So conflicting reports say GON remains for WH game, others saying we've offered job to Potter but that Potter wants wH job when lopetegui leaves.
GON due to do prematch interview Friday as normal. Everything's still open to the rumour mill.
1.) 05 Dec 2024 15:45:14
Let's hope that West Ham win and Loppie keeps his job.
2.) 05 Dec 2024 15:48:22
Abbey, see my post above.
3.) 05 Dec 2024 16:01:18
Well if we are Potters 2nd choice, tell him to do one. We don't need people who ain't committed to the cause.
4.) 05 Dec 2024 16:51:27
The West Ham boss is not a big fan of Potter. They may look elsewhere.
05 Dec 2024 12:04:32
So according to Sky sports news they 'understand that oneil will be in charge for the West ham game".
Well one last embarrassment before he goes.
The Honved anniversary game v Ipswich will be interesting. Memories of old and what sort of Memories made?
Oh dear
1.) 05 Dec 2024 12:35:04
Don't know what we're all worried about Abbey. He's just been nominated for November manager of the month!
2.) 05 Dec 2024 14:14:43
Shi or fosun going won't solve anything. We had our best times under Fosun/Nuno.What we need is a manager that can get this talented bunch motivated. Admittedly Fosun are now putting pressure on Shi to make money but at same time they are our best chance of staying up given the right manager.Change NOW before its to late. What's point in waiting until after West Ham?
07 Jan 2024 08:25:19
Sasa loan to franfurt confirmed then.
1.) 07 Jan 2024 12:58:45
With sasa and fabio gone, we must be close to geting a striker in. I know they hardly played but it was two bodies on the bench, in a small squad.
With players away and gomez missing 3 we need cover if we pick up a couple of injuries we could find it difficult to win games
2.) 07 Jan 2024 13:42:42
There must be someone lined up, otherwise SK wouldn't have been let go out on loan. But who is the question?
3.) 07 Jan 2024 14:09:26
Danny Ings
4.) 07 Jan 2024 17:07:12
Prefer Danny to Che Adams
5.) 07 Jan 2024 18:08:47
I think your right Jas, I reckon Ings will arrive in the next week or so. I have to be honest I really don't see the point in signing Ings. He's never going to be up to being long term cover cause he's just always injured, that's not going to improve as he gets older?! Personally I'd love to see us get that Boulaye Día lad who we've been in for last window. Looks like a great player with the kind of physical attributes needed to lead the line. Also looks like a few clubs are tracking him so maybe he's got more attractive options now? We need to start building this squad up, for me Ings doesn't especially help with that (long term) but time will tell ?
6.) 08 Jan 2024 10:25:43
Imagine if Ings is injured early days, would leave us paying big wages for no product. I'd steer clear and rely on Hobbs to find another young and hungry.
7.) 09 Jan 2024 13:43:09
Danny Ings not leaving now
8.) 09 Jan 2024 14:34:47
Rejoyce! I really don't think he was the solution to the problem.
9.) 09 Jan 2024 19:57:56
Personally I'd rather have Danny Ings and hope he doesn't get injured rather than have no striker at all.
10.) 09 Jan 2024 21:59:35
On his wages, Jas? Aren't we currently doing rather well with no striker at all? Summer is the real time for squad strengthening.
11.) 09 Jan 2024 22:30:01
Ings.!
Adams.!
Is costa still available if that's the best we can do.fgs.we need some1 with a bit of mobility.theyr dedlegs who don't suit our style atall.
12.) 09 Jan 2024 23:53:24
Old Wulf, if we can get him I'm on loan then that's ideal. He is a proven scorer at this level. I'm regards to his wages, if we are only contributing 50% of Silva, Sasa and Guedes wages whilst they are on loan, then this gives us capacity to pay 50% of Ings wages.
At the moment, we have let Sasa and Fabio, Hwang on International duty and Neto only just back from injury. That leaves Bellegarde and Cunha as our most attacking options unless we promoted Fraser and Gonzalez.
13.) 10 Jan 2024 11:40:07
Thing is Jas your argument of Ings is better than no one would be valid if it was 31st Jan. But it's not, if it's Ings or no one this early on (having already let two strikers go) then we have bigger problems than our strikers! I'm sure we have other irons in the fire, looks like it's academic anyway as I think injuries will make Ings unavailable anyway ?
14.) 10 Jan 2024 12:47:27
Buxwolf, not heard from you for a while. I've missed your little messages of joy.
