We're being linked with Jonathan Rowe of Norwich City. If Pedro Neto leaves for £60 million and we could get Rowe for £20 million, that would be great business.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 22 May 2024 06:45:09
The Lad get good press Lost, personally not really spent any time watching him.

16 May 2024 16:46:21
We're reportedly hoping to get £20 million for Fabio Silva. £5 million sounds more realistic.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 16 May 2024 17:34:46
If Fabio is sold for £20m, would this mean Jeff Shi is poor for selling a player for £15m less than we signed him because he didn't live up to expectations or would Shi be a genius for managing to get £20m for a player who clearly isn't worth it?

2.) 16 May 2024 17:37:16
And £6 million for podence seems quite likely to happen. Would bite the hand off of anyone happy to pay £20 mil for silva

3.) 16 May 2024 19:20:37
As Mendes made a lot on the deal putting silva to us I hope mendes can get us the best price for him.
At the time silva was an exciting best young prospect coming out of Portugal.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing if you could bottle it.

There will be funds coming in how ever much it may be.

4.) 17 May 2024 09:41:24
If its euros then,
6 million euros is 5.144 million pounds sterling

20 million euros is 17.147 million pounds sterling.

5.) 17 May 2024 12:05:33
It's hard to see anyone willing to spend 20m GBP or 20m Euros on Fabio Silva.

Wolves are waiting for Lopetegui. I reckon that they are willing to wait until Christmas. He has been number one choice for a long time.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 27 Oct 2022 12:45:22
Maybe.but could be too late by then.
If QPR start to stumble, they could try Beale again!

2.) 27 Oct 2022 18:20:22
If QPR stumble, would we really want an inexperienced manager who is not succeeding in the championship. We should be aiming a lot higher than that. Our current situation reminds of when McCarthy was sacked. Inept board, no plan B and with all due respect a caretaker boss who is out of their depth managing a premier league club fighting for survival. I can only see the same outcome as well - RELEGATION!

3.) 27 Oct 2022 18:29:32
Warm weather camp in December - ideal opportunity for a new manager to get to know the players, a sort of mini pre-season. Maybe Spain? Who knows who might be joining them.

4.) 27 Oct 2022 18:41:57
After Beales comments to Talksport he can do one, he basically said there are 2 places between QPR and Wolves and moving to Wolves wouldn't be ambition for him.

5.) 27 Oct 2022 18:58:58
There ARE 2 places between them and the way things are going we’ll be swapping places at the end of the season. I don’t blame him one bit for turning us down. We are currently a shambles of a club and our situation is an embarrassment

6.) 28 Oct 2022 07:02:46
Chaps, my comments about Beale, were an attempt as sarcasm.
Not a chance of him joining and surely not right for us.
It feels we will knee-jerk into a bad appointment and that will see us down.
I fear a real battering by Brentford.

7.) 28 Oct 2022 11:21:54
Used to look forward to match days, just dreading it now. It's suggested Fosun should sell the club, but who will buy? Like buying a clapped out car!

8.) 28 Oct 2022 12:34:29
Ray, Wolves would be great buy for the right person. good fan base, good income, potential of a great team, why would they be like buying a clapped out car?
Some people on here seriously need to look at glass half full, yes things are bad at moment, but stop with the constant brain drain, we know its bad, we can all see it, but Wolves as a club don't just turn to sh1t because things are bad now, if we were to be bought like before things could really pick up with the right infrastructure in the club.

9.) 28 Oct 2022 16:12:55
Great post Sydney.
This is the tragedy of the whole matter it takes only tiny chnages to turn this around.Fosun themselves showed how its done in their first few years at the club.
Even now we can survive this year and then return to an upward curve next year with only minimal changes required.
Simply appoint a talented first team football manager and let him/her sort out the team and the squad.
Although nowhere near as good/balanced/deep as it once was (or even was before the trolley dash that was the latest poor transfer window) even without expenditure in Jan (as long as we don't sell our best players!) it is surely still better than 3 others in the league.
It will however also require Fosun to remove Jeff or at least ensure that he has no input whatsoever into the football and football finances side of the business merely dealing with the mundane matters that he MIGHT be capable of dealing with such as catering, cleaning and other non football related commerical activities.
This has to happen now/V V soon though as another couple of months of losses and it may then be too late even for a Ferguson/Wenger/Klopp triumviate to turn around

