Wolves have apparently draw up a shortlist ( about time) and the leading contenders are Rob Edward’s and EtH .
Wolves are expected to make and approach for Edward’s today.

NandoFC22

1.) 06 Nov 2025 18:38:35
Middlesbrough refused wolves request to speak to Dave Edwards and say he is not going anywhere

2.) 06 Nov 2025 18:39:43
Sorry ment Rob Edwards

3.) 06 Nov 2025 18:53:29
Middlesboro refused permission to speak to him

4.) 06 Nov 2025 19:12:13
Approach has been rejected so where does that leave us?

04 Nov 2025 17:03:41
So GoN has distanced himself from the job ( in other words he was not offered it)
Couple of mentions for Robbie Keane and to be honest I think he fits the profile, young with some experience and plays attractive football.

We could do a lot worse. Keep in mind we are currently odds on to go down so this type of manager is what we need to build a future with.
Not sure about big Sam and would be surprised if Seth takes it .

Interesting post. I do think there's two ways of looking at this. The managers connected with Wolves aren't good enough GON, Edwards, Keane and even Big Sam (as a fan).

So its the managers with experience Rodgers, Ten Hag, Ange all with interesting track records but some that have been a disaster recently.

I think two combinations that could work:
1) Ole and Carrick
2) Ten Haag but with Van Der Sar as director of football like Ajax.

But I probably would go the Portuguese manager route with some assistance from Mendes.
Sérgio Conceição
Carlos Vicens has experience of the Prem at Man City
Bruno Lage with a back 5 was okay its only when he played a back 4 we looked poor.

Reasons for this are complex but I think we need a manager that can come in revert to a back 5 and pick up points quick.
The managers that have an allegiance to Wolves can't do that.
The managers that are names are prone to going attacking back 4 have to prove they know best.

Two wins and we are back in this. Keep the faith.

I do think there's money to spend in January so it will be interesting the direction the club choose.
ODCL

2.) 04 Nov 2025 20:49:22
Haag has rejected us.

3.) 04 Nov 2025 23:23:33
Solid thinking madman. WWFC is currently no place for an inexperienced candidate, and anyone with a reputation would surely be wary of taking the job. It's a difficult position to fill but I know that's stating the obvious.

4.) 05 Nov 2025 09:39:53
Cheers Arddunby from the options it would be Ole and Carrick if that's a possibility.
Or they go all out for Sergio Sérgio Conceição

10 Jul 2025 17:09:30
Rumour mill working overtime today regarding Arias and Pubill .

NandoFC22

1.) 10 Jul 2025 20:09:30
Add Wallace Yan to the rumour list.

2.) 12 Jul 2025 08:41:40
please please NO, not big enough for PL

05 Dec 2024 12:30:52
I think like a lot of you that GoN has to go. So who to replace him with Moyes or Potter seem to be top of the list however many saying no decent manager will come because of Fosun .
I don't understand that logic. If as widely stated Fosun want to sell the keeping us in the EPl is a priority.
Get a decent manager and recruit a couple of CB in January. Decide on the formation and style and we have enough in the squad to stay up.
We need a change and we need it now.

NandoFC22

1.) 05 Dec 2024 12:58:48
I think Shi needs to go too tbh mate.

2.) 05 Dec 2024 13:53:50
get Mourihno in. He said he would be better off managing a team struggling in the premier league

08 Oct 2024 13:27:08
Rumour has it that GoN is to be given Oct and Nov to turn things around.

NandoFC22

1.) 09 Oct 2024 06:55:34
We can change the Captain, but the Ship will still be full of leaks.

2.) 10 Oct 2024 17:35:19
Jimmy Thelin.

Fosun are preparing for relegation.

No ambition. No idea.

Hopefully someone who cares will buy the club.

3.) 11 Oct 2024 12:20:01
That's potentially about another 6 games Nando. I would have thought if things haven't changed after the next 3 then it'll be game over for GON, which will be a shame, imo.

4.) 11 Oct 2024 12:55:11
you are so right

5.) 11 Oct 2024 14:06:02
I don't think we can go more than 10 games, if we get to 19 games with the current rate of points gained we're going to need near 2 points a game to be safe.

6.) 11 Oct 2024 16:47:19
Since the Coventry defeat last season, we have played 17 PL matches and gained 6 points from the 51 available. In those 17 matches we have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 13 matches.

