I cannot understand the notion of 'player bashing' on here. Sarabia is the current target,
although his form has dipped recently his dead ball play is still top notch.
Earlier this season Jose Sa became a target for criticism and was actually replaced by David Bentley - and we all know how that turned out? I cannot count the number of games when Sa has kept us in with some great saves.
Guys, these players are only human and have off days like all of us so give them a little slack. Look where we are and where everyone expected us to be.
Up the Wolves.

I guess fans who shelled out hard earned money have the unquestionable right to vent their frustrations when players are deemed in their opinions to be not earning their huge salary on the pitch.

Players are the biggest proportion of criticism behind the board but both are as important as each other.
I think wingers can go missing in games that's common but that one cross/delivery can produce a goal attempt.
Also the game in general has changed so much and maybe for myself and older we looking at the game of how we used to know it.

The best thing though is we are top flight and have a chance of success.

Just for comparison this season:

Sarabia - 23 games (17 starts + 6 subs). 3 goal, 7 assists.

Neto - 19 games (18 starts + 1 subs), 2 goals, 9 assists.

Similar stats to each other but very differing opinions by fans.

I think Sarabia is class. He might not run at defenders like Neto does which is probably why he doesn't excite us as much but his little touches make a big difference as does his dead ball delivery.

The most improved player at Wolves this season in Semedo. It just so happens that since Sarabia came into the side, Semedo has improved as Sarabia plays the ball to him more often but also occupies the defenders leaving Semedo the space to run into. Sometimes you have to appreciate what a player does without the ball as much as what they do with it.

Well certainly the goal of the season for me. November 11th, equaliser against Spurs. Unbelievable first touch, quality player

You should see it on X the WM listeners, Killman is the villain on there followed by Sa I kid you not.

Well done boys.
I am loving everything about Wolves at the moment.
Gary O'Neill for manager of the year already? Anyone agree?

He has to he in the running so far. But Rob Edwards should get it if he keeps Luton up.

2.) 07 Feb 2024 01:59:54
I don't think Manager of the Year can go to one who leads his team to a 16th or 17th position for merely not getting relegated. I also don't think Wolves have done enough to get GON the win either. I hate to say it, but probably have to give to Emery if Villa finish top 4.

3.) 07 Feb 2024 02:10:45
It'll be Pepe or Klopp, probably Klopp as it's his last season at Liverpool.

4.) 07 Feb 2024 06:13:03
I posted similar recently klopp pep emery.
But will add GON was applauded last season for the job he did turning around Bournemouths fortunes.
They were in free fall until GON got the job.
Now we have the good fortune having GON.

5.) 07 Feb 2024 06:43:45
So pleased for O'Neil after the Bournemouth setback.
However, credit also goes to Mr Guangchang for relieving Shi of all footballing matters and giving Hobbs more authority.
He has had 2 very good transfer windows. which is very welcome after 7 very poor windows!

6.) 07 Feb 2024 11:27:11
Rugeley. Are you counting the window that just closed as a good one?! I do. It takes smarts and confidence to know when to sit back a bit. He didn't panic buy or sell, but loan out unused players and cut bait on others. So I say 3 good windows in a row for Hibbs.

I really am looking forward to our derby game tomorrow which promises to be a great match.
Throw away the form book and also the the standings of each team in their respective divisions because this is a rivalry like no other.
I just hope that the idiots are support each team do not spoil the day.

Just finished watching Liverpool wallop Bournemouth.
Really underwhelmed by the second half performance by Alex Scott - 25million?
I think we got a better player for a bargain inTommy Doyle.
What do you think?

Telfordwolf

1.) 21 Jan 2024 19:54:17
Totally agree Telford, I have a lot of time for Doyle. Problem is he needs to be playing and not warming the bench. His work rate is second to none, and he can only get better.

2.) 22 Jan 2024 06:14:17
Same view Telford.
I know he only came on as a Sub, but didn't really make much on an impression on myself.
Doyle definitely the better player!

3.) 22 Jan 2024 06:26:57
No question about Telford, in my books Doyle is definitely the better of the two who will progress into something special.

4.) 22 Jan 2024 09:37:15
Yes, due to circumstances Doyle has been given a chance and TBF he looks a bargain. Good work rate, positive with his passing and not afraid to shoot. The Dilemma is who do you drop?
Gomes is excellent too and I also think Traore is good.

5.) 22 Jan 2024 14:23:40
Alo Black its good good to have options mate

6.) 22 Jan 2024 22:59:26
So sorry U Wolfy's I haven't been on here .been very ill had long COVID just recovered.it was touch and go but got through it.

7.) 22 Jan 2024 23:01:04
Blacksford. I don't think "dropping" is how it should be looked at. GON will have to use his man-management skills, since all three, Gomes, Doyle, Traore could all start games depending on opposition matchups. Teams that win trophies have multiple quality players in each position, so when injuries, suspensions or national team commitments arise, there is someone to step up into place and the team doesn't lose a beat. I would use a bit of rotation with them so all three stay sharp. GON will need to do that up top too when Hwang comes back and rotate him, Neto, Sarabia, Cunha, Fraser or another striker. The boys will need to learn they may not be going a full 90+ any more which should keep everyone fresher late in the season.

Agree with you Dek. One loss and we start calling out for a striker again. After scoring 3 and 4 goals against Man Utd and Chelsea?
Put it down to a bad day at the office and start again next week against Spurs.

Totally agree NewJersey. Cuhna steps up once again and proves what a great all-round player he is with a hat trick. Who needs a number 9?
Another brilliant performance and we are now in the top 10.
Cuhna has to be one of the finest players we have bought in recent years - anyone agree?

Totally agree with you VB. Doyle is turning out to be the buy of the season. He was all over the pitch and has a Neves style and quality with his passing along with tenacious tackling.
I was concerned watching the 1st half with Brighton on the front foot but the boys dug deep and ground a really great result.
Well done boys.
