On Friday 6 th May SM, JM, Richard Skirrow and Rita from the accounts dept met at a London hotel with a Chinese business man called Mr Lei.
The accounts dept have been putting together information for him and last week they were asked for things they had not been asked for before. These were extra projections and costs which is 'out of the ordinary' and they were told that it's all nearly at an end. One of the accounts people told me that the Chinese were more thorough than anyone had ever been before.
I have not made this up, I have been given this info from someone who is involved in gathering the info at the club.

1.) 19 Jun 2016 10:19:36
hope this happens so wolves can start a new era.

2.) 19 Jun 2016 10:54:11

3.) 19 Jun 2016 11:37:11
Good info Tommo just hope u haven't dropped your source in it.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 12:38:23
If true then excellent info just hope source is safe.

5.) 19 Jun 2016 14:35:56
I think for future reference tommo do not mention which department the source came from as club will swoop on your source faster than moxey eating his greggs pie.

ps jo cox mp may you rest in peace and deepest condolences to her family and friends.

6.) 19 Jun 2016 15:18:41
Lets hope the additional info required was what is the pay out details for :

7.) 19 Jun 2016 15:58:30
With u on that Spanish Wolf.

8.) 19 Jun 2016 17:23:06
I've mentioned Ding Lei a lot on here in the past as it seems the only genuine interest in the club. He made a special journey here from China around last Christmas and was seen at a couple of home matches. With these new reports, like the above, surely it can mean only one thing? His interest certainly isn't diminishing, which must mean something. There is never smoke without fire.

9.) 19 Jun 2016 19:14:30
Oooh poor Rita from accounts! Hope she's not your source. 👎😕.

10.) 19 Jun 2016 20:26:31
Haha NO, Rita is not my source, she is safe.
My source isn't as involved as dear Rita and Rita did NOT give out the info. However, it was 100% factual. I sincerely hope it goes through as my source says money is not a problem for them!

11.) 19 Jun 2016 20:27:18
Surely tommo wouldn't use someone's first name, if the info is true!?

12.) 19 Jun 2016 20:47:38
Look 'Rita' sounds much better than using the real name . JEZ :-)

13.) 19 Jun 2016 20:56:43
I hope lovely Rita doesn't lose her job and end up as a meter maid.

14.) 19 Jun 2016 21:08:36
Absolutely Southbank76, I also mentioned Morgan, Moxey and Skirrow and my source is closer to them than Rita. I only said who was there and did not implicate Rita in anyway. Rita is a lovely woman who often tells Moxey straight when she doesn't agree with him!

15.) 19 Jun 2016 21:09:45
tommo you said "them" is ding lei in a consortium?

16.) 19 Jun 2016 21:35:30
He's worth 10.6 billion, he don't need a consortium.

17.) 20 Jun 2016 09:50:13
Hope it is true Tommy1970,the best bit of news I have heard keep us up to date with any more information.

18.) 20 Jun 2016 10:52:17
Tommo presumably was referring to Moxey-Morgan-Skirrow when he said "them", and not to Ding Lei.

Ding lei is undoubtedly in the same wealth category as the new owner of Villa. It would be a one-man consortium.

If above is true, happy days for Wolves. Birmingham takeover is supposed to be going through. Suddenly West Midlands football is looking up. I can't see a WBA takeover anytime soon. they are in the PL and priced accordingly, so no upside for a shrewd buyer. Villa and Wolves are ultimately more internationally glamorous than WBA.

19.) 20 Jun 2016 11:16:48
why would money not be problem for morgan moxey?

20.) 20 Jun 2016 11:57:43
Gee Wolf, I meant money will not be problem for Ding Lei. Deep Throat, WBA takeover by a different Chinese consortium will be completed in the next fortnight (if not this weekend) .
Obviously guys I can't say how I know this but my counterpart in West Brom says it's close.
Wolves may take a little longer but it looks as though any problems / issues have all but been ironed out.

21.) 20 Jun 2016 17:21:00

It's getting like a Chinese takeaway/ takeover menu.
Order by number. Delivery excluded. Cash only.

Number One. Sweet and sour Villa. Sorry, all gone.
Number Two. Crispy Birmingham. Going fast.
Number three. Soggy WBA dim sum. Out of stock next week.
Number four. Special flied Wolves. Order now while stocks last.

