Hey guys this is my first post.
I have just seen Wolves are interested in Tammy Abraham from Roma once his loan at AC Milan Finishes.
Thoughts?
1.) 10 Mar 2025 07:07:21
He has been of interest before Fc.
With Cunha going and Larson not performing, we will need someone next season!
2.) 10 Mar 2025 09:55:14
Nuno tried to buy Abraham and a price was agreed, about £27mil? Deal fell through on a technicality to do with the number of clubs he would have been registered for that season I think.
3.) 10 Mar 2025 11:19:45
Not at 27 million. Until we know what division we are in and is Cunha staying, all I would say is that he is an option, although I suspect the players preference would be a London club or Villa.
4.) 10 Mar 2025 14:56:44
I don't think Cunha will leave. I'm hoping that his recent sending off has convinced other teams that he has an attitude problem and £62.5m is too much to pay for a player who will be banned twice a season.
5.) 10 Mar 2025 17:09:05
Welcome FcWolves!
I would give him a chance. Experienced striker, British and passionate. May be the ideal time to return home.
If he’s injury free now sign him up!
6.) 15 Mar 2025 18:47:47
Won’t happen. West Ham trying to sign him but his preference is Villa.
We are far more likely to look at Yuri Albert. Linked previously and has worked with Perreria.
7.) 15 Mar 2025 20:47:50
No thank you. There’s a reason why nobody wants him now. His parent club don’t want to keep him, the club he’s been out on loan at don’t want to sign him.
8.) 15 Mar 2025 22:04:00
Performed today didn't he?.we don't play to him.put the ball over into the box more.hes good in the air.he should be able to hold the ball up better.thats his job.but.abraham wudv been a good back then but now.not so sure?
9.) 16 Mar 2025 09:15:30
Tammy Abraham? We have as much chance of signing Tammy Wynette.
10.) 21 Mar 2025 10:30:54

So pumped about that game.
Thinking about moving closer to midtable now.
VP and Luis Miguel serve a touchline ban for the next game sadly.
31 Mar 2025 05:27:18
Goodbye to Cunha.
Great servant to the club.
Wish him all the best for his future.
1.) 31 Mar 2025 07:37:37
Cunha- "I want to fight for titles".
Fight seems to be the operative word!
How many games banned for disgraceful behavior?
A great servant to the club - really!
Not sure about that statement FcWolves
2.) 31 Mar 2025 07:40:47
I assume that second sentence is pure irony Fc.
3.) 31 Mar 2025 09:05:17
You can have all the medals dangling around your neck but a true fighter, a true servant dosnt 'move'in order to prove themselves, stand up Bully, King John, Ruben etc they showed their talent and dedication more than any 'bought' awards will.
It's thanks, but if that's your attitude you don't actually want to 'win' anything.
That said, I do agree withe Rugely below, if our owners show little progressive desire then how do we retain players who want to earn success?
4.) 31 Mar 2025 09:14:38
Let's hope it's a massive bidding war and we get top dollar for him and good payment terms so we can get in adequate replacements.
On another note if we get a good points return from our next two games to virtually secure PL status would you omit Cuhna from the team and give the others a chance?
5.) 31 Mar 2025 10:22:21
I can’t blame Cunha for wanting to get away. I can blame him for getting a four match ban and gobbing off to the media. Until Fosun decide to sell up this is what we’re stuck with and more to follow I’m afraid. Of course you can’t omit him from the team. We need to fight for every point until we’re mathematically safe.
6.) 31 Mar 2025 10:54:11
As long as cunha does what he said he was doing, not leaving a team in a relegation battle, and plays to his full capacity then he has to start blacksford, if it goes the other way where he's walking around, as he seems to sometime then VP has a decision to make.
I hope he plays displays his value and brings us top dollar and the money to build for next year, Fosun permitting!
7.) 31 Mar 2025 11:36:58
We can't expect Steve Bull levels of loyalty from Cunha! Hopefully he will see the season out in style with more goals, ensuring not only our survival, but also comfortable survival. I have a good feeling about next season, with or without Cunha. VP's coaching methods are more effective than GON's very technocratic approach. Nuno has shown what a club of our size can achieve, even though he wasn't given the time necessary at Wolves. I hope that VP is given the backing and the time that he deserves. We need to restore the hope factor that we had under Nuno, instead of flirting with relegation every season.
8.) 31 Mar 2025 11:47:17
Sorry gents but all this frustration seems wildly misplaced, who on here can honestly say they know what lines Cunha was sold when he was bought in? I mean the fact that it was under Lope should immediately tell you that he was almost certainly sold the dream of a progressing club which never really existed!
