and Johnstone. I'm sure there would have been offers for Agbadou, Gomes and others aswell.

12.) 29 Oct 2025 19:19:16
I remember Mick as well Arddunby we shouldn't have sacked him as he still had the squad with him after that game.
But after Mick went we lost 4 games by a goal and drew 4 games.
If we had won those 4 games we would stayed up.
Literally 12 points needed from 13 games I would have fancied Mick getting us that.

13.) 31 Oct 2025 08:03:01
Interesting that you see keeping Hwang as a positive, Madman.

GON! Needs to be Gone!

OOTD

05 Dec 2024 06:38:05
I said in October after the Brentford game that O'Neil and his trumpton coaching team were clueless, unable to deal with set pieces, failing to pick up runners, unable to close down the opposition, poor at defending crosses! But apparently by some on here I was being hard on O'Neil and he just needed time! Let's hope that time has run out!

He looked quite panicked when looking at his little ipad last night! I can only think it was the lack of appointment's with his cosmetic dentists or he was unable to get a suitable tee time to play golf, because it certainly was nothing to do with tactics and how to set up a team!

OOTD

1.) 05 Dec 2024 08:12:12
did not like him from day one cheap option by jeff shi matt hobbs after Coventry should have gone

2.) 05 Dec 2024 10:23:32
Really don't understand why people are fixated on him using a tablet?! Would it be OK if it was a clip board then?! Cause I hate to break it to you guys but an tablet is just a modern day clip board!
It's hilarious cause it just shows how some people will jump ON ANY excuse to have a go at the guy! You do realise that when you are making this post you are using some form of computer right?! Does that make you incompetent at your job does it?! What a load of luddite nonsense!
It's fine to moan about his job performance but this c

3.) 05 Dec 2024 10:25:36
Whoops sorry sent early!
'This consistent focus on him using a tablet is frankly childish and to be honest somewhat bizarre (not just aimed at you OOTD)! Just to clarify here it's 2024 guys and a clip board does not maketh the coach! ?

4.) 05 Dec 2024 11:22:08
Because he's watching replays of the live action Billy's and that makes him reactive not proactive! He should be watching the live performance (sadly like we have to!) set pieces (all goals from Everton!) should have been drilled in training!

5.) 05 Dec 2024 12:17:17
How do you know what he's looking at, are you sat behind him? He's almost certainly looking at tactic boards and live data analysis, because that's how the modern game works! Loads of people use tablets in modern footy because it's 2024! Using a tablet (much like the guys teeth BTW) have little to no impact on how he does his job! You should tell him to drill set pieces, we have one of the worst records in the league for um and I'm sure it's never dawned on him for the squad to train at them?! ?

07 Nov 2024 16:14:54
Excerpt from a report in the telegraph!

It is also stated that training sessions are 'meticulously planned and provide a clear picture of how O'Neil wants his team to play.

Enough said!

1.) 08 Nov 2024 00:47:22
What exactly is said by this?! So any managers that is trying to polish the previbial t@rd is lying are they?! He said its how they WANT to play he NEVER said the squad was good enough for it?! Where have I heard this before, oh that's right Nuno and Bruno both said the same thing (particularly regarding a back four)! That's three Prem quality managers now who have all said the same thing, who CLEARLY know less about the game than you! But of course your right it's definetly a manager problem and not a club problem. Let's employ Edwards and watch history repeat itself, then you can get to the part you enjoy doing and blame the next manager crazy enough to join the line?! Remind me what did Einstein say was the definition of insanity (you probs know more than him to:)?! Trying the same thing again and again and expecting different results?! But yeah definitely a manager problem! Priceless ?

2.) 08 Nov 2024 05:51:20
Wood from the tree's!

3.) 08 Nov 2024 06:34:53
If GON is trying to play a system that the players "not good enough for" and not able to win any games then he must adapt his system or get out. I don't understand what GON is trying to do but it sure isn't working. Maybe bullysBoy can explain the system to me.Anyway. A manager who start to blame the players don't usually last very long. And I understand OOTD point.

