Lets face it, its going to be a slog this season and lage will be gone probably before xmas. fosun havent backed him since giving him the job and they won't start now. hes like a deluded schoolboy. wer going to have to rely on a solid defence again but if that includes boly/cody we are doomed. the midfield will be non existant with neves playing tootoo deep motinhio almost drawing his pension in what will be 1 season too far and deddonkey who mite as well be making sausage rolls in greggs. a fwd line up of jiminez who just ain't up 2 it anymore and hwang who trots around the pitch with no interest. neto and podence for all. their skill just have NO end product much like traore. the only hope we have is that neves and traore will be playing for a move and so make an effort because neves will. soon be putting a transfer request in after seeing the club go backwards again.

Plus Alexis Sanchez now a free agent?

5.) 01 Aug 2022 20:32:22
Season hasn't started and the glasses are half empty already. some fans just never stop with being negative, give the season a start.
Agree Bruno hasn't been backed yet, but I still think one or 2 players are still to arrive.

6.) 01 Aug 2022 23:10:06
I agree Buxwolf, I love wolves always have done we have shown no really intention of signing players and fosun not backing Lage with teams around improving and wolves standing still I think it's going to be a difficult season

7.) 02 Aug 2022 12:52:35
Bux- is there anyone in the current squad that you actually do like or rate?! What a load of absolute nonsense,I always find play time boring once the kids start using nasty nick names!
The season before getting injured Neto was rated 3rd best under 21 in Eurpore for playing a hand in goals but you think he has no end product, hilarious! This is the problem with the transfer window, it just encourages all the trolls! Doesn't sound to me like you even support Wolves?!

8.) 02 Aug 2022 13:15:29
I'm pretty sure the win rate with dendoncker in the team is a fair bit higher than when he isn't so clearly he does something that you fail to see

9.) 02 Aug 2022 14:07:40
Flash- oh the win rate is definitely better with Dendoncker in the team. Some won't have that on here though cause its logical and factual which gets in the way of there incredibly childish need to have a scape goat in the team! Apparently some of those are now picking on Coady. Having a go at the best captain we've had for generations, it's laughable that they call themselves fans to be honest buddy! ??

All the posters on here who complain about lack of investment should go back about six years and remind themselves of the squad we had back then.
Now our squad features multiple internationals, players coveted by a multitude of top teams and individuals who will command high sale values.
We have just invested a significant sum on one defender and I'm sure are ready to move again for the right player, and that is the gist of it, no point in just filling places with any individual who happens to be available and willing to come any appointment needs to better the squad or its a wasted opportunity.

Well at least we've just signed up another sponsor, from the Wolves website:
Wolves have secured a record sponsorship deal with leading online trading platform Trade Nation, who become the club’s official FX trading partner ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Winton - of course you make a very valid point. Over the 6 year period Fosun are the best owner we have had in most people on here's lifetime by a distance.
However i'm not sure if you saw my note on this very topic where I discussed the 6 year period and postualted that it can be split into two periods. In the first 4 years Fosun were blindingly brilliant amazing - no doubt! However post Seville I believe that there is a good case to say that they have not been a good owner! Net net when combined you are correct but I'm not sure you can compare the full 6 year period with the last 2.
Indeed if we look back and compare any period to a well chosen other period we can make any arguement we like. For example the many years (for some disappointing) languishing in the Championship were brilliant compared to the period spent in Div 4 (old money!) and the current side even pre Seville is rubbish compared to the team of the 50s that bestrode the world not just England!
The question for me is how are we doing now and is that as good as it could be - are we making the right decisions, is the club going forwards?
Over the 6 year period undeniably we have gone massively forwards but is that an even advance or did we go forwards rapidly in years 2-4 and then have stalled if not started to roll backwards?
It may seem ungrateful but I want Wolves to go forwards/compete all the time and whilst I loved years 2-4, years 5 and 6 have left me feeling slightly frustrated and disappointed as we seemingly watch all that amazing progress dissipate in front of our eyes.

I'm with Thefuturesoldgold on this.
Sure I went with my Dad in the 50's / 60s to see that super team, but where we have got to and been under Fosun, and in a so different and money world is fantastic.
In what we have achieved and where we are was beyond our dreams mainly for decades before and despite the loving and generous committment of Sir Jack
So let's never forget what we didn't have and we have now
.But, Fosun have stepped if the gas in the last couple of years and I'm so disappointed they have pushed on and continued to built and go.further
I hope no one will rubbish what Nuno did for us, but I do think he had lost his way.
Bruno also has done well with very little input from Fosun.
I worry a bit about him being toooo accepting of what Jeff and Fosun give him.
And why we seem to live in fear and Jeff takes the line of sticking strictly to Fair Play Rules, when so many others dont, I can't understand.
We all know (don't we?) we are crying out for a couple more players,- espc up front and midfield!
.only whisper it but we must get complacent about keeping Ruben .yet.another month if window, and he's still on some in some of the Big boys windows

14.) 03 Aug 2022 16:30:40
Apologies for typos in my post above.espc where there are a couple significant eg .stepped OFF the gas

Wernt trincao and jose loans and hoever was part of the jota deal.the big mistake was not investing after the 1st ssn in prem and continuing with a small squad which nuno liked working with.wenever in prem history did a team keep the same side for11 straight games.fast fwd to lage and not ridding him after that 1st ssn leads us to wer we are.some would argue wer where we should be or deserve to be but with wiser investment we could be a side that is challenging for top6/8 and finish ther and not end up in 13/14 place

Cant see hwang going or neto2be honest.guedes and podence and silva should bring in more cash.obviously we need a cb and possibly another keeper if bentley goes.theres plenty of bargains out ther instead of the inexperienced and inadequate bench we have presently.but wel be in a big mess if we don't extend at leastva few of thos coming to the end of their contracts nxt ssn
