Can anyone share some info about the 4 kids on the bench for me

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2025 19:56:07
Well Sutherland is a left sided wing back similar to Hugo, abit more forward thinking perhaps. Scottish lad. Gonzales right sided wing. Not sure on the others FC.

30 Dec 2025 17:45:04
So here we are and it is looking very likely that soon we have a choice….Edwards or O’Neill (the only people who actually want the job)
Who do we choose fans?
Perhaps the one who has the b**** to finally ditch Hwang to the annoyance of Fosun!

30 Dec 2025 18:33:03
Doesn’t matter who the manager is because it’s the players who don’t have the balls!

Pity we can’t play our Wolves Women team instead.

Don’t care who plays - just score goals and don’t let any in.

30 Dec 2025 19:13:45
Omg. Hwang starts. Why o why, doesn't deserve to start
Is he deluded
Smh.
Now I've slated hwang watch him score

30 Dec 2025 19:14:20
I would take edwards over oneil any day of the week, he knows how to get teams out of the championship at least

30 Dec 2025 19:20:15
Could be a more attacking team without Andre, as long as we keep the goals out we have a chance. Always optimistic before the whistle goes.

30 Dec 2025 19:24:29
At least under O'Neil's team, the team could score giving us half a chance.

30 Dec 2025 19:53:06
Why go back to something that's already failed us? Stick with RE, see how the transfer window goes. We're going down let's not pretend we're not. Get ready for the championshi, a division RE knows.

30 Dec 2025 21:02:07
RE knows the championship but his record is awful. Sacked by Watford after 4 months. Yes he got Luton promoted through the playoffs and was subsequently sacked by mutual consent after getting relegated.oh and he coached Middlesbrough for 3 months! Not what I would call a sure bet to get us promoted.

30 Dec 2025 17:42:54
Nuno.

30 Dec 2025 17:58:39
Time to get over him he isn't exactly doing great at West Ham and he won't come anyway whilst Fosun are here.

30 Dec 2025 12:54:34
I am with you Greylegwolf, next 3 games in my opinion Rob needs a win. Makes you think that new Shi may act differently to old Shi, time will tell. We can’t go on and on without winning a game. Feel a bit sorry for Rob as he inherited the mess, however, results are all that matters.

He hasn’t helped himself with some of the team selections, and I still think results and performances, even with our limited squad should have been better.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2025 15:16:20
Can’t see how you can say I feel sorry for RE . He knew what state the club was in before he came it is in the open for anyone to see how poor we have been he choose to take the job no one forced him . Let’s just hope he can put a few wins together ASAFP . Up the wolves

30 Dec 2025 16:26:49
I see o'Neil is being mentioned, really! Talk about lack of ambition, how about Dean Saunders?

30 Dec 2025 16:29:55
Fair point Billy, also I am sure he is being paid a nice amount and like you say, even before he accepted the job, he should have been fully aware of the problems. In saying this, surely anyone watching would have stopped playing Hwang along with a few others.

30 Dec 2025 16:35:15
With the current players no manager can change the fact is we are going down, we need to build a squad to compete in the championship. So why keep wasting money on a new manager.

30 Dec 2025 16:41:32
Agreed Banksy . Let’s hope for a better 2026

30 Dec 2025 08:32:01
Wonder why Tommy Doyle wasn't in Birmingham's squad last night, or is he still banned after being sent off recently?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2025 09:20:29
He was red carded the other night Doog, most prob a straight red and 2-3 match ban.

30 Dec 2025 15:11:56
OK thanks Abbey.

Rumours going around RE to be sacked loads of rubbish imo. See who Wolves sell in Jan then let RE get his own men in. let's see if any improvement with new signings and outgoings then make a decision.

For people on here saying sack him sorry would Ferguson or Pep or Wenger make a difference no. Simple as Fuson and Shi have screwed Wolves for years now they realise it will cost them more money with relegation.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Dec 2025 18:11:10
The 3 names mentioned as replacements are:

Derek Mcinnes - Hearts
Brian Barry Murphy - Cardiff
Gary O'Neil - Unattached

As much as I think Rob Edwards isn't good enough, I'd stick with him rather than go for any of the names mentioned.

