16 of those players were with us during the Nuno era. I am just stating that we have gotten weaker every season since. We have had a few good players here and there but the owners direction has completely changed.

Nuno days players and a few just after Nuno would piss over this team.
Look at the players that we have had and now look. There are only probably 5 players of the current team who I would add to that list of good players. Andre, Gomes, R.Gomes, Larson, Yerson

the thing with a press is you have to get it right otherwise you are left short. I have noticed a few times some players press and others don't or the timing is slightly off. When this happens the other team will just go right through you. I think we really to focus on defence as it is awful. Aa lot of it is organisation and being aware of players making runs. Especially the target men.

we made Everton look good. Giving the ball away far to easily and not doing simple things like tracking runs and being able to pass to another Wolves player. Certain players should have been dropped due to recent performances

When we was in the Championship we got a good manager in and managed to attract good players. They would have been sold the project of we are going to the prem and we will compete and eventually break into the top 6. Then fast forward to during covid and that project changed to a less ambitious project. Players would have seen our decline and watched some top players leave due to this reason of no ambition. We have had a few top players here and there since but all have wanted to leave for the reason of no ambition at the club. If the club made some good signings and presented a project of we are going to compete and not just float around relegation then you would see some good players take a chance. Any player looking at Wolves are going to see the club has been fighting relegation for the last few seasons and all the good players keep leaving. Even the newly promoted teams will likely seem more exciting to join over us.

it has been a very quiet morning so far. I wouldn't put it past Wolves to get another 1 or 2 through the door as usually something comes out of nowhere and is done quick when it has been quiet.

Our play is so slow with the ball and players off the ball do not move enough to create space. Our players at the back then panic and hoof it to noone or goes to Sa who hoofs it to noone.
You see the players who just stand marked and then our defenders have noone open to pass to. Players need to move and pull players with them to create space for other players to move and receive the ball. You see a few attacking players try and run but it is pointless when they are 5ft5 against 6ft+ defenders.
Our defending is school boy stuff where we are getting beat by simple overlap runs.

100% drop Agbadou but I would pick Yerson over S-Bueno. The guy has no pace and loves to foul.

I agree they are better at going forward than defending but if we had a proper leader at the back you would likely see them improve. Individually we have good defenders but you need that vocal commander to keep everyone switched on and organized. To many player runs are not tracked and that's why it looks and is so easy to get through our defence.
last night we looked good when we picked up the tempo. Moved the ball around quicker and players moving into space and coming short when needed. Most of the game players just didn't move into space or was that far apart a pass wasn't on. When pressing at times we did it well when all players pressed but then other times a few players didn't bother or timing was wrong and teams will just play through you easily.
I would like to see Sasa on with Larson as I think they would cause some problems if we get the ball into the box. Add another pacey attacker and midfielder and organise the defence I think we could have a half decent season.