As for not being a good servant Waggy get a grip! He scored just under a quarter of all our goals last season and (currently) well over a quarter of all our goals this season. Without him we would have been relegated, it really is that simple! If that's not a good servant to the club then I don't know what is exactly?! Good luck to him, he's a top quality player and deserves to play for a club with REAL ambition! Instead of blaming him for having ambition I think one or two would be better placed asking themselves why as a club we do not?! We were years in front of Forest and look at them now, really don't want Cunha to end up there but if he does Nuno will be laughing his backside off! Thanks Jeff ?
9.) 31 Mar 2025 12:46:59
I've got no problem with Cunha going. If we can't match his ambition then why should he stay. The big question is who comes in to replace him? Rumour is that Mohamed Amoura is being looked at as well as as Yuri Alberto.
10.) 31 Mar 2025 13:01:09
Have to agree with your assessment Bully.
He is ambitious, Fosun are not. What do fans expect?
11.) 31 Mar 2025 13:22:53
Can't blame a player for having ambition but can blame a player for stupid petulance that sees him miss almost 20% of our league games.
12.) 31 Mar 2025 13:46:42
Once we are mathematically safe, Cunha should not play for us again. Time to give the players who want to stay at the club some game time so they can develop.
13.) 31 Mar 2025 14:12:20
Seems that Cunha isn't happy about the Guardian report and has claimed that the author has changed it for his own click bait advantage.
14.) 31 Mar 2025 16:36:52
That’s the Guardian for you!
15.) 31 Mar 2025 21:28:51
You can't blame cunha for wanting to win things any top player would move on from us, we're a club that lacks ambition under owners who just want to make money from selling players on
16.) 01 Apr 2025 06:42:47
My 2nd statement was true irony old wulf
I feel great about Mosquera new contract
Good performer this season until injurie
24 Mar 2025 00:31:34
AI has predicted we don't need anymore points to survive. Thoughts?
1.) 24 Mar 2025 01:36:41
I suspect the AI is correct to be honest. But just for clarity here I also suspect that all AI has done is calculate the two clubs below us average points per game tally so far this season (0.59 points per game) and from that decided that both clubs will do well to register another 6 points! Don't want to jinx things but nothing I've seen so far from either team suggests that's far off the mark. We have been VERY lucky this season because those three bottom teams really have been VERY poor! ?
2.) 24 Mar 2025 06:55:50
Spot on Bully.thank goodness there are 3 worse teams. As it stands, we are seriously detached from the other 16 teams.
Here's hoping for better times ahead.
3.) 24 Mar 2025 07:10:30
Never mind artificial intelligence, the clues in the name, what we do know is that we are not statically safe until it is impossible for 3 clubs beneath us to match our points total.
Nothing/no-one can tell what may or may not happen in games to come, a sending off, a penalty etc can dramatically change the situation (s), so we must play and fight every game for every point.
I would, however, hope and imagine the 9 point gap will be insurmountable but the two games ipswich and Leicester are the telling ones. They'll be sure as he'll up for it and we mustn't show any complacency.
AI is no better at predicting results than we are.
4.) 24 Mar 2025 09:41:20
Thing is Abbey that it's not just AI it's also just basic data. 9 points doesn't sound much but in reality both teams have taken 29 matches to get to 17 points, what's changing to that dynamic which would suddenly change those fortunes?! Besides which IF we did manage to go down this season then we'd all just have to take it on the chin because we'd REALLY deserve! Sorry but if as an established Prem team you can't stay up this season then to be frank, we don't deserve to be in the Prem anyway! ?
5.) 24 Mar 2025 10:15:15
We should actually be targeting those above us now. We have both WHU and Spurs at home who personally I think we can beat. I know it doesn't mean much as it's still been a poor season, but even one place higher brings in extra ££.
6.) 24 Mar 2025 10:58:13
I think that in respect to this season we have to be thankful for small mercies, we most certainly would have been relegated if the current whipping boys were not so diabolical.
Next season will be very telling.
7.) 24 Mar 2025 11:15:45
I don’t think AI can have looked at the fixture list, if we get no more points that means Ipswich and Leicester both bet us so they get 3 ech, Leicester and Ipswich ply ech other if Leicester win they are only 3 points behind us, Leicester also have to play Southampton so based on us getting more mor points Leicester could have the same points as us from those 3 games. I think we will be safe if we beat Leicester and for sure safe if we also beat Ipswich.