Also, if this is the quality of names being looked at by Matt Jackson and Nathan Shi, we are well and truly doomed.

29 Dec 2025 18:39:48
If you take Rob’s results in isolation, I think it is 7 defeats on the bounce, or is it 8 now, can’t remember. This would normally result in a PL manager being replaced, if it stretches to 10, if there is someone available, and it big if, then I think we should depending on the correct person.
As others have mentioned nobody out there is going to come, shame but reality.

With the transfer window fast approaching I can understand why a normal club would consider their options. Problem has been we have been far from normal for sometime now.

What we do need, in my opinion, when we do get relegated we have to go down with some wins to carry through on to next season, this is essential otherwise we start next season with the hangover of this one.

29 Dec 2025 18:49:01
I can't see RE being sacked, our season can't be saved and preparing for the championship will have to be a priority.
January will see the dead wood going, but who would want to join us now unless they were dedicated to next season?
RE is in a no win situation at the moment when really he is fulfilling the fixture list as best he can with what he's got.

Recruitment and prep in the summer will be his real tests.

29 Dec 2025 18:49:01
Got to give RE a chance. Give him 2 transfer windows to assemble his own playing staff. I think relegation would be a blessing as it would flush out Fosuns real ambitions. I’m a wolves fan of 60 years. Tired of this 5 year nosedive.

29 Dec 2025 19:01:56
DMac - good post.
So much going on and so confusing and depressing.
Where do Wolves go and what should they do?
Re players, posters are correct that selling now will get better prices than this summer however I suspect that most of us will be suppressed and disappointed at just how little that is even now!
Indeed to be honest it is possible that Wolves will even struggle to sell some of this squad, (other than at not insignificant losses), and possibly, given the inappropriate contracts these modest players have been awarded, might even have to pay some of them to go!
Also if you take out Gomes and Andre - plus perhaps Krejci, (if he actually signs), and maybe Emmanuel, and Tolu - this side will not only fail to pick up another point this season but may well drop straight through the Championship.
So the question is if they sell now who should they attempt to sign and who might be willing to come?
I am sceptical that in January Wolves will be able to attract players who will be of the calibre required to alter the doomsday scenario i.e. good enough to survive in the Championship?
Similarly with managers if you sack Edwards who would take the job and would it make any difference?
But for me the biggest question is an odd one you might think - what are the relegation clauses in the "bank loan"?
If, as would seem likely, the bank is entitled, upon Wolves' relegation, to take its repayment from the "charged" parachute payment then either the loan has to be repaid by Fosun - do you see that - or from one of: the player sales or the parachute payment.

In either of those last two cases it is hard to see how the club can meet its ongoing obligations - for example the club, according to the latest accounts, owes other clubs some £70m net for transfers already made.
Jeff said he had a plan but if it is so easy to cut £150m+ from the cost base why hasn't he been able to enact a mere 50% of that so that Wolves were in line with say Brentford and wouldn't have needed to sell a top half of the Prem team over the last few years?
(For example Neto, Cunha, Jimenez, Jota, Neves, MGW, Nunes Kilman, Collins, RAN - ok no gks!)

29 Dec 2025 19:32:51
surprised

29 Dec 2025 20:31:55
Future, I don't know how the transfer market works but if Wolves owe £70m for players they have bought, don't Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City owe us money for Neto, Cunha and Ait Nouri or did they pay all of the money in one lump sum?

29 Dec 2025 20:55:22
Next three games, if it goes that long will determine if they sack RE.
Hes certainly been a mistake.
Be it on his part or wolves,
It certainly will be time to stick or twist
But there's no smoke without fire
Nothing would surprise me this season

29 Dec 2025 22:10:52
Goodwhileitlasted - you are of course correct.
However sadly the £70m is a net number
Wolves, according to the latest accounts were owed circa £65m by clubs for the players Wolves have sold but unfortunately they owed £135m to other clubs for players bought.

30 Dec 2025 05:51:34
Gotta be fair to RE, he inherited VPs squad and their attitude, not to mention the confidence (or lack of).
Their allegiance to us and the cause can also be questioned.
Expecting RE to have the magic personality to win the squad over and get them playing in ways they're not accustomed maybe expecting too much.

