Wolves have registered their interest in re-signing Leander Dendoncker before the transfer window closes, sources have told Football Insider.

No thanks. He’s like the Evil Kenevil (spelling) wind up motorbike we had as kids in the 70s - lots of effort winding up but very disappointingly little movement!

2.) 28 Aug 2024 21:50:25
Andre signing should consign the Dendoncker rumour to the bin,

3.) 28 Aug 2024 22:22:55
Donk can also play centre back so may still be a good option, especially on loan with no fee.

4.) 28 Aug 2024 22:53:18
Dendoncker, no way. supposedly finalising the andre signing. wait for the fall thru again.

5.) 29 Aug 2024 02:19:53
Donk was a great servant love to see him back as a squad player and playing cb.
Don't touch midfield Donk. ?

6.) 29 Aug 2024 09:26:55
Not too sure about Andre
He's done very little since mysterious girl

7.) 29 Aug 2024 09:45:48
I like Dendoncker but signing a midfielder to play cb in a back four would be foolish. We need to start signing and playing players in their best positions, besides which we needed a decent cb BEFORE Kilman left by this point we are desperate for one!

8.) 29 Aug 2024 10:04:56
He can do a job for us.

9.) 29 Aug 2024 10:21:50
Still not forgiven him for the penalty at wembley so no way

10.) 29 Aug 2024 15:07:25
The penalty that wasn't a penalty Buxwolf. The ref lost control that day.

I have a friend who rents out some nice properties and has had lots of wolves players and management over the last few seasons, he told me fabio has been to look at one this week. Not sure if that means we are keeping him hear this season or weather fabio himself doest know yet and is just covering bases

Deadline Day Despair

The clock ticks down, the window fades,
No fresh arrivals, no deals made.
The fans all watch with growing dread,
As hopes of signings lie there—dead.

The rivals strengthen, plan, and buy,
While we just sit and wonder why.
Fosun’s purse stays locked up tight,
No war chest now, no funds in sight.

The gaffer pleads, the squad looks thin,
A season’s scrap we’re deeply in
No striker in, no midfield steel,
A relegation fight feels very real.

Yet in the stands, the faithful stay,
Through darkest nights and bleakest days.

Offer accepted for djiga

So things are moving

2.) 03 Feb 2025 13:05:57
Nice one CB73 keep 'em coming.

3.) 03 Feb 2025 14:27:52
Long you have a rival! CB73 well done sir v good poem!

Of course I knew nothing about either of them until today and my knowledge is still restricted to a cursory glance through the internet and other people's, (presumably equally uninformed), views. But I am, hopefully not totally unjustifiably, optimistic re Djiga who sounds as if he might be a real prospect, although shame right footed as when Yerson returns we will be v unbalanced with only Toti on the left.
However perhaps unfairly I am not so certain re the Zimbabwean as he appears to be another slow Traore. He apparently works very hard, puts in a fair few tackles but looks like Bambi on ice with a ball at his feet! Plus we already have 5 or possibly 6 CMs if you count Bellegarde and, if he doesn't leave today, Lemina (who until 12 months ago was one of the best CMs in the Premier league!)
However we don't have a single WF or 10 to play alongside Cunha?

4.) 03 Feb 2025 15:01:50
The more the merrier TFIOG, but on these two potential signings like you I've never heard of either or of our interest until recently. I like the sound of Djiga, ability, height, age, etc but I agree why do we need another midfielder who doesn't appear to be any better than what we have? maybe he's a bit more experienced is all.

Maybe VP just wants to build a spine and improve our defensive capabilities, which includes the defensive midfield then assuming we stay up as a result, focus more on the attack in the summer. By then Cunha's future may become clearer.

5.) 03 Feb 2025 23:43:42
Djiga has played left back so could presumably play on left of a 3, just because he's right footed doesn't mean he couldn't play there. Also he may actually be good with both feet but has right as his preferred.

Thought i would share my limerick.

At wolves there's a player called Cunhua,

Whose temper is fiery as thunder

He ripped off the specs
From an Ipswich lad's head

And left him to ponder the blunder

Hi everyone, just a quick question does anyone know if season ticket holders get the £25.00 wolves cash that we used to get, or did they stop this with the free gifts
Can't see it in my account

I know we are only 7 games in but we seem to be in big trouble. People talk about relegation fights, but I honestly don't think this team has got it in them to scrap it out.

If I'm clinging on to a glimmer of hope, I would say two quality centre backs in January and we might just turn it around. I'm not optimistic about quality defenders coming in.

CB73

1.) 06 Oct 2024 17:07:44
I’d imagine it’s a lot easier than finding good strikers in January CB73. We have enough goal shooters now, seem to always look at midfielders but overlook defenders don’t know why?

2.) 06 Oct 2024 18:54:00
I agree, remember the good times from a few seasons ago days 5 at the back pace in attack, I just watched a clip man city 0 wolves 2.
2 counter attack goals scored by adama

3.) 07 Oct 2024 07:02:25
I’d like to think we’re just having our bad spell of the season and the best is yet to come! UTW ?

I'm not sure about how other long term supporters generally feel about the last few seasons.

I'm a season ticket holder of many years and seem to be losing interest, I have no excitement on match day mornings and to be honest sometimes it's a bit of a chore to go.

