From the Beeb gossip page " Wolves are interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb and Spain midfielder Dani Olmo, 21, in the January transfer window and are willing to pay up to 25m euros (£21.3m) ".

Debbie McGee

1.) 21 Jan 2020 08:20:06
Already rubbishd by Tim Spiers and Nash.

2.) 21 Jan 2020 10:41:53
My bad, that’s a very old story that’s just been reincarnated.

3.) 21 Jan 2020 14:26:30
Since when did Spiers and Nash have the ear of Molineux's inner sanctum?

4.) 21 Jan 2020 15:59:48
Spiers states he has been told from someone high at the club. He isn’t going to lie and ruin his credibility is he?

5.) 21 Jan 2020 16:11:49
Spiers has been known to say players aren't coming and they end up coming.

6.) 21 Jan 2020 16:40:56
I take words coming out of Tim Spiers mouth with a pinch of salt, he knows Sweet FA about what goes on at Wolves.
Fosun / Nuno won't tell him any info to leak into the Media roundabout.

7.) 21 Jan 2020 16:57:50
Spiers and the E&S are the propaganda machine for Wolves, they won’t upset their masters. Tim Nash wasn’t afraid to print rumours and articles that criticized Wolves. Probably why he left the E&S and Tim Spiers got promoted to correspondent.

8.) 21 Jan 2020 17:14:00
Tim Spiers no longer works for E&S.

9.) 21 Jan 2020 18:01:42
Wasn't Tim 'in the know' Spiers the guy who said there wasn't going to be a takeover? Then along came Fosun.

10.) 21 Jan 2020 18:12:12
Jas M - I know this, he seems to want to keep on good terms with them being as he’s now the corespondent for an online media company (the athletic or something similar)

11.) 21 Jan 2020 19:10:07
9 pound a month subscription to read old Tim on his new publication.

12.) 21 Jan 2020 19:30:51
£9.00 per month? Wow!

13.) 21 Jan 2020 20:25:34
Yeah calls itself 'the new home of football writing' load of bunkum.

14.) 22 Jan 2020 12:35:48
I don't know about anyone else but even with the acquisitions of Podence, Campana and oliveira. I still think wolves could go for Olmo. If the price is right and the player wants to come.

15.) 22 Jan 2020 16:42:31
I'd love Olmo to come. Top young talent. Looking doubtful though.

16.) 23 Jan 2020 00:38:53
£9 per month to read Tim's publication. You must be joking - I would want a lot more than that to read his stuff.

17.) 23 Jan 2020 10:15:54
Tbf some interesting articles on there. But like you say it's a rip off.

20 Jan 2020 15:14:07
Tim "Britney" Spiers Twitter " I'm told that talks have taken place over signing AEK Athens' Portuguese striker Nelson Oliveira.

Wolves have looked at him before when he was with Norwich. Scored 9 in 15 in the Greek league this season. Aged 28, 6ft 1in, could be an ideal back-up to Jimenez. ".

Debbie McGee

1.) 20 Jan 2020 15:58:56
I'm not normally the type to drop we can do better.

But.

Think we can do better.

2.) 20 Jan 2020 16:02:22
No no no. He's rubbish.

3.) 20 Jan 2020 16:05:11
Please no, he isn’t Premier League quality.

4.) 20 Jan 2020 16:12:14
Oliveira might be decent back up but surely he's on the same sort of level as Bonatini, my father in laws a big Norwich fan and he's said he was useless towards the end there but we all know what Nuno can do with players so fingers crossed.

5.) 20 Jan 2020 16:13:29
Looks as though Oliveria deal is as good as done. Although I don't rate him, I'll back him every time he plays.

6.) 20 Jan 2020 16:30:55
He is clearly a plan B and for £6,000,000 not an expensive one.

7.) 20 Jan 2020 16:39:01
Strong, technical, aggressive and fits the way we play. He fell out with Farke very early at Norwich and never seemed to want to play for them. Scored a few goals for them before it all went wrong though, I think.

I'm not 100% convinced by his attitude and a touch concerned, but if Nuno reckons he can work within this squad then I'll go with it.

Potence looks like a tidy little (very little) player, too. Quite excited by him.

8.) 20 Jan 2020 17:23:01
For 6 mil it's not a massive risk. Wouldn't give him any more than 18month contract. Hopefully it's an option to buy also. Was this stated?

I imagine he was a fair way down on the list of targets. Ah well needs must.

Might have gone for that Danny Loader instead.

9.) 20 Jan 2020 18:04:14
If it happens Olivera will be a third (possibly even 4th choice if Campana settles quick) . I think he's bang average if honest but as a sub almost cettainly bought in just to cover Seal being able to head out on loan, then I suppose it just about makes sense?!

10.) 20 Jan 2020 20:13:05
Talking of players linked. Watching the WBA Stoke game in the hope of an upset.

That Tyrese Campbell has just scored. Looks a very pacy and tidy young lad. Lots of rumours around his name with us recently. I'd be looking closely at him.

