An experienced player up for grabs could be a certain Leander Dendoncker.
1.) 18 Jun 2025 16:05:01
I also saw us being linked with resigning Coady on Sky, strange times indeed ?
2.) 19 Jun 2025 09:46:44
Both good additions for squad depth Said Donk would have been good in January.
3.) 19 Jun 2025 11:32:48
We certainly need depth and experience, in addition to young first team starters.
4.) 20 Jun 2025 17:06:52
Can’t believe we are even considering either of these two options. Both struggled toward the end of their time first time around. Both have declined significantly since them
There is no place for sentiment in this league. It is improving year on year and becoming ever more competitive. Increasingly difficult for promoted teams.
Surely lessons will be learned from last year when we found ourselves in a relegation dog fight with them. Whose to say one or two might buck the trend and move comfortably into mid-table safety. We need upgrades in all areas of the team and neither of these will provide that.

At this incredibly sad time I really wish I was articulate enough to.put into words my admiration for Ruben Neves
1.) 05 Jul 2025 15:26:49
I absolutely endorse your words Ron, apparently he was one of the coffin bearers, what an emotional time, and a time when true character is seen.
2.) 05 Jul 2025 17:30:50
Of all the very many great players our great club have had I would put Neves in the very top bracket along with the likes of Stan Cullis, Billy Wright, John Richards, Steve Bull. Not just a great player but a great human being. A true Wolves legend.
04 Jul 2025 10:19:46
Other Clubs deal at the start of the window why not Wolves? Vitor needs players to work with now not two days before what's going to be a difficult season starts.
1.) 04 Jul 2025 11:59:54
You do realise that most of the players are still on holiday don't you? Pre season starts for most team in the next week or so.
2.) 04 Jul 2025 13:31:49
Fair but I think the passing of Jota is more pertinent at the moment. We may have players that are linked with us that have played with Jota or players in our squad who are good friends with Jota as well.
That makes you think of things a bit differently.
3.) 04 Jul 2025 18:16:31
That's a very good point indeed madman, and of course players should be allowed to mourn . Liverpool have delayed their return to the training ground accordingly.
One point I've noted is that in the clickbait reports we seem to be missing out on players or preparing or plotting (a description that always amuses me) bids. I would have thought VP etc would have earmarked who they'd prefer working within budgetary boundaries, of course we don't know for certain whatll be coming in for certain players, indeed we don't know if we'll be paying out for samedo or wether we'll need a replacement.
We seem to be palmed of every year and start the season without time.
I hope VP won't be going the same way as lops.
4.) 04 Jul 2025 19:26:09
Absolutely Abbey. Just feel fans should show a bit more respect at this time. It's not right to announce signings within 48 hours of the awful Jota news.
I think the club have it lined up things will become clearer given time.
5.) 05 Jul 2025 10:47:45
I agree. Even if there are players ready to be announced as new signings they should be kept under wraps for a little while out of respect.
24 Jun 2025 18:57:24
QS : Short, to the point, best post I've come across in a long time.
1.) 25 Jun 2025 09:53:02
Ron-I'll take the sarcasm with a pinch of salt-no offence intended.
However to expand a little-I see very intelligent posts on here citing the Fosun era as one of the most successful in the club's history-which to a certain extent maybe true-certainly the first three years of Nuno's tenure-and how we should be grateful-yet the same posters are rightly critical of the lack of stadium expansion, the convoluted process of transfers deals, and the lack of communication from the hierarchy itself.
You can't have it all ways. The truth of the matter is Fosun have not taken this club forward since Nuno's departure, and there seems little intent of things changing-despite what has happened with the recent backroom changes.
Forgive me but I thought success was competing for trophies, European football-something Fosun and Shi in particular were claiming would be the club's goals and ambition from the offset. They have clearly reneged from that model, therefore it seems to me that a new administration with clear ambition would be the solution.
2.) 25 Jun 2025 10:24:19
Maybe they just got lucky with Nuno.
3.) 25 Jun 2025 10:30:34
Why is it no one wants to or even attempting to buy Wolves from what I can see, we are a premier league club ( at the moment), a good fan base that would grow given a little success and still no interest.
4.) 25 Jun 2025 11:00:27
Wolvo- why would anyone be attempting to buy a club which currently isn't even up for sale exactly?
5.) 25 Jun 2025 11:02:33
Maybe because the club isn't for sale!
6.) 25 Jun 2025 11:33:36
My point is simply new owners are always a massive gamble, and what do you do if it backfires? Force out the next set of owners?
