According to the Mail "Porto have rejected a £22m bid from Wolves for winger Jesus Corona. The 27-year-old Mexico international has a £27m release clause in his contract".

Debbie McGee

1.) 11 Sep 2020 09:26:32
Jesus wept Debbie! If we want him that badly pay the extra £5 mil to activate the release clause. The Arsenal saga would have taught us that. That's if the story is remotely true by the way. The Mail is as bad as the Birmingham one.

I haven't heard anything of Paul Tamworth recently. I guess he's not thrilled that Nuno will probably sign a new contract. I wonder when PT last actually liked a Wolves manager. let's tick them off:

Nuno: definitely not!
Clipboard Connor:?
Hoddle:? Maybe?

{Ed001's Note - Paul had his accounts deleted, he kept straying outside the T&C and acceptable behaviour with his name calling of anyone who had a different view from him.}

2.) 11 Sep 2020 11:02:07
I might be mistaken but i'm sure birmingham mail and daily mail are owned by the same company.

{Ed002's Note - You are mistaken.}

3.) 11 Sep 2020 11:48:35
Birmingham Mail is owned by the Mirror group.

4.) 11 Sep 2020 12:41:25
Not surprised to hear that about PT, Ed001. True fans know there will be ups and downs. Nuno has done a terrific job in his three years. Virtually everyone on this site wants him to sign a new contract. It's a shame Paul couldn't see this.

5.) 11 Sep 2020 13:13:53
Ed 002 according to Wikipedia the Birmingham Mail and Daily Mirror are both owned by Reach.

{Ed002's Note - Yes they are. That was not the question.}

6.) 11 Sep 2020 15:24:57
Wonder what name Tamworth Paul will come back as?

7.) 11 Sep 2020 16:33:18
Paul Tamworth got into some silly business (on the banter page) he accused the PL powers that be of being "snowflakes" back in March at the start of public gathering restrictions.

He literally backed every manager until things didn't work out, then he'd turn on them with vitriol. When Dean Saunders became manager his sign off was "In Deano we trust" that didn't last long.

And as per the Titter line went, if anyone celebrated anything Wolves he classed them as "happy clappers"

As a polite contrast SQ has had his rightful moans and groans (and please SQ I say this with all the respect in the world) but had the deceny to say why he felt that way, and after doing so recently a lot in here gave kudos/ respect. At least SQ provided a rationale for his perspective.

PT is just a moaner, he'd moan no matter who he supported, he's more fickle than a Real Madrid supporter. Rant over.

8.) 11 Sep 2020 19:03:59
PT. done wrong by name calling posters on here who thought different to him as the Ed said.
Social media can be a dangerous place for people who are of ill mind.
Sometimes people forget this and the ed's have done what they are obliged to do, ban people like PT.
For months and months on here has been flooded with the same tit4tat posts name calling not just from PT
Glad I not reading it no more as its all changed on here.
Mostly down to SQ.
So SQ thankyou but you did at times puzzle and blow my mind with your negativity. lol just being honest I probably done the same to you being super positive.

9.) 11 Sep 2020 23:06:24
I didn't think PT was out of order I didn't agree with him much but he's been here a long time and was probably the most prolific contributor when I joined a few years ago.

{Ed001's Note - that's because I would delete half of his comments. Every time someone disagreed with him, he would get aggressive and nasty. He just went too far this time.}

10.) 12 Sep 2020 00:30:11
Although new to the site this last couple of weeks one of the things that makes this site so much better than some of the others - I have stopped reading "the football network" because of this - is the fact that people on this site are able to express contrary view - bulls and bears - without receiving personal abuse.
We are surely all Wolves fans and just want the team to do well.
One thing though that does surprise me is the criticism of our own players on this site.
Some us bizarrely, despite the amazing success of the last couple of years, seem to rate our players far less than fans of other teams rate either their own team's players or it would appear even ours!
Have we already become blase and forgotten the last 50+ years of hurt?
Maybe I am over loyal - certainly comment was made over my unwillingness to see change - but for me all the while your are wearing the shirt you should be supported.
Once you are gone though - its the king is dead long live the king for the new player.
I have bored you all with my love of Doherty but I hope he is awful for Spurs.
However I am shocked by the occasional disrespecting of Jimenez (? ) and truly amazed by the attitude of many to Traore () .
As I said though we are all entitled to our opinions!

