I see GON has been given a 1 match touchline ban and fined £8k after his reaction at West Ham game.

So how exactly did Mikel Arteta manage to get off with a charge when he called the ref a cheat and remonstrated just as Gary did.

Same as Klopp, Poch and Pep have all escaped charges.

Hi Jas M,
I think you've answered your own question. We need to know our place. Little old Wolves have had their knuckles rapped. How dare we criticise poor decisions, that's for the so called big boys only and higher profile Managers. Corruption in the PL!

01 May 2024 07:06:13
If I was GON, I would have asked for the same punishment as Arteta.

01 May 2024 07:16:07
And just in time for GON to be banned from the touch line against Man C! How convenient.

01 May 2024 09:48:50
The REFS VAR and FA, all base there decisions on the badge on the shirt. They are all killing the game and do not care what we think.

01 May 2024 12:33:56
Wheres the sportsmanship in it all? No one can question the FA/Premiership. Man city with 100 odd discrepancies are too complex to deal with immediately, (and who knows they might be forgotten if left long enough), VAR is not being dealt with as they need the control and TV wants the controversy to talk over. Heard this morning that NBC in the USA is to become the press biggest subscriber worth millions, but, they want at least 2 prem games to be played stateside. Guessing palace v brentford wouldn't be one of them! It's disgraceful, literally selling our sport, our clubs, away. Imagine buying your season ticket then finding that the big one you've been looking forward to is now in LA with a night time ko, and to watch it you've got to subscribe to get it. Pay twice, brilliant. Footballs dying at the hands of those supposed to preserve it.

01 May 2024 15:19:55
If the matches are moved to different countries to suit certain broadcasters then I for one will refuse to go to any more matches and will refuse to subscribe to watch the matches.

Match of the day highlights will do for me and live radio commentary.

01 May 2024 15:27:21
Abbey you are so right.
Apparently Spanish FA already in negotiations for some league matches to be played in the USA.
Not the game I once loved.

02 May 2024 08:23:14
The Spanish FA/teams are chasing the money. The Champions League getting bigger introducing more teams for increased revenue, the European competition covering more teams etc etc. The game is now driven completely by money and the owners of our clubs are all driven by this also. My guess is within the next 10 years there will be a super league and these teams will play Worldwide.

02 May 2024 11:42:45
Abbeywolf, agree our game is being taken over by the money people. Some years ago Wolves were playing Man City at the Ethiad on Saturday afternoon. I now live in Austria so don't see the games live but my friend in Manchester got 2 tickets. I flew over on Friday expecting to see the match only to be told it was put forward to Monday evening so Sky could televise it which was the day I flew back. Luckily I was in time to watch it on TV . A little disappointed and 500 quid lighter.

30 Apr 2024 21:15:59
Gary O'Neil has been given a £8,000 fine and an immediate one game touchline ban following his reaction to the VAR call in Wolves' defeat against West Ham.

O'Neil could face a longer ban if the FA appeals and concludes that a one-match suspension is not sufficient.

From talking wolves via percy telegraph.

Just seen, on You Tube, candidates for Mens goal of the season . Some beauties in there, but it has to be Sarabia, dow it?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2024 20:02:18
Sarabia for me, goal against spurs

30 Apr 2024 21:33:52
And me. Outstanding ball control.

01 May 2024 06:31:07
You can’t vote for Sarabia. Apparently VAR are still checking if a ball boys shoe lace was off-side

Seems that Silva isn't cutting it and we'll be getting him back.😭

29 Apr 2024 22:59:57
Would anyone take Almiron? The toon are thinking of offloading him. I think he is about 32 but still a good player and could be good for Enzo as they are both from same part of the world.

30 Apr 2024 09:39:09
If you'd asked me two or three seasons ago, I wouldn't have been remotely interested but now? I think he could do a real job for us. He's really impressed me with his energy, his enthusiasm and commitment and, importantly from our perspective, his first thought when he has the ball is to look to get on the front foot and take people on rather than play the ball back and build slowly. He's also happy to get in at the far post the moment there's the slightest suggestion a ball might be played across and that's something we've been sadly lacking. The price would have to be right of course but I wouldn't write him off as easily as was once the case.