7.) 11 Oct 2024 16:53:13
In effect, GON has 1 game to save his job. We will lose to Man City and Brighton. That makes the Palace game monumental. They did the double over us last season and they were comfortable doing it too.

I think we've down. I said a few weeks ago that we'll get the lowest points total in Premier League history and nothing coming out of the club since the last defeat has changed my opinion.

Sam Johnstone or Jose Sa in goal doesn't matter because if you continually allow the opposition 10 goal scoring opportunities a game, then they'll more often than not score at least 3 goals. That's what we did against Chelsea and Brentford.

Planning for life in the championship is underway.
If I could suggest something that I would like to see it’s a complete overhaul of the squad.
Firstly if they are not good enough then get rid of them simple as . On that list I would put Toti Hwang Bellergard Munetsi and Arias.

If they are of value cash in now with the likes of Gomes and JSL.
Keep and build a team around Andre and Krejci also keep Agbadou and Santi .
Get in a goal scoring striker and an attacking midfield player.

NandoFC22

1.) 06 Dec 2025 16:05:12
Andre and Krejic won't stay when we go down.

2.) 06 Dec 2025 16:54:16
I watched derby v Leicester on tv wolves don’t look no better than both an derby weren’t great but both teams played with a bit of passion and had a go wolves should take note because that’s what we will be up against next season ?

3.) 06 Dec 2025 18:01:41
I'm watching Sutton v Shrewsbury and have to be honest we would struggle against either. Both teams want to win, our lot don't know what a win is like. Sad days for our once proud club.

04 Dec 2025 13:39:36
I have previously posted here that fault lay with managers and owners however last nights performance was poor because of the players and no one else. You could see the frustration on REs face.
Mistakes and missed opportunities throughout the game.
I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record but it’s starting to get to me now.

I’d offload most of them in preparation for a life in the championship as they are gutless and have no professional pride
I’d keep Andre Gomes and Krejci if possible but the rest can all go.

NandoFC22

1.) 04 Dec 2025 15:02:40
Question is, who would buy any of the players. Maybe other championship clubs but none of the bigger clubs or PL clubs.

2.) 04 Dec 2025 15:24:08
But who bought the players, Nando? The majority of the squad are light years away from being anywhere near good enough. We're a mid table Championship team playing in the top division; hence the 2 points.

At least Edwards should be able to get them to stop the safety first passing back when they're in a reasonably promising position. If he can't then there's less than the no hope we've currently got.

3.) 04 Dec 2025 15:40:01
I understand your POV Nando, but sadly I suspect that Andre, Gomes and Krejci are the ONLY ones that we'll actually be able to sell! Add to this I can't help but feel that Krejci sudden 'injury' is because they've basically done the maths and realised that we will need him once Agbadou goes to the AFCON and therefore they don't want to build his number of games up before that as it could trigger an auto purchase which we can likely no longer afford! I entirely expect us to make some sort of arrangement (at a cost) with Girona come Jan 1st to get out of the deal because we are clearly Champ bound.
It's genuinely incredible how poorly we have been run to get us to this point. Even more incredible that right up until the start of the season you had fans on here and social media trying to convince us that this team would be an improvement on last seasons! When I asked them why they felt that they always just said they had a feeling?! Well I notice that those 'feelings' seem to have been quickly swept away by reality!
Whilst I agree that it's not REs fault, because at this stage he's the ONLY man crazy enough to work with Fosun. The problem is that he was NEVER going to be the right hire for a team anchored to the bottom of the table. Look at the impact Dyche has had at Forest, that's excalty what we needed. A proven Prem manager with a proven track record of improving results. Rodgers would have fitted the bill quite nicely. And whilst people will say that RE wasn't a cheap hire (because of the compo) sadly in reality he still was. Because he would have wanted half the wages that Rodgers wanted and more than that he wouldn't have needed any assurances regarding transfers which I am fairly certain Rodgers would have! So yeah we have paid compo for RE but if we know we've bought a yes man that'll happily sell the squad off in prep for the Champ then in REAL terms sadly he is still the cheaper option! You'll struggle to find anyone (outside of Boro) that doesn't like the guy because he comes across as a very decent person.