11.) 12 Sep 2020 10:47:56
Let's all forget about PT and move on. :)

12.) 12 Sep 2020 13:53:33
I agree Rated, also just to say I know the thread PT was pulling at around the time he was banned and suspect that he'd already been right up to the borderline of acceptable offense! I know cause Jas and myself called him out on it, I was surprised I had not got a response but now realise that I probs did and hats off to the Ed that I never had to read that vile stuff! Like others I am all for free speech when it's about the team however as we all know that does not and absolutely should not be an excuse for personal abuse or offensive language! After all its just football, no need to get personal. If that's what's he was doing then we are better off without, onwards and upwards 👍.

13.) 13 Sep 2020 14:08:57
Negativity keeps me sane-it's the optimism that can kill yer!

09 Sep 2020 14:11:48
"Wolves are reportedly keen on a move for Jean-Clair Todibo this summer.
" Express and Star.

1.) 09 Sep 2020 14:43:31
Looks like a good player Debbie and it seems Barcelona want the money. Exciting time to be a Wolves fan. Never seen anything like this it's awesome! Bring on next week. 😁😁.

2.) 09 Sep 2020 17:50:10
Shalke didn't want to keep him. Not convinced.

3.) 09 Sep 2020 18:07:50
Todibo was strongly linked with us last week.
As per usual, the Depress and Stir, are a week behind reporting on their local team.

4.) 09 Sep 2020 21:43:04
Schalke didn't take him on price I think. I reckon if Nuno wants him (if the stories are true obviously) he probably sees something in him.

08 Aug 2020 12:39:25
According to The Mail " Wolverhampton Wanderers will open new contract talks with manager Nuno Espirito Santo when their Europa League campaign is finished. ".

Debbie McGee

1.) 08 Aug 2020 15:45:37
Heard quite a few voices say he will be in line for an extension till 2023. That will do me.

2.) 08 Aug 2020 15:48:25
August 22nd then Deb 😉.

05 Aug 2020 00:26:30
Liverpool, Crystal Palace and *Wolves* have indicated their interest in signing 22-year-old Senegal winger Ismaila Sarr from relegated Watford.

If true do Wolves really need another winger?

Debbie McGee

1.) 05 Aug 2020 06:12:33
Only if we loose one. Adama.

2.) 05 Aug 2020 11:09:18
Maybe Nuno can turn him into a striker? He sees things in players other managers can't see.

3.) 05 Aug 2020 12:44:03
Hat trick against Liverpool isn't too shabby.

4.) 05 Aug 2020 14:16:46
That Ollie Watkins from Brentford looks a very good prospect for us at Striker. He's available with them not coming up to the prem.

Been impressed with him tbf.

5.) 06 Aug 2020 09:35:12
It seemed at one time that Watkins wanted to stay in London. He had said that Arsenal would be his dream move but they have to sort out who goes and stays and don't have a lot of cash. West Ham are keen and Dean Smith is a fan from his days at Brentford. But who knows, while they stand around talking and having clearly someone else who is ready to buy could step in. But I think our option will come from abroad.

6.) 06 Aug 2020 14:56:15
I think we will recruit from abroad. Our signings in the PL have been very good but not the sort to make other teams really sit up and take notice. They certainly did take notice when we signed the likes of Neves when we were in the championship. I want a signing or two that will make people say wow!

7.) 06 Aug 2020 19:21:14
Expect the unexpected
Big week coming
Yow ain’t seen me rite.

8.) 07 Aug 2020 02:05:05
Ohh Yh realist what you heard.

9.) 07 Aug 2020 10:40:02
I wait with extreme excitement of curiosity this week coming The realist.
We will see if you're full of it or not.

