I see the fan groups have sent an open letter to Fosun
Very interesting reading, also some of the groups involved traditionally ones like always wolves have defended fosun and Jeff but not now.
Would be good if something came of it, organised protests would be the next logical step

Defended the defenceless, this has been 5 or 6 years in the making, they must've all been too pre - occupied watching games through their cameras to notice what's happening on the pitch and interviewing disappointed fans outside Molineux, must be getting serious, Fosun will be losing them their followers and subscribers.

04 Nov 2025 13:59:16
Does anyone know the letters’ content?

04 Nov 2025 14:15:26
Try the Express and Star sport website with the heading 'Wolves fan groups pen open letter .', everything is there.

04 Nov 2025 14:54:50
Have a look on news now bos there’s a few bits on there where you can read it in full

04 Nov 2025 16:44:47
It's on 'X'

04 Nov 2025 17:24:51
Thanks all!

Morning all fellow sufferers, what will today bring, GON not happening which is a relief to me at least. Ten Hag and Rob Edwards seem to be the favourites now, not sure about either to be honest. It does seem that it is more likely to be who will take the job, do Fosun think we can still survive this year, or, which I doubt, are they planning for the championship?
If they are hoping to survive in the PL you would have thought they would go all out for the best manager they can get, who that is, and if they will come I have no idea.

Us Wolves fans need some better times, not sure if that is likely at the moment, see Jeff just carries on, ridiculous.

Whoever drove the decision to even contact GoN should also be removed from the club. Shambolic to say the least.

04 Nov 2025 11:33:20
With GON turning us down it really sends a clear message to any other candidates, who, if they were considering the job offer must now be reconsidering. Could be that the club may have difficulty appointing anyone who values their reputation so we are once again the laughing stock.

I can only imagine that they may be able to make an appointment on a short term contract with big payment up front and release clause built in. What a joke we are becoming.

04 Nov 2025 11:36:28
Regardless of what we think Ten Haag sees himself as an elite manager so why would he come to Wolves for a relegation battle personally my thoughts he’s not taking the job.

Wolves need to win at least 12/13 games out of the remaining 28 who on here sees that happening, I’d love to think we can but I think the writings on the wall sadly

04 Nov 2025 11:58:05
Maybe Robbie Keane will add the spark we need? Seems to be the only one interested and highly praised by Matt Murray.

04 Nov 2025 12:33:02
I am starting to think Robbie may be a decent shout, from his point of view not 100% sure it would be a good move.

04 Nov 2025 12:45:04
Probably a case of beggars can't be choosers now.

04 Nov 2025 12:53:03
Whoever becomes manager I think it will be a holding situation until the end of the season. I understand opposition to Allardice but at least he is a Wolves fan and vastly experienced. He may not play the football that the fans crave but survival is most important and failing that preparation for the future, so what about Allardice and Robbie Keane. Allardice goes at the end of the season and Keane becomes manager with Coady as assistant.

Coady can use the remainder of this season to prepare. At least we would have some passion for the club going forward. Whilst this plays out keep pressure on Fosun to sort themselves out or pass the baton on. The fans have a role in keeping the pressure on. Well it's a plan and I don't hear another one.

04 Nov 2025 13:48:39
Don't think Cody will be back while Jeff's here mikebayleaf, but I get what your saying.

GON 'turning us down' is abit misleading I think, he most probably saw what was being said about his possible appointment and got the message.

I no nothing of Robbie keane's management style, heard he likes attacking style of play, a possible if others reject us.

My preference at this time would be Rob Edwards, if Middlesbrough would accept a fee. He'd be an ideal man to prepare us for the championship when the almost inevitable happens, although his ambitions and allegiance may keep him up north.

Ten hag is an interesting option although he's just been sacked by Ajax I believe, so up for a relegation fight?

04 Nov 2025 14:23:59
I think you're right about GoN Abbey.

Edwards appears to have ruled himself out, but the likelihood is if he keeps up his Boro record they will swap places with us.

Ten Hag was sacked by Leverkusen. I'm not sure what his motivation to come to us would be, but right now beggars can't be choosers.

I expect it may be Keane to try and spin some kind of positive out of a dire situation, or it will be someone we have to Google - like when Zenga came it.

I read somewhere Fosun had a plan of creating something special. Nine years on since buying Wolves in 2016 where are we? Certainly not going forward.

04 Nov 2025 04:59:23
Ah yes Lindsay, 50000 seater stadium, competing with Man City and Chelsea I remember Teflon Jeff’s interview very well.

04 Nov 2025 07:24:26
The sad thing is that we were going towards those possibilities with nuno and the squad and players we were attracting, money grabbing non football business men (man) thought they knew better, failed and now we are more of a burden to them than a project of any sort.
They don't care about Wolverhampton wanderers.

04 Nov 2025 12:24:33
An ex neighbour of mine who I see occasionally told me that Fosun went off the idea of developing us into a top force when Wolverhampton council refused permission for them to build the new 50000 seat stadium at the i54 site due to concerns from various quarters and reluctance from many (including fans) to move away from molineux.

I have absolutely no idea if this is true but just passing on what I was told. My ex neighbour is reasonably knowledgeable and sensible about most things so there could be something in it….?

