So, Pulis has confirmed that Traore will leave next week if his valuation is met.

wombourneron

1.) 04 Aug 2018 20:32:18
But that is only if the valuation is met and wolves are reluctant to do that but I do hope we get him.

2.) 04 Aug 2018 20:42:43
Just as telling is that Boro have been bidding on Freeman from QPR who would be a natural replacement, think it won't be long now.

3.) 04 Aug 2018 21:22:19
I don't see us spending 18M on vida and traore. I think it will be one or the other.

4.) 04 Aug 2018 21:57:14
Traore bid to go in Monday morning to activate release clause. Nuno sees him as a starter in the front 3 and a back up RWB.

Offer still on table for Zinchenko hoping and pushing for an answer early next week.

Still looking at Mina, Lindelof and Mangala.

Deal for Guedes is just tentative enquiry atm.

If we can get these players in then we have cover for all positions.

5.) 04 Aug 2018 22:36:54
What is your source Dot Cotten?

6.) 04 Aug 2018 23:29:36
Ian Beale.

7.) 05 Aug 2018 03:07:07
Hey if they sign him it will be exciting but I think if that’s our only bug business for the week would seems strange to me, we must be signing 2/ 3 as suggested. who would drop to allow our record signing Traore to play? Watching the game today I looked like we need a strong CB and ST (Leo has lost his lion) + a backup for Docherty.

8.) 05 Aug 2018 14:47:27
Shhh. That is heresy to suggest! We all know Leo is the best striker in the land and he will score loads.

I am being sarcastic. Leo will not score more than half a dozen goals in the Prem. You are the first person to actually notice we don't need another attacker. We need a striker. Right now we have plenty of lamps but not one lightbulb.

But you say anything and you are labelled as disloyal. Forget the fact that to be loyal means you resolve is questioned. That someone thinking everything is okay is not loyalty cause you are only there cause you think it is ok. Someone thinking a ship could sink and staying is loyal.

And I genuinely think that without a striker we will struggle. We will have a load of draws.

9.) 05 Aug 2018 16:18:39
Traore will cost more than 18m according to so called itk sources -figure being mentioned is £26m -this because the £18m activation clause fee is wanted to be payed in full by Middlesbrough but wolves don’t want do that so now talking £26m payed on instalments rather £18m lump sum so if this true expect announcement poss Tuesday 🤔.

10.) 05 Aug 2018 17:52:56
What day do you all expect this deal to be completed?

11.) 05 Aug 2018 22:34:01
Flawed- no one has a problem with peeps saying they would like another striker, truth be told who in the league wouldn't?! What is frustrating though is the fact the the windows still open, the leagues not started but still we get this NOW NOW NOW attitude from many on here like some child in a toy shop! Laurie was VERY clear and VERY open about the transfer window before it started where he (basically) said that with a WC and new window dates it would go right to the wire and be a tough window for all the promoted clubs so tell me how exactly were you expecting things to go? I mean we were LITERALLY told this was how it would be!
The other element of this point that frustrates me Flawed is that what your are basically saying is 'well us fans chatting on a forum can see this ice berg, oh if only Nuno could see it like us seasoned pros' which frankly is an insult to the mans intelligence. So no its not heresy BUT it is VERY patronising to a man who is without doubt the best manager I have seen at the Mol in my lifetime!

Just had the local carpet/ flooring guy in to quote me a job. Loves his footy/ Wolves and has a lot of contacts in the area. Been informed when/ if the Rui Patricio case goes to court and he loses it is in his contract that Wolves will pay Sporting £40m!
His request. Sounds a bit strange but its a funny old game!
UTW.

wombourneron

1.) 22 Jun 2018 16:41:39
Can I ask why we’d have to pay 40m when the transfer fee was around 18m? I’m sure a tribunal would make Wolves pay part of a transfer fee rather than double the original fee?

2.) 22 Jun 2018 17:05:38
The carpet guy was in the room fitting a carpet when Jeff Shi and Jorge Mendes got the deal signed up by Rui. They asked the carpet guy to proof read the contract and countersign it and ecerything!
I thought that was obvious! 😂🤣😂🤣.

3.) 22 Jun 2018 17:34:29
At the very worst, we'd have to pay off the remainder of his Sporting contract which ran until June 2022.

4.) 22 Jun 2018 18:33:43
What a load of crap.

5.) 22 Jun 2018 19:01:01
Hope his carpet fittin is better than his story tellin,

6.) 22 Jun 2018 19:11:45
Don`t shoot the messenger!
Just thought it time I took a bit of flack!
However he is a very good carpet fitter!
UTW.

7.) 22 Jun 2018 19:16:34
Think he was pulling the Rug over your Eye's mate.

8.) 22 Jun 2018 19:28:01
You don`t think I was sucked in do you?
Why cor we ave a loff?

9.) 22 Jun 2018 20:13:19
carpet bagger!

10.) 22 Jun 2018 20:38:27
My "leccy" just done my rewiring. Said we were after a Spartak Moscow
Striker. Bit of a live wire he reckons. I am neutral on this one but it could be positive.