31 Aug 2023 09:35:30
So it's £53m +10% sell on for nunes, and we're paying £4.5m for Doyle with 50% sell on. All round great deals.
1.) 31 Aug 2023 09:40:29
Abbeywolf good piece of business for Wolves don't need a player who doesn't want to be there and record transfer fee.
2.) 31 Aug 2023 10:05:29
I'm glad he's going i'll drive him to the Etihad myself.
3.) 31 Aug 2023 10:09:15
Congratulations to Hobbs.the boy done good!
From day 1, it has been clear Nunes was with us under duress and it was just a way in to the Premiership.
So now a win for him and good result for Wolves!
4.) 31 Aug 2023 10:44:49
I see the misfortune of KDB picking up a lengthy injury has made man City do the deal.
Fate eh?
5.) 31 Aug 2023 11:15:09
Do you think mathieus (he prefers to be called that apparently) will keep him out when he's fit again Phil? because in all honesty I don't think he'll keep up with cities tempo, unless we see him improve dramatically. Anyway he's gone we've made abit and we've got an exciting prospect in Doyle, ah he will.
6.) 31 Aug 2023 11:38:13
Glad to see the favourable comments above on this deal. Frankly, a few other fans could only see negativity yesterday, and I'm surprised at some of them. Obviously the Doyle option at £4.5mil is a gift to us. His real value must be about the Alex Scott level. My guess is that City wanted to save face after they threatened to walk away! In reality we have achieved our asking price for ungrateful Nunes because of the huge under-pricing of Doyle. Pity that some of us can't see that. I have to say well done to Hobbs. This may prove to be a good window. I guess the rumours about rumours that the club is for sale will now disappear.
7.) 31 Aug 2023 13:27:00
Todd Boehly pulled the plug on Diarra and Bellegarde deals.
8.) 31 Aug 2023 13:39:40
I don't see that Abbey KDB is the real deal.
Regarding hobbs yes agree but never mentioned its the club that has employed hobbs with the mandate set.
So imo our club should get some recognition too.
As our club our owners have been under extreme attack on these pages of late and lesser extent the last year or so.
As have always stated its results and performances that will change fans mindsets.
So hoping once transfer window is shut the emphasis on these pages is back predominately on the football our team play.
We going to have understandable blips in form like the majority of teams in the league but also I believe understandable good/excellent runs of form.
Of which will give fans the focus back we are a club in progression.
Onwards and upwards as others on their posts have stated.
FOREVER WOLVES ARE WE.
9.) 31 Aug 2023 14:51:41
Hi E can you shed light on your statement as a bit cryptic for me.
10.) 31 Aug 2023 15:27:37
Sorry but I don't see how this is agood deal losing nunes to city and pep who rates him and will obviously get the best out of him which we never did .doyle is a good deal but only if he proves to be upto the prem.wud pep let him go if he thut he was.and the nunes fee isa joke when palmer is going for a similar amount.we just saw a glimpse pf nines potential this ssn and now hav let him go.
11.) 31 Aug 2023 15:30:51
Perhaps E has changed allegiances MRV.
12.) 31 Aug 2023 16:13:50
Buxwolf, Super-sulk Nunes had downed tools and gone on strike. He would have ruined dressing room morale if he stayed. We should celebrate him going. He was never that interested for us last season anyway.
13.) 31 Aug 2023 17:05:02
Strasbourg are owned by Chelsea MRV
02 Nov 2022 09:38:57
Reported in telegraph today that loptigue (spell sorry) as come back to us this week and that we are working to sort out acceptable terms. Maybe we'll have an early Christmas presence?
1.) 02 Nov 2022 13:57:51
Christmas presence. It’s Jacob Marley’s ghost. Hahaha.
And people perhaps need to calm down on the Sellars and Shi hatred. It was clear to anyone with even a iota of intelligence that this was going to happen and that Julen only turned us down because of his Father’s health. And by us waiting it showed him that we clearly want him.
I think he will be announced in the coming week or two and will take over whilst the World Cup is on. Just a shame a chunk of our team will probably be in Qatar so he won’t be able to see the likes of Neves until after.
I also hope Steve gets some pats on the back. 4 points from 3 games really isn’t bad when you’ve never managed a team at senior level. Guy did better than Terry or Mick did.
2.) 02 Nov 2022 14:19:21
I feel like I have more than an iotas intelligence and I don't really understand this just being about his fathers health! Cause it just doesn't add up I'm afraid, well not unless something has drastically changed for him. His dad is 91 so even if he's improved not to sound harsh then that will only be a temporary situation. Also I would point out that this decision was as based on said health mere weeks ago?!