8.) 24 Mar 2025 11:48:22
The same points as us would likely still relegate them though, when you look at the goal difference. Also you say about them winning 3 more games but they've only won 4 ALL season! I suspect it's all academic as I think we will register more points but I suppose my point is that this REALLY is one of the worst bottom three I think I have ever seen in the Prem! And we are still only 9 points clear of it! If we sell our best players again this summer and don't start learning our lessons then we will get relegated sooner rather than later! No club gets to keep testing there luck by being SO poor up till Jan and getting away with it I'm afraid!
9.) 24 Mar 2025 12:37:56
I think we will survive, but of course nothing is certain in football. I was at Reading when we were stealing the Championship by many points. We were ahead and lost in the dying minutes, and continued losing. We must learn from this that we cannot stand still. The silence from Fosun on our status is deafening.
10.) 24 Mar 2025 12:39:15
Given the amount of player sales everyone seems to be expecting are we confident that their replacements will be any better, or worse as they will certainly be cheaper? Ok that may mean young and gifted with potential but that means they will need time to grow.
Which end of the table do we think they will be at at the end of next season? Mid and safe or back in this situation again as I can't see us being in the top half, unless Cunha get's replaced with a gem. The lack of ambition shown by Fosun must affect the players unless they've already been told they will be sold on at some point.
Cunha to Forest would really grind my gears.
11.) 24 Mar 2025 12:41:34
I absolutely agree with you bulliy, I've said below about games running out etc. And that we should be safe. I was really trying to say AI can't tell anymore than we can. It's like the pointless goal ratio thing tv pundits quote, goal expectancies zero then a team scores.
12.) 24 Mar 2025 18:55:30
I don't think any side has ever stayed up.on 26 points.
13.) 24 Mar 2025 18:57:43
As it stands longmynd, looking at the front line, we can almost certainly say goodbye to Cunha, but then there's guedes and sarabia possibly hwang and forbes back to ajax. We'll, be needing a complete replacement.
Fosun don't show or give any direction/ambition for the future so who joins in a serious sense?
I can't see VP tolerating that and We'll be back to square one all over again, unless of course a new wealthy owner could be plucked from somewhere in these dark global times.
14.) 25 Mar 2025 09:25:38
Abbey/LMW,
What are Guedes, Sarabia and Hwang contributing at the moment. Someone please tell me apart from being a massive drain on our wages. None of the above really want to stay at Wolves. Guedes has publicly said so and Hwang has his head turn by Benfica IMO. Sell them for what we can and reduce our wage bill. Yes we need replacements but they are out there and it's up to VP and the scouts to find them. Young, hungry, ambitious players who want to play in the PL. LMW you mentioned cheaper options. I don't recall us spending massively when we bought in Jota, Neves, Neto, Moutinio, Jonny, Doherty, Boly etc. Great astute purchases who served us well. The trouble started when we started making stupid purchases with inflated wages such as Fabio, Guedes, Semado and thank god we got rid of plug to MC. Even when we bought Cuhna @ £44 Mill did anyone honestly think he was worth it initially?
I'll also ask this question now re Cuhna. Teams will now target him with his volatile reputation and there's probably a 25% chance he'll be booked each game and higher he'll be sent off. We'll then end up playing the game with 10 men, which may cost us the match as it did against Bournemouth. I can't argue against the contribution he has made up to now and without his goals we would almost certainly be closer or in the relegation zone, but you can't build a team on one player. Fosun do have a plan at least short term and that is to keep us in the PL, otherwise why would they have sacked GON (Too late IMO) recruited VP and made some decent signings, none of which I guess we had heard of prior to their arrival. Fosun may well be looking to sell, who knows, but it's a better proposition to a would be buyer if we are an established PL team. Positive signs ahead after removing some of the high earners, those not contributing, in the summer. Onwards and upwards.
15.) 25 Mar 2025 10:43:18
Blackfords, it's not the selling of underperforming or wantaway players that's just part and parcel of the game. It's the continual selling off of our best performers. You may convince yourself that this somehow makes sense but there isn't a team in the Premier League or probably in Europe that wouldn't want Cunha on their books right now, irrespective of any volatility.
Just like Neymar, Mbape and Ronaldo, they've all got it in them and it has to be managed. Occasionally, it flares up, so what? if we weren't constantly stuck down the bottom would it matter if he got sent off occasionally? Cunha has kept us up this year and although I agree it's not about one player how do you keep a team motivated that knows their owners aren't that bothered beyond just keep us in the Premier League lads. How does the Coach/Manager plan for the next season knowing that in some areas he's pretty much got to start again.