11.) 20 Jan 2020 21:35:53
delete repoly.

12.) 21 Jan 2020 09:58:34
Olmo would be a great signing for Wolves.

12 Jan 2020 00:59:47
Wolves have emerged as a possible destination for Atletico Madrid's Thomas Lemar because of the club's relationship with the 24-year-old France winger's agent, Jorge Mendes

(This was mentioned by benb05 and I slated him, so please accept my apologies. You were right and I was wrong)

Debbie McGee

1.) 12 Jan 2020 07:13:10
Can't see it, but you never know.

2.) 12 Jan 2020 09:52:50
In many respects I agree Tibbsy.

Lemar might see it as a brave kickstart to his career.

Form and current season aside. I think that's a serious footballer. Would be a statement of intent.

Mendes World Cup Winner.

3.) 12 Jan 2020 15:29:02
Apology accepted. I only ever post what info i'm fed. So far it's been interest i'm Thomas Lemar, Gedson Fernandes and Paco Alcacer.

4.) 12 Jan 2020 16:03:12
Very gracious of you :)

5.) 13 Jan 2020 08:51:18
No chance. They paid £72million for him so will want a big chunk of that back. We won't smash our transfer fee mid season for a lad who's been underperforming for a few seasons. Very hot and cold according to the European footy guys on Talksport.

6.) 13 Jan 2020 15:54:53
We might if he's on a loan to buy deal till the end of the season.
Would be a great statement of intent signing if true for other potential signings.

08 Jan 2020 20:16:45
Tim Nash - "Wolves' pursuit of Hwang Hee-Chan looks to be on hold - after Red Bull Salzburg said they will not sell until the summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to bolster his attack with the £19m-rated forward after being linked with a move with the South Korean for several weeks.

But Wolves will have to play a waiting game because the Austrian club are not prepared to lose any more attackers until the summer. ".

Debbie McGee

1.) 08 Jan 2020 21:25:16
Here we again same old transfer hold ups where Wolves are concerned. As usual sit back and watch everyone else strengthen.

{Ed002's Note - They have been trying to get a replacement - but have been struggling. You cannot sensibly expect sales without an idea of a replacement arriving.}

2.) 08 Jan 2020 21:36:29
SQ if Red Bull aren't going to sell until there isn't much Wolves can do tbf.

3.) 08 Jan 2020 21:48:35
Ed002 - SQ enjoys trolling and misinformation, he/ she is pretty much the Russia of this website.

4.) 08 Jan 2020 22:04:16
Time to give Curtrone his chance, he is good enough, he needs time as did Traore, attacking mid is what we need, hope Bruno come back soon as o think he and Shebani when he recover are gona be big players.

5.) 09 Jan 2020 08:00:43
Anyone know anything about Danny Loader? We agreed a fee and he was having his medical but Reading pulled the plug because they didn’t have enough strikers. He’s a fantastic talent, anyone know if the deal is back on the table?

6.) 09 Jan 2020 10:03:21
All the expert pundits have raved at how well wolves conduct their transfer business. Fact not worse case scenario thinking.
Agree BridgoWolf loader is a top talent and Sydneywolf your post makes perfect sense.
FWAW.

31 Dec 2019 03:01:27
Couple of bits from the BBC gossip page: Fiorentina want to sign Wolverhampton and Italy striker Patrick Cutrone, 21, on loan until the end of the season.

Real Madrid will recall Spanish defender Jesus Vallejo, 22, from his loan spell at Wolves in January because of a lack of playing time.

Debbie McGee

1.) 31 Dec 2019 12:08:10
Cutrone I can't see going anywhere unless a replacement is brought in. I expect him to be used as a bit part player this season and be more involved next season. In regards to Vallejo, no point keeping him uf he ain't playing. Need to bring someone in who will provide cover/ competition to what we already have and Vallejo just isn't that player.

2.) 31 Dec 2019 13:11:41
I’m in the same mindset about PC, we have no back up in that position. It would be a silly move. Vallejo move just didn’t work out for whatever reason (s) - shame really, but Nuno says he wants a CB in January so that says it all.

Happy New Year everyone, Wolves ay we.

3.) 31 Dec 2019 16:09:52
Do you think it is fair to Patrick to keep him and only use him a few minutes a game, destroying his chance of making the Italian national team?
There must be some kind of friction between him and Nuno that no one is talking about.

4.) 31 Dec 2019 16:50:34
Or maybe he's a young player who joined a team at the very end of the summer transfer window and is adapting to the demands of a very competitive league and different playing style. A player that had his confidence and way of life turned upside down by his beloved team selling him out to us unexpectedly.

Like Neto he needs time to bed in and is starting way behind due to his circumstances. He's starting behind one of the finest strikers the club has seen in a hell of a long time and will be getting better behind the scenes every day. 6 months to break into a new team isn't exactly unheard of. Maybe he's frustrated - he's young and ambitious - but everything coming out of the club is positive and nurturing from the player and the manager. I'm sure he will be being looked after and managed and will have all the facts in hand. rather than us speculating and trying to find a headline or some friction where there isn't any. It's probably better to rely on our club and coaching staff rather than the gossip rags and clickbait merchants, I reckon.

