When Champions League teams come calling we are a selling club. However unlike Brighton and Leicester, also selling clubs in that scenario, we do not state a price and stick to it. Both these teams have point blank refused to s3ll their players unless the asking price is et in full.
If Liverpool return in the summer to try and sign Nunes, we should be very clear from the start what the fee will be. If a team want a player badly enough they will pay eg Harry Maguire, Forfana, Marc Cucurella, Dan Burn.
We have been held to ransome for players we wanted and have paid top dollar. Why do we let our players go for what appears to be bargain prices? Let’s hope we stand our ground if prize assets such as Neves and Nunes are wanted by CL sides in the summer.

To be fair. Jota was a sub for us when Neto was in form and we got good money for him at the time.
The fact Liverpool didn't actually pay properly or maybe still have not paid in full is poor negotiating however. And they definitely did us over with Hoever.
Patricio was a star but Sa has proved to be near a like for like anyway.

McKennie was injured for Juve 3 games prior to WC, but if fit he would be the ideal utility player to replace Donk and probably an upgrade attacking wise, so yes a good call I would say.

My comments are borne out of frustration DeadPixel.
It is hard to take that after 3 wonderful seasons and a squad created that took us in to Europe, we are where we are after a litany of transfer mistakes (in and out) in the last 2+ seasons.