Actually Jota, Neves represented record spending by a Championship club at the time to the point that some clubs complained to the League and the rest you mention I would suggest were a product of the Shi/Mendes relationship. That is something you don't hear so much about now, as we seem to have a DoF who know's his job, oh, and less money to throw about.
You mention Fosun's short term plan to keep us in the Premier League, how do you know it's short term? The fact is we are were we are for a reason.
16.) 25 Mar 2025 13:58:25
Beat Ipswich and Leicester. Job's done
17.) 25 Mar 2025 15:56:56
Sorry but this whole suggestion that Cunha is some sort of well known bad boy is absolute nonsense! Do you know how many times he's been sent off in his career up till this season?! Not once! Yes the sendings off this season were foolish but some (not just aimed at you Black) have suddenly decided that makes him some sort of lose cannon which is frankly just nonsense! Did he (foolishly) lose his head at the end of two games this season, yes he did. Does that suddenly mean teams are going to be put off signing him (sadly:) no!
For context here Mitrovic and David Luiz had FAR worse disciplinary records and both went for big money a number of times in their careers. I would also suggest that part of the very reason Cunha has been getting wound up is because he is a top quality player trying to single handedly drag a team up the table/through the cup!
Despite what some may say/think on here, £62m for a player of his quality that has had JUST two reds cards in their entire career is an absolute steal! Let's just hope that fee is a relegation release fee cause if not then yet AGAIN Jeff's decided to flog the family silver for pence on the pound! COYW ??
18.) 25 Mar 2025 19:40:50
I agree with you BullysBoy. Against Ipswich, he was trying to stick up for a team mate and over stepped the mark. Against Bournemouth, Kerkez was having a dig at him all game. A little push here, a little pinch there and it eventually riled Cunha up. I don't think he's a bad boy, I think he's a player who made one stupid decision and was rightfully punished. I too hope the £62.5m is only activated if relegated. I personally don't think he'll leave. His recent interview suggests that he is grateful to the club and he is forever thankful to us and us looking to repay the faith.
19.) 27 Mar 2025 09:22:13
I hope your right on that (staying) buddy, but I worry that what he actually means by 'repaying faith' is that he's stayed till the end of this season and signed a contract?! Especially when you consider how it all that played out:
a) we offer a new contract and all is looking fine BUT then VP (foolishly) calls him out pubically, clearly upsetting Cunha b) E and S then also have a go at him and he responds c) E and S are made to pubically apologise d) Cunhas contract has now been sat on a table for over three weeks with it being signed looking increasingly unlikely and by this point genuine concern we might loose his in the Jan window e) suddenly out of nowhere he's signs and everyone breathes a sigh of relief f) Upon scoring his first goal after signing he notably runs over to the bench and hugs Hobbs (what's noticeable for me is that he doesn't engage with VP)!
I very much hope I'm wrong but I think Hobbs has laid it on thick and basically said 'keep us up this season and we'll give you this (VERY) reasonable release fee to see you on your way come the summer'!
I REALLY hope I'm wrong but that's just how I suspect it's all played out ?
18 Mar 2025 09:05:14
Summed up perfectly Bystander sunny days lie ahead for the Wolf pack.
16 Mar 2025 21:39:31
If we can get some solid signings in in the summer then we can hope for a strong next season. Hopefully Europe is on the way. COYW
1.) 17 Mar 2025 12:03:00
A big IF there Fc, but VP is a good enough coach to be thinking of Europe in the next couple of years. Assuming survival this season, I expect squad building and consolidation in the top ten next season.
2.) 17 Mar 2025 13:53:08
Whoever is signed needs to work out, which is always a risk. The top 10-12 is a competitive set of teams. If new recruits work out then we could be amongst them, but it's not a given. Look at how tight the league is between 4th and 10th. That being said, it's more fun to be competing with them than looking at the gulf between 16th and 17th.

Hello Lindsay,
I live in Australia and Auckland do play in our league and they are top sadly for me as I live in Adelaide in Australia and go to the games. He is doing really well at Auckland and are almost certainly going to win the league. Maybe if the owners fail with this manager and lose him. Corica maybe making a return to the club.
15 Mar 2025 21:10:57
We will qualify for the Europa Conference league next season if we make some good signings
10 Mar 2025 08:55:29
It will be a difficult game. Will love it if we can go and score a few in the game to get spirits up against an abysmal defence. Tough game but hopefully we come out with the win