Then you say about us showing him we clearly wanted him, well how does that fit with our farily public approach for Beale just days after?! Not just a different manager but a manager at the complete opposite end of the experience spectrum no less!
Don't get me wrong I like your version of this, where the club was always entirely in control. The problem is that the timeline/reporting of this story doesn't support that notion in anyway at all?!
3.) 02 Nov 2022 14:36:06
He never did better than Mick and he has a team full of internationals where Mick might have had two or three.

Right then Fosun, we are waiting.
1.) 05 Dec 2024 07:04:16
Abbey.Mr Guangchang needs to act NOW. Change needed immediately in the Leadership of the Club.
2.) 05 Dec 2024 07:23:40
Well wonder what’s going to happen today or have we got to put up with this oh well I no the mrs wants some decorating done I’ll watch paint dry instead
3.) 05 Dec 2024 08:13:19
i have had a brilliant week wolves like they are wife has left me
4.) 05 Dec 2024 08:14:34
If they don't listen to the fans after last night it shows they just take us for granted.
70 years on from honved game that put wolves and European football on the map, encouraged supporters like me to follow and love the old gold
and were expected to buy the limited edition shirt whilst our club become a laughing stock.
30 Nov 2024 17:13:09
Back to page one in all respects. Everything GON said seems to have been empty promises. I'm not moaning about penalties given, Banks wasn't the best of refs but no excuses there, it was the lopsided performance that wasn't corrected early enough, the baffling sub of Totti, the back passing and lack of urgency that got me.
I'm afraid GON has again shown why he should be replaced . Who with? We can only hope Fosun have someone in mind. Self inflicted and lethargic. Now it's Everton away and I fear the rest of the Xmas fixtures. Such a disappointment today.
1.) 30 Nov 2024 17:22:43
Banks should've given our second pen call, Gomes was wiped out in the box. The inconsitancy is shocking.
2.) 30 Nov 2024 17:27:10
Up until today Abbey I have supported GON and genuinely believed he could turn things round for us but todays performance was totally unacceptable and unfortunately now believe his days are numbered. Let us remind ourselves Bournemouth are at best a mid table side.
3.) 30 Nov 2024 17:42:52
Well what a shambles
Anyone who thought we had turned a corner, think again, better get used to the fact. We're going down.
Too inconsistent, which gets teams relegated, unfortunately,
And that's a fact
Can't see us getting out of it
Feel so down.
4.) 30 Nov 2024 17:52:05
What a shambles. Architects of our own downfall comes to mind. I honestly can't think of anything positive to say about today's performance. This is O'Neils side and he has to take full responsibility for today's performance. I can't see how he can survive this.
5.) 30 Nov 2024 17:53:41
He’s gone, his days are numbered. Once the home crowd starts chanting at the gaffer, it’s time. He will do Everton, but he’ll either be gone before West Ham, or the hammers will be his last match
6.) 30 Nov 2024 18:04:53
That humble pie I ate last week has just come back up.
What a farce of a performance, we gave away penalties all because players were not playing in their positions, B, mouth dragged us al over the place.
I’m afraid come Everton game we may be looking to replace GON. The decision on subs and shape were not what was needed.
7.) 30 Nov 2024 18:17:15
GONs fantasy football has made relegation a reality.
Time's up.
8.) 30 Nov 2024 19:06:03
Always liked GON but beating a good side 4-1 away one week then losing 4-2 to a lower placed team at home is an inexplicable level of inconsistency. I was out all day so I haven't seen or heard anything about the game but judging from the comments, plus with the conceding of 3 penalties, it all sounded a bit chaotic.
Has GON been dealt a bad hand or is he not 'the one' after all. It may be both, but the Club may be forced to make the change to find out before it's too late.
9.) 30 Nov 2024 19:54:05
Longmynd I was hoping last week was to be the turning point and we'd kick on today, in fact I wasn't initially upset that he was starting the same team despite Dawson etc being available but it soon became clear that Totti and lemina wouldn't work against the faster bournmouth attack. Instead of having the gits to change it in the first half he left it to half time. Ok I thought well come out blazing, no, it was a laboured effort. Samedo seemed way off the norm, RAN was unable to get out. Totti in fact was doing the carrying forward then GON subbed him. Put lemina back with Dawson. I'll blame Sa for the 2nd pen, he just wasn't alert to the threat coming in on him, the third pen typified our play, a poor underhit back pass from Dawson caught him out, maybe you could say he was slow off his line but that ball didn't need to put him under pressure and that's what we did, misplaced overhit or back and sideways. The interest didn't seem to be there in some, the service not provided to others. Its harsh to lose to self inflicted given goals but we shouldn't have got ourselves in those positions. I'm afraid GON chose the team, he chose the subs and the timings. I can't imagine the line up for weds, semedos out suspended, I'd guess Sa won't be involved. Dawson and Bueno back but has Totti fallen out of the equation?
