My work colleagues will be gutted.
Birmingham relegated to league 1.

Leeds Southampton Norwich WBA.

Prefer Norwich to win playoffs.

Leicester, Ipswich.?
We'll be playing next season.

04 May 2024 15:29:02
I'd prefer Norwich Phil, we need to wear our change straps for good reasons. Seriously Southampton seem the the team at the moment but who knows? As long as the tesco lot stay where they are.

04 May 2024 13:00:46
Feeling confident today as we seem to do well against attack minded teams, i've gone for 2-1 to Wolves, Jaoa gomes first scorer, 3+ corners each half, 40+ booking points at 90/1

04 May 2024 13:19:51
Done my usual 3-1 Wolves win @150/1

Wolves to win 3-1 and Cunha 1st scorer @1500/1

04 May 2024 13:38:19
I kind of share your optimism Rated but I'm worried about our organisation at the back without Dawson, city could cut us to bits like the proverbial knife and butter. We contained them well at home, wether we can do that tonight is to be seen. But I'm going 2-1 as well, coming back from 1 down. Don't care who scores but as always, hope your bet comes off.

04 May 2024 14:45:58
Imo our best bet is City having a player sent off we scoring from resulting penalty.

0-1 to wolves.

04 May 2024 15:16:33
Not as confident as you guys, I reckon City will want to put the title to bed and will be up for this match taking no prisoners.

04 May 2024 15:37:34
I have the WWE live event to wind down to after the match if it all goes pear shaped lol.

04 May 2024 08:17:15
Adebay from Luton worth a punt?

04 May 2024 12:05:21
I think so.

What Liverpool FC Should Do

03 May 2024 15:51:27
Bellegarde, Neto and S.Bueno are all back in full training. Noha getting closer too.

03 May 2024 19:08:18
Is Doyler able to play tomorrow given he's a permanent wolf now? Or do the same rules apply until end of season?

03 May 2024 19:38:27
Officially a wolves player 1st July so presumably not available tomorrow

{Ed007's Note - If the guy has been on loan to you this season and fit there's no reason he isn't available mate, that just means that on the 1st of July he becomes a permanent signing for you as you can't register a player outside a window - unless he was a free agent at the end of the previous window - and the earliest you can register a player is the 1st of July.
Technically he is still on loan to you and that loan contract won't technically end until June 30th.}

03 May 2024 19:52:40
I read that he will sign permanently on July 1st. So I’m guessing he won’t be eligible for tomorrow.

04 May 2024 13:01:14
I don't think Doyle can play today.

03 May 2024 09:31:32
Well you know what day it is tomorrow?

Lostcity/Abbey

If Luke could hit a target of only a couple of metres then we can win.

MAY THE 4TH BE with US.

Lol.

Once in a football ground far away
The old gold or red change
Take on the blue moon
And another win
We pray
WWFC.

2-1 wolves with Daft VARder giving us something of a surprise.
A win will it be then?

Nice one Phil.

04 May 2024 04:28:08
Ha ha brill Abbey 😀
May the 4th be with you.

03 May 2024 00:32:09
So can Tommy play this weekend or not?

03 May 2024 09:22:12
No he can't.

03 May 2024 10:36:13
Thankfully the club have taken up the option of signing him permanently, a great piece of business for £5M.

03 May 2024 12:14:36
GIMME GIMME A GINGER FROM CITY! FWAW P.S. What a bargain!

03 May 2024 15:30:49
That has cheered me up, after a stuttering end to this season. Mind you, at the start I prayed for survival with not a lot of confidence. So well done GON and his team for showing what hard work and a bit of belief can do. Some players have shone, with a few additions we do have something to build on. I am assuming that Neto may go, but with his injury record he is a gamble for any purchaser, and we cannot create a team dependant on him.

POTENTIAL EPL SIGNINGS FOR LEEDS UNITED

02 May 2024 07:39:22
{Ed's Note - Dillinger has posted a new article entitled, POTENTIAL EPL SIGNINGS FOR LEEDS UNITED

01 May 2024 16:42:17
Nothing surprises me regarding Wolves. Manchester City 0 Wolves 1.

01 May 2024 19:27:44
Here's hoping lostcity, it'd take some doing though with available squad we've got.
But we've got to believe.