30 Apr 2024 10:07:00
Not for me. I would however sign Jamal Lascelles if Newcastle were willing to sell.

It's not that I don't like Almiron but if we kept Neto, where would you play him?

30 Apr 2024 14:28:00
I’m thinking if we got rid of Neto to be honest Jas.

30 Apr 2024 15:34:49
If we got rid of Neto then yes. But I just can't see anyone taking a chance on Neto given his injury record. Lucky for us, it means we keep him a bit longer.

30 Apr 2024 17:20:08
Almiron reminds me of the evil baby in the Simpsons 😂 so can’t take him seriously

01 May 2024 09:12:55
Sorry but Almiron would be one of the last pieces in the jigsaw. I would take him tomorrow.

01 May 2024 10:23:33
23/24 EPL stats
Neto 19 games 2 goals 9 assists.
Almiron 29 games 3 goals 1 assist.

28 Apr 2024 16:50:39
Nice to see Matthias Nunes keeping the bench warm for Man City at Forest once again. Shades of Calvin Phillip's.
He will probably be loaned out next season - I know one club who will not want him - can anyone guess which club?

28 Apr 2024 17:29:33
Wrexham?

28 Apr 2024 20:09:35
Wycombe Wanderers?

28 Apr 2024 08:36:55
I must be thick but what is this 'expected goals' all about? If you have an expected goal of 0.5, does that mean you are only expected to score half a goal? Or, you did score a goal until VAR steps in. Anyway, what difference does XG make anyway? I have no idea!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2024 10:09:26
You're not being thick at all. It confuses me too. I mean when we beat Chelsea 4-2, our xg was 1.25 and theirs was 7 or something stupid.

Apparently it's based on passes and all sorts of useless factors.

28 Apr 2024 10:18:59
I think it was Paul Merson in sky, I know he ain’t the brightest spark but even he admitted he didn’t understand the xg ether

28 Apr 2024 10:23:34
All gobbledygook to me and meaningless, unless perhaps your wanting on getting a bet on and don't follow the game?.

28 Apr 2024 11:01:35
XG of 0.5 means you should score 5 goals from 10 attempts. Like most I'm no expert but as others have said it's based on historical data.

So if historically you play counter attacking football and your build up play means that you get into good 1 on 1 chances in front of goal that score or force a save you should have a higher xG than if the goal attempts involve blasting the ball over the south bank from 30 yards and only getting the occasional shot onto the crossbar.

I think that's the best of my understanding. Happy to be further enlightened.

28 Apr 2024 12:18:17
I pay zero attention to pointless stats. The final score is the real stat that counts, and maybe cards / bookings.

28 Apr 2024 01:33:50
Well done boys. Controlled the game and then maybe got a little too cocky but re focused and saw the game out. Now let’s smash city!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2024 06:51:40
With the remaining fixtures, There is a possibility of getting something against Crystal Palace (one or three points) City are in the hunt for a 4th successive PL title in a row, and Liverpool will want to end Klopp's final game on a high at Anfield.

I wonder will it be "one foot on the beach" for the players after the city game?

28 Apr 2024 07:48:52
I think of whang and cunha come through the man City game fit and strong we in my eyes be favourites to beat Palace.
Palace have hit a purple patch so understand it won't be a push over but with home advantage, our last home game of the season our team will pull out all stops for our fans.

28 Apr 2024 10:31:01
apologies vbwolf for taking not much attention to your post above.
Was tired and angry/dismayed that you out of 1 or 2 had posted about the mstch yesterday.
The site is flooded with var our poor performances etc etc.
We win barely a peep.

Re never know vb at man City the double over them would be a massive achievement.

28 Apr 2024 12:17:13
Phil it’s all good. I’m used to it 😂

28 Apr 2024 12:48:54
Very good 2nd half performance.Midfield were very good especially Lemina and Traore. Some lovely flowing passing. It makes it a lot easier when you have a forward line.

28 Apr 2024 12:58:54
Mice 1,

Only 10 mins ago the first time speaking to my brother about the match.
He told me much much better game than Bournemouth game.
Said fans around him were all on about semedo chance should of done better.
Luton came back into it at the end.
3 points in the bag for us.
Happy days.

27 Apr 2024 20:38:42
Good result today for me Traore was motm.
Got to give a shoutout to Luton who were great no dark arts or trying to cheat they just got on with the game.