What if new owners show ambition but waste the money and we moved backwards in the league or the losses resulted in points deductions? Do you criticise the board for screwing it up when they had ambition?
In an ideal world, we get investment spent wisely, move up the table and win a trophy or 10. Unfortunately that isn't the world we're in and trying to take that jump is not just a massive gamble, but the consequence of failure is huge.
You also have to keep in mind or when Fosun sell they will want to claw back debts and investment so as long as they can do that they will not care who the new buyer is or what their motives behind becoming new owners are.
I want owners who will invest where they can and succeed, but I won't kid myself that there's a queue of fit and proper people out there who won't actually take the club further backwards.
7.) 25 Jun 2025 11:40:40
Everything is for sale. Everyone and everything has a price
8.) 25 Jun 2025 12:29:46
Excellent post QS no long winded rhetoric, good articulation and is a very accurate summary.
9.) 25 Jun 2025 12:58:38
True QS but if you want to buy a new house do you just start knocking on people's doors or do you go on Rightmove?! Why is that? Simple because it's MUCH harder and more exspensive to buy something that isn't for sale!?! ?
10.) 25 Jun 2025 13:17:54
They stated a while back that investment or maybe a sale .
11.) 25 Jun 2025 13:34:29
They also stated 'a while back' that they wanted to replicate the Man City model but sadly times and realities often shift!
12.) 25 Jun 2025 16:51:34
The replicate Man City thing is always taken out of context and misses a few important statements within it:
"the long-term goal, of course, we want to be as good as Man City, even better than them in the future. We know how much Man City have invested into their squads and personally I don't think if you give me 10 years or 30 years, it's not impossible to match. Football is not all about money. We can learn from them and maybe we can do better than them, with the people, the team, the coach, the players. If combine that, maybe you can do something sooner than them or invest less and achieve the same goals."
I think the last sentence sums up the intention / naivety, but that gets filtered out to just the opening couple of sentences and the context is skewed.

Any Law changes for next season? One I'd like to see would be that substitutes are used as originally intended, to replace injured players, so any player substituted would automatically be unavailable for the next game, would put a stop to time wasting in added on time, players might even want to stay on the pitch for the duration.
1.) 02 Jun 2025 17:00:03
Pigs will fly first, Ron.16 man game now and it keeps players happier. Used to get transfer requests like confetti in the old days from unhappy at being left out players.
2.) 02 Jun 2025 18:58:39
The new law for next season to STOP time wasting is that a Goalkeeper must release the ball within 8 seconds of controlling it. Failure to do so will result in the opposition being awarded a corner.
This replaces the current 6 second rule and the award of a free kick which personally I've never seen used.
So to stop time wasting, they're allowing the player more time with the ball.
3.) 02 Jun 2025 21:07:39
Change the offside law, goals are being disqualified for the sake ofa elbow or toe cap because of VAR, then again we could get rid of.oh yea we've been there.
Seriously, the offsides that are 'discovered' after a goal, and its subsequent ruling out really annoy me, how can a fraction of an arm leg hand or toe really give unfair advantage?
4.) 03 Jun 2025 10:27:55
Abbeywolf ??? 19:1 VAR farce
It would be good if they stick to one shot penalties (as they do in shootouts) as opposed to rebound goals. It’s unfair for the goalie.
5.) 03 Jun 2025 19:17:07
"I want it to be the 1950s again".
At least "appearances" would mean something again.

Lack of ambition will catch up with Fosun in the not to distant future, Championship Clubs are investing on and off the pitch, standing still isn't an option, if Sunderland are promoted only five Stadiums in the PL will be smaller than Molineux and two of those are increasing capacity, the Graham Hughes temporary stand is an embarrasment and accommodating away fans the length of the pitch is just wrong, should've been sorted years ago, the pointless screens are relics from the past, the stadium situation is only going to get worse, it needs more than a coat of paint.
1.) 30 Apr 2025 06:10:35
Yes. On the rare occasions I buy match tickets I go into the GH stand as it's cheaper and pray for decent weather. It's always a great atmosphere in there, but you're right it's an embarrassment now for an established premier league team. Someone needs to ask Shi/Fosun the question. I honestly don't see the problem asking a direct question and ground improvements come under PSR.
2.) 30 Apr 2025 07:48:00
Whilst I'm not disagreeing with you Ron, I think the atmosphere at the mol one of the best provided by packed stands and proximity. The two old screens have always looked ugly but maybe nostalgia, perhaps my need for tiles, but I love em, they're like two older members of the family to me.