11.) 23 Jun 2018 01:12:30
Sounds as if this carpet man has a problem with his piles.
Lovely story. Wolves agree 18mill for Patricio, then their president demands another 2 mill which excluding inflation comes to 20 mill. We turn that down and then write a contract stating we will pay 40 if Patricio loses the case. How much will we pay then if he wins.
Still I suppose that is the price you pay if you get Del Boy to lay your carpets for you.

12.) 23 Jun 2018 06:13:59
How can he lose a case when he was beat up by fans errr rui you are completely in the wrong you should stay and get pelted again 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

13.) 23 Jun 2018 08:20:34
Yeah and my plumber says there is another deal in the pipeline

I don't know the legalities of the Sporting contracts but I reckon the agents and lawyers do just like Rangers a few years ago when the players declared they were free agents after the club went bust the action is against the players for breach of contract and the players won.

14.) 23 Jun 2018 09:29:19
What about the electrician he’s done a short circuit and got a power cut.

15.) 24 Jun 2018 12:52:20
Even if he loses it won't be 40m it will be a compensation fee more like the 16m-18m we offered them.

16.) 25 Jun 2018 12:08:32
Some people believe anything - apparently Wolves have already agreed to pay for him anyway as they don't want to see Sporting go belly up, it will be 16-18m as agreed before their chairman got greedy

No carpet fitters were listened to in the making of this rumour.

04 Jun 2018 21:57:50
Regarding signings, Nuno has only made 2 "questionable ones". One up top one at the back. Peeps who go down regular will know who I mean.
He has done a great job bringing on established players and integrating the new ones. I have no doubt he (and the owners/ recruitment) will establish us as a force in the Premier.

No news yet on the early bird?

wombourneron

1.) 02 Mar 2018 23:33:25
wot news would you like wombourne? they certainly won't be ripping us of like moxey and co and for once we have a vision so I for one am willing to pay the price is a grand for a season to much?

2.) 03 Mar 2018 07:17:03
I got some news one of them rubbish all over my car windscreen this morning.

3.) 03 Mar 2018 10:09:31
Sorry ment to say rubbish all over my car windscreen.

4.) 03 Mar 2018 14:11:15
On my pension billy, a grand would be difficult to find or justify to the wife!

26 Jan 2018 20:05:02
Oliveira not in the Wednesday 18.
Hmmmm!

wombourneron

1.) 26 Jan 2018 20:16:11
How far is Ipswich from Norwich 35-40 mile.
Hmmmmmm not far to travel to sort out terms. Will really be happy if we sign him.
By the way isn't Uncle Jorge his agent. 😀😀😀.

GodBless All🙏.

2.) 26 Jan 2018 20:17:12
Sorry guys knickers in a twist. This is all getting to me!

3.) 26 Jan 2018 20:23:58
He plays for Norwich?

4.) 26 Jan 2018 20:28:05
Womboure do you mean Norwich😁.

5.) 26 Jan 2018 20:32:34
We've signed Andrea's sondergaard from Odense he's 17 and will play for the under23s very highly rated.

6.) 27 Jan 2018 10:58:34
If Oliviera is on our radar then today’s team news at Norwich might tell a story if he ain’t included
I for one certainly think we need an established striker to not only help us over the line but to help take a bit of pressure off our team especially Leo.
Best of luck to the lads today.

7.) 27 Jan 2018 12:31:53
Must say This transfer window has been particularly boring!
I’m not used to this. 😂😂😂.

8.) 27 Jan 2018 13:00:11
Good things come to those who wait😉.

One for the "silver surfers".
Who was the one armed ref in the 50`s? That`s when refs and linesmen were respected and there decisions accepted by players and managers. Not always accepted from the terrace jokers (but it was all light hearted) . Get rid of VAR and get back to the good old days! Lol.

wombourneron

1.) 28 Feb 2021 20:24:16
Don't know the answer to that wombourneron, but interesting comment from luke Shaw about a Chelsea handball var and a no pen for man u. Apparently Mr. Atwell told maguire that 'he couldn't award the pen as it would cause a lot of talk afterwards'. I havnt seen the incident, but the report is on Sky match commentary. Suspicion justified over VAR use?

2.) 28 Feb 2021 20:59:45
I mean if Chelsea were to lose game, their top 6 position could be endangered.

3.) 28 Feb 2021 21:19:33
Before all of you go onto google.
It was Alf Bond. Remember him well.
Giving my age away!

4.) 01 Mar 2021 14:10:28
Wombo is this a wind up, the joke use to be about one armed bricklayers named Alf Bond . Bricks are laid half bond.

5.) 01 Mar 2021 15:10:47
No its a fact noddy. Remember seeing him down the Mol` on many occasions. He refereed the 1956 cup final. Alfred "Alf" Bond.

6.) 01 Mar 2021 15:41:37
Yes Wombo I can remember a one armed ref but I couldn't think of his name. Just thought I should check.

7.) 01 Mar 2021 15:56:57
One -armed ref in the 1950s? I nearly said Richard Kimble!

8.) 01 Mar 2021 20:22:24
I once played a game of crown green bowls against a bit be armed man, thought this was easy, I lost 21-12,😂😂.