02 May 2024 06:28:55
3 games to go.let's hope for positive performances as the season comes to an end.
A miracle season last year and another one this season.
All credit to Hobbs and O'Neil.
I think we are all more interested how Mr Guangchang sets the Club Agenda for next season.
2 thoughts: Sack our incompetent CEO and appoint someone with
commercial clout who can build our revenue through
decent Sponsorships and/or Partnerships
Allow Hobbs and O'Neil to have complete control over
all footballing matters

02 May 2024 07:22:04
Rugeley, I take it you're talking about Jeff Shi being incompetent.

Is this the same Jeff Shi who appointed Nuno, signed off the paperwork for all the players (good and bad) since Fosun bought us. The same Jeff Shi that has grown our brand in Asia. Through the music world. The same Jeff Shi who oversaw two 7th place finishes and a European adventure.

Or do you just want to focus on the negatives.

Every single club has made mistakes.
Man City made one this season when signing Mattheus Nunes, but you don't give Shi any credit for that sale or for negotiating a deal worth up to £42m for MGW.

02 May 2024 09:52:06
Jas, this is a road you and I have been down before. We both have our views which see history differently and where the credit sits with some of your points. That is fine.
One question though, in February it was announced that Wolves were looking for circa $100 million from Investors to develop the Club.
Have I missed an update from the CEO?

02 May 2024 10:26:54
No you haven't because it was Guo who was looking for this investment not Jeff Shi.

02 May 2024 14:02:22
Really? Isn't Shi theoretically the Head of Wolves?
Maybe you are right, he is also deemed incapable of Commercial responsibilities.

02 May 2024 18:42:57
I think you're referring to the article where Fosun were looking for additional investment for the Sporting arm of the company. This includes Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (which Shi is CEO of) which you correctly state, but also the Esports department which Shi doesn't oversee. But saying that, I think the CEO of Man City is doing a pathetic job. I mean he authorised the signing of Nunes, Angelina and Cancelo. Same at Chelsea all them years ago when the CEO sold De Bruyne and Salah. Useless.

03 May 2024 09:57:54
It's very unfortunate/wounding/rubbish/
terrible/
However you put it that Silva is a flop.
But blaming Shi to the extent you do Rugeley can only make it worse for you.
Accept nothing can be done as time machines don't exsist and move on I think.

Re I too want good performances inmour last 3 games.

3 very tough games.
Hope for you Rugeley/Jas and all home support you witness last home game with victory.

03 May 2024 10:20:19
Hi Phil, I have articulated my views which are well documented.
The most damming evidence I guess are the interviews with two well respected players, Coady and Sass, plus one ex-manager's very public views.
Enough said.
ps
Let's hope for 3 good team performances before the summer break!

03 May 2024 11:59:57
Hi Rugeley,
Fair enough pal,
Next season I'm very very hopeful we'll kick on.
And yes sure let's hope we put out 3 good performances.
COTW

03 May 2024 13:02:33
Rugeley, I must have missed what Coady and Saiss said about Shi. Also which manager was it?

03 May 2024 16:14:18
Jas M : You can't really compare our CEO to Clubs that have money to burn and have justified it by winning trophy after tropy both at home throughout Europe and indeed the World, we're told our club has to be self funding so therefore mistakes have to be few and far between, they haven't been, we've seen players we really needed to keep having to be sold, given away and let contracts run down while at the same time spend vast amounts on players that will never be Premier League Players.

The two seventh place finishes under Nuno were before they decided to start selling his players from under him, are in the past and will never be repeated with our present owners unless there are major changes in the running of the Club. Rolling out the excuses can't go on, all Clubs have injuries, we only have a smaall squad, when Dawson's fit, when Neto's fit, when we have a striker, we are supposedly an established Premier League Club in actual fact we are no further forward and in no better position than Leicester, Ipswich or whoever else is promoted, someone has to be held responsible, look no further than our CEO.

