Wolves are waiting for Lopetegui. I reckon that they are willing to wait until Christmas. He has been number one choice for a long time.

1.) 27 Oct 2022 12:45:22
Maybe.but could be too late by then.
If QPR start to stumble, they could try Beale again!

2.) 27 Oct 2022 18:20:22
If QPR stumble, would we really want an inexperienced manager who is not succeeding in the championship. We should be aiming a lot higher than that. Our current situation reminds of when McCarthy was sacked. Inept board, no plan B and with all due respect a caretaker boss who is out of their depth managing a premier league club fighting for survival. I can only see the same outcome as well - RELEGATION!

3.) 27 Oct 2022 18:29:32
Warm weather camp in December - ideal opportunity for a new manager to get to know the players, a sort of mini pre-season. Maybe Spain? Who knows who might be joining them.

4.) 27 Oct 2022 18:41:57
After Beales comments to Talksport he can do one, he basically said there are 2 places between QPR and Wolves and moving to Wolves wouldn't be ambition for him.

5.) 27 Oct 2022 18:58:58
There ARE 2 places between them and the way things are going we’ll be swapping places at the end of the season. I don’t blame him one bit for turning us down. We are currently a shambles of a club and our situation is an embarrassment

6.) 28 Oct 2022 07:02:46
Chaps, my comments about Beale, were an attempt as sarcasm.
Not a chance of him joining and surely not right for us.
It feels we will knee-jerk into a bad appointment and that will see us down.
I fear a real battering by Brentford.

7.) 28 Oct 2022 11:21:54
Used to look forward to match days, just dreading it now. It's suggested Fosun should sell the club, but who will buy? Like buying a clapped out car!

8.) 28 Oct 2022 12:34:29
Ray, Wolves would be great buy for the right person. good fan base, good income, potential of a great team, why would they be like buying a clapped out car?
Some people on here seriously need to look at glass half full, yes things are bad at moment, but stop with the constant brain drain, we know its bad, we can all see it, but Wolves as a club don't just turn to sh1t because things are bad now, if we were to be bought like before things could really pick up with the right infrastructure in the club.

9.) 28 Oct 2022 16:12:55
Great post Sydney.
This is the tragedy of the whole matter it takes only tiny chnages to turn this around.Fosun themselves showed how its done in their first few years at the club.
Even now we can survive this year and then return to an upward curve next year with only minimal changes required.
Simply appoint a talented first team football manager and let him/her sort out the team and the squad.
Although nowhere near as good/balanced/deep as it once was (or even was before the trolley dash that was the latest poor transfer window) even without expenditure in Jan (as long as we don't sell our best players!) it is surely still better than 3 others in the league.
It will however also require Fosun to remove Jeff or at least ensure that he has no input whatsoever into the football and football finances side of the business merely dealing with the mundane matters that he MIGHT be capable of dealing with such as catering, cleaning and other non football related commerical activities.
This has to happen now/V V soon though as another couple of months of losses and it may then be too late even for a Ferguson/Wenger/Klopp triumviate to turn around

10.) 28 Oct 2022 16:57:21
Agree Future, it has to happen and ASAP, all is not lost yet, some hard work and a lot of bottle will turn this around with the right people in the right jobs, whether its under Fosun's banner or someone else's it can and will happen I believe, Fosun have a big asset in Wolves, a club in the best league in world, a squad full of talent, genuine fans who will come week in week out, same as Newcastle, a great opportunity to get back on the European stage if they get thing sorted, the list goes on, we as a club and fans are an asset to any owner

No problem with tonight's performance and result. I'm much more disappointed at Worcestershire's bad day against Durham at Kidderminster. Up the Wolves, up the Pears.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 21 Apr 2024 07:12:10
I think a better performance than most expected, considering the patched up team.
Some individual performances to take comfort in.
Bueno some good blocks, interceptions and clearances
Joao Gomes getting better and better. A great midfield effort. Plenty of tackles, carried the ball, driving through the centre constantly
Traore thought he had a great game.
Doyle first half particularly, was the leader on the pitch. Excellent distribution
Chirewa a very good start to his career!
So well done Coaching Staff in shuffling a restricted "Pack"!

