If it is O'Neil could it not be an option to bring back in Moutinio as a coach as he is apparently still living in the area. Would give the new manager a bit of a link between the players and may make it easier to start with.

Is our uncle Jorge in hiding or just on a long holiday as heard nothing from him or "his" players bring linked recently, we still need a minimum of 3 players being a striker, winger and midfielder. Personally if we could get Guedes (cover both winger/ striker) and Nunes then could definitely challenge the top 6.

Have watched the younger players who have been on the tour and I'm sure that several of them will be in or around the first team this coming season so don't expect many more incoming transfers.

“Uncle” Jorge is a mercenary, out for himself. He’ll use Wolves to put his players in the shop window with a view of selling them on (not an uncommon practice). This experiment failed miserably with Valencia and that is why I was always dubious about the connection with JM. Where the plot thickens is that Fosun own a percentage of JM’s agency Gestifute.

Difficult to critisize JM when you remember the players he has secured for us. His input stopped us languishing in the lower divisions.

Haha, I think your all missing the bigger issue here. Uncle Jorge has one player worth as much as the rest of his entire collection put together and that player currently wants a move! I suspect JM is frantically trying to find a way to get CR the move he wants, he is always going to be his priority I'm afraid! I'm fairness CR famously bought Jorge a Greek island for his birthday, can't see Fosun doing that any time soon! ??

To be fair Deb, not bothered about Valencia. Jota was the only big departure we've had and the truth is he was hit and miss the last season with us and needed the change. With Fosun owning 10%, I presumed we have more control. The truth is we have kept the majority of the players we wanted to, so not sure why people are having a dig at Mendes. The truth is he will only advise for us when asked. The unfortunate problem is Fosun are trying to bridge the gap for their bonds. They have the assets to cope but selling takes time. Finger crossed we will get players in before 1st Sept.

I think you may be in the minority with this one Debbie. Yes he's been well paid for it but I'd rather have his influence within the market on our side than not.
In fact I'd go as far as to say without his help we wouldn't be where we are today as Fosun was on a very steep learning curve.

I would say it's more to do with the Chinese government instructing China based businesses to invest more into China as their economy is struggling and do not want companies to invest overseas. There is no other reason as to why Fosun would all of a sudden want to make Wolves less valuable by getting relegated (FFP is there but it's being a smokescreen also, as people in the Football Financial circles have said that the Nevis sale covered that issue). Their idea is get the funds in know then sell on maybe for a reduced value knowing that nearly £100 million has been already banked.

It's the same old problem same with Guedes sign for big money and get their slice of it and big salary then say I don't want to be here. No good having players in the changing room who could be disruptive and a mood sucker. Only need players who want to be here like Dawson's Lemina etc, ok not the so called superstars but players who will give you full commitment.

New to the page so be gentle. Something is not right at the club, Silva being loaned out with no loan fee, did Jeff and Sellers not learn anything last year with the Traore fiasco. They both need to leave our club asap, sick and tired of being lied to by Jeff, who's actually spinning more lies than number 10. Why loan players out before the squad is put where Bruno requires, even more weak than last year for depth. Just need some clarity of what's going on as certainly not happy with season ticket increases and no player recruitment. I will NOT be buying any merchandise this year (normally get my lad the home and away shirts as a minimum, but not this year)

The VAR official's should be totally separate to the referees in a sense that existing refs don't do VAR. There is a tendency to protect their college as confirmed by Mike Dean. If they were a totally different entity then this would help. Also needs a complete independent body to oversee both parts and major errors are pointed out then those officials removed until further training undertaken.

in response to noddyboy I said the same when it happened that he waited until the 88th minute then got himself sent off as not to risk injury at the Everton game. I detested Gibbs -White but even he didn't go on strike, and don't want any player who dis respects the club and fans ever playing for us again total idiot. Again nothing like the conduct of Ruben who remained professional throughout. Nunes/Podence/Gudess all can do one and get uncle Jorge to sort them out with new clubs.

On another note in regards to transfers, if funds were allocated for this summer but were used in January, surely we are at the "Status Quo" situation as we've recouped over 90 million in fees (that will show straight away on the balance sheet for 2024/25 accounts). The fees paid will be split over 4 years on average so 70 Million by 4 is 17.5 mill. They have also saved I would say at least 12 million in salary with Raul, Moutino, and Costa off books. These also do not take in the prize money and TV revenue, so there is something clearly not right in what they are saying. Best case I think is that they are asset stripping to sell the club for as much as they can before the Chinese government make them sell it. Last point if the club is so far behind the 8 ball why are we and also why did Jeff give himself a £400, 000 pay rise.