06 Apr 2016 21:52:43
I can tell you that Moxey has been in China and then to Dubia in the last fornight on 'business'.
I don't pretend to be a ' in the know' poster, just that I know who booked his flights and hotels from within the club and his claim for expenses.
I have no idea if its takeover related but very interesting business trip either way!

1.) 06 Apr 2016 22:28:14
Interesting Tommo, an owner from either of them places would do nicely! Rich as hell! Hope your information is correct!

2.) 06 Apr 2016 22:38:03
Hopefully Tommo 1970 u or the Realist bring us a new owner very soon 👍.

3.) 07 Apr 2016 00:11:41
When sir jack took over and spent, at the time, a small fortune, did it bring instant promotion? Ask villa fans how happy they have been since their multimillionaire took over their club. Its not always about throwing money around and hoping it brings success!

4.) 07 Apr 2016 08:08:43
Throwing money around is surely better than the mess we are in right now. If we get somebody with money we need someone who understands football high up to help make decisions, just like Derby have with Redknapp, and a manager who will spend it wisely and can coach our youth players coming through. We need a complete re-structure.

5.) 07 Apr 2016 08:10:12
When Randy Lerner was splashin the cash and O'neil was there they finished 6th 3 seasons on the bounce.

6.) 07 Apr 2016 08:20:11
Agree StuuCorbett. Right manager/ Coach and football people on the board.

7.) 07 Apr 2016 08:28:19
Yeah and Leeds were in the champions league after spending millions. Look at the number of clubs with rich owners who have no idea how to run a club. Newcastle, villa, Sunderland ourselves in recent years. MM got us promoted stu without spending a fortune, we just need someone to come in with a real passion for us to move forward. Why is there this obsession with having a billionaire?!

8.) 07 Apr 2016 08:43:35
I agree with paul and stuucorbett needs a clear out, like the saying goes out with old and in with new?

9.) 07 Apr 2016 09:09:36
I don't think the recruitment money as been to short I just believe its not been spent wisely, I bumped into an ex player who his working on a certain football channel who put his finger on what's happening thelwell given to much of a freehand with transfers not upto the job manager not wanting the players thelwell buying so just rotting on the bench or in the reserves . so thelwell needs to go whatever else happens.

10.) 07 Apr 2016 09:20:58
I agree, when you look at all the transfers in and out in the last 3 years, on the whole Thelwell has failed and should go.

11.) 07 Apr 2016 09:51:50
If your info is correct then Moxey was away on business. He wouldn't be claiming expenses otherwise. That business may not be a takeover. It could be player transfer negotiations. It could be new sponsorship. It could be building the Wolves "brand" in new markets. Etc. etc. Good news anyway.

12.) 07 Apr 2016 12:42:24
Like I said before glad of the points against M. K. Dons not for the performance as safety first is priority.
I think we need a lot of changes at our club, there's to much bad running of our club, we look like an average championship side that turn up each week and play to much negative football with no entertainment value, the only way forward to me is that a new owner or owners come in and change the running of the club and experienced players need to be bought in to go with these young players.

13.) 07 Apr 2016 17:28:14
Why would Moxey build the Wolves brand in new markets when he's failing in this one?

14.) 08 Apr 2016 01:26:39
Could well be Deep Throat, I don't know what it was but I'm told he visited the same people who had been here a few weeks earlier. Still, could be sponsorship I suppose. I asked wether it was takeover related and she just did not know. Sorry.

15.) 08 Apr 2016 11:14:05
hope its good news for once about a takeover?

16.) 08 Apr 2016 20:31:35
The actual story is that Moxey visited a Chinese.

Several in fact

On the same evening.

21 Dec 2015 14:36:16
Ed, lots of rumours about big Wolves announcement on Tuesday. Do you have any info for us?

{Ed001's Note - nothing sorry.}

1.) 21 Dec 2015 17:09:59
5 pm and the local press are NOT aware of any announcement tomorrow morning.

Surely if there was going to be a big announcement then the press would be invited?

2.) 21 Dec 2015 17:12:59
Zyro signing maybe.

3.) 22 Dec 2015 10:32:58
No Announcement.

Am I surprised?

We're like a ghost ship atm, nothing happening or nothing to get excited about.

05 Jun 2015 18:51:20
I understand that Kevin Thelwell has definitely met with Leon Britton and Kevin Nolan. Clearly they are looking for an experienced leader in the middle of the park. Also linked with James Collins from West Ham.