10.) 28 Oct 2022 16:57:21
Agree Future, it has to happen and ASAP, all is not lost yet, some hard work and a lot of bottle will turn this around with the right people in the right jobs, whether its under Fosun's banner or someone else's it can and will happen I believe, Fosun have a big asset in Wolves, a club in the best league in world, a squad full of talent, genuine fans who will come week in week out, same as Newcastle, a great opportunity to get back on the European stage if they get thing sorted, the list goes on, we as a club and fans are an asset to any owner

I hope Podence stays. I believe that he has a lot to offer, and the recent incident regarding Hwang could be the turning point.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 16 Jul 2024 17:03:48
Agreed Lostcitywolves, Podence has improved since last with us but also carries strong emotions for the game and his colleagues. Wrong to lash out in the heat of the moment so he’ll need to control that if he’s to play any part of our upcoming season. But in my opinion he is worth more to us than a cheap sale.

2.) 16 Jul 2024 21:06:42
I like him and think we should try and keep him

3.) 17 Jul 2024 10:17:16
Agree entirely Lostcity and BoSWolf. Before this pre-season tour I'd have said get rid of him but by all accounts he's tearing up trees and givi9ng off all the right messages . apart from that flash of temper of course. If this was a genuine attempt to show he cares about his team mate, I'd say give him a go.

4.) 17 Jul 2024 10:18:27
It’s not just that. Apparently he has worked his little Iberian socks off whilst at the camp and has seriously impressed the journalists there. I think he deserves another chance. That is if he does want to stay.

I think the incident has shown maybe Lemina should be captain after his post to Channy.

5.) 17 Jul 2024 13:01:34
Podence has reportedly bought a house in Greece.

6.) 18 Jul 2024 18:11:54
I think Julen pushed Podence out the door, hoping it would persuade ownership to spend, hopefully he stays and gives it to West Ham nz

14 Jul 2024 10:25:59
I have a good feeling about tonight. 2-0 England.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 14 Jul 2024 12:00:32
I don't like predicting scores lostcity but on this occasion I would tend to agree with you.

2.) 14 Jul 2024 12:58:09
3-1 Spain

3.) 14 Jul 2024 13:29:31
I’ve also said 2-0 England. Just felt right ???????⚽️⚽️

4.) 14 Jul 2024 15:04:34
I can't see us stopping spain from scoring, so I think it could be a tight one, team line up and early subs will play a huge part, this may be controversial but I would like to see another striker play with Kane or if we play just one drop him completely, I know this won't happen and possible the only change wi be starting shaw from te start

5.) 14 Jul 2024 16:03:20
I kind of agree cb73 I think we'll need a clean sheet to win, I don't know if we can do that against this Spanish side. If we get to penalties it will be a good result, win or lose after that who knows.

6.) 14 Jul 2024 17:40:14
2-1 at HT for us.
2-1::full time
Looks like one good performance can lift us the trophy, so I want to see a full on, performance from the very first whistle,
Coe

7.) 14 Jul 2024 22:02:36
We got what we deserved. Constantly not starting inform players. We need a re set and go again. Spain were the best team for the whole tournament.

8.) 15 Jul 2024 07:48:08
Oh well.maybe next time

9.) 15 Jul 2024 08:09:38
Southgate and kane to blame
Kane not fit.
So why play him
Southgate too scared to drop him
Cost us

10.) 15 Jul 2024 10:03:26
Agree greyleg, kane should've been off at half time, why Southgate leaves things so late is a question. As a question posed to others, would you want Southgate as your clubs manager? The common answer was no. So why continue with him as the nationals?

