We're being linked with Jonathan Rowe of Norwich City. If Pedro Neto leaves for £60 million and we could get Rowe for £20 million, that would be great business.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 22 May 2024 06:45:09
The Lad get good press Lost, personally not really spent any time watching him.

16 May 2024 16:46:21
We're reportedly hoping to get £20 million for Fabio Silva. £5 million sounds more realistic.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 16 May 2024 17:34:46
If Fabio is sold for £20m, would this mean Jeff Shi is poor for selling a player for £15m less than we signed him because he didn't live up to expectations or would Shi be a genius for managing to get £20m for a player who clearly isn't worth it?

2.) 16 May 2024 17:37:16
And £6 million for podence seems quite likely to happen. Would bite the hand off of anyone happy to pay £20 mil for silva

3.) 16 May 2024 19:20:37
As Mendes made a lot on the deal putting silva to us I hope mendes can get us the best price for him.
At the time silva was an exciting best young prospect coming out of Portugal.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing if you could bottle it.

There will be funds coming in how ever much it may be.

4.) 17 May 2024 09:41:24
If its euros then,
6 million euros is 5.144 million pounds sterling

20 million euros is 17.147 million pounds sterling.

5.) 17 May 2024 12:05:33
It's hard to see anyone willing to spend 20m GBP or 20m Euros on Fabio Silva.

Wolves are waiting for Lopetegui. I reckon that they are willing to wait until Christmas. He has been number one choice for a long time.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 27 Oct 2022 12:45:22
Maybe.but could be too late by then.
If QPR start to stumble, they could try Beale again!

2.) 27 Oct 2022 18:20:22
If QPR stumble, would we really want an inexperienced manager who is not succeeding in the championship. We should be aiming a lot higher than that. Our current situation reminds of when McCarthy was sacked. Inept board, no plan B and with all due respect a caretaker boss who is out of their depth managing a premier league club fighting for survival. I can only see the same outcome as well - RELEGATION!

3.) 27 Oct 2022 18:29:32
Warm weather camp in December - ideal opportunity for a new manager to get to know the players, a sort of mini pre-season. Maybe Spain? Who knows who might be joining them.

4.) 27 Oct 2022 18:41:57
After Beales comments to Talksport he can do one, he basically said there are 2 places between QPR and Wolves and moving to Wolves wouldn't be ambition for him.

5.) 27 Oct 2022 18:58:58
There ARE 2 places between them and the way things are going we’ll be swapping places at the end of the season. I don’t blame him one bit for turning us down. We are currently a shambles of a club and our situation is an embarrassment

6.) 28 Oct 2022 07:02:46
Chaps, my comments about Beale, were an attempt as sarcasm.
Not a chance of him joining and surely not right for us.
It feels we will knee-jerk into a bad appointment and that will see us down.
I fear a real battering by Brentford.

7.) 28 Oct 2022 11:21:54
Used to look forward to match days, just dreading it now. It's suggested Fosun should sell the club, but who will buy? Like buying a clapped out car!

8.) 28 Oct 2022 12:34:29
Ray, Wolves would be great buy for the right person. good fan base, good income, potential of a great team, why would they be like buying a clapped out car?
Some people on here seriously need to look at glass half full, yes things are bad at moment, but stop with the constant brain drain, we know its bad, we can all see it, but Wolves as a club don't just turn to sh1t because things are bad now, if we were to be bought like before things could really pick up with the right infrastructure in the club.

9.) 28 Oct 2022 16:12:55
Great post Sydney.
This is the tragedy of the whole matter it takes only tiny chnages to turn this around.Fosun themselves showed how its done in their first few years at the club.
Even now we can survive this year and then return to an upward curve next year with only minimal changes required.
Simply appoint a talented first team football manager and let him/her sort out the team and the squad.
Although nowhere near as good/balanced/deep as it once was (or even was before the trolley dash that was the latest poor transfer window) even without expenditure in Jan (as long as we don't sell our best players!) it is surely still better than 3 others in the league.
It will however also require Fosun to remove Jeff or at least ensure that he has no input whatsoever into the football and football finances side of the business merely dealing with the mundane matters that he MIGHT be capable of dealing with such as catering, cleaning and other non football related commerical activities.
This has to happen now/V V soon though as another couple of months of losses and it may then be too late even for a Ferguson/Wenger/Klopp triumviate to turn around

10.) 28 Oct 2022 16:57:21
Agree Future, it has to happen and ASAP, all is not lost yet, some hard work and a lot of bottle will turn this around with the right people in the right jobs, whether its under Fosun's banner or someone else's it can and will happen I believe, Fosun have a big asset in Wolves, a club in the best league in world, a squad full of talent, genuine fans who will come week in week out, same as Newcastle, a great opportunity to get back on the European stage if they get thing sorted, the list goes on, we as a club and fans are an asset to any owner

Just bought myself a Goodyear tyre marked shirt off Vinted. Absolutely love it, thanks Glenn.