And with a season under his belt here, I'm sure he'll be one hell of a player. Hope it all works out.

5.) 31 Dec 2019 16:54:19
You realize he is scoring at a 20+ goal per Premier League season pace, don't you?
How does he need to adapt?
And that still isn't going to make a difference when they select the Italian national team.

6.) 31 Dec 2019 18:58:51
Also, why is Neto getting more time if they both started pretty much at the same time?
If he were getting the same game time as Neto, it probably wouldn't be an issue and he'd have 4 or 5 goals.

7.) 31 Dec 2019 19:27:22
Where did Nuno tell you that, Debs, as it's news to me? To push on this season we need an extra midfielder (attacking) and a centre forward who can offer more than Cutrone's bit parts. See my Belotti posts.

8.) 31 Dec 2019 19:55:26
OK cool, the only conclusion is he's fallen out with Nuno and he'll be leaving tomorrow.

9.) 31 Dec 2019 20:44:11
Good news is that Nuno likes Max, workrate and willing to learn. Defender coming in (with Willy back in a month) will be a LB which let’s Jonny have the RWB option.

10.) 31 Dec 2019 22:14:03
Every transfer window its the same. Everyone reading a snippet in the paper or hearing a pundits opinion and thinking it must be true. History has taught us that us fans don't know anything about transfers until they're completed a la Moutinho, Jimenez, Patricio, Dendoncker and Vallejo.

11.) 31 Dec 2019 22:22:13
@ OldWolf E&S have quoted him directly about wanting a CB in January.

12.) 04 Jan 2020 20:17:47
Surely it's the RCB position up for grabs

Cutrone isn't happy that's what I think anyway like Griffiths a few seasons back he never really wanted the move in the first place.

Tottenham may be forced to lower their £7m valuation of Victor Wanyama as they struggle to find a buyer for the 28-year-old Kenya midfielder. - Opinion surely he's worth a punt at that money?

Debbie McGee

1.) 25 Jan 2020 10:10:50
If he could stay fit then yes. Problem is he's a bit like Jack Wilshire in that he keeps getting little niggles that keep him out for ages. From that point of view, no thanks.

2.) 25 Jan 2020 10:45:05
Agree Jas M also its got to the point with wilshere where I forgot he was at west ham.

3.) 25 Jan 2020 12:12:36
Don't think Fosun can afford it. We've just splashed out another 180,000 on Lonwijk. That was from the pie sales on Thursday night.

18 Jul 2018 20:37:20
Looks like Gelson Martins *could* be on his way to Wolves 🐺

"The agreement with Gelson Martins is complete but he needs to resolve his situation with Sporting and Wolverhampton" (Ondacero. es)

Debbie McGee

1.) 18 Jul 2018 20:54:40
His going to be a great signing for athletico madrid.

2.) 19 Jul 2018 13:50:10
I'd be very surprised if Wolves will want to do any business with Sporting now tbh, also as Wolvessteve pointed out Martins has gone to Atletico.

23 Jun 2018 20:33:56
Just had the local electrician in to quote me a job (new outdoor lights for the decking) . Loves his footy/ Wolves and has a lot of contacts in the area (mainly other trades men, he may know the flooring guy previously mentioned) .

He told me that Wolves are interested in signing Bruno Fernandes.

Debbie McGee

1.) 23 Jun 2018 21:01:36
As he cancelled his contract?

2.) 23 Jun 2018 21:41:11
Not again! has anyone on here got a sense of humour?

3.) 23 Jun 2018 23:54:20
I thought we were signing Tyler Spark :P.

Dot Cotton RE: Fosun - Fosun International Limited is a Chinese conglomerate and investment company. Founded in 1992 by Guo Guangchang and four others, the company is headquartered in Shanghai and was incorporated in Hong Kong in 2004. By based I mean they trade from HK. The Shanghai International Football Tournament (SIFT) is has nothing going to do with it, the annual football event in China, organised by the municipal government of Shanghai.

SQ - Fosun are based in Hong Kong and therefore have no ties to the Chinese economy, they’re a conglomerate business which means they have many different business that may or may not be interlinked - which don’t depend on the Chinese economy. What’s this about Newcastle being taken over? That was let summers rumour, to say Wolves can’t compete with some fictitious Sudi or otherwise owners is ridiculous (FFP) . You’re the most negative poster on here, you’re a part of the old brigade - you were probably secretly happy when Jez Moxey was at the helm then you truly had something to bemoan. Either way I’m just going to ignore your negativity - there’s so much to be happy / grateful for regarding Fosun and how Wolves are performing. Take care.

SQ - slowing Chinese economy? Fosun are based in Hong Kong, a simple Google of the word conglomerate would clear that up. And some nonsense about a virus? Your Baggies Chinese based owners failed like Villas and Birmingham’s. This is classic projection. You’re top of the championship and currently beating West Ham, be happy.