10.) 07 Aug 2020 14:13:54
Realist, are you being realistic? I know your name says you are, but be realistic man! Nuno and the lads will be jetting off for the mini-EL tournament in Germany. We could be home next Wednesday downhearted
- but on the other hand we could also be in Germany until after the final, two weeks today. If we make it to the final I expect the lads will be sent on holiday. Nuno will deserve to be on the beach. In my opinion we will hold off on major signings until we are home and settled. Winning the EL would make it easier to sign certain players, so no point in making moves now.

11.) 07 Aug 2020 17:56:55
deep throat take in you’ve heard the news
There ain’t going to be any significant signings.

04 Aug 2020 02:07:16
Apparently "Paris St-Germain want to sell former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye and Wolves are interested in the Senegal international" Le10 Sport.

Debbie McGee

1.) 04 Aug 2020 05:50:14
He is a master of breaking up play making tackles and starting counter attacks. If Nuno wants a defense minded midfielder (speculation)

Very neat and tidy on the ball as well. We could do a lot worse. Anyone of that quality would have to say would be an unreal signing.

2.) 04 Aug 2020 12:44:12
We badly need a goal-scoring midfielder. I like Gueye but he's a different sort of option. Bruno Fernandes would have been fantastic for us. Look at the difference he's made at Manure. Imagine if we found a young Frank Lampard. That's how we should be thinking.

3.) 04 Aug 2020 13:41:23
@ Deep Throat I'm wondering if that role is earmarked Meritan Shabani? My wish list would be a Defender and an AMF.

4.) 04 Aug 2020 15:09:55
The way we play doesn't really accommodate too much of an attack minded Midfielder. I do get your points. But look how much defending Moutinho and Neves do. The structure they fit within is quite rigid. They almost never break through a lines with a dribble. About the closest thing we have MGW and Nuno doesn't seem convinced with that one.

5.) 05 Aug 2020 12:54:30
My wish list,3 players if serious of getting into top 4 because at this moment like it or not, we cannot get in top 6 and for me we have to compete in Europe to keep our best players or they will move on,
But being a Wolves fan have to say on our day with bit of luck like refereeing decisions for one, could win Europa with the players we have now, but we have to tighten up at the back and need to create more chances in midfield and a lot more work up front is needed.
we try to walk the ball in to much for me instead of shooting at goal.

Official: Nuno has signed a three year contract extension! I'm over the moon!

Debbie McGee

1.) 13 Sep 2020 17:29:37
Tbh I never thought he would leave but it's great news to have it confirmed.
Looking forward to a great season, onwards and upwards.

2.) 14 Sep 2020 10:59:52
Really surprised Nuno's renewed I thought a Paul Tamworth/ Coven Wolf duo was nailed on. Tough luck lads overlooked again.

07 Sep 2020 20:35:15
Wolves are set to sign Porto midfielder Vitor Ferreira on loan with an option to buy - from the E&S.

It's official, not one of us know anything 😂😂😂.

Debbie McGee

1.) 07 Sep 2020 20:40:43
Yet again Debbie, Nuno, big Jeff and Fosun, pull off another blinder, without a single hint of what’s going on. And to think, less than a week ago they were being doubted on here. We keep saying it, but. what a time to be a wolves fan.

2.) 07 Sep 2020 22:55:59
Porto lol I must go there one day.

03 Sep 2020 14:31:07
The Premier League has terminated its £564m contract with its Chinese licensee with immediate effect.

China was the English top flight's most lucrative overseas television rights territory, with a three-season deal agreed in 2019.

It is understood the reasons for the termination are financial rather than political.

BBC Sport has been told streaming service PPTV withheld its latest payment of £160m, due in March.

I wonder what impact this will have on Wolves?

Debbie McGee

{Ed002's Note - They never paid what was due.}

1.) 03 Sep 2020 15:16:23
This has been rumbling on in press for a while Debbie. Maybe another Chinese company will step in and buy the rights, it's one big market. Prem is very popular in China it would be a surprise if no one snaps them up.