If Brentford had been the selling club, Cunha would have been sold for £90 million and RAN would have been £60 million.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 11 Jun 2025 18:50:50
Can't help but agree lostcity, and Doyler would be going for more than 3m.

2.) 11 Jun 2025 19:04:21
Really. Didn't Brentford sell Ivan Tony for £40 Million?

3.) 11 Jun 2025 20:53:21
Didn't they just sell Flekken, a Dutch international with 2 years left on his contract, for £8.5m?

4.) 11 Jun 2025 21:49:39
Just to try and put things into perspective, if we sold RAN for 60m he would be the 3rd most expensive left back in transfer history! Now I no he has gone for a little cheap but he wasn’t or isn’t a world class left back so I don’t think we have done that bad overall!

5.) 12 Jun 2025 08:17:50
Kepa, who had an amazing season and is a Spain international has a £5M release clause.

6.) 12 Jun 2025 09:51:42
Wolves should be looking at Kepa, at only £5m, upgrade on Sa I think Pikey. Some good deals out there. I would love us to sign a new GK, at least 2 in forward positions for a start. If Bueno is happy to return don’t think we are too bad in defence.

New Keeper
Bueno, Toti, Agadoo, Doc, Gomes
Andre, Gomes, Munetsi/Bellegarde
Larsen, New Striker/No 10.

Actually we need cover everywhere for injuries, first team ok with a couple of additions. Did think as well, who now takes corners and free kicks. Used to be Cunha, Sarabia or RAN.
Work to be done, at least this time with VP in charge there is a little more optimism ??

7.) 12 Jun 2025 10:15:35
It's really suggesting we let our assets go without question, yes cunha had the price in his contract, yes length of remaining contract plays a part, but we never seem to stand our ground holding out for a decent offer.
It does suggest we bring em in and let em go, jota, neto, even Neves was on the cheap but dug us out, so maybe we're a club struggling to survive in the big bad world? OR, maybe we value the players in our team more and the more well off with larger turnover and 'bigger' stars don't see wolves players the same. Ronaldo for example has a bigger commercial value in him than on pitch abilities alone.
One deal I thought we did well onwas MGW, but he's flourished at forest and now seems to command a value far greater than I imagined. Who really knows the workings of the agents the clubs the press and pressures?

8.) 12 Jun 2025 11:01:32
One of the reasons we have been able to sign players of a calibre perhaps above our reputation and position is because we develop players and don't price them out of their 'dream move'. If young, hungry players want to develop, especially with the help of Uncle Jorge then we are up there with anybody.
Because we are open to selling we have been given a chance to watch Neves and Jota for example

9.) 12 Jun 2025 11:32:22
Kepa also earns £150k per week.
Reports claim he was on £75k per week at Bournemouth are partially right as Chelsea paid the other £75k

10.) 13 Jun 2025 08:07:43
That’s a no to Kepa then on those wages, ridiculous

11.) 14 Jun 2025 19:28:50
I think you're on to something there Tim156. Part of the package of choosing Wolves for an up and coming player is that they know they will have autonomy in choosing where they move to. If we had a reputation for bargaining too hard when the time comes it may put them off.

31 May 2025 10:56:34
I think Kyle Walker on a two year deal would be good business.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 31 May 2025 13:51:50
Don’t know if I would want all his drama and seems more prone to injury now due to age

25 May 2025 10:45:36
Important match today. We need to finish as high as possible. Wolves 3 Brentford 1.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 25 May 2025 12:01:04
I agree wholeheartedly lostcity, apart from the scoreline. I'm imagining either a damp squib of a game 1-1, or a feisty ened to end with a 3-2 or even 4-3 finish to the season. No matter what a victory is still imperative to keep us 14th. Last time this season, enjoy the game one and all, COYW COYW COYW.

