I think like a lot of you that GoN has to go. So who to replace him with Moyes or Potter seem to be top of the list however many saying no decent manager will come because of Fosun .
I don't understand that logic. If as widely stated Fosun want to sell the keeping us in the EPl is a priority.
Get a decent manager and recruit a couple of CB in January. Decide on the formation and style and we have enough in the squad to stay up.
We need a change and we need it now.

I think Shi needs to go too tbh mate.

2.) 05 Dec 2024 13:53:50
get Mourihno in. He said he would be better off managing a team struggling in the premier league

08 Oct 2024 13:27:08
Rumour has it that GoN is to be given Oct and Nov to turn things around.

NandoFC22

1.) 09 Oct 2024 06:55:34
We can change the Captain, but the Ship will still be full of leaks.

2.) 10 Oct 2024 17:35:19
Jimmy Thelin.

Fosun are preparing for relegation.

No ambition. No idea.

Hopefully someone who cares will buy the club.

3.) 11 Oct 2024 12:20:01
That's potentially about another 6 games Nando. I would have thought if things haven't changed after the next 3 then it'll be game over for GON, which will be a shame, imo.

4.) 11 Oct 2024 12:55:11
you are so right

5.) 11 Oct 2024 14:06:02
I don't think we can go more than 10 games, if we get to 19 games with the current rate of points gained we're going to need near 2 points a game to be safe.

6.) 11 Oct 2024 16:47:19
Since the Coventry defeat last season, we have played 17 PL matches and gained 6 points from the 51 available. In those 17 matches we have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 13 matches.

7.) 11 Oct 2024 16:53:13
In effect, GON has 1 game to save his job. We will lose to Man City and Brighton. That makes the Palace game monumental. They did the double over us last season and they were comfortable doing it too.

I think we've down. I said a few weeks ago that we'll get the lowest points total in Premier League history and nothing coming out of the club since the last defeat has changed my opinion.

Sam Johnstone or Jose Sa in goal doesn't matter because if you continually allow the opposition 10 goal scoring opportunities a game, then they'll more often than not score at least 3 goals. That's what we did against Chelsea and Brentford.

Looks like a new goalie on his way in, Sa to Saudi
Wouldn't be surprised if a couple more, hopefully a CB

Hi Folks
Looks like a loan with a obligation to buy has now been proposed for Ramsdale. Fee in the region of 25 million.
We are now scouting a winger called kone who plays in Italy think it may be Florentino.

NandoFC22

1.) 22 Aug 2024 05:45:23
why in the first place not accept obligation to buy jeff shi pissing about again

2.) 22 Aug 2024 08:10:14
If such a deal came to fruition there would be at least two problems coming down the track:

1. Ramsdale’s future salary expectations and its impact on the salary budget and subsequent group salary expectations;

2. Not sure spending £25m next year on this goal keeper will leave much room for further acquisitions (if this transfer window to date is any measure) in the 2025 Summer Window.

With the sourcing of young players with bright futures can’t we go down this route and retain the current ‘keeping staff’ until a new young goalkeeper is ready?

3.) 22 Aug 2024 13:25:40
Because the one we have got is a problem. He doesn’t deal with any crosses, cannot judge diagonal balls into the box and cannot play football with his feet.

4.) 22 Aug 2024 17:00:04
In which case Tommo why replace him with a keeper who ALSO struggles to play football with his feet?! I feel like a LOT of the people that talk up Ramsdale haven't actually watched him play much?! Why do you think Arsenal spent a fortune on a keeper with some of the best distribution in the Prem (Raya)? It wasn't a coincidence that is who they picked to replace Ramsdale!

21 Aug 2024 16:23:44
Hi folks
Looks like we are still busy looking to get players in. From the info on the net it would appear we are after a goalkeeper a central defender and a forward. With Chelsea telling up to 15 players that they would struggle to get minutes would we or should we consider a loan move for Chilwell or Stirling.
I would have to say I have no problem with Ramsdale or that defender from Burnley.
Just my thoughts.