2.) 21 Apr 2024 13:21:02
Full credit to GON for a highly creditable result against all the odds. Under a previous coach we might have been embarrassed. If Gary gets the support he deserves in the summer, we may be challenging for Europe next season. I've mixed emotions about the Wembley semi today, as we should be been there, but with just ten fit outfield players it would not have been fair on Gary. Wembley can wait.

3.) 21 Apr 2024 18:54:16
I feel exactly the same Deep,
But feel better with Coventry's display nearly winning it from being 3 nil down.

02 Apr 2024 10:38:50
I think we'll be at Burnley 2-0 with Kilman and Toti getting the goals.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 02 Apr 2024 10:57:56
Think it'll be tough lostcity, we havnt won at turf Moor since 2010. They've proved to be abit of a bogey team although we won 1-0 earlier.
There seems to be a thought from a Burnley site that fraser and Hugo beuno will start with RAN dropped. Don't see RAN stepping down myself, but fraser starting a better choice I think. Not sure on this one but will go 2-1 with fraser netting.

2.) 02 Apr 2024 11:15:49
I'll take any win, its important o stop the rot and not to lose, we're down to the bare bones squad wise so hopefully no injuries as well.

3.) 02 Apr 2024 13:14:40
Or any yellow cards

4.) 02 Apr 2024 18:21:49
I'd take any win TBH. A scruffy 1-0 will do. Anything really to keep our season alive.
Going 2-0 Wolves win. Lemina and Sarabia.

31 Mar 2024 17:03:32
You know something, we have a run of winnable matches coming up. Win them all and we have a great chance of European football. Forget the Villa game, if RAN had taken his opportunity we would have won.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 31 Mar 2024 17:21:33
Also we have a game in hand too.

2.) 02 Apr 2024 09:32:48
Take your point Lostcity but this is Wolves we're talking about and winnable matches don't really exist do they? Coventry was very winnable but Stamford Bridge and Tottenham weren't!

27 Mar 2024 08:24:56
I'm looking forward to the Villa match. It would be typical Wolves if we beat them. Hopefully, Cunha will be back and I reckon he'll score a couple in a 2-1 victory.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 27 Mar 2024 09:23:06
Yes. I feel optimistic about Vile away. Cuhna back, Dawson, Bellegarde (not that he's been in great form), but at least we can field players in positions where they're comfortable and effective. Having Cuhna back ( some who can go past players and push the opposition back) will be a massive boost. 1-2 also a Wolves win. Cuhna and Doyle (who comes on as sub to score the winner.

2.) 27 Mar 2024 09:24:06
I think with both teams having restricted preparation on the training ground from the international break having key players away will have an impact on the match.
Who will fair better from thi hopefully its us.
COYW

3.) 27 Mar 2024 11:53:57
The comment from a Villa fan on another site is that wolves always treat the derby as if it was a cup final!Blimey they don’t half big themselves up. Boring.

4.) 27 Mar 2024 13:54:23
Maybe they're worried fromewolf?, Trying to big it up. I reckon the pressures on them and we'll be able to build it up. I'm going 2-1 as well. COYW

5.) 27 Mar 2024 16:08:03
Fromewolf. Just another game for me. Yes it's a Derby but nothing more for me than either Forest or Leicester if they come back up. It might be a cup final for them. Obviously want to win, but I want us to win every game know matter who we play.

27 Mar 2024 01:56:07
Does anyone remember the time an aging John Aldridge (I believe playing for Tranmere), outpaced Wolves defender Kevin Ashley from the half way line whilst attacking the South Bank in the nineties?
He literally left Ashley standing and literally silenced the crowd. Ashley was never the same player after that moment as it shattered his confidence. Memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Lostcitywolves

1.) 27 Mar 2024 07:02:45
I can't remember that specific match mate my memory is rubbish.
But I do remember Kevin Ashley doubting myself but £500, 000 we paid for him from Birmingham of which was a lot of money back then.

2.) 29 Mar 2024 09:08:49
Never the same player, Lostcity? Poor from start to finish in my opinion. Could never work out why we paid so much for him.

Hello everyone. I reckon we'll beat Bournemouth 2-0 tonight with Doyle getting one from outside the box, the other coming from the penalty spot.

Coventry City were worthy winners. If we didn't already know it, today proved that our squad is not strong enough. Anyway, hopefully our injured players will be back soon and we can concentrate on winning a European place. No major problems.