Up front will we see Hwang and sarabia? Or will young Lima get his chance? Pond is still awaiting his debut, maybe on the bench.
I can only see relegation now unless we miraculously pick up in December and I just can see it happening without any consistency.
10.) 30 Nov 2024 20:26:41
Thanks for the summary Abbey that seems to have gone pretty much as I expected, all sounds a bit chaotic. We know we have some talent in the squad but without organisation and commitment, it's not going to work.
That is, of course the Coach's job but this level of inconsistency is, as others have implied, disastrous. it's just not working is it?
11.) 30 Nov 2024 20:34:44
Toti was awful. As was Sa. In fact the only ones who can come away with any credit today are Joao Gomes, Guedes and Strand Larsen.
12.) 30 Nov 2024 21:06:49
I just don't know how Lopetegui got the defence sorted but GON has turned them into a laughing stock.
13.) 30 Nov 2024 21:41:12
The question is, who comes in to steady the boat?
19 Nov 2024 12:02:50
So it looks like Santi is out now, injured groin in the international break. Shame because I thought he'd come on well and was fitting in.
So, is it step up Alfie Pond? I personally have liked what I've seen about the lad, confidence and vision with decent distribution. Give him his chance, we may have the CB we've been craving.
1.) 19 Nov 2024 14:47:21
Surely Muepiyo is fit by now? When we signed they said he was out for 5 weeks?!
2.) 19 Nov 2024 15:57:19
He's over his injury but now needs match sharpness. Another few weeks they reckon.
3.) 19 Nov 2024 16:01:38
Wolves have asked for Santi to be released from the Uruguay squad so that he can return to Wolves early to try and recover from injury in time for the weekend
4.) 19 Nov 2024 17:30:35
Hi folkes now who would you like as our new manager if GON can’t turn it around
5.) 19 Nov 2024 18:01:13
Not Nuno, Dyche or Van Nistelrooy like you've previously suggested.
6.) 19 Nov 2024 18:25:15
Well who would you like I think moyes might be a good shout
7.) 19 Nov 2024 21:23:21
Bueno has been carrying an injury so it was amazing he left to go away. Dawson is also carrying a knock so hopefully the break does them well.
8.) 19 Nov 2024 22:40:47
KIDDYWOLF, the question is who would you appoint as you've narrowed your choices down to 4.
Personally, although I've been calling for GONs head, given recent performances, I'd stick with him as we seem to have a decent attack but he needs to be allowed to bring in a CB in January.
9.) 20 Nov 2024 09:10:23
Hope your right and in a way hope GON puts us doubters to shame but can’t see it to be honest but hey ho do hope we get 3 points the weekend
10.) 21 Nov 2024 11:28:10
Hi there how do you think we will get on Saturday
I do hope we get a result or poor old gary will be on his bike
11.) 21 Nov 2024 11:59:37
Hope for a win to be honest but Fulham are playing well at the moment like I said Southampton was terrible which made us look good but hope we get a result if not if the board don’t sack him we are in deep do do
12.) 21 Nov 2024 12:05:51
Anyway might annoy a few but moyes potter or nisteroy I’d be happy with if they get rid of GON
13.) 21 Nov 2024 17:01:15
Southampton were terrible or was it that we made them look terrible? It’s always the same comment after most of the games we’ve played this season. No one ever seems to recognise that it could be us making the other teams play badly. Southampton were so bad they didn’t have a shot on target, no credit for the fact that our players blocked most of their shots. But yeah let’s just keep saying its because Southampton were terrible.
14.) 21 Nov 2024 17:39:36
Hey goatmark1 your honest opinion would you stick with GON what do you think honestly
15.) 21 Nov 2024 19:22:42
Goatmark, Southampton were poor but believe me, apart from the goals, we weren't much better.
16.) 21 Nov 2024 21:59:37
It was often the case Goatmark that Wolves used to make the opposition look poor and our victories particularly against the 'top 6' sides were often denigrated by their fans and some observers claiming that's why we won, aka sour grapes.