1.) 05 Jun 2015 22:46:27
Tbh Nolan wages will be to much but I'd have Leon Britton and we don't another CB in my opinion

2.) 06 Jun 2015 08:28:09
Nolan and Collins would be great additions, a bit like Ince and Irwin were. Then another striker and winger to replace Sako and were ready for a promotion winnin season!

3.) 06 Jun 2015 11:31:07
None of them thanks. There must be better, younger options

4.) 06 Jun 2015 12:13:10
A bit of experience down the spine can only be good.

5.) 06 Jun 2015 14:07:58
A lot of of rumours going round about Hal robson kanu that wolves are very interested in him now he's quick fairly strong and can score goals if you give him the chance I'd personally have him or what not try and bid of 3m for matt jarvis last season west ham said he was avalibile for 3-4m I'm sure after this season we'd more than likely get him for about 3m and I'm pretty sure he take a wage cut to come back to wolves and I'm sure he said when he left he would love to come back at some point in his career if I'm right?

6.) 06 Jun 2015 15:09:28
Apparently we're sniffing around James McClean from Wigan as well. Would prefer the Icelandic Beckham to be honest. Although knowing Moxey we'll get a guy from Iceland in Peckham

7.) 06 Jun 2015 17:36:38
That's class Bristol wolf we get Bojorn rodneysson from peckham😂😂😂

8.) 06 Jun 2015 20:21:23
Wolves leading race to sign Leon Britton good signing imo

9.) 07 Jun 2015 00:05:22
Yes it I will

03 Jun 2015 16:45:37
I have been told by a Swansea friend that Wolves are in for Leon Britton. I hope this works out as he is just the type of player to help out K Mac in centre mid. Just get Gsyle now and I will be excited!

1.) 04 Jun 2015 08:10:19
Too old, iconsistent, no chance no improvement on what we have.

01 Sep 2016 01:01:38
Ed, you have put any of my last 4 posts up on this site. Any reason why?

{Ed003's Note - just wanted to see if you'd post again Tommo ;) }

31 Aug 2016 23:49:26
As a lifelong Wolves fan I have been using this site for a few years now and I have to say that I am embarrassed. I often scroll through some other clubs sites and this is by far the worst!
There are so many of you who clearly don't have a clue about the game and some of the ludicrous posts about transfers is laughable. The worst thing is the moaning! It was bad under the previous regime but I am stunned how some of you can possibly moan about Fosun after what has happened. Those of you still wanting Sako to return and begging the owners to get average championship players because 'Rhodes and Martin' are the extent of your knowledge.
Wednesfield, Darbo, the bloke who watches the car park all day, some idiot up a tree, oh and the King of nonsense Paul Tamworth. You all embarrass yourselves every time you post.
The Ed is soooo right, and this is the worst site of all.
Anyway, this is the last time I will be posting as it just makes me shake my head when reading the nonsense.
Thank you Ed's for all your common sense and work, I really don't know how or why you do it.

{Ed003's Note - not the worst site at all - all are difficult at times but I would like to thank folk for contributions apologies for those that don't get through the review stage.I can only speak for myself but I do it because of my love for the game and my obsession with football,good or bad.}

1.) 01 Sep 2016 06:02:51
Well said tommo.

2.) 01 Sep 2016 06:57:04
Couldn't agree with you more Tommo probably best you go you are the font of wisdom and knowledge and far to good for this site! I bow to your superiority oh great one! 😂😂😂 it's a football message board, it's all about opinions! If we all agreed on everything it would be borin! By the way well done Big Jeff and Fosun on your purchases and puttin life back into Wolves, hopefully the fans will start comin to molineux in force again! 👍 But Big Jeff I still would of got a 20 goal plus striker like Rhodes, but hey you can do that in January to complete our promotion to the Prem 👍 Thankyou and well done👍.

3.) 01 Sep 2016 07:52:08
I have supported Wolves for 55 years and this is the most excited I have been. The wife thinks I have got another woman, she is right, she is called WOLVES. come on me babbies.

4.) 01 Sep 2016 08:58:10
Wouldn't wanna get stuck in a lift with that tommo eh!

31 Jul 2016 14:34:56
Typical Wolves. Our lookout at the stadium has double vision 😂.

06 Apr 2016 22:52:12
Lads I'm not in the know like the realist. As I say, I just know someone who works in the offices who organised and invoiced his flights and hotels. I don't want to name her as its my best mates wife and she never gets to know anything other than financial stuff but this is 100% truth. BUT, may have nothing to do with takeover. I just can't think of another reason for Moxey to go over there on business!
Fingers crossed!