Tactically of course he can be questioned, team selection queried, but he's caught between the proverbial to some extent so far.
.
Our season is in all honesty over, and it's really a case of fullfuilling the fixtures as best we can, all RE can do is wait for it to be over, so the dismantling and then rebuilding can begin.

The remaining games should be one of introductions and testers, obviously keeping scorlines to a minimum and also finding players who are enthusiastic in their performance for the old gold shirt.

RE can surely only be assessed after a period of his selection of his required players performing his desired tactics.

To remove him now would be a continued knee jerk to the damage Fosun and VP have done and excusing them from the predicament.

30 Dec 2025 15:26:39
Wasn't Rob Edwards hired to coach them in the Championship?

30 Dec 2025 17:12:09
I think in all honesty we have to write this season off; we're not escaping with only 2 points at this stage in the competition.
With that in mind, we need to stick with RE, he was doing ok at Middlesbrough and has inherited this team.

Let's have a period of stability with a manager who is pro Wolves and not here just for the money, but as someone who genuinely wants what we want.
Talk of him being sacked needs to be shelved in my opinion.

29 Dec 2025 15:15:04
Seeing as all our midfielders are either injured, suspended or crap! Why can't we get Tommy back? While we're about it, also, Raul, Cunha, RAN, Sarabia, Podence, COADY, Saiss, Neves, Nunes, Moutinho, Neto, Kilman, MGW., Vitinha, Leminha, Marcel, Doncker, Fabio, Semedo and Boly! Just saying! FWAW .

Anyone fancy a pint on Ronaldo?

29 Dec 2025 19:41:28
Yes .

29 Dec 2025 21:27:43
Pint or punt, if he's paying we'll all drown our sorrows!

29 Dec 2025 10:14:10
Reaction out there to another defeat seems to be mixed. Some backing Rob to turn things around with new signings, others wanting him gone now with someone else in to oversee new signings.
I would like to think that transfer activity is well underway, however with our management team who knows.
What is everyone’s opinion, do we give Rob time and if so how long?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Dec 2025 10:45:31
It’s a bad look to sack someone after a three year contract (not that I care how it looks for fosun) and on a human level he’s left a club vying for promotion to come to his boyhood club, so would be a little harsh for him. However it’s not working out (with a highly incompetent squad) in the prem, therefore there will be a sour taste for the championship, possibly making it harder to get promoted with rob Edwards as the squad will be lacking in confidence.

I would like to see him try and I think fosun should give him the rest of the season, and give him full control ( with a budget ) over January spending, to see if he can build a squad he believes can get us back up.

29 Dec 2025 11:33:09
Personally Banksy I don't think that he is good enough too defensive with the interim games plus this season he has not taken a single point do you think that is good enough because I don't we need someone with a bit more guile and attacking ability not someone who takes off a defensive player and replaces him with another one I know I'm going to hear who's he got but how do we know how good enough the young players are unless they are given a chance

29 Dec 2025 11:38:27
I know things are tough but like many I’m not convinced Rob Edwards will make a good Wolves manager but I feel he needs time hopefully to prove me wrong. If we are still winless by the end of Feb we will have to start looking elsewhere.

The games against West Ham, Everton, Bournemouth and Forest are the win targets if we draw a blank in these games then I can’t see how he can survive.

29 Dec 2025 12:45:01
I don't really see the point, by the time someone new is appointed, there will be no time left and no window left to sign anyone new. I think RE is here until October at the earliest.

29 Dec 2025 15:17:32
There’s no one else out there who would be interested in taking on the poisoned chalice.
Give him time.

29 Dec 2025 15:56:06
The issue is that Edwards is simply not good enough to turn this mess around. He has clearly been brought in to oversee a promotion challenge next season and if he could get a tune out of the squad this season, then that would be seen as a bonus.

The major flaw is that as we are losing every single game, every last drop of confidence has left the squad and outsiders looking in will simply not want to join this sinking ship in January.

So the big question is do we let this squad continue to lose every game knowing that their valuations will go down?

Identify the players who will leave when we are relegated and try to move them on in January in the hope we can bring in players who are prepared to fight for promotion next season?

Rob Edwards is on a hiding to nothing. He ain't keeping us up but he may be good enough to take us up but between now and then, the fans will be baying for blood due to the turgid performances.