9.) 01 Mar 2021 22:15:49
I’m a retired bricklayer and when I lived in Canada I worked on a site where a one armed bricklayer worked, serious, he would lay the mortar bed stand a brick up on the spot board and put the mortar joint on, lay the brick then pick up his trowel tap the brick down collect the excess mortar and carry on. He didn’t get paid the full rate but was glad to have the opportunity to work.

Didn`t watch the game but Newcastle fans are slating both of their full backs. Neto and Traore licking their lips?

12 Feb 2021 20:57:58
It must be really tough for Nuno at the moment with his family being in Portugal. Not seen my daughter and grandkids for nearly a year. But I do have `er indoors and son at home. Maybe when this C.V. is under control and travel is permitted he will see his family and recharge. Come back as the smiling upbeat guy he used to be, ready for next season.

wombourneron

1.) 12 Feb 2021 22:52:51
We need to know who picked THAT team last night! A head coach needs to have 100% control over such matters, and if they don't there are serious issues. If this is the case, normally a proud man like Nuno would walk away, but these are not normal times, and given his love of the club, city and us the fans he may feel confused or compromised. After all, the great man is only human. That's my twopennorth anyway! FWAW.

2.) 13 Feb 2021 09:02:58
Prestonwolf, There are serious issues, mainly with the coaching methods, Nuno picks the team, great man he is, he can be very stubborn at times.

Looking back to when Neto, Podence, arrived probably on higher wages, then Jota was put on the bench through temporary loss of form, perhaps Jota got upset with playing 2nd fiddle and took the chance to go, injuries apart things have not been the same since, together with mistakes in the transfer market, not getting a really strong midfielder.

3.) 13 Feb 2021 14:09:26
Yeah I have to say guys I think peeps need to stop trying to find a way to absolve Nuno of responsility! Sometimes stuff goes wrong and it doesn't mean there's a shady board member in a trench coat making it so! I'm sorry but these notions that someone else is picking the team or that a coach is dominating his training is tin foil hat stuff! Also it's quite insulting to Nuno to suggest that he's that easily controlled/ manipulated! Was anyone questioning who picked the team/ system after our double over City?! I believe Nuno has more control at our club than the average manager to be honest (I mostly think this because two of the other main voices hired before him have since been let go and not replaced)! Also this notion that transfers in and out don't have any of his input is frankly laughable! There is no way Nuno would stick by Jorge if he felt he was being regularly (and quite publicly) screwed over! Also I think some peeps need a reality check on how much input most managers in the Prem have into the clubs transfer policy. I don't think we are any worse than most, in fact with Nuno being close friends with Mendes I honestly suspect that Nuno has a more active role in transfers than most managers. Like most conspiracies theories I'm afraid the obvious answer is not a popular one so everyone scrambles about for an alternative! Nunos struggling cause he is struggling, could the club do more to support him almost certainly what company can't. However does that mean that someone at the club is pulling the strings and setting him up to fail absolutely not! That's not to say that the current back room set up doesn't have problems but if it does then it's down to human error (probs Nunos) and not some grand evil master plan 👍.

04 Feb 2021 19:29:52
For all you tacticians out there.
assuming vardy is fit how do we play him. high line? if he gets away who can match/ catch him? defend deep with a back five?

wombourneron

1.) 04 Feb 2021 21:02:25
Back five. We’ve not done too badly against Leicester with that set up. Haven’t got the players with the pace to play a high line against Vardy. Think there is a happy medium somewhere, with a back five and wide CBs playing a little higher and moving into space, when it appears in front of them. Can have good possession with back five. In first half Chelsea, playing back 3/ 5, nearly 70% possession. The way they are playing is model we need to adopt. Use the system we have perfected over the last three plus years but with more athletic and mobile back three and centre midfield.

2.) 04 Feb 2021 21:27:30
Coady to kick him early on ( not in the box) Vardy don't like it up him!

3.) 04 Feb 2021 21:36:27
key words - more athletic and mobile back 3 and CMs. We don't have them - ok maybe Boly. But agree 5 at back Coady sweeping to pick up pieces and deny space for Vardy to run into. No idea who plays LWB though and don't want to drop any of our big 3 but guess Podence has to be sacrificed. Neves and Dendonker to give us the best legs in midfield.
Keep it tight and catch them out using Neto and Traore to break.

4.) 04 Feb 2021 22:19:55
Think stopping Maddison and Barnes is more important than Vardy.

5.) 04 Feb 2021 22:27:49
My thoughts exactly. 5 at the back it is. will phone Nuno tomorrow!

6.) 05 Feb 2021 12:49:23
One of Traore, Podence or Neto is going to have to support the weaker full back whoever gets to play out of position this week, however generally I favour the back 5. A point would be a good result against a side that's consistently been a top 6 challenger for a few seasons now.

7.) 05 Feb 2021 15:26:32
whatever team is put out to play well. When in attacking positions much better delivery from crosses and the final pass in the Last third. This will greatly ease pressure off defence. I agree with Arddunby regarding tracking back to support whoever playing out of their position in defence.
We had the good fortune agaisnt Arsenal let's hope we kick on from that.