1.) 06 Apr 2016 23:00:23
Sorry I earlier posted this on the rumours page:
I can tell you that Moxey has been in China and then to Dubia in the last fornight on 'business'.
I don't pretend to be a ' in the know' poster, just that I know who booked his flights and hotels from within the club and his claim for expenses.
I have no idea if its takeover related but very interesting business trip either way!

2.) 06 Apr 2016 23:05:42
Where did Moxey go?

3.) 07 Apr 2016 09:10:48
Maybe moxeys got another job.

4.) 07 Apr 2016 11:46:26
Long way to go for a Chinese takeaway even by Moxey's standards!

5.) 07 Apr 2016 15:34:54
Oh well, that's her out of a job now, I'll bet your mate will be well impressed.

05 Mar 2016 17:24:16
Rubbish. MacDonald had to keep turning and changing direction as no one moving or wanting the ball. He is not a player who will hit and hope and he needs help. Helan flatters to deceive as absolutely no end product from him in both games. Siggy is clueless up top alone and didn't realise Saville and Bryne were playing.
Big changes needed, NOW!

1.) 05 Mar 2016 18:53:14
Macdonald is to slow, when price came on he moved more and made simple passes, unlike macca. who is out of his depth. we should have tried to sign guedioura on loan. but we did not do enough to strenghthen. roll on the end of this sorry disjointed season.

2.) 06 Mar 2016 13:47:00
It is ridiculous to say MacDonald is out of his depth. He needs help and should be playing further up the field. On Friday Coady and Saville should have been behind KMac not in front. He is the only player who keeps the ball and looks to move forward. I like price and he is miles better than Saville.
KMac has suffered since KJ abandoned the passing game and went more direct. Big surgery needed to the playing staff.

3.) 06 Mar 2016 14:05:19
And Management Tommo 1970.

4.) 06 Mar 2016 18:09:02
K MAC was rubbish against borough looked like a big carthorse all the players except Doherty to me were crap and it needs changing round quickly because this is not good enough, they had not got a clue and also borough played at Blackburn a few days before and still looked fitter than our team.
JACKETT as to go he looks out is depth he is so negative is team selections are crap.

I don’t think he could play in our midfield as we only play two in the centre and he’s a bit of a luxury. Even if we go to Lage’s preferred 442 he just doesn’t fit for me, but that’s only my opinion Seanmorton.
Personally I don’t think Spurs have a player available that I would want - but Chelsea do!

To seanmorton95 - in what position in our system would the lazy Deli Alli actually play? And who would he play instead of?
As we currently play a 3-4-3 surely he can only play on the left side of the front 3 where Podence currently plays and Neto or Hwang will soon be available.
Sounds like a bizarre idea to me.

Bullysboy ll I believe he will still count as homegrown unless he is loaned out to another league (Doherty went on loan in Scotland).
So we could recall MGW and send Fabio to Sheff Utd and he’d still be homegrown.
Ed, am I right in thinking that?

Ed002 Note: Fabio Silva will count as HG going forward if he stays at Wolves, goes on loan in England or Wales. If he goes to Scotland that blows it as it is a different FA.}

Coady has always been a CB until he left Liverpool for Huddersfield. He could do it but we need an experienced leader at the back. AND THAT IS NOT STEARMAN!
can't judge a long ball, always 2 yards out of position and panics when under pressure. Please God, NO! '

Totally agree Phil, I thought they let the ref down badly but he didn’t panic and thought he did well. Overall a very good second half from us but again only out away one from 5 or 6 good chances. If we were clinical we would be too 4 by now!

Phil, I understand your frustration but I can’t see how it was the refs fault. He was let down by the technology on his premier league debut and not allowed to carry on without it. Can you imagine if we had a penalty shout which he relied on VAR for and he couldn’t have contact?
It was his first game and I thought he was miles better than most idiots we’ve had this season!
Very good 3 points but glaringly obvious we need reinforcements in January.

We did not play a 442 in the first few games at all Nigel T. We always played with a back 3 this season but clearly Bruno figured out we couldn’t play that open and get points.
I’m sure there is a balance to be struck as if we played that way against Norwich, Burnley, Newcastle, etc. instead of Leics, Spurs, Man Utd we would score goals!
A good win tomorrow and we will be in the top 7.
