Great win on Sunday Podence looking good. Sadly maybe time to let Traore go, preferably abroad. Silva looking better, Raul not back to his best yet but if there is one man who deserves to wear the Shirt it's him.
Anyway better late than never.a Happy New Year to all on here from the very snowy Austrian Alps

I understand we might be looking at Ivan Toney. To be honest I think Ivanhoe would be an improvement on what we have at the moment. What about Pukki, worth a punt? What happened to David Brookes, Bournemouth, could be a good addition at the right price.
1.) 22 Mar 2021 09:39:39
I don’t understand why no players make it through the academy, every Club in the Prem (even Man City) have at least one home produced player appearing regularly. Every player in our team has been transferred in and are all full Internationals most who are under performing, any of them play well in a couple of games is worth 50 mill and linked with a move to one of the big six, how can you build a team that’s ever going to challenge at the top end of the table, or is that not the intention any longer. We all know it’s been difficult this season and some Clubs haven’t took it too serious but we can only hope our owners have plans for next season.
2.) 22 Mar 2021 11:05:17
I know they don't play regularly but Gibbs White and Otasowie have come through our ranks.
3.) 22 Mar 2021 15:05:46
Gibbs white ain't good enough and otasowie needs a spell out on loan.
We've spent some serious money on u23 and academy players and I think the juries out on the majority of them.
4.) 22 Mar 2021 17:14:02
It looks like the recruitment for younger players seems to be with a view of selling them on at a profit. One player I'd like to see getting a chance is Theo Corbeanu.
5.) 24 Mar 2021 16:45:02
The worrying thing about mgw is that it seems that nuno likes him. I personally think he's bad news and not a premier league player by a county mile.
6.) 25 Mar 2021 11:10:45
Have to agree Lexluna. When has he changed a game, introduced from the bench, in the PREM?
7.) 26 Mar 2021 21:27:30
Wolves will never produce talent homegrown unless they sign for Mendez aged 6! Everything comes via him and don't be surprised if Neto is moved on in June as the Mendez pension pot needs topping up!
8.) 27 Mar 2021 09:46:26
Great to see Wozza10 back trolling.
9.) 27 Mar 2021 16:35:55
I think we have some of the workds best kids on our books the future is promising I think.
10.) 27 Mar 2021 17:25:42
What I love about Wozza10 is how precise his facts are. As he says, everything goes through Jorge Mendes. Coady, Boly, Marcal, Kilman, Dendoncker, Otasowie, Hoever, Jonny, Saiss. None are represented by Mendes thereby proving his point that everything goes through him.
11.) 28 Mar 2021 08:34:52
I would love to see Corbeanu given a chance too.
12.) 03 Apr 2021 11:25:56
Academy players make it at clubs like City because they are given prolonged periods in the first team. Their team is good enough to carry a player who is learning how to play at this level. Unfortunately our team isn't.
{Ed077's Note - isn't Foden the only "academy" player to actually "make it" in the City squad. With the investment they've made into their youth setup, 1 is a very low number IMO. They've struggled to hold onto their promising youth players like Sancho, Diaz, etc..
13.) 04 Apr 2021 12:12:53
I'd take one as good as Foden to be fair.
13 Jul 2018 12:25:59
Anybody know the latest on the Zinchenko transfer? Phoned friends in Manchester and they said. a good solid player not unlike De Bruyna. City fans will be sad to see him go. Sounds good to me.
1.) 13 Jul 2018 15:34:34
Looks like Fulham and Newcastle are after him too, so well will see!
Would love Michael Antonio as well personally just as he adds more cover in lots of positions was good as a striker last season before his injury. Also counts towards English registered players.

Does anyone know where the team are staying in the Innsbruck area. I have details of the matches but wonder where they stay and train.

