Rumour mill working overtime today regarding Arias and Pubill .

NandoFC22

1.) 10 Jul 2025 20:09:30
Add Wallace Yan to the rumour list.

2.) 12 Jul 2025 08:41:40
please please NO, not big enough for PL

I think like a lot of you that GoN has to go. So who to replace him with Moyes or Potter seem to be top of the list however many saying no decent manager will come because of Fosun .
I don't understand that logic. If as widely stated Fosun want to sell the keeping us in the EPl is a priority.
Get a decent manager and recruit a couple of CB in January. Decide on the formation and style and we have enough in the squad to stay up.
We need a change and we need it now.

I think Shi needs to go too tbh mate.

2.) 05 Dec 2024 13:53:50
get Mourihno in. He said he would be better off managing a team struggling in the premier league

08 Oct 2024 13:27:08
Rumour has it that GoN is to be given Oct and Nov to turn things around.

NandoFC22

1.) 09 Oct 2024 06:55:34
We can change the Captain, but the Ship will still be full of leaks.

2.) 10 Oct 2024 17:35:19
Jimmy Thelin.

Fosun are preparing for relegation.

No ambition. No idea.

Hopefully someone who cares will buy the club.

3.) 11 Oct 2024 12:20:01
That's potentially about another 6 games Nando. I would have thought if things haven't changed after the next 3 then it'll be game over for GON, which will be a shame, imo.

4.) 11 Oct 2024 12:55:11
you are so right

5.) 11 Oct 2024 14:06:02
I don't think we can go more than 10 games, if we get to 19 games with the current rate of points gained we're going to need near 2 points a game to be safe.

6.) 11 Oct 2024 16:47:19
Since the Coventry defeat last season, we have played 17 PL matches and gained 6 points from the 51 available. In those 17 matches we have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 13 matches.

7.) 11 Oct 2024 16:53:13
In effect, GON has 1 game to save his job. We will lose to Man City and Brighton. That makes the Palace game monumental. They did the double over us last season and they were comfortable doing it too.

I think we've down. I said a few weeks ago that we'll get the lowest points total in Premier League history and nothing coming out of the club since the last defeat has changed my opinion.

Sam Johnstone or Jose Sa in goal doesn't matter because if you continually allow the opposition 10 goal scoring opportunities a game, then they'll more often than not score at least 3 goals. That's what we did against Chelsea and Brentford.

Looks like a new goalie on his way in, Sa to Saudi
Wouldn't be surprised if a couple more, hopefully a CB

Hi Folks
Looks like a loan with a obligation to buy has now been proposed for Ramsdale. Fee in the region of 25 million.
We are now scouting a winger called kone who plays in Italy think it may be Florentino.

NandoFC22

1.) 22 Aug 2024 05:45:23
why in the first place not accept obligation to buy jeff shi pissing about again

2.) 22 Aug 2024 08:10:14
If such a deal came to fruition there would be at least two problems coming down the track:

1. Ramsdale’s future salary expectations and its impact on the salary budget and subsequent group salary expectations;

2. Not sure spending £25m next year on this goal keeper will leave much room for further acquisitions (if this transfer window to date is any measure) in the 2025 Summer Window.

With the sourcing of young players with bright futures can’t we go down this route and retain the current ‘keeping staff’ until a new young goalkeeper is ready?

3.) 22 Aug 2024 13:25:40
Because the one we have got is a problem. He doesn’t deal with any crosses, cannot judge diagonal balls into the box and cannot play football with his feet.

4.) 22 Aug 2024 17:00:04
In which case Tommo why replace him with a keeper who ALSO struggles to play football with his feet?! I feel like a LOT of the people that talk up Ramsdale haven't actually watched him play much?! Why do you think Arsenal spent a fortune on a keeper with some of the best distribution in the Prem (Raya)? It wasn't a coincidence that is who they picked to replace Ramsdale!

Been sat most of today just trying to make sense of the tragic loss of Diogo and his brother.
To me as a wolves fan I will be eternally grateful for the joy he gave to us.
Words at this time seem so short and inadequate to express the pain his family and friends are suffering.
My condolences to them all.
To Diogo thanks for the glorious memories.

1.) 03 Jul 2025 16:46:09
I remember that leicter match where he had a hat trick in the 4-3 win

2.) 03 Jul 2025 16:49:07
Diogo, you will forever be missed. You were integral to our promotion push and our European adventure.

That starting 11 of Rui, Doc, Coady, Saiss, Boly, Jonny, Moutinho, Neves, Adama, Raul and Jota will forever be etched in Molineux folklore.

You were missed on a professional level by all Wolves fans but you are now missed on every level by All football fans.

I hope you are at peace. RIP Legend.

3.) 03 Jul 2025 17:35:48
Up there with the best at wolves. Glad I saw you in a wolves shirt diogo and you'll always be a member of the pack. R.I.P diogo.

