Random question but does anyone think Joe Hodge still has a future at our place?

The pessimist in me says if Andre comes in then Joao Gomes will leave

I'm not convinced that Johnstone would come in as a no2 again- this is a guy who's been in the England setup not that long ago. Is Sa on his way?

Imagine walking to your local chippy and finding the prices have gone up so you walk away hungry on principle

It's all well and good saying we're not going above a certain price but then it's the last day of the window and you panic buy some crap for the same money you could've got your actual target for

Neto's been great for us in usually the third of a season he's actually been fit- shame to see him go but I always thought it would happen this summer. Good deal for us IF we reinvest some of this and other sales money

I'd have rather kept him and sold elsewhere but hey

While some shop at Harrods, we're left to rummage around the charity shops due to Fosun's declining interest ( (and I did find Johnny Phillips' article very interesting). Maybe (hopefully) the new guy will at least sort the defence out but I still think he'll be working without the likes of RAN and Cunha come Feb with freebies or loaners coming in.

Really we still need similarly decisive action with Shi and Hobbs- I don't know if we can still reignite our relationship with Uncle Jorge but I think he disappeared last time because we were too close to breaking the rules with his 'role.

Maybe just the optimist in me but I still think we can avoid relegation but it's going to be a bumpy ride

Very worrying- not only extending the losing streak but it's becoming more obvious there's a lack of discipline at the club (and that has to be the managers problem)

I believe Fosun/Shi have said GON is safe simply because it would cost to get rid and replace, yet if you believe what you read no-one else wants the job.

Who knows what's next but the coming weeks are massive for this club.

To a point I have sympathy for GON with the clubs 'transfer policy' leaving us dangerously short in key areas but then you make decisions based on what you've got left. Lemina in a back 3 worked for one game then we've conceded 4 in the next two- other teams are encouraged to blood youngsters yet we'll play a midfielder at the back over Alfie Pond, an actual defender.

Monday is another massive game and could be the last game for GON or Lopetegui- the problem is if it's GON then it's not just who comes in but what are they walking into. If I was a betting man I'd say neither RAN or Cunha will still be at the club come February with maybe some 'bargain buys' or loans coming in in the hope they turn out to be decent. Fosun will probably say different but I really don't believe a word they say and haven't for some time.

Hopefully I'm wrong but it feels like the future isn't bright.

I started watching this but like the defence I switched off. I like GON and what he did last season but his time could be at an end

On one side we revert to a Back 3/5 and we actually look like a team

On the other I fail to see how folk are still surprised at decisions going against us when we were the only club to have the balls to try and scrap VAR- we will continue to pay the price for that