However, it doesn't change the fact that before us he had a sum total of 38 games Prem experience for a team that had absolutely NO expectation of survival. One day he will be a great manager but right now (like the entirety of our transfer policy) Fosun simply will not pay the required premium for the level of Prem experience required to survive at this level!
I find it all VERY depressing, my only wish is that us fans at the ground would start getting a bit more organised. We need to be seeing wall to wall banners of Fosun out at every single home match! I'm not going to sit here and pretend that it'll make them sell over night however there ONLY reason for keeping us is as a marketing vehicle so let's make that not work for them by dragging their name through the mud at every given opportunity.
Like others I post less and less these days cause football just puts me in a bad mood thanks to this absolute circus! On which note I'm aware I missed Long leaving on a similar break and just wanted to say that if your still reading Long buddy make sure you find your way back mate. Your posts aways lighetend these pages and your poems were awesome! Take care everyone and let's hope Santa brings us some MUCH needed points! ?

I guess the site will be flooded with doom and gloom after yet another loss.
I would say we should accept the inevitable relegation and focus one the formation and performance.
That said thought we looked much better today and with a little luck might have got something out of the game.
The back three performances was much better and Despite many critics I thought Arias was much better.
The two areas I would point out for improvement are, we under used Jackson, he clearly had the left back on toast yet we didn’t get the ball to him often enough.

The second is the two in midfield, like everyone I won’t criticise them as they are very good and clearly committed players however they are both the same and neither has the ability to influence the game going forward.
RE has a tough choice but I’d only play one of them as the defensive midfielder and a more crack minder player along side them.

NandoFC22

1.) 30 Nov 2025 19:20:15
Got to disagree re Arias, I thought he was very poor again, I only noticed him when he was offside for the disallowed goal, not exactly the talent we were expecting and he seemed slow in his choices when with the ball. We need someone more commanding and leading by example, but who? He's what we've got.
Agree on midfield tho, I thought both Andre and Gomez did well today, but yes they're not carrying us forward or getting balls up the wings. Bellegarde isn't the answer.

Larsen was showing what he can do, if only we could provide the service.
Jackson proved he can do it, but again no one provided the balls for him.
We're going down and RE will evaluate and in January it'll be changes all round I'd imagine, if RE has his players earmarked and Fosun allow sales money reinvested we can prepare for next season and make a fist of it in the final games.
Resigned to relegation now, sad days but taking heart in the belief of Edwards for next year.

2.) 30 Nov 2025 19:45:14
I think the doom and gloom comes from owners who are and have been extracting the urine out of every wolves fan for the last 4 years. It did look better today although I don't think Vile were at there best.

Don't think Strand Larsen is any where near what he was last season. Think he would struggle to get into any premier league side at the moment. Oh well, on to the Forrest game

3.) 30 Nov 2025 21:54:12
I don’t see why it would be anything other than doom or gloom? We haven’t won a game in 218 days!
2 points on the board going into December 2 points, but let’s talk about how great we were as we only lost 1 - 0
Fosun have cleverly appointed a person that they know the fans won’t boo, is it not lost on people how the fosun out chants and shi is a W⚓️ chants have dried up?
Let’s all happy clap along to the championship god forbid anyone pointing out the realities of what’s going on at the club, I can guarantee the people that come on here calling out us “ doom mongers” will be the same people on here next season moaning about the state of the club in the championship

4.) 30 Nov 2025 23:50:48
Give arias a chance. Remember Cunha was awful first season

5.) 01 Dec 2025 03:37:24
He won’t be here next season to give him a chance kenzie in fact I will go out on a limb and say I don’t think he will be here by the end of the January transfer window ditto Lopez

6.) 01 Dec 2025 08:11:41
Possibly ditto. Larsen and gomez and Sa De Wolfe?

7.) 01 Dec 2025 08:59:16
Arias hasn't got what it takes in the PL. He's completely out of his depth. He's too lightweight and doesn't create anything. A complete waste of money. If we can sell him in January without losing too much then let him go and try and get an attacking midfielder if not for this league then someone who will be good enough in the championship.
Regarding Fosun I won't give them a penny of my money now out of principle.

I can get a ticket in the Graham Hughes stand on Wednesday against Forest for £18.50 being over 65. I can afford that and would go, but I'm at the point where I detest Fosun and Shi. I really don't understand why Rob Edwards would leave Boro to come and work for this shambles of a senior management team.

8.) 01 Dec 2025 10:38:26
I don't think Arias had a bad game. Yes he was caught offside but at least he was trying to press. The big chance we had just before the break was due to Arias' tenacity in winning the ball and playing it to Jackson who crossed and the shot was saved by Martinez.