4.) 08 Nov 2024 06:43:08
Well Bully, we have had our healthy exchanges, but we are very much aligned on your view about the Club.
I sense Fosun are now feeling it might be time to cash in, based on this weeks's news regarding the buyout of the Private Equity company, the Club is valued at just under £500m.a big return on their initial investment 8 years ago.
Leave it to May and that value will at least half!

5.) 08 Nov 2024 08:59:49
The runes certainly stack up for a sale. Buying out the minority shareholder, lack of infrastructure investment or plans to do so, sale of good players, Chinese Govt. directive re foreign sports clubs. Best not leave it too long or the suggested valuation will fade considerably along with future income.

6.) 08 Nov 2024 13:07:09
This share buy back is happening across the Fosun Group Rugeley/Wimbourne and I quote:

"Fosun International (SEHK:656) is actively enhancing its market position with a strategic share repurchase program, authorized to buy back up to 10% of its issued share capital, aiming to boost net asset value and earnings per share."

So I doubt this is an indication that they are looking to sell Wolves anytime soon, in fact this may benefit us in the longer term as the group continues it's recovery from the lows of 2022, providing we can survive at the highest level.

7.) 08 Nov 2024 16:09:40
To be honest Long buddy I think that's positive spin from Fosun. Because the investors in question had a break clause in the contract and THEY elected to use said clause. So one of the only actual investors Fosun could find after nearly five years took there money back as quickly as they could! Clearly just another indicator of how well Fosun are running our club according to some! ?

8.) 08 Nov 2024 17:34:57
You may well be right Bullys, I've no idea if Fosun bought it's shares back or Peak cashed them in. However, Fosun's trading performance has improved plus they have been divesting their shares in non core businesses to get their borrowing down, such as their 8.9% holding in Ageas Insurers, which raised about $750M alone.

My thought being if Wolves are worth £500M if they needed to sell they would have by now.

05 Nov 2024 11:03:35
How about this line up for Saturday? Sa, pond, Dawson, bueno, toti, ( yes I know a back 4) forbes, doyle, lemina, gomes, ran and stick Cunha up front, might get 3points!

OOTD

1.) 05 Nov 2024 12:00:57
I usually leave it up to O'Neil and his staff, but given they are clueless, might as well have a go myself!

2.) 05 Nov 2024 12:15:11
In the 4centre backs, you get a stronger backline against set pieces, lemina can drop back when needed, Doyle and Gomes have strength and drive in the centre of midfield, we have natural pace in Forbes and RAN going forward, easing the defensive pressure on them, they can feed Cunha, who is quicker and a better finisher than Larson.

3.) 05 Nov 2024 14:37:20
And by the way, if they bring Moyes, that is how he will set the team up!

4.) 05 Nov 2024 15:12:56
Doesn’t sound such a bad idea actually, but rather then Doyle, Gomes and Lemina, any 2 of those and Guedes together with Cunha, think with there running at defenders could cause them problems

5.) 05 Nov 2024 15:49:40
A bit out there but Strand Larsen has to play so how about this team:

Sa in goal, LB Toti, RB Semedo, CBs Dawson and Bueno. DM Gomes, AM Doyle. LW Guedes, RW Forbs, FWs Cunha and Strand Larsen.

Defensively, not the best but we need to win so this team will score goals.

6.) 05 Nov 2024 16:28:52
No way will Forbes and Guedes start but RAN will.

7.) 05 Nov 2024 18:17:54
At this stage, whilst GON is in charge, we know we'll concede goals. Our last clean sheet in the league was against Sheff Utd way back in February but still, no one experienced was brought in to tighten the defence.

8.) 05 Nov 2024 20:27:55
You do realise the transfer window is closed WS?

9.) 05 Nov 2024 20:31:20
By the way I'm being flippent about the team selection above I don't think it really matters how we setup or who plays, these players have been coached clueless by O'Neil and his staff!

10.) 05 Nov 2024 21:48:15
I meant over the summer E. All the talk of Elvedi etc coming in and we ended up with Bastien Meupiyou who is both inexperienced and injured.

11.) 05 Nov 2024 22:23:07
But we had Mosquera and no one could have foreseen his injury.
GON prefers four at the back and we had 4 centre halves so two players for each centre back position.
Allowing Hugo to go out on loan to a CL club was bizarre as we had no cover for RAN and so the system was never going to work.