I'm just not enjoying the games or overall experience anymore, I'm not sure what it is, I don't think it's because we aren't winning Iv just started to feel the club has no identity and are directionless, I meet my daughter on match days to have a beer and watch the match, which seems to be the ony plus for myself.

I think I will seriously consider renewing next year. Although I have said this for the previous couple!

How do others generally feel?

CB73

1.) 28 Sep 2024 11:49:47
Hi CB73 I have been a Wolves supporter for many many years. I am 75 years young and am losing interest in the game. It seems to me that money talks and the more money you have the better the team. I cannot remember us ever having 1 point from 5 games and it might be 6 after today. Wolves don’t appear to want to improve, if so why are they selling our best players? I do feel sorry for GON and I don’t believe he is happy about Wolves position and the players at his disposal. I think he is tactics are a bit naive but he is doing his best. It is a shame Wolves supporters who go to every game and expect more from Wolves. I truly hope Wolves improve and start winning but I am now losing interest.

2.) 28 Sep 2024 11:56:12
Feels like we are treated as just a number these days CB73.

3.) 28 Sep 2024 12:17:44
Melo I agree with your sentiments although the points game ratio is bad, on an earlier post someone asked how many points did we think we'd get from 6 games, the majority said 4 I believe. Win tonight (?) and that'll be what most expected. Do you think we'd happy with that? )beating Liverpool aside). Money has ruined competition and we'll always struggle. It enhances the victory when we beat the big spenders tho. So sweet after the man city win last year, but it dosnt propel us any further. I think that's why (withoutVAR) the championship isa great leveller.

4.) 28 Sep 2024 12:27:22
I can echo those sentiments and I have supported the ciub for the last 62 years, through thick and thin.
Club identity is so important and it seems to be evaporating with every passing season. The pleasure of watching the club compete with every possibility of securing a decent result has long since gone with all the money that a select few seem to have at their disposal, no longer a level playing field so we will always be picking up the crumbs.
Very difficult to maintain an interest but also difficult to let go.

5.) 28 Sep 2024 13:19:16
Football in general is taking advantage of the fans.

Soon, the regular, local fans will be priced out of attending games and more and more emphasis will be on Overseas fans getting a ticket as part of a package deal.

Man Utd do this and have done for years. I never thought it would pass onto all PL clubs but it seems to have done.

6.) 28 Sep 2024 19:04:47
My experience of trying to get a season ticket was similar CB73. You have to be a member to be on the waiting list which came about once Wolves had returned to the Premier League.

I couldn't have a season ticket prior to this time due to my business was motorsport related which called for me to be at a variety of top level motorcycle racing events every weekend plus my son raced as well.

Once I became free of those commitments I thought it might be nice to begin watching Wolves live again. Every year for five years they would send me a membership renewal reminder and every year I would ask what my position was on the waiting list. For the first 2-3 years they would tell me they couldn't find me on the list so I would send them email evidence to the contrary, they would then suddenly find me.

Every year for 5 years my position on the list didn't seem to move so I concluded that there was not a central list and by the time they would get to offer me one I'd be too old to accept it and hundreds out of pocket. I cancelled my Membership after hearing people who hadn't renewed were still offered season tickets, the season after.

I thought we wanted 10mil ish for podence? He was there key man last season and we should hold out for more or put a good sell on clause in the contract

With sasa and fabio gone, we must be close to geting a striker in. I know they hardly played but it was two bodies on the bench, in a small squad.
With players away and gomez missing 3 we need cover if we pick up a couple of injuries we could find it difficult to win games

Man City are expected to pay €55m (£47.3m) up front for Matheus Nunes; City youngster Tommy Doyle will go to Wolves on an initial loan with a £4.3m (€5m) option and a significant sell-on clause; Chelsea have inquired over signing Cole Palmer from City

Maybe the price increase in the tickets to " match clubs in our situation" hasn't helped, iv have had my season ticket for 15 years and with heavy heart have decided to not renew, my self and my 18 year old daughter in the northbank is nearly £1, 500 (£162 a month for 9months) I just can't justify that with the cost of living

Wd don't know the ins and outs of cunhas new contract but there is a 60 mil release clause. I guess what will happen is we will get to the end of the season and multiple clubs will offer the release fee and he will leave

Danso stayed earlier in the window he had no interest in coming to the club. We have been here before forcing through a sale for someone who doest want to be here who will Want out if his head is turned.
We need the ride type of player to come in and want to scrap it out, lones, frees it doest matter just need to get over the line. I'm sure the last thing fosun want is relegation this may have been a big learning curve for them, and hopefully a change of directors etc

We don't know if he will sign but highly unlikely. Some of my thoughts

Recent Form: Wolves have struggled with consistency this season. Despite creating many scoring opportunities, Wolves are unable to capitalize, highlighting issues in converting chances.

Managerial Changes: The club appointed Vítor Pereira as the new head coach after dismissing Gary O'Neil. Pereira, known for his passionate approach, has managed 14 clubs across eight countries in 20 years, bringing a wealth of experience but also a reputation for volatility.

Defensive Struggles: Defensively, Wolves have been vulnerable, conceding an average of 2.29 goals per match, one of the highest in the league.

Offensive Challenges: Offensively, the team averages 1.48 goals per match, indicating a need for greater attacking efficiency.
