Missed 1st half due to 'tech' fault (?) Havn't seen goal. Going on second half we looked fairly well organised at back, Sa looked sharp bar a couple of typical Sa dribbles. Dawson holding it together. Have to say it was good to see Doherty back and reliable.

Our problem is again getting forward and creating chances. Cunha seemed full of energy. Hodges very impressive in ambition. Bueno/neto linking well at times. Fraser and fabio came on up front for 10mins at end, fabio still easily shoved off ball and positioning poor. Fraser for his part showed something of a target. Only a friendly but away at porto a 1-0 mustn't be sniffed at. All abit rough at times, to be expected, but we really need to find someway/someone to give the opposition defence something to worry about.

Unconvincing. Kilman and Sa were the only two who looked the part. Same old issues, unable to move the ball forward with any degree of control. Kept turning and re-cycling the ball from centre backs to full backs who then lump it forward and concede possession. Don’t know if it is just me but I can’t fathom what it is we are trying to do offensively. Desperate for someone who can carry the ball forward from midfield with real conviction.

I thought we looked pretty competitive in the first half Rated. Second half a few too many back passes allowing Porto to get more on the front foot and more of a foothold in the game.

Add to that a deluge of changes and a couple of Sa saves were needed to keep us in it. Still in general we defended well and I liked the look of Fraser, so all in all a decent run out. WE NEED A STRIKER, to put some shape and focus into the attack.

Slept on it and am more despondent than I was last night. I just don’t see any semblance of a system. We have some quality players but I can’t work out what they are being asked to do. Our midfield in particular is a mystery to me. Last year we had Neves as the pivot around which all our play was focused. Even then, the other midfielders’ roles were hard to decipher. The idea that your first thought should be looking to play forward appears to be an anathema to our players. Even when we break the lines, which is rare, we turn back and recycle the ball, either through centre backs or our goalkeeper.
Didn’t see much of JL’s teams prior to his arrival with us to know his preferred style of play. To date at Wolves I couldn’t even hazard a guess at what it is he is trying to achieve.
No Kalajdzic or Hwang last night which is concerning and our lack of pace and penetration out wide, made the loan of Chiquinho a real mystery.
Was hoping for something to hold onto from last night but was massively disappointed. More of a competitive edge to Celtic game, so hopefully we will show a lot more in that game.

Agree with most on the match.
Nunes was impressive for me as he travelled around midfield always on the move and getting in right places. Sa excellent but not every game.
Doc great moments but bit too aggressive at times.
Bueno good but looked out of his depth at times.
Neto ‘speedy Gonzales’ and hungry for it but can’t see that lasting 90 mins. He was our only chance of scoring.
Absolutely hate seeing the ball going back to half way when we’re attacking! Was hoping Lop didn’t encourage it.
Hodge played well as did Kilman and Dawson.
We dominated first half but Porto dominated second.
To say we played a champions league side and won is a positive.
Was hoping this would have been Raul’s year but alas.
We NEED a striker and the least said about Silva the better! (Weak, lost, pulling out of headers, etc. etc. - sorry couldn’t help myself)

Wondering if I watched the same game as others on here. Docherty looked so off the pace, which is to be expected and I didn’t see the impact others claimed Nunes had on the game. I thought we looked like a rudderless ship, totally bereft of ideas. I know where I am laying the blame and it’s not with the players!