I'm being my old aged romantic view of memories past I know and molineux really could do with catching up in many ways, but I've said before if times get hard a large half empty stadium dosnt match a full small one.
The fans are an integral part of this club on match days, diluting them into bigger capacity might not always have the benefits you'd expect.
3.) 30 Apr 2025 08:54:16
One of the big issues around the redevelopment of the ground is the fact that Wolverhampton Council own the land around Molineux.
Also, the dual carriageway poses a problem as does the ASDA. The original plans that we all know about cannot be approved as Fosun will have to change the layout of the dual carriageway (re route the traffic) to accommodate the extra space to build a bigger stand.
The ground does need updating but how this happens is anyones guess.
4.) 30 Apr 2025 10:28:07
I absolutely agree with your premise, cause nothing gauls me more than Jeff sitting there saying 'yeah this is a long term investment for Fosun' and then seemingly spending absolutely diddly year on year when it comes to infrastructure.
The problem is here that Jeff/Fosun are entirely numbers driven, and going off the last availible numbers we made 9% of our overall revenue on ticket sales. So whilst I find it frustrating it's not entirely Fosuns fault. They've basically realised that your TV revenues have little to do with your ground size/ gate receipts! When you add to this that part of what caused Everton problems with PSR was interest costs associated with building the club's new stadium then you start to see why spending a truck load of money they are unlikely to ever make back is not so appealing to our somewhat want away owners!
I still agree mind, the Mol is quickly becoming a VERY dated stadium! ?
5.) 30 Apr 2025 16:45:48
Hello All, long time watcher, finally got round to registering. It was the thread about the stadium that finally decided me.
I don’t agree the Molineux is becoming very dated but I do agree the owners need to develop some of it.
I think the North bank/Stan Cullis stand is perfectly adequate and will remain so for some time. The Waterloo road/Billy Wright will also be good for several more years. The stands that are crying out for redevelopment are the other two.
The Molineux street/Steve Bull must be redeveloped soon and admittedly that would be costly. Finally the South bank/Jack Hayward should also be redeveloped asap.
I don’t see why the dual carriage way needs to be redirected. Surely there is plenty of space behind the existing stand? The club should build a further tier above the existing seating which could be incorporated into a single tier ‘kop’ stand to create an even better atmosphere.
This, actually, needn’t cost a fortune. Redeveloping the South bank would also give us the opportunity to fill in the two corners at that end.
Oh, and yes, the Graham Hughes is an embarrassment.
Just my opinion - don’t be too harsh.
6.) 30 Apr 2025 18:46:31
I am new here as well, reading for some time now, enjoy seeing all comments. I agree the Steve Bull needs re-development first and surely this can be done without any effect on the dual carriageway, seems a long way away so shouldn’t be an issue.
All hypothetical though as we all know unfortunately at least for now nothing is going to be done other than a paint.
As others have said, let us hope money is spent wisely on players this summer, one day, Fosun will hopefully decide to spend on the stadium.
16 Jun 2025 21:08:03
Love the way some of you still say "We" when the club do anything, there is no we since Fosun took over, it's them and us.
10 Jun 2025 19:20:01
Clubs don't tell fans anything that's going on or what the owners intentions are but when it comes to the Millions of £££££'s being chucked about like confetti we're supposed to take the figures involved as gospel, really, it makes absolutely no difference to fans whether a fee is a hundred Million or a hundred pounds anyway, its them and us, their money to play with, we can pay to watch, if we so choose.
13 Jul 2025 12:52:34
34 days to kick off and Fosun prioritise placing two shed / porta - cabin type huts behind the North Bank, which apparently they needed planning permission for, as for Wolves fans protesting, those days have long gone, most are customers who are only interested in watching PL, season tickets will be readily available when the inevitable happens.
05 Jun 2025 12:33:11
Nothing will change while Shi's running the show.
28 May 2025 16:47:58
Fosun and WWFC, One's a super rich conglomerate while the other is a Club having to sell players and struggling to stay in the Premier League, must be some reason for them to own the Club, it has little to do with football, unless of course you see trading players as an entertainment, same old, same old for next season, repetitive and boring is an understatement.
24 May 2025 10:49:56
McTominay at Napoli seems half decent, ideal replacement for you know who and definitely has a point to prove to a certain club.
22 May 2025 19:28:51
Wandering : They wait 'til a player has been offered better terms elsewhere then make them an offer they can refuse, see Semedo's new take it or leave it offer is on the table.