2.) 03 Sep 2020 15:36:21
Ed002 - I mean in terms of exposure in China, Fosun did say they strategically bought Wolves in terms of the symbolism of the Wolf in China. Couple that with Wolves Mega Store in Shanghai, China is clearly a market Fosun want as much exposure as possible to sell Wolves as a brand. So no T. V exposure may hamper that.

{Ed002's Note - The Premier League will relet the contract.}

3.) 03 Sep 2020 16:09:00
If the new contract buyers have no Chinese influence that will be the end of Fosun and Wolves. They need to start considering selling to new owners now. Its apparent Nuno has no intention of staying and equally no players coming in. Three steps forward ten steps back. The dream is over.

{Ed002's Note - What? The contract is for broadcasting in China.}

4.) 03 Sep 2020 16:28:29
Fosun are a world wide investment company, so their risk is spread, it is not linked solely to 1 market. There will be few investors for the Chinese TV rights at current prices, so all Prem clubs can expect a drop in earnings over the next few years. However, Fosun may well be looking at the TV rights themselves.

5.) 03 Sep 2020 17:32:16
Wimbornewolf agreed Fosun are worldwide and the TV rights will get snapped up in China, maybe not for the same money. I see Guo's wife owns Grasshoppers (probably not news to most but was to me! ) . Clearly as a group they are in for the long haul. Lots of companies are having to reassess spending Wolves will be no different. Hopefully after they've bought 2 or 3 first team players!

6.) 03 Sep 2020 18:19:01
Sq- what are you even on about fella?! You realise that this is between the Prem and (is it) PPTV?! It has literally NOTHING to do with us directly, save the extra few quid the deal would have bought in for all Prem clubs. Your losing it on here fella, stop seeing four horseman around every corner eh?! If nothing else it's seriously boring! 👍.

19 Aug 2020 20:25:27
Who is your favourite old transfer rumour?

Mine was last season and Diego Costa.

Debbie McGee

1.) 19 Aug 2020 22:20:43
Andre Silva rumour used to do my head in. But Diego Costa, Thomas Lemar and Joao Felix were good ones.

2.) 19 Aug 2020 22:20:50
Bergkamp when we first got promoted to Premiership. Central news "exclusively" revealed that it was a done deal! And some of us believed it!

3.) 21 Aug 2020 22:29:37
The dude up the tree at Compton

Can't recall what he said he saw but it gave us a laugh

And the perennial Frimpong rumour

And Ding Le buying our club.

07 Jul 2020 19:10:02
More of a fact than rumour, but, Helder Costa completes £16m Leeds move on four-year contract.

Debbie McGee

1.) 07 Jul 2020 21:04:55
Good luck to him he gave us some great memories before sadly losing his form.

2.) 07 Jul 2020 22:05:17
Our star player in his first season.

3.) 08 Jul 2020 07:21:22
Was at anfield in the fa Cup Costa played a blinder 4ever memory's.

If you’d like to know if Wozza called any of these signings before anyone else, they’re all time and date stamped on here. Then compare the timeline to media outlets and Twitter (if you can be that bothered) . It’s pretty simple really.
None of us know who’s signing, hence the title of Wolves Rumours, the speculation is fun and it’s interesting to get others views. That’s why I come here.

@ Jas M: I credited Wozza10 for the Jota speculation. What I didn’t know was it was all over Twitter (since I left that playground awhile back) Wozza10 loves the windups, leave him to it. All these troll accounts give up in the end. Remember Paul Daniels? When the trolls don’t get the attention they crave from posts, the posts tend to get wilder and more unbelievable. This is what’s happening now with Wozz10 and the JacomoSilva account too.

If VAR hadn’t of been in the way he would’ve been 3rd best, according to your rating. Here’s another one: Wolves finished with more points this season as compared to last. But that’s not an improvement, is it? Oh and reaching the quarter final of the Europa League.

Poor guy, injuries ravaged his career. If you want to see disappointment, do an image search for Frimpong signing for Barnsley. He looks miserable.