Couple of issues which are adding to the frustration of this transfer window. One is the U22 tournament and secondly the club World Cup.

Hi everyone hope you are enjoying this weather and the huge amount of bollox in reference to us and potential signings . Personally I'm quite relaxed and trusting VP to build what he wants. On another subject I'm of the opinion Fosun should/must improve the stadium capacity by at least 10k . Would hope this can be done by filling in the corners and development of the south bank .

NandoFC22

1.) 21 Jun 2025 21:57:21
Hi Nando, as I said in a previous post how far will Fosun's wake up call extend, improving the squad or will they go further and invest in income generating initiatives as you suggest.

Let's hope it's the latter as well as we can't keep selling off our best players to survive.

2.) 22 Jun 2025 09:58:19
Hi Nando/LMW,
From what I can gather talking too a 'blue nose' they are building a new 60K all seater stadium, 'AND THE COUNCIL' are working with them on the new roads and transport system (s) in and out of this new stadium. Firstly how can Birmingham council do this. I thought they were 'bust'? and Secondly if this is the case why aren't Fosun and Wolverhampton council having joint talks to see what can and can't be done.

3.) 22 Jun 2025 10:20:18
Morning all, I would love to see developments at the Mol, I normally go to the Steve Bull stand, this could do with some modernisation and expansion. Stadium could do with an increase in capacity, as you mentioned Nando 10k about right. Extra tier on one of the stands and corners filled in may get close. Be nice to think that they will invest in squad this summer, achieve a top 10 finish and then invest in stadium. Wow, must of got out of bed on right side this morning.

4.) 22 Jun 2025 10:38:00
My biggest frustration with the club at he moment is the lack of communication about increasing the ground capacity / growing revenues, as that is the only way to be sustainable in the Premier League and not fall foul of PSR.

Birmingham Council can do what they're doing simply because they won't be paying for it. BCFC's owners will be paying for everything, all the council will be doing is pushing through the paperwork and benefitting from any future tax growth from the new developments.

In one way it pains me to say it, but the way football has gone over the past 30 years, the only way Wolves could have longevity in the top half of the Premier League - or even possibly remain in the league for years to come, is to sell the soul of the club and leave Molineux for a new ground built outside the "city" with a blank canvas.

The days of family run community clubs in the top flight I fear are over and being replaced by corporate giants who only care about selling merchandise and overseas fan bases.

5.) 22 Jun 2025 12:44:10
Football has gone to 'Hell in a handcart' AcleWolf, and as you say to stay and compete in this league we need to follow suit (& v quickly) or we'll get left behind. The money you need to spend on player transfers, wages, etc is obscene really but if that is what success demands then we need to either get off, or get onboard. I'm not one to bash Fosun and Shi, but I do think that they should've bought in other revenue streams by now other than relying on media money. Constantly saying they are looking for new investors is starting to wear a little thin. As an example why doesn't Molineux become a venue for more concerts?
Villa park does!

6.) 22 Jun 2025 13:05:57
Basically Wagner at Blues has a background in sport ownership and would know the type of buttons to push with politicians and city officials to sell the benefits of a US sport franchise. He's presumably trying this out in the UK with appropriate modifications. Even after there 7 or so seasons at Wolves Fosun are still doing things the Fosun way.

7.) 22 Jun 2025 14:31:37
Blacksford - spot on.

8.) 22 Jun 2025 16:23:07
Blackfords has a point, why do we not hold concerts, etc at the Mol? Thing is as well, how are things ever going to change, last few seasons have been the same, sell best/established players, buy in young prospects and repeat. If we are still struggling for money doing this then something has to change. Build a team and consolidate at least mid table, then invest in stadium modernisation and expansion. It does require commitment from everyone involved but at the moment we are stuck.

9.) 22 Jun 2025 19:05:49
I think maybe Fosun got fed up dealing with council or there was a roadblock which could not be resolved.
Just hypotheticalizing.

10.) 22 Jun 2025 19:43:41
I fear there's a more under the surface problem with Chinese investment given the geopolitical problems in the world. Maybe Fosuns hands are tied somewhat, if that we're the case our club maybe in for a very bleak future unless an enthusiastic new consortium can be found. LA Wolves with a Hollywood link? Bales fronting the Plymouth bid, maybe we're more expensive but we're already in the right place to be a sound choice for anyone looking.
Or will fosun stun us all with their restructuring, actually use some cash to ensure the football we deserve and bring in the money generated from the same?

