Brace yourselves, £50 m offer for larsen refused from Newcastle. Testing the water I reckon, expect an Upped offer after their Liverpool game tonight and see if Jeff is still of the same mind. Something tells me he will of got the message from VP this time tho.
1.) 25 Aug 2025 16:13:25
??? Bore off with the anti Jeff rhetoric.
If Newcastle paid £65m for Larsen we would be mad not to sell.
Any club below top 6 would be tempted to sell for PSR reasons and the fact you have tripled the value.
Not saying we shouldn't have two decent replacements lined up.
But it didn't end well keeping Raul, Traore, Hwang longer than necessary.
2.) 25 Aug 2025 16:14:43
In two minds about this one. On the one hand we’re down if we sell him because we will have no way of scoring goals. On the other hand, if we can get 80 million for a player we just spent 25 on a month ago, that’s great business and, with correct buying is 3 or 4 new quality players . Also, Newcastle will only want him this summer and we don’t have enough time to replace him, so I really don’t know. But I just think at the end of the day, if we want to have a chance of anything this season, we have to keep Jorgen, even if that means turning down 100 million.
3.) 25 Aug 2025 17:02:18
Wolves have told Newcastle that they want a Cunha type fee (68m) for Larsen.
Newcastle not about to pay anywhere near that fee!
4.) 25 Aug 2025 17:06:56
Likeywolves Wolves won't sell unless 80 to 90mill are Newcastle going to of6 that much don't think so.
5.) 25 Aug 2025 17:34:31
Uche deal being hijacked by milan . It would be madnrss to sell JSL now. He's being offered a new contract- will he sign? All depends on the release clauses he/his agent want inserting first
6.) 25 Aug 2025 17:49:55
If they let him go and make 40-50m how much will they lose if VP walks and we go down? No guarantees either way, so either Fosun would be gambling big time, or taking the money before they run. Yes they'd have to find a buyer etc etc. But larsen going now would be irreplaceable, unless we've got someone up the sleeve, doubtful given the transfer success we've had so far, and we'd be surrendering the prem without a shout.
7.) 25 Aug 2025 18:07:48
If he's sold then only if someone else has signed on the dotted line first.
8.) 25 Aug 2025 19:01:26
£60 million would be an unbelievable price for JSL. Should be able to attract proven strikers with the money we are about to receive for Silva and hopefully Hwang. Hope Sasa is given a run out tomorrow night to see what he has to offer.
9.) 25 Aug 2025 20:03:02
Personally, I'd keep JSL, let Uche, Lopez and Arias get him a shed load of assists and then sell him for £100m in January with a ready made replacement lined up.
28 Jul 2025 09:27:40
Reports were interested in coufal, ex West ham, can't verify this but if true may give us right dided options at the back. Apparently he's without a club at the mo, which to be honest I find hard to believe or wonder why.
1.) 28 Jul 2025 10:57:22
He turns 33 next month. However, I believe he could still do a job. The best thing about him is he's a nasty piece of work to play against; a real master of the dark arts of football.
2.) 28 Jul 2025 11:22:19
Cause he's absolutely bang average and Potter didn't want him, which is why they replaced him with Walker Peters. Also why the fans reacted badly to the idea when we were tied with him a month back on social media, would represent a massive downgrade from Semedo if true!
3.) 28 Jul 2025 11:57:25
Not starting 11 for me though.
4.) 28 Jul 2025 12:29:16
I wouldn't bother with him However, Lima and Doc can play RB.
We just need cover at cb centrally and lcb.
Would sign another lwb though but think Bueno can step up. Plus we have Lopes, Toti and r Gomes who can play there.
5.) 28 Jul 2025 14:01:25
Conor Coady as cover anyone?
6.) 29 Jul 2025 06:43:28
How can we go from signing an exciting young player like Pubil to signing 33 year old has been?
7.) 29 Jul 2025 08:40:15
Desperation
01 Feb 2025 21:14:23
To top it all cunha as signed util 2029 with a release clause.
1.) 01 Feb 2025 23:50:23
Great news, to be honest I have no problem with release clauses as long as they are future proof/sensible. I actually think it can help a clubs negotiating position, as in that's the price take it or leave it. It's how Villa robbed City of £100m for Grealish ?
31 Dec 2024 10:05:15
Only 2 game ban for cunha, £80000 fine, will give him chance to recover from his niggles hamstring. Now we just need to keep him at the club.
1.) 31 Dec 2024 13:30:08
Makes me think more that something was said by that Ipswich staff to Cunha, be interesting to see if so what punishment Ipswich will get.
As rumours are he made a racial comment to Cunha and Alt Nori.
2.) 31 Dec 2024 16:28:33
Rated, I suspect that and your comment is the first that I've read or seen suggesting something along those lines. These kind of incidents don't just blow up out of nothing unless there is history between both parties. I'm unaware of any history, so I'm left thinking a racist or very personal remark is the possible likely reason.