04 Nov 2025 13:14:00
We will be lucky to fill a 5, 000 seater stadium very soon, let alone 50, 000

04 Nov 2025 13:31:21
Good post Abbey

03 Nov 2025 23:17:14
Way things are going Shi will be manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2025 22:44:36
It's nothing short of embarrassing. Why was a Manager who was sacked because of poor football and results installed as Jeff's number 1 to take over. I struggling for words guys

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2025 19:46:17
I would love Robbie keane to be given a chance he's done a great job so far in he's short managerial career give him a go if we go down stick with him and back him he's one of our own he's one of our own Robbie keane he's one of our own

03 Nov 2025 19:56:00
A bit like .Keith Andrews.what happened to him?

03 Nov 2025 20:34:33
QS mate Andrews is manager of Brentford doing a decent job too tbf.

03 Nov 2025 20:41:00
Andrews was only the set piece coach Robbie has already won a title with macabi tel aviv and he's doing well with he's current team also

03 Nov 2025 20:50:44
Robbie would be a refreshing and bold move, I wouldn’t be against it. But I don’t like to be the bearer of bad news; we’re going down and only a miracle can save us….let’s have a adventure for the remainder of the season and give Big Sam that chance he should have had all those years ago and at least someone who cares will be in charge for a while at least.

03 Nov 2025 21:35:04
I'm slowly coming round to Allardyce until the end of season on a stay up bonus.

03 Nov 2025 22:31:23
Jesus christ gents get a grip! Allardyce is 71 and hasn't worked for almost three years! Add to that his last two jobs were clubs in a FAR better place than we currently are and in both cases they were relegated! If Allardyce is the best we can do then give Gary a call and see if he'll change his mind! Let's just hope the club have slightly more ambition than that! 🤣

04 Nov 2025 07:37:45
It’ll be Robbie Keane or Rob Edwards if media are to be believed, still think Big Sam’s press conferences would be more entertaining than the games until we go down.

04 Nov 2025 08:00:25
Keane has won a title with Macabi Tel Aviv, let’s be honest they are the top team in Israel. The league they play in is the equivalent of league one

04 Nov 2025 11:24:23
BB I'm afraid that he may well be the best that we can do (sorry to say it). I'm afraid I lack confidence that any of the names mentioned so far will take the job when it comes to signing on the dotted line, and if they did we all realise that it's one hell of a job to turn this football club around. We didn't get into this mess overnight, it's been 4 years in the making and the short term priority is to stay up, mid term stabilise in whatever division we find ourselves and longer term to push forward again from there.

We probably won't find a manager to take all that on so it may be best short term to take someone with bottom of the table experience. That's my thoughts.

04 Nov 2025 12:27:14
And managing Ferencvaros in Hungary is a bit like managing Celtic in Scotland.

03 Nov 2025 19:30:05
O'NEIL Has pulled out of the running for the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2025 19:32:17
Phew. That was close

03 Nov 2025 19:38:57
Thank God

03 Nov 2025 19:41:02
Good thank god

03 Nov 2025 19:51:14
There is a God, thoroughly depressed most of today with the thought of going from bad to worse.

03 Nov 2025 20:11:13
Shame that. Not!

04 Nov 2025 04:05:45
Ahh. Just up in the middle of night, couldn't sleep and I find out that GONs not getting the job.
One worry over now if I could just hear that Rachael Reeves was going to leave pensioners alone.

03 Nov 2025 18:36:12
I think this GON return story will die out following the outpouring of a frankly ragingly negative reaction from the fans on social media and forums like this.

It would be a quick, lazy and cheap appointment but I don't think even Shi/Fosun would risk the total alienation of the paying fanbase. Plus, why would GON want to face that as a Coach/Manager.

Having said that I wouldn't mind GON as a No2 alongside someone more experienced in this league.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2025 18:50:39
I hope/think your right Long becuae the idea of having him back seems genuinely cruel. Cruel for him and cruel for us fans!
I also don't think this idea of him being No 2 works either. Remember he's worked with most this squad as a manager and failed, in particular lacking the discipline required.

If he was looking to do it at a club he hadn't been to before then fine, but somewhere you worked less than a year before in a different role is frankly laughable as even a concept to be honest! 👍

03 Nov 2025 19:18:45
Disagree with that last point longmynd I personally don't think GON should be near us again, he hasn't done anything since he left bar offer comments on tv and his return would only open up old wounds with players and other staff.
We need a fresh re-start that everyone can get on board with.

03 Nov 2025 19:27:33
Agreed LongmyndWolf, the ONLY positive regards to GON is that he is the only candidate that desperately WANTS the job!

03 Nov 2025 19:33:12
How's about Solskjaer and Carrick who worked well together at Man Utd?
Premiership experience with good track record at Old Trafford.
Young approach and good affinity with players especially Ole with Strand Larsen who he may well be able to rejuvenate.

03 Nov 2025 23:06:24
Seems fan voice might register after all!
. With such an outcry from us for no GON return, and I gather staff and team far from keen either, it would gave been a disaster.
Agree with you Abbey, even as a No 2 or anywhere near would have been a very bad move.

Fan and staff reaction probably a big factor in GON withdrawing.
Perhaps fan voice might even get rid of shi!
Or is that a dream too far

03 Nov 2025 15:59:46
We need to gather outside the mol and training ground and protest loud and proud to try to stop them bring O'Neil back. If they appoint him I as a season ticket holder of many years will tear up my ticket immediately and post the bit to Shi, never been so angry in my life.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2025 16:30:21
Not easy to tear up plastic cards, Jimmy.

03 Nov 2025 16:33:47
Need to gather outside molineux or training ground and protest we don’t want GON back if they appoint him they can kiss my backside

03 Nov 2025 17:25:07
Is this the same Gary O’Neil who Jeff Shi openly said last week he should have sacked him sooner? The same Gary who not only lost a string of games but also lost the dressing AND the fans.
Fosun are working hard on making our once great club a complete laughing stock. We are rapidly becoming a complete embarrassment

03 Nov 2025 18:27:54
I can’t believe there is one true Wolves supporter who would welcome GON back as manager. Some people must have the memory of a goldfish.

03 Nov 2025 19:15:00
Fosun are basically taking the p**s out of us fans.