However, we're a long way from those days right now and Southampton have been, as their league position suggests, no better than us so far this season, so to call them a poor performing side is accurate.
In truth, would we have scored those two goals, one so early and one stunner against better opposition because apart from the Crystal Palace fight back there's been little evidence of that likelihood in our performances to date?
I always believed we would beat Southampton but also that our next game will tell us a lot more about our likely future and probably GON's as well, I'm thinking a draw may be on the cards.
17.) 21 Nov 2024 23:07:30
Yes I would stick with GON, I believe the players still play for him so why change it, Especially given the length of his contract. I’d give him till Christmas at least to get out the relegation zone and have some improved performances. I’ll be honest I’m not convinced by him, when we lost the cup game to Ipswich last season I was dubious of some of his sub’s and tactics but I think he has enough about him to get us out of trouble. I don’t think a change would help us, unless it’s a very good manager that we bring in and I’m not sure we can afford one or one would come to us.
16 Nov 2024 07:32:04
Cont. a sense of humour. Ed002 will be sadly missed. RIP
{Ed001's Note - it is going to be strange not to have him there to ask about football finances. Plus he was particularly entertaining on our widget when he would come back from a night out with his wife and would post up pictures of her drunk! I am sure she wasn't as amused by those as we were though!}
1.) 16 Nov 2024 14:26:54
So sad to hear of Ed002s passing, he was so knowledgeable and often went that extra mile to answer questions too.
My thoughts are with the EDs on here and with ED002s family, he will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences to you Ed001, and I'm sorry to learn the sad, sad news. Although obviously I did not know Ed002 as a person, the responses, information and knowledge imparted did have a bearing on my own.

12 Nov 2024 11:22:06
Madman I'm liking what you say, and agree on everything. Conceiro (? Spelling) as been my tip all along.
30 Aug 2024 17:03:47
I still think we'll get a cb, maybe a surprise tho last minute. Tho no guarantees. We've been showing interest in several options but have either been rebuffed or moved on, so here's hoping.
29 Aug 2024 15:58:47
To be honest wolf123 I'd never heard of him. We've just signed the youngster bastien moutipedyu (excuse spelling)a cb but again a youngster, we'll be the teenage we ay wolfs
at this rate.
29 Aug 2024 14:38:57
According to WH site he's said he dosnt want to play for us and will not sign Wolf123. Not the attitude we want if true.
28 Aug 2024 17:28:45
Loan deal for dendonker being looked at apparently. Although Anderlecht are looking to reacquire him too.
Personally I wouldn't be sad to see him return.
06 Dec 2024 07:57:23
Let's be honest fosun have neglected the club since our European journey. They don't appear interested in anything other than financial matters and those 'shortfalls' are in part down to their own doings. I think they've misread the pull of the game off the pitch and, I maybe biased or blinkered here, the youth of today in their attachment to other things club related, ie fashions and Esports which havnt matched expected return to investment. This then dosnt help self sustainability. We've spent out on youngster who so far haven't made or been given the chance to perform in the first team bar Hugo bueno who we let out on loan, maybe get sold now for decent money but hasn't helped us on pitch.
GON surprisingly installed after the excitement of lost and subsequent walk out. Maybe on the cheap and the value now actually showing.
Chinese investment possibly curtailed and we find our selves witha an owner who will be hard to inspired or have means to fund a recovery.
I hope I'm wrong, I hope my limited knowledge is proved incorrect and that Fosun will show some gumption and allegiance to sort the mess out as much as GON needs to wake up stop the 'yea, no' I'm the man we'll try attitude to 'we will, we can' and I'll prove I'm the man. I can take defeat when we've obviously put in a shift and shown some desire. Lemina hinted at the mental attitudes not being rught, do these guys want to play as a team for wolves or individual paypackets?
Sorry I'm so down about things, but I worry, and can't make head nor tail of where my/our club is heading.
05 Dec 2024 17:17:39
Very good BB lol.
05 Dec 2024 14:51:17
Now GON is saying he's the man for the job. Interview this morning.
He's got some front ill give him that. He's understanding of the supporters unrest, he takes the blame, but says he dosnt know how many are upset because only the loudest are heard.
Now he says no one works harder than him. Maybe true but the end product isn't good enough.
Looks like we've got to tolerate the experience again on Monday guys, if we win does it change anything long term? We're in a dead end.