07 Jun 2025 12:16:55
As the transfer window opens we at Wolves are consumed with desperation and gloom. Nothing new, as a life long Wolves supporter I have to say that it is something in built in us and any attempt to get behind the club is dismissed as " A happy clapper"
We are in the Premier League and have been for a while and that's after twenty years of relegation and disappointment resulting in us languishing in the old forth devision. However as our motto say Out of darkness cometh light. In came Bully and Thomson, and we steadily rose up with Ince, Rae, Mitch and Keane eventually Dave brought us to the promised land even though it was a brief visit. Somehow we found our saviour in Nuno who brought us Neves Jota and Raul and took us on a European tour. So now we start again with Vitor and I will support him and the team as I have for the last 60 years and yes I'll be critical when it's warranted but always supportive.

NandoFC22

1.) 07 Jun 2025 12:49:02
Well said Nando. ?? As far as I can tell (and I don’t want to put words in your mouth), “start again with Vitor” is the key here. If Vitor is given more power over transfers etc and he wants to get rid of the whole team; that’s his decision and I will support him until his players/team warrants criticism.

2.) 07 Jun 2025 13:31:50
It would be disparaging to label any positive supporter of the club as a 'happy clapper' in the light of where we are now. We've been in the PL for seven consecutive seasons, our best era in modern history for god's sake. How many current member clubs in the PL can say that? Look at the great players we signed starting with Fosun's ownership, a marked upgrade on what Steve Morgan ever achieved. We have all of this to build on for next season and there are signs that Fosun have learnt from their mistakes.

3.) 08 Jun 2025 07:51:55
Totally agree with your sentiments Nando I think we are all hoping at least that we are entering a new era where the club will be allowed, to become competitive again. What I mean by that is that Fosun have now allegedly accepted the dangers of trying to leave the club relatively unsupported financially, certainly at the beginning of the season.

I have posted before that this policy seemed to mesh with their post Covid 3 year plan to restructure the group to strengthen the share value and financial standing to bring down the cost of borrowing. I also suspect that Matt Hobbs has carried the can somewhat within the club as the Head of football matters as Jeff was side lined from involvement when Lopetegui was employed.

Like you I've been a Wolves fan for many years, since the '50's as a child and have seen it all over that time and I agree that Fosun are the most financially capable owners we've had and have reincarnated us, no doubt. Maybe the attitudes of the last 2-3 years were a 'needs must' for the aforementioned reasons and, hopefully, we now appreciate that what some of us on here have been predicting for several years wasn't ungrateful fans moaning but genuine concern for the Club's future and their investment.

Anyway, that was (hopefully) then and this is now but even so, we all know players will be sold in the future, sometimes for football reasons and on occasion to keep us on the right side of PSR. Again hopefully, no more selling players just to keep the doors open. I know Cunha, RAN and Semedo have gone but I think all 3 wanted the moves more than Wolves wanted rid. Semedo at 33 wanted a last go at European competition, RAN has put in 5 years which is pretty loyal these days and Cunha, well make your own mind up on that one.

VP has been a revelation no doubt and has 'Nuno like' qualities and certainly deserves his promotion from Head Coach to Manager with a better co-ordinated managerial group around him led by Matt Jackson and I for one feel more confident going forward. Plus of course the re engagement with Gestifute more is actually good news, imo, they've brought us some pretty special players in the past and hopefully will again. If lessons have been learnt and a better quality of football management has been assembled can we all sleep a little easier? I know I will.

01 Jun 2025 18:02:38
So the silly season is underway and Cunha after what seemed like an age has left. VP is reportedly after a striker, two No 10s a central midfielder and as many as two full backs.
Reports suggest Cunha sale provide us with 62.5 million an we should get about 20 for Fabio. Other departures could provide us with 15 millions and that about 97 million. Should be enough for three of VPs wishes so Fosun going to have to chip in about another 30 million. ?

NandoFC22

1.) 01 Jun 2025 18:31:12
I hope if Ryan leaves, we get more than that.

2.) 01 Jun 2025 22:19:38
We are only getting 21 Million for Cuhna this June, followed by 21 Million June 2026 and the balance in June 2027.
Are Fosun going to spend the whole 21 Million this window?
If all other transfers out are paid in installments then the funds available to VP will be somewhat lower than we need.
My gut feeling is that VP will walk before the start of next season

3.) 02 Jun 2025 06:06:07
We pay for transfers in installments and we sell players to be paid for on installments. Very rarely does a team pay the full transfer fee up front.

4.) 02 Jun 2025 08:56:54
Putting actual cash flow to one side, instalments make no difference to transfers and how they are accounted for. The whole value of the sale or purchase goes on the books to begin the write down process at the time of transfer, so it has no bearing on what they spend.

5.) 02 Jun 2025 13:06:43
I think I'm right in saying the usual arrangement now is for the selling club to get the 1st instalment from the buying club and the balance of the transfer is borrowed from a bank. The interest for the loan is normally furnished by the buying club. This way the sellers get their full fee and purchasers are able to spread the cost.