2.) 25 May 2025 12:39:48
I agree Lost very important match today for a bit of optimism as we head into a busy summer of comings and goings. No idea really of team selection or result just hope we play well and win. ??

3.) 25 May 2025 12:50:07
A win will make no difference to our final position as Everton are 4 points ahead. If we lose, however, and West Ham and Man U win we drop 2 places to 16th.

4.) 25 May 2025 13:10:21
One last hurrah for a number of players today. Let's give them a brilliant send off and then let VP remould the squad for next season.

5.) 25 May 2025 15:13:37
Teams in, probably strongest side available, hope Cunha wants to put on 1 last show and is interested today.

6.) 25 May 2025 19:21:17
And 1-1 it was in a rather end of season lethargy. Nice goal from munetsi though, glad he finally found the net.

20 May 2025 09:35:12
I reckon we'll beat Palace 2-0 tonight and go on to finish in 13th position.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 20 May 2025 11:30:14
I'll be happy with a point lostcity, palace will be on a high the place will be a rocking party and we'll be the plus ones.
I think we maybe the party poopers for a while but can't see palace giving up the celebrations unless they're knackered. 2-2 for me.

2.) 20 May 2025 11:49:11
Maybe Lost, let's hope they've still got hangovers. They are on a role at the moment unless The Cup win has put them on the beach.

3.) 20 May 2025 12:40:04
I'm in Tenerife and will watch at Gaffers bar in Las Americas.not hopeful though

4.) 20 May 2025 13:05:17
Hope you are correct Lostcity, really want us to finish season on a high. Not sure what to expect after the final, difficult to know how Palace will approach the game. Saying that I hope VP can motivate us after the last game, I think he will demand a good performance. For you, does he start Cunha?

5.) 20 May 2025 14:24:45
Make Cuhna travel and put him on the subs bench. Then snub him by putting on some youth players.

6.) 20 May 2025 14:42:11
I think so Banksy We're still paying his wages.

7.) 20 May 2025 15:43:26
If Cunha has got is head straight I would like him to play and play well. If he can’t be arsed, already left, worried about injury, then would keep him on bench.
Hard one to call, like you say we are still paying his wages, maybe Man U can start paying them now, seems he is their player already. Mad that he has all but gone but still our player.

8.) 20 May 2025 17:03:52
I'm all for playing our strongest team but I'd think carefully about playing Cunha in case of injury. He is likely to be targeted. What if he breaks a leg or something? The Man U transfer would be on hold and so would the £62mil transfer fee. He has nothing to prove, we won't get a penny more if he scores tonight. Give someone else a chance.

9.) 20 May 2025 18:01:51
Fair point Deep, but if he scores the winner tonight it would almost certainly earn us a few million extra in prize money.

10.) 20 May 2025 18:40:39
Think that sums up the problem Deep and Lost, he plays well as we all know he can, we win and may finish a few places higher, leading to more money to spend. Alternatively he walks about, not interested, maybe picks up an injury putting transfer in doubt. For me though, as mentioned earlier we pay his wages at the moment and he remains our player for a few days more anyway. Find out shortly what VP will do, just hope we play well and win, whoever plays. ?

11.) 20 May 2025 21:01:45
I don’t understand why some are so anti Cunha. Ok he’s got his faults (haven’t we all?)
The contract release trigger was too low but was that all down to him? More likely his agent and the club’s negotiating incompetence. Let’s not forget that back in January our Premier league status was very much in the balance. Easy to forget now 3 or 4 months later when we have stayed up easily. Back then I for one felt we had real hope when he ‘committed’ to stay till the end of the season. It gave me a real lift that Saturday night when he sighed the new contract. Ok so maybe it gave him a ‘guaranteed’ move to a big club. Was that him being cynical or his agent being clever or the club being desperate? Probably a combination of the later two in my opinion.
Give the bloke a break, thank him for the good times, recognise that he ‘ay’ a born and bred Wolves fan like the rest of us and wish him well. This is not a Nunes situation so let’s not slag him off as if it is.

Just been speaking to a neighbour of Sasa in Cafe 29 in Perton. She reckons he's a great bloke who is proud to be a Wolf. Apparently, he is both surprised and delighted at the way we have turned our season around.