Gary, I think it is time to send your Xmas list to Santa. a goalkeeper who can stop goals, a defender who can defend, a captain who can give orders, a striker who can score goals and a partridge in a peartree. He hasn't got time to listen to drummer boys and certainly hasn't time to do anything with milkmaids. So come on Gary, get your list into Santa

Great win last saturday, watched the highlights I the Wolves site with the sound high. Great atmosphere, wish I could have been there. Where have all the doom and gloomers gone? Didn't we do this to United a few years ago when they were on a undefeated run, possibly in Nuno's time. What has happened to Adama he doesn't feature in Fulham's team anymore?
1.) 03 Oct 2023 13:17:00
For what I have seen Adama has being used as sub and currently is injured.
Jimunez a real shame his horrific injury as he was some player.
Not off the mark yet for Fulham
But has been regularly starting.
2.) 03 Oct 2023 14:01:03
Sadly, I don't think Jimenez will be truly effective at this level again and Adama can look forward to life as an impact sub. Both need to waive the Prem goodbye, imo, probably for the Championship if they stay in the UK.
I'm surprised Fulham signed them tbh.
3.) 03 Oct 2023 16:04:07
Was at Fulham last night. Jimenez won 2 contested headers (impressed!) from corners and looked neat and tidy but that was it and he was taken off just after half time and Fulham sadly looked much better without him. Lack of energy? Lack of commitment? He just looks off the pace and I can't see that changing as he gets older?
Talking to Fulham fans they thought he would just be a reserve behind Mitrovic but of course he went to Saudi. All in all i'm not sure they got the best of that deal - well done Jeff! (See I can say it)
ps Adama is injured.
pps Fulham not great especially at the back - another team we can target for points!
4.) 03 Oct 2023 18:35:32
Alright Thefutureisoldgold just letting you know if you haven't already looked we play Fulham at the cottage Saturday the 25th of November.
5.) 03 Oct 2023 18:35:42
Fulham haven't done well when buying our players. Kevin MacDonald had to retire for medical reasons. Ivan Cavaleiro didn't pull up any trees. Raul Jimenez seems to be at the end of his top flight days. Adama Traore was a free agent when Fulham signed him, but any hopes of him clicking with Raul seem wide of the mark. Surprising how every signing has disappointed for them.
6.) 03 Oct 2023 20:45:56
Phil - got a ticket already!
I try to get to a game somewhere - depending on where I am in the country - most weeks but these days it is rarely Wolves as prices, availability and travel make it hard to attend.
Do a lot of non league games - been to York 3 times already this season - but have also been to Forest, Chelsea and Fulham now so far this year.
ps Stearman did ok for Fulham didn't he?
7.) 03 Oct 2023 23:16:03
Brill nice 1 Thefutureisoldgold.
My brother went to craven cottage few years back when we score Jack Price was right up to my brothers face going come on red faced as the fans are right on the pitch side.
Sure my bro said the away end was behind the goal but I could be wrong.
Great you getting out and about watching the footy.
8.) 04 Oct 2023 01:41:25
Phil you are absolutely correct the away fans do sit behind the goal at the Putney Bridge end. Suspect Wolves will only get the corner on the river side rather than the whole end mind.
Ps Jack Price and Kevin Macdonald with Bakkary Sacko (sp), Afobe and Dicko made a great side in the mid 2010s. I imagine Matt Doherty was in that team as well!
25 Apr 2023 21:31:55
Hands up all those who said "don't play Neves"
1.) 25 Apr 2023 22:32:54
Sheepishly puts up hand,
anyone want to share this humble pie with me?
2.) 26 Apr 2023 02:48:18
No not really Rated, people's opinions of the team performances with and without Neves have been pretty accurate imo.
Sounds like he's 'come back' with a positive performance which is needed right now.
3.) 26 Apr 2023 09:29:16
Neves was stupid, picked up another yellow card for taking his shirt off, referee produced 8 others for short pulling being outspoken etc, but should have given straight red to Johnstone for the foul on Neto