NandoFC22

1.) 21 Aug 2024 17:41:49
As I said before between Sterling and Chilwell combined they will be on about as much as our entire wage budget! Loans aren't free, there's tbe wages and usually an extortionate monthly fee to boot! If we are shopping in Burnley then I expect Chelsea prices aren't likely to be realistic sadly!

2.) 21 Aug 2024 17:46:00
out of £20 mill lol

3.) 21 Aug 2024 17:47:35
Chalaboha and was thinking Broja but he's off to Ipswich

4.) 21 Aug 2024 18:55:21
Losing out on broja to IPSWICH sez itall.and supposedly looking at o shea from burnley.is a joke.

5.) 21 Aug 2024 20:06:26
Oh boo hoo hoo we missed out on the magnificent Broja. Just saying.

6.) 21 Aug 2024 20:53:52
In fairness Broja would have been better than nothing?! Equally I believe Ipswich have agreed to buy him for £30m if they stay up, not sure he's worth anything like that much with his injury record ?

7.) 21 Aug 2024 21:37:27
Box, who are they supposed to sign so?
Borja has proven nothing at Prem
Level, O’Shea while i'm not a fan, has done well in the Premier league, if the price is right he be worth looking at.

Ipswich are gambling on staying up, they will
Come unstuck if they don’t.
Players will come in, we need to have some patience and let the club do their work, all the doom around. Is ridiculous

8.) 21 Aug 2024 21:42:03
Who says we missed out on Broja, Bux? Injury prone and all of 2 goals in the last two seasons.

9.) 21 Aug 2024 21:59:45
Not many fans wanted either Broja or Che Adams at the club but now that both have moved to different teams, these same fans are questioning why we didn't sign them?

10.) 22 Aug 2024 09:28:28
Do we really want to commit £25 for Ramsdale?
Seems an awful for US to spend, plus big wages, even if next year after a loan, on a goalkeeper, even if he was than good, and he isn't.

That game against Ipswich is going to be crucial

18 Jan 2025 22:09:32
Have said this previously the priority is to avoid relegation and if that is by one point or even goal difference then that's a job done.
Vitor can then have the summer to get in players and to offload a few. With a decent preseason we will see how good he is .
I have a bet that we won't be relegated.
CB and a striker would be a positive in this window

16 Jan 2025 11:55:37
Another poor result however certain aspects ethe teams performance are positive.
One thing that has to be a priority for the club is to avoid relegation.
I still believe that another CB is required and will say it again RAN can't defend.
The midfielder pairing is a positive however they got dragged out of shape and allowed them to play though us.
If it five at the back then my preference is for three in the middle and two up top.
As is the best GK we have so that debate should be parked until the summer.
I am positive that we can get out of this but only is the manager is supported with players this window. A CB a left back and a striker are a minimum.

1.) 16 Jan 2025 12:32:26
We need players in various positions. When was the last time a player was integrated from the u21s to the first team? Why is it we purchase young players with prospects, but we never see them again?

2.) 16 Jan 2025 15:32:16
Hugo Bueno goggs, but he's loaned out to champions league Feyenoord.

3.) 16 Jan 2025 15:34:20
Matt Doherty, Toti Gomes, Rodrigo Gomes, Pedro Neto all spring to mind.

4.) 16 Jan 2025 20:38:31
H bueno being loaned out is the most ridiculous decision they've ever made.stupid just stupid

12 Jan 2025 14:57:20
Well that's another win. Bit disappointed with parts in the second half. Andre and Gomez is a key partnership . The new Lad was solid and looked very calm . Guedes is some player and would be an asset going forward.
Chan was pretty rubbish missed a couple of sitters.
Though Johnson was in wrong position for the Bristol goal .
Keep the faith lads.

1.) 12 Jan 2025 17:14:02
Even when we were 'rampant' in the first half hour HHC was anonymous, must sell!