04 May 2024 07:31:54
Jas, several sources including Talk Sport.
Coady: ""I will be honest with you, pre-season at Wolves was tough. For five or six years I’ve played every minute, I've made sure I’ve been fit and ready and it was the same in pre-season, but as footballers you get a little bit of a vibe, like something is not right.
"I was feeling things in training. Listen, I love that Club, I have done for seven years, it’s a very special club, but I could feel things, I could feel something was wrong at the top".
Saiss: Wanted to stay at Wolves, and Bruno Lage was also keen for him to extend his stay.
The straight-talking star said: “When I got the offer from the Club, I just feel like it was a ******* disrespect And I’m not talk about numbers, I’m not talking about money."
He is quoted how he loved the Club, but he was very critical of the Board (That is Shi, as the other 2 board members are passive)
Lopetequi: Wolves head coach Julen Lopetegui has suggested he was misled over the club’s summer transfer plans.
Lopetegui emerged from a meeting with Jeff Shi, the chairman, admitting concerns over Financial Fair Play rules have altered the spending budget from what he first been told.
“I have had that meeting and I know now there are some Financial Fair Play problems that I didn’t know before, ” said Lopetegui, 56

Hope that helps.

04 May 2024 08:35:14
The Lopetegui one I can understand but at the end if the day, Shi's decision to sell our players was vindicated. The way it happened could have been handled better I agree. Regarding Coady, it was Lage who wanted him out, likewise Saiss.

Yes, Shi has made mistakes, but so has every other CEO, hence my post mentioning Man City and Chelsea. But remember where we were when he was first appointed.

We could still have Jez Moxey.

01 May 2024 10:48:50
It now seems common knowledge that Rangers will not be taking up the option to buy Fabio Silva. Problem now being what can Wolves do with him? He's apparently not worth the £15m that Rangers would have paid

01 May 2024 11:24:34
Give GON a chance to work with him in pre season and take it from there.

01 May 2024 11:31:21
Let's get what we can and be rid of him, he's had enough of a free ride.

01 May 2024 12:02:38
Well, Silva has proved that he isn't a goalscorer.

I do remember GON saying he wanted a player to play a floating role behind the strikers to ease the pressure on the midfield.

It may be that GON will utilise him there and push Cunha further forward.

01 May 2024 12:28:10
Think GON had that option before loaning him to Rangers

01 May 2024 13:38:05
Just off load him- anywhere. Cut our substantial losses and get rid. I’ve said it for a long time, he never was and never will be, a goal scorer/number 9. He’s become a very very wealthy young man, from failing to do his job properly. I wish I could find a job like that.

01 May 2024 15:04:27
I think Fabio's days are numbered. Bearing in mind two forwards were sent out on loan in January. Sasa got a bad injury, yet Fabio wasn't recalled (the recall option may have not been in the loan agreement though). But I think that speaks volumes.

01 May 2024 15:24:31
I think our manager has already decided Silva is not good enough.
A complete waste of circa £50 million and counting (includes his ridiculous wages).
Shi should have been sacked for just that one decision!

01 May 2024 16:23:12
Shi was badly advised. If the deal had worked out, Shi would've been hailed a genius.

01 May 2024 17:20:34
Blame Jeff Shi for everything!

01 May 2024 18:46:13
We need to cut our losses with Fabio if we can. How many teams at his level will pay the wages he's rumoured to be earning? Not many/any I reckon. If he wants to play regular football hopefully he'll leave without running his contract down, or we may have to loan him out again just to dilute his wages drain on us. Hopefully a lesson learned.

01 May 2024 18:51:10
Not doubting Jeff Shi made mistakes, but appointing Matt Hobbs was a masterstroke, Hobbs has helped steady the ship. So credit where it is due also.

03 May 2024 08:38:21
So much discussion about Jeff Shi but remember boys.where we came from when Fosun bought our club and look were we are now.
Enough said.?
