With a new managerial era dawning I'm confident things can improve at least a little bit. But with it likely we do go down I do think it's quite fun to think about: what do you think is the Wolves best XI across the current PL era?

Looking back the players we had during promotion season and PL it makes me depressed haha. A list of some of the players we had in that time and now looking at our current squad how many players would you add to that list? Maybe 4.

Hard to disagree with that list, but I think two players are missing who deserve a special mention.

John Ruddy signed on a free and a vital part of the promotion winning squad. Was unlucky to lose his place to Rui.

Ryan Bennet also signed on a free and was a key part of the back line for a few years. Personally I believe he was underrated at times and don't feel he was ever adequately replaced.

Basically the Nuno team with a couple of additions.
Only J Gomes and a goalie (because Wolves have only had 3 in the Prem period), from the current squad even make the bench. Andre unlucky as CM is such a strong position for Wolves.

Our Academy and under 21s leaves a lot to be desired. Those should e our future and have the best coaches available. They seem to sign decent young enough talent and they just stagnate. Some occasionally seem to break through and sit on the bench, then back to kicking their heels.

So, the implied chance of avoiding relegation is roughly 70-75%,

we lost lost key players in the summer and i think we are in a worse situation than last year.

Taking into account things like injuries, managerial issues or poor transfer business in January this could push that lower, Survival will likely depend on improved form, key results, and avoiding long losing streaks.
Which i can't see happening

Therefore at the moment its 50/50 with the percentage dropping lower every hlgame with out points

The odds you have quoted are imaginary, CB. Current odds for relegation are 1/7, which in layman's language means that in every 8 seasons from our current position the bookmakers assess that we'll be relegated 7 times. So the implied chance of relegation is 87.5% and that of staying up is 12.5%.

Yes old wulf I saw some 'official' AI computer crunched analysis on Sunday that basically suggested we were 90% certain to go down.

Of course whilst there's a chance there's hope, but we've got to want to do it, play like we want to do it. Give these foreign lads the incentive Mr.Shi (cash) because I don't think the clubs name and standing is enough of an incentive alone.

If we survive with 2 points from 11 games as it currently stands it will be a first. So I would say once in 33 seasons is 3% so 97% we are down.

I see that Simon Jordan has said that he hopes Wolves are relegated. He has also made derogatory comments with regard to RE/Wolves.
Who actually “gives a monkeys” what he thinks?
He should stick his opinions where “the sun doesn’t shine” given given his overwhelming success (not) as owner at Crystal Palace!

Unfortunately Oxleymoorwolf he's on Talk Crap, and he just likes the sound of his own voice. He's a legend but only in his own mind. I don't listen to it at all now. One of the presenters says something controversial, the other one disagrees and they get gullible listeners to phone in.

Good work if you can get it. Jordan's just a failed, bitter ex chairman who for whatever reason has managed to find a platform to voice his personal views.

Respect this morning on armistice day maybe longmynd, I'd have thought the PR would have been done by now, I noticed wolves online have got 40% of shirts today, dunno if that was supposedly to tie in with any announcements.
But the sports report I heard this morning was it was imminent today.