2.) 12 Jan 2025 18:26:19
Yea Preston he dosnt seem to play a team role and agree nando Johnstone dives are woeful. Agabadu didn't seem to jump at the free kick but Johnstone was no where near it.
Hwang of course pointlessly gave the foul for the kick.
I think VP as seen what he wanted to some degree, let's see the line up and performance Wednesday, it'll be an interesting test.

3.) 12 Jan 2025 20:19:16
At least Johnstone can catch a cross. Sa couldn't catch a cold ?. Seriously though neither are great, I'd give Sa 5 out of 10, johnstone 6 out of 10. Bentley 3 out of 10 (just for the record)

4.) 13 Jan 2025 06:39:48
And king eastmids? Just for fun.

5.) 13 Jan 2025 07:02:54
I'd have to see him actually play to be able to make any judgement Abbeywolf

6.) 13 Jan 2025 08:35:28
He's made a couple of enforced and preseason appearances eastmids and he's played for U21s on odd occasion, don't forget he's a wales International.
I'm only ragging because 5 out of 10 for Sa, but 6/10 for Johnstone seemed abit unfair to me. I'd take Sa over Johnstone anyday but we all see things differently.

7.) 13 Jan 2025 10:35:47
Agree re Agbadou Abbey.
As I'd heard and said on here earlier, there was some analysis of him previously that said one of his shortcomings is headers.
For that Bristol free kick he was tallest man in our wall, ball went over where he wasn't he barely got off the ground.
Early days of course and let's hope his other qualities shine and he's a quick learner to be what the Prem requires. ???

8.) 13 Jan 2025 10:49:58
It's funny rollo, you sometimes get big imposing guys who are reluctant to jump to head. Could be they're accustomed to being bigger from early age and never needed to or they've suffered a head injury in the past, whatever he'll need some training on that aspect of his game for the prem.

9.) 13 Jan 2025 12:23:23
Sorry Abbey, I really think Sa is a total liability, poor positioning, awful descision making, poor distribution, flaps at crosses. His only saving grace is he's OK at shot stopping (which is why he manages to get 5, but that's surely a basic requirement of a goalie). From what I've seen he's been pretty much culpable in at least half the goals he's conceded this season. I whinse every time I see his name on the team sheet ?

10.) 13 Jan 2025 13:57:36
It's not reluctance to jump, Abbey, it's all about jumping ability, 'spring' and timing. Ronaldo has all three in abundance which, along with being 6ft 1 or so was why he was so good in the air during his prime.

11.) 13 Jan 2025 15:06:43
As I said we all see things differently eastmids, not saying I'm right, I just prefer Sa he gives me confidence that Johnstone dosnt, but yes Sa does give us some heart fluttering moments, but I reckon the defenders have put him in some positions he wouldn't have chosen.
Agree old wulf, it's a basic, I was just pondering on why he might be lacking in that area. He's got to put some work in on it tho.

12.) 13 Jan 2025 15:08:46
Whatever it may be OW and Abbey, let's hope he works on it and improves. Vital for what we need, and for which in recent times and until recently we had such good heading ability and clearances from Max and Dawson

07 Jan 2025 12:46:13
So last night proved that the depth in the squad is not there.
One CB on his way but I would suggest that at least another is required.
We also need a decent squad player to back up Cunha and at the risk of upsetting a few and quality left back.
Ran is a defensive liability.
If possible I would like to see another striker just to help Strand Larsen out.
I make that five, what are the chances?

NandoFC22

1.) 07 Jan 2025 14:03:00
NFC22 Pereria only wants 2 or 3 I would say at least three 2 CH and a striker plus midfielder if Lemina goes.

2.) 07 Jan 2025 14:12:45
I think Vitor missed a trick last night tbh could've played RAN in Cunhas role.

3.) 07 Jan 2025 15:16:15
VP tried Hwang in the Cunha role. It didn't work. At least he knows for next time. I would have played Sarabia there last night. He may not be as mobile as Cunha but he can unlock defences and complete passes and would have been more if a threat than Hwang.

4.) 07 Jan 2025 17:06:19
My choice for the Cunha role would have been Doyle.