3.) 31 Dec 2024 19:19:13
Let's be honest it takes something to prompt that reaction of cunha, he can't be the only guilty party. If it was a racist remark ipswich should be made an example of.
4.) 01 Jan 2025 14:20:22
Just be patient for the full report to be released, folks.
5.) 03 Jan 2025 07:50:03
According to the reporter in the Sun today Cunha should have had a 6 game ban and he’s used the example of someone attacking an emergency services officer and getting away with it.
Firstly, reporters should highlight which team they support as there’s usually some reason for their bias opinions and secondly, it’s The Sun so….
I too think something was said by the security guard to get that sort of reaction from Cunha. Hope it all comes out in the wash and Ipswich make an apology!

Deal agreed with Vitor according to Sky. welcome to the wolves Vitor.

Sad, VAR took so long to look at mosquiro arm, and then the ref to stick to his original decision that the added time cost us a goal anyway, but why no apparent lengthy look by VAR for a dangerous play in the scoring of the first goal? I think there was cause to slow it all down, replay it over, stop it, play it backwards pause, gesture to one another, then come to the obvious after minutes of delay to the game.
Seriously, VAR really isn't doing what it should be and can have indirect effect on the outcome of games.
I must give my sincere admiration to the ref for standing by his decision yesterday, abit more like that to undermind VAR on the right occasion would be welcome.
24 Jan 2026 13:24:46
What's the feeling for today's game? What line up should we be going with? It's the same starting team as Newcastle for me.
Obviously I want a win, or draw at best, being real how will we keep city out? So also being a realist would a 1-0 or 2-1 be acceptable given the circumstances.
I'll keep the faith though, and hang on to my dreams, a unexpected away win by an odd goal. (maybe literally).

1.) 24 Jan 2026 14:11:56
Abbeywolf must have a chance Haalands on the bench but so are Arokodare and Larsen playing Whang and Mane up front. Me I would drop Whang and play Arokodare or Larsen more of a goal threat.
2.) 24 Jan 2026 14:25:48
Already can see it is ultra defensive. Atleast have a go. We won’t be able to sit behind the ball for 90 mins and keep a clean sheet.
3.) 24 Jan 2026 14:25:53
Just seen the team, no JSL or Tolu if BBC have it correct. Over in US for work so trying to keep eye on it ??
4.) 24 Jan 2026 14:45:05
We are expected to lose but I think Man City have been a little disrespectful by keeping Haaland on the bench.
5.) 24 Jan 2026 14:46:26
Can't believe the team he has picked today, only strikers we have sitting in the bench. But playing Hwang of course, he must have some dirt on the management to get near the team. Last game he was poorest on the pitch, and still Rob picks him. Waste of time trying to park the bus against City.
6.) 24 Jan 2026 16:04:29
I know we are away at Man City but the team selection is baffling to play without Tolu upfront means the ball keeps coming back. To get out of the mess we are in we need to win football matches so to set up so defensively is disappointing.
Let’s hope he brings Tolu and Larsen on and push Mane up second half and let’s give it go what have we got to lose?
7.) 24 Jan 2026 17:05:26
Better second half but game was already gone. Be interesting to hear why Edwards started with Arias and Hwang who have proved continuously they offer no threat. Who would you rather mark at a set piece Tolu or Arias baffling decision. Well done to the ref though took some guts to go to the screen at the Etihad and not give a pen!
8.) 24 Jan 2026 17:07:52
Only listened on radio major Frank but the second half with both tulo and larsen on seemed to suddenly give us a threat, but Rigardo instead of jackson may have had a lot to do with it?
Mane sounded as if he was freer in the second too.
2-0 didn't flatter City and by the sound of it they could have Upped gear at any time.
VAR was never needed to look at the pen claim but the Ref finally used common sense in denying their penalty claim.
I've no real feeling after match, expected to lose and only 2 against a class team can't be too bad.
Downwards and then upwards.
9.) 24 Jan 2026 17:44:09
Baffling decision not to play tolu against gui
Or jsl tbh.
What u playing at rob
It doesn't give any positivity to the team even getting a draw or to us fans
Still don't think he's right for us
Hes certainly got a thing about hwang.
Must be related
10.) 24 Jan 2026 18:52:32
I think he was thinking we'd be able to thread balls between city's lines grelyleg, and that hwang (poor choice) Arias (unlikely) and mane (too deep) would run onto them. That wasn't going to happen with city closing in on gomez and Andre and Hugo/tchouchou not getting upfield.
Interestingly our biggest threat going forward seemed to be mosquiro in the first, and he proved a bigger goal threat in the second.
Tolu/ Larsen should have been the obvious starter before hwang/arias methinks.
