So now it's being suggested that WW are in preliminary talks with De Rossi to succeed Periera. This with 9 games of the season left to save our skins. Have Fosun gone nuts and don't believe in the merit of having some stability through to at least, survival.

I thinks it's an April Fools joke.

2.) 01 Apr 2025 23:50:36
Keen has said the rumours are false.

3.) 06 Apr 2025 17:50:42
Blimey Mike, you've fallen for that April fool hook, line and sinker.

Done and dusted, the bottom three probably need 5 wins or better to catch us now and they haven't done that this season so far.

Agreed mikebayleaf 1, let’s just enjoy the rest of the season now and look forward to a possibly exciting summer window!

2.) 02 Apr 2025 09:59:53
There's more than three teams worse than Wolves in the Premier League. We are better than our league position indicates. Some reports suggest that we are more of an integrated team without Cunha.
We have proved the overpaid pundits wrong, we can and are picking up points without Cunha. VP has been a breath of fresh air. I'm looking forward to next season.

3.) 02 Apr 2025 12:00:46
I'll wait until it is mathematically impossible to get caught

4.) 02 Apr 2025 13:16:21
I doubt if VP is waiting until we are mathematically safe. He will be drawing up his summer transfer plans right now.

5.) 02 Apr 2025 13:33:52
Probably correct Deep, IMO Cunha is best in a free role, if you've got a good cohesive other 10 then that's the icing on the cake. However a top champions league side could play as a 10 but we're not at that level. GON may have been hinting at this when he spoke about Cunha having to mark Rodri (I think) last season In the man city win and hinting that it was a little alien to him. Maybe Mattheus hasn't always been clear of his team responsibilities outside of possession.

So, if the rumours are to be believe WW are about to denude their squad again the summer. Cunha going to whichever top six club will have him, Gomes (Joao) off to Liverpool -done deal, Guedes off back to Spain, Semedo probably leaving because he's paid too much and likewise Sarabia. Think I'd rather take relegation this season than wait for a depressing winter.

Wish I shared your confidence lostcity, it won't be a walk in the park in any way. I've feared this game more than the others coming up as this could beca turning point for us, we could go 9 clear if other results go as would be expected, but we're good at shooting ourselves in the foot. We've had abit of luck results wise over the last couple of weekends, now we've got to take things into our own hands.
Southampton showed their fight at Liverpool and we've got to have that attitude at St.marys today.
I hope your right, I'd like to think we'd get 2 or 3 on the score card but wouldn't be surprised at a draw or heaven forbid defeat.
I believe we can do it if we apply ourselves as we can, I believe VP will have his plan I just hope come 5 o'clock were happy.

2.) 15 Mar 2025 09:13:40
In all honesty I sometimes struggle to remember who does play for us mikebayleaf1 they come and go so often these days and that's just the Managers, lol.

Seriously, the longest you can expect to watch our best players these days is probably 2 seasons because of our transfer policy. It might make money for Fosun or rather help them to avoid spending any but it's never going to achieve anything better than a bottom half existence.

Fosun are trying to claw money back to help the group reduce it's debts so we may have to suffer this for another year or two,

3.) 15 Mar 2025 10:05:47
Firstly Mikebayleaf 1, don't believe everything you read. Secondly would losing Guedes, Sarabia and Semado be a huge loss?
IMO humble opinion we have adequate replacements already in Lima, R Gomes and no doubt Wolves will be looking to add to the squad in the summer. Who knows what transfer budget will be available if Cuhna and Gomes leave, oh and don't forget RAN also linked with Liverpool @ £40Mill, but again we have a great replacement in H Bueno. Yes it's frustrating to see our best players linked to other clubs, but most of it is rag journalists speculation. Even if it's true we have decent options already and remember there's always another Cuhna or Gomes out there.

4.) 15 Mar 2025 10:28:21
We don't seem to have a project any more, apart from scraping survival in the prem. No aims for Europe or challenging the elite. If we wanted to then retention and building on the quality players would be essential. It's obvious that Fosun have given up on us, and it'll be the manager merry go round again soon I betcha.
Of course VP could stay bring in unknowns and build the squad into contenders but that is fantasy football to me.
Whatever, I'd rather struggle in the prem than the championship with the likes of the tesco bags.

5.) 15 Mar 2025 17:57:28
Our problem is we hardly have any home grown players. Look at the under 21s, well down their league and not one player that you can say he's going to be a good one. Unfortunately same goes for the under 18s, their results are mediocre at best. We are far from a rich club so will always have this problem of buying players and selling at a profit to balance the books. The same goes for most clubs with a smaller can base.

6.) 15 Mar 2025 20:29:21
Don't disregard this managers ability to find some gems from the foreign market. We will stay up, well our best assets and buy some really good replacements . This gaffer means business an I can't wait to see what happens next year . Utw

7.) 16 Mar 2025 15:58:16
Totally agree Spiderwolf UTW ?⚽️

Realistically it's 3 from 5 to go down given the fixtures it needs a miracle but has done for sometime. If someone can find some optimism I am full of admiration. For me it has been inevitable for some months.

1.) 18 Jan 2025 17:17:23
I agree Mike, this team needs a complete turnaround in performance which needs to be maintained until the end of the season and I just don't see it happening. Regardless of new arrivals who will need time to settle in the manager has a real battle on his hands getting this squad to perform consistently.

2.) 18 Jan 2025 18:26:59
Well I'm going for ptimism Mike and derry. We've got the next set of games where any points can be seen as a bonus, and I think we'll get some. If we look back at Newcastle we created enough chances to have won the game, not for the first time either. We didn't have cunha or samedo to begin with, then there was hwang being a liability.
OK the defence was atrocious granted and cost us the game, but I fully believe that with agabadu now having some time to adjust and with some frank talking to they'll tighten up.
Not saying things will go hunky dory, well be inand out of the drop, but we'll have enough to get survival in the end I think.
As someone said below, true fans have got to get behind the lads and not give up hope.
Keep the faith. COYW

3.) 18 Jan 2025 20:40:53
Doesnt look good tho when bournemouth go to newcastle and bury them.with a fwd who takes his chances.makes our result look even worse and bmouth top6 along with forest.something really wrong at our club i'm afraid

4.) 19 Jan 2025 07:24:44
Don't like to admit it Bux but Bournemouth are a class apart from us at the moment. You've conveniently overlooked Newcastle's 8 game winning run and, but for poor finishing, we'd have got something out of the game and the Forest one beforehand.Things are obviously bad but thankfully they are also bad at 4 other clubs.

5.) 19 Jan 2025 07:34:54
That's true bux, but bournmouth aren't playing with the fear of the drop around their necks. Also and here is the common problem with us, their defence is organised, whereas ours is lacking. Sometimes our forwards are trying to be too precise instead of unafraid to miss. As VP keeps reiterating into a mantra, confidence confidence for sure.

Judging by his farewell message he clearly didn't ever see himself as a Wolves player. Like with Saudi probably just taking the dollar. Well IMO we are better off without him. Have a nice time in the free society you are going to. Worth every penny I suspect.

Dendonker would give flexibilty at the back and in midfield. Never let WW down IMO and when he played we rarely lost. I'm in for this one but if true it shows desperation.

Never mind at Ipswich games, do we have to see Ed Sheeran at all.

mikebayleaf 1

{Ed001's Note - very good point. At least we don't have to listen to him sing at the games though!}