12.) 06 Nov 2024 08:02:03
You mean the same Mosquera who got a season ending injury the last time he was in the first team?! Along with a our best CB being 34 years old I'm afraid naive doesn't come close to our approach to sqaud planning! ?

13.) 06 Nov 2024 12:58:49
The question remains tho bully's, who was responsible for those decisions and under what pressures? GON, Hobbs, Shi, Fosun?

14.) 06 Nov 2024 14:20:16
Problem is Abbey (as I've said before) that isn't really how modern football works to be honest, very rarely is it one person's decision. So to answer your question ALL of them are at fault! Shi ultimately has final say at the club but he by extension is just Fosuns mouthpiece. I suspect Hobbs and GON will work collaboratively (as is the way at most clubs), however for all that it doesn't change the fact that in the days after the window shut Gary said 'it didn't go how I was told it would' which is hardly a ringing endorsement for the process is it? All of which doesn't change the position that the club finds itself in, yet AGAIN I might add! Some seem to have forgotten that we are in virtually the EXACT same position we were two seasons ago with Lage. If we are having the same issue every couple of years with different managers surely at some point we need to address the fact that this looks more like a club problem than a manager problem?!

15.) 07 Nov 2024 19:32:37
He surely needs to play forbs more. e looks superquick and will frighten defenders.still unsure about guedes. maybe burnley is his level? lemina was awesome when he came on v palace gomes is quality.as is cunha.jsl is doing a decent job.ran is only good going fwd as is semedo. scoring goals doesn't really seem2be a problem, but like I said wem it come to defending. especially as a whole unit wer clueless, which has to come from coaching/training.do we actually study the opposition.

21 Oct 2024 08:55:52
That was a below par city performance without, Rodri, KDB and Oscar Bob, with Foden and Grealish coming on late in the match.

Although slightly improved from the Brentford game (not hard to do!) there are still basic issues, players have to stay with runners and prevent crosses, the opposite must be closed down, (Gomes left gvardiol unmarked on the edge of the box, watch the replay!) you have stay with your man at corners!

They have to find a way of sustained possession, it's not happening! You can't score without the ball!

There is still a glaring fitness issue!

VAR is not going away!

And for those who want to quote stats, go ahead, the only stat that matters is we are bottom of the table with 1 point with nearly a quarter of the season gone!

GON's Barmy Army, we must be F*#@"*G Barmy to stomach this!

OOTD

1.) 21 Oct 2024 09:32:08
We defended well and if we defend like that against Brighton we will be fine as we scored twice against them earlier in the season in the Carabau Cup.
I’m going for Brighton 1-3 Wolves.
Keep the faith.FWAW.

2.) 21 Oct 2024 12:15:50
Brighton are in form and getting good results. I expect Wolves to lose we are just not good enough.

Pretty good today, as I have said since October they have had the talent coached out of them by O'Neil and his trumpton team, they are quality premiership players, who just needed a premier quality coach, but I doubt you and bullysboys won't admit it now will you? This should of happened 8weeks ago!

Andy pan ( not Pandy) vice president of fosun and president of fosun media and entertainment, I doubt he was here for a free hospitality meal!

We really don't know what's going on fosun say they only want investors and not to sell the club, but you don't put £400m on the table on a whim overnight, this must have been going back and forth for some time.

Then of course there has to be due diligence and the FA's right and proper checks! So even if it's not textor and eagle holdings its a long term project to buy out and take over a premier league club, unless textor accepts something like 30-40% investment opportunity?

I just give in now, I left the match Sunday to hear two fans saying Burnley robbed us of a point! Is that what it has come to? We were rubbish and they were better, complaining we were robbed of a point! Laughable!

£150m and £250 in shares, John textor, who was involved with palace, is involved with Lyon and a Brazilian club, can't remember which, he has fingers in a lot of pies, not saying its the right or wrong thing to do to sell to textor, but this won't have happened overnight.

Interesting that the second in command in fosun entertainment was over here at the weekend, read into that what you will.