23 Nov 2025 17:13:31
Assuming that we are going to need at least ten wins to have a chance of staying up I’m struggling to see how this is achievable.
The team has little to no creativity or quality.
The best we have is Krejci Gomes and Andre.

Ok go with the two big lads up top but they need someone with guile and quality to supply them.
Tori is a walking mistake, Hwang has no confidence and is just too scared to make a mistake.
Gonna have to bench Munetsi and push on Lopez .

NandoFC22

1.) 23 Nov 2025 17:50:49
Agree Nando, hope Rob learns quickly and identifies our lack of creativity. As Arias (our Cunha replacement) still looks lost we have to play, either Lopez or Mane. I asked earlier to see if anyone knows why Lopez is rarely seen?
Seems strange to me, Krejci or Joao I think should be captain, Toti always looks about to make a mistake, if we are playing 3 at the back I would prefer Toti not to be 1 of them.

Personally I would like to see both Lopez and Mane played more, start with Lopez and have Mane on the bench rather than Hwang.
Doesn’t seem to make much difference if we play 4 or 5 at the back, if we can’t create enough chance’s to score not going to win.
What an absolute mess Jeff and Co have created.

2.) 23 Nov 2025 17:57:19
Possibly a lack of physicality banksy, but I think Lopez is the only player in the team that can link play up and deserves a run in the XI.

3.) 23 Nov 2025 19:43:22
I think it will take more than 10 wins Nando as the points total for staying up this season is going to be 38/39 at least, so that leaves us needing at least 13 wins.

Fosun were banking on the 3 promoted sides being poor again and with the exception of Leeds ( who we lost against!) they aren’t Burnley are a bit meh
My 3 to go down are
Us- absolutely nailed on
Leeds- 90 percent certain
Burnley - about 70 percent
After Burnley I reckon it’s one of West Ham/fulham

4.) 24 Nov 2025 06:47:23
Yep time to face the facts Nando, we're going down. Ok saying we need 10 wins but we've got 10 points to make up to begin with so other teams need to lose 3 while we're winning, it ain't going to happen.
Look at our fixtures for the next 6 games, can yo honestly see any improvement to take points in any of them?
OK come January players will go, but any coming in won't be for a relegation dogfight, it'll be players for next season and maybe/hopefully a couple of experienced pros to steady the team.

I just hope we can find abit of entertainment in our coming games to maintain an interest.

5.) 24 Nov 2025 11:45:44
IF and it’s a massive IF we manage to secure a win at all in the near future, I will have some sympathy for the embarrassment caused to the club we beat as we are the worst team in the league for many many years!

6.) 24 Nov 2025 13:48:53
Sods law we beat Arsenal Scad, if that we're to happen then it brighten things temporarily, we could be heroes just for one day.

Dreaming again, time for me pills.

22 Nov 2025 16:56:53
I’ve played a bit of decent football and coach at a semi pro level so am I crazy to suggest Hwang is not a prem player.
Also what did Arias bring that was better than Tulo?
Are Andrea and Gomes just to similar?
Why would you take off our best player Krejci.
It appears Edward’s has been brought in for next years championship campaign.

NandoFC22

1.) 22 Nov 2025 17:25:16
All I can guess is Hwang is being rewarded for efforts in training. I've played in Asia, I imagine Hwang is just like a majority of Asian players I've played with, Does exactly what the manager asks of him week in week out during training, probably ticks boxes during matches when it comes to stats, could probably recite any instructions given to him and the entire squad but on match day lacks ability to compete when not in a controlled environment.

Brendan Rogers seems to be the one most talked about in the press and Ole Gunnet Solskar is next.
I have a sneaking feeling that uncle George may play a part.
It will almost certainly be someone who is available now as the club will not want to pay competitive after paying VP off.

Stability is the key to our survival. A defence that is organised and the team on that.
I don’t know who it will be but it needs to happen now and it needs to be right. The stream of failures since Nuno departed is a story in itself.

Got to say that a result against Burnley whist probable is not the turning point. The performance is everything.
We have not only lot all league games but the style of football is very boring and let’s face it very poor.
If VP can’t turn it around in the next couple of games then it tie to pull the plug.
Who next I hear you cry. Well personally I would go for Muscat or Marco Silva.

I’m not buying this Hwang must play because of Korean TV or any other dealfor that matter. Any manager or head coach worth his salt would not stand for it.
Kwang was not sold because we didn’t have a replacement.