12 Jan 2026 19:15:49
Banana skin or drawn lucky? Grimsby away next round of the FA cup.
A nice route to Wembly would be welcome away from the prem woes.
1.) 12 Jan 2026 20:37:33
Seem to remember many years ago we drew Grimsby away in the cup. Went 2- 0 down in first half. Came back and won 5- 2. We had a good team then.
07 Jan 2026 20:26:42
Get hwang off, a lot of running but under hit passes, backward looking and the opportunity he had was way off despite his appeal for a corner. I'd bring Wolfe on push Hugo up, get mane running through off tolu decoy.
We got to push earlier and get round em.
1.) 07 Jan 2026 21:43:04
Well what a save to deny Hugo? What a pass and goal from larsen/mane. Sad that we couldn't capitalise at the end and take three points, but my night was made by greasy boy getting his marching orders for being such a fool in his sarcasm.
Great effort and desire again, much to feel positive about but sooo frustrating at times with mis passing and playing back when we should be oicking forward into the box.
2 points lost or a point away, does it really matter now, we're worth watching again.
2.) 07 Jan 2026 22:02:12
Don’t ever play Larsen and Andre again. Tchatchoua seems scared and just does what he’s told by nearest players. If he’s got the speed of a winger then use it!
Hwang was good. Stupid hands on by Santi to lose us an opportunity.
Overall good play but we need to finish convincingly. Unbeaten in 2026 ?
3.) 07 Jan 2026 23:06:59
To me it seemed bringing Andre on changed the game and Larsen played the great ball to Mane for the goal. Admittedly he was slow and didn’t do much else but give him some credit.
4.) 08 Jan 2026 12:16:41
Maybe we should put Larson in midfield as that was a precision pass whereas he's poor upfront and jumps as though he's wearing shackles. Trouble is one swallow never makes a summer.
5.) 08 Jan 2026 12:56:54
Sorry, in the excitement of it all I hadn’t realised Larsen was the one who assisted Mane! I was hoping he’d get a goal himself as he’s been a let down. As you say Old Wulf he plays better in midfield.
Although it’s likely he’s on his way out. Well, he was until Mane starting getting all the attention!
A lot of running for Andre but gets too easily wound up. He needs to be careful.
13 Dec 2025 22:03:43
Well when you're down you're down, what a gut wrencher.
Full credit to them tonight, they fought, they wanted it and there was passion, yersons tears showed it.
Is that first game that arsenal havnt scored?
So unlucky, we've got to see that at the Mol next week, it won't be enough to save us but it's worth watching again. COYW.
02 Dec 2025 08:26:36
Very good all, brightens up the day for me, I've a feeling that we've had a few of their relatives playing for us before!
26 Nov 2025 19:51:49
Oh lor, hwang and XU selling shirts, I hope he proves the biz eventually but can't see him making the step up, not even in the championship. He's not related to Jeff in any way is he?.
20 Sep 2025 20:38:16
VP did not impress or inspire me one bit wandering, and his half time pantomime didn't seem to do a lot for the players. No leader, no common cause. We're going down.
01 Sep 2025 19:03:35
Its the desperation Tfig, after all this time we can't identify and pay for a scouted player. Hackney was inflated, but by not investing it may (will) cost us a lot more.
We're crumbling so fast now in so many ways, if VP can steady us now and get us on route he'll prove to be a miracle worker.
27 Aug 2025 16:54:40
See above rated, we're hoping to get Yolu from gent, big muscular top scorer in Belgium league last year. I think 60m+ will do it for larsen.
25 Jan 2026 17:08:22
Absolutely agree re Larsen major Frank, I noticed on m.o.day he was simply laughing as he got pushed about, I know that's abit of his character, but as you say he needs some hardening, (maybe not to fergusins level).
I think we've seen enough of hwang now, he's not worth 90 mins for the few decent things he'd give us.
I've mentioned it before but I really fancy Hugo infront of Wolfe on the left, I've seen him in the U21 and he can certainly fulfill a role going forward.
25 Jan 2026 15:14:04
That challenge on Andre certainly got mentioned on Wolves radio commentary Goodwhile, abit of pro job by the sound of it and should of been punished, also the shoving of larsen into the net was noticed VB, obviously the ref and VAR had eyes elsewhere.
Still abit puzzled at REs line up, we've nothing to really lose now so go out to entertain and give us a goal or so to celebrate. Maybe away at City isn't the time to do it?.
It'll be a more 'telling' game v bournmouth next week, hopefully we'll give em a game.
24 Jan 2026 18:52:32

24 Jan 2026 07:33:30
And should we beat City today it'll be 11 Marks, oh no I've been dreaming again.
Seriously we've been showing signs of improvement (couldn't really get any worse you're right) but a couple in might give us a little more,
Manes presence seems to lift the team alone
Said before, our target now is not to be bottom and to get more than 12 points.