4.) 26 Apr 2023 16:40:14
Tbf I think that was just Neves passion overboiling when he took his shirt off, never going to criticize someone for having passion like that about our club.
5.) 26 Apr 2023 17:19:10
Maybe he was Hednesford but, having just served a 2 game ban for 10 bookings this season,I'm not sure he can now serve another ban on yellows alone. Correct me if I'm wrong folks. Even if the card tally is carried over to next season, that won't be a concern if he's wearing someone else's colours
20 Mar 2023 12:15:53
A bit of a disaster to say the least. Penalty? Not sure but we should not have to rely on pena!ties to score.Leeds didn't. Johnny at fault for the goal, Traore should have played to the whistle and could have stopped the fourth goal. Before I get accused of being a Traore hater, I would like to see him and Neves sign new contracts and start every game.
Are We going down? We have a good manager and a good set of players just needs sorting out. Come on J.L. stop farting about
1.) 20 Mar 2023 14:23:55
I think some on here and twitter have said it perfectly "most of the players believe their own hype and haven't grasped that we are in a relegation battle."
2.) 20 Mar 2023 18:59:11
Spot on Rated.
Can`t see this lot rolling up their sleeves and fight.
IMO Forest is a must win.
Lose and we are doomed.
Don`t think Lope would fancy championship.
Time for a large gin `n tonic I reckon. Fed up.
3.) 20 Mar 2023 20:33:22
I'll join you Wombourneron mate but mines a pepsi as don't drink.
18 Feb 2023 10:24:27
Looking for a good win today to set us up for Friday v Fu!ham on Sky.
What we have to be careful of is if we chase the ball or kick it aggressively, both red cards if you are a Wolves player. Onwards and upwards ?
07 Nov 2024 12:31:34
First post for a long time. When RAN played against Brighton he played well and scored a goal. His name was probably is of the first on the team sheet for the Palace game.and he played crap. Is that GON's fault?
During the Palace game the fans made it clear they were not happy with his subsitutions, personaly I would have left Doyle on. A lot of posts on here day we should not play a back four but when I watch Match of the Day most teams set up a back four,
not that I know a lot about set ups. In my days of a season ticket holder we played two full backs, three half backs, big Frank in the middle and a forward line. It seemed to work well in those days.
PS. Where are you Phil?
18 May 2024 14:30:56
A song for the Baggies fans by Little Eva.
So come on. Come on and do the no promotion with me ??
30 Jul 2018 15:09:13
I agree DAS loaning Afobe seems a bit strange. If he was not in plans why not send him back. Bonatini OK you don't get much for 10 mill these days. Personally I would have kept Douglas as back up. Why is Bathe still here?
02 May 2024 11:42:45
Abbeywolf, agree our game is being taken over by the money people. Some years ago Wolves were playing Man City at the Ethiad on Saturday afternoon. I now live in Austria so don't see the games live but my friend in Manchester got 2 tickets. I flew over on Friday expecting to see the match only to be told it was put forward to Monday evening so Sky could televise it which was the day I flew back. Luckily I was in time to watch it on TV . A little disappointed and 500 quid lighter.
08 Mar 2024 13:27:24
Perhaps he meant Jamie Bell. He could dance through their defence?
02 Mar 2024 08:51:37
Old Wolf, I also have a ticket for that final. Like you say 80p and have a ticket for the Second leg of the UEFA cup final against Tottenham at White Hart lane £1.20. A season ticket holder in those days. I can't remember how much it cost but £8 sticks in my mind.would that be about right?
02 Nov 2023 14:09:29
Phil I was at the game at the Mol also the final at Wembley. Richard's goal from Sunderland's cross was right in front of us. Never forget that one. Also saw Richard's debut at Stoke, he weaved his way past three defenders and nearly scored. The Stoke supporter next to me said "where the bloody hell did you get him from" Great Times!

Spot on Ken 68, agree with what you say but I'd have liked Cody back for his captaincy skills. We are lacking a strong leader on the pitch