11.) 15 Jul 2024 12:15:01
It has to get to the point where you start to think that maybe it is Harry Kane's fault he has no trophies because he is so bad in big games

12.) 15 Jul 2024 12:38:24
Ditto abbey.
But who do we think could possibly replace him.
Whoever they must ditch kane and tbh
Walker, trippier

13.) 15 Jul 2024 16:59:21
Harry Kane is the top goal scorer in Europe this season with 63 goals across all comps. He was CLEARLY injured all tournament! It's fine to debate his selection/the manager but the idea that we need to get rid of the best striker around as a route to success is frankly laughable! It's the equivalent of City saying 'this Haaland lads a bit average, shall we get Balotelli back'?!
Kane isn't the problem it's that we play an entire system that doesn't suit one of the best strikers in the world, and we should be! Haha, but I'm sure your right and Kanes the problem those 63 goals must have all beed lucky, just priceless! ?

14.) 15 Jul 2024 18:57:19
Yes but if he's not fit, why play him before Watkins or Toney
His club wouldn't av played him unfit

15.) 15 Jul 2024 20:22:48
Kane wasn't fit so why he insists on dropping into midfield all the time is just annoying- a few times our player won the ball but there was no out ball because Kane was standing next to him.

And we didn't see the real Bellingham throughout the tournament- was just running on empty in every game

Spain were just better- quicker, more incisive, stronger, fresher

16.) 15 Jul 2024 20:25:06
You're right BB. I wasn't advocating getting 'rud' of Kane, just thought, injury or not, that kane wasn't giving much and looked slow, that the sub should've been earlier, and let's be honest we perked up after it happened.

17.) 15 Jul 2024 20:49:42
And that's fair enough Abbey, to be honest (like yourself and Greyleg) I personally wouldn't have started him in the final. Because a) he looked injured and b) Watkins proved in 10 minutes that a mobile forward running in behind is FAR more effective in Southgates system.

Sorry Grey but that's (clearly) not what you were saying when you wrote 'Whoever they must ditch Kane' like despite only being 30 he's past his best?! Nothing could be further from the truth if you look at his goal scoring numbers. Like I said before Kane isn't/wasn't the problem, it's that we play a system that doesn't seem to suit his (or our other attackers for that matter) style of play ?

18.) 16 Jul 2024 01:52:43
BullysBoy, is it the system that doesn’t suit Kane or the surrounding players? Bellingham, Foden, Kane and even Saka tend to drift central into the no10 spot. To get the best out of him you need wingers who’ll run beyond him when he drops deep. If the way to get the best out of Kane is to drop Saka, Bellingham and Foden, is it worth it?

19.) 16 Jul 2024 07:24:45
Personally fuser I think it's time for a change, build around the younger guys now. Southgate as given it his best, taken us to the most he could in his time, but who replaces him? who will re structure the team?

20.) 17 Jul 2024 10:27:18
Pretty sure Kane went into final joint top scorer. Pretty sure he also was one of the top scorers in Europe.

When England don’t make it out of the World Cup group with another Big Sam or Roy what will you do then? When there is no Southgate and Kane who will become Englands new scapegoat?

England are the international version of Manchester United. Except MUFC actually won stuff to gain their hubris and arrogance. England has won anything in 60 years.

I’m sorry but Southgate was your best manager in decades. In all of your lives. Remember where England was 8 years ago? No. Of course not.

I predict England won’t make a final for the next decade now. In fact I don’t think they will make the Quarter finals for next decade.

11 Jul 2024 17:52:56
Will Harry play in the final?
Arguably, we have three better options.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 11 Jul 2024 18:29:11
Southgate is so predictable. The only change he'll consider is replace Trippier with Shaw. The whole world knows that the team will be Pickford, Trippier/Shaw, Guehi, Stones, Walker, Foden, Bellingham, Rice, Mainoo. Saka, Kane.

19 May 2024 13:35:41
I think that we'll end the season with a bang. 2-0 Wolves with Cunha and Hwang getting the goals.
It's always a bit sad when a season ends, but I do find the summer exciting with the transfer speculation and action.
I reckon we'll move on a few decent players for big money, but we'll replace them with even better players at bargain prices.
I am confident that we will qualify for Europe next season.

Last match lostcity.
I go for (dream come true)
3-4 whang 3 cunha 1

The close season Jas pretty much sums up how it is or being polite how I see it is exactly the same as Jas.

Add we got the euros to post about England Southgate etc and our players.also targets we may like.
