I only watched the first half last night, thought we finished the half the better side. It seemed to me after Hwang gave the ball away for their goal all the players stopped passing to him.
As we have said for a long time now, don’t understand how he is playing week in week out.
Amazing to see this morning Hwang played most of the game, did he improve 2nd half?
Happy for a point achieved, now they need 3pts v West Ham and a good performance, we have been here before, good performance away followed by a diabolical home game.

Yes he stayed out there until he got cramp Banksy, even then he laid flat out as we were breaking and we put the ball out for him. Fair enough the mancs hit the ball back to Sa but a promising movement was broken up, surely he could of sat up or something?
Sad as it may sound, hypocritical as I may sound, I don't think we have much option against him starting as it stands, there's no doubt he can run and provide questions for the oppo defenders, it's just what he does when he gets it. He did seem to be closing down on manc players better in the 2nd.
The energy was good last night, the difference in tolu over larsen and the running of mane most notable.
I though Doc lead well, mosquiro over enthusiastic at times, jackson getting where he should be, Hugo almost quality, kreicji getting everywhere, Arias much improved and of course Sa, not just for his scraping save from mosquiro back header but his 3 times punching clearance.
The identity of a pack was there it seemed, and the fact we took a point, maybe deserving 3, shows that if we turn up we can take some pride in the remaining games.

Cheers for the info Abbeywolf. As you say it seems he has to start, someone said he has created 4 goal assists so far this season, unfortunately for the opposition.
Must be frustrating for his teammates, surely they must question why he is playing, realise we are struggling for players at the moment, however last night at HT or 60mins I thought Rob would replace him, even with one of the younger lads.
Onwards and upwards regardless 🤞

Good performance last night and nearly got a win with Krejcis shot and Mosqueras follow up great header for the equaliser. The game clarified that Larsen cannot play as a target man Tolu did well at keeping the ball but it kept coming back when Larsen came on. If he stays I would play Larsen on the left with Tolu down the middle and drop Hwang who once again gave the ball away for the goal.
Mane was great again and with him on the right it will really stretch West Ham. The question is do we bring Andre back in as he an Gomes play the same role. Jackson was a threat and would keep the back five the same for West Ham. COYW

Excellent performance last night after conceding a soft deflected goal. What is really tragic is that we have now proven in a few matches that we can match the likes of Spurs, Brighton, Villa, Arsenal and Man U when we put our backs into it.
Too late for this season though, short of a miracle. Sa saving us from yet another own goal was probably the save of the season for him.
31 Dec 2025 11:46:45
Hwang signed a new 5 year deal at the end of 23 I think, so he's 2 years into a deal until 28, no idea if he started or was involved in every game unless injured since then which would surely be the case if he has a contractual obligation to start.
31 Dec 2025 12:09:28
I would seriously consider playing Hugo in hwangs position with Wolfe behind.
Hugo started as a frontsman before dropping back, he can cross the ball and scored several for the U21. He and Wolfe overlapping would surely give us better outlet that Hwang, but as you refer to Arddunby, we don't know the contractual appearance agreements.
31 Dec 2025 14:06:03
Hugo Bueno should have started on the left yesterday with Wolfe behind him. Hwang offers nothing. Gonzalez, Lopez (if he stays), Rodrigo, Bellegarde, Mane, Arias are all better options than Hwang as they all try and attack.
31 Dec 2025 14:45:22
I add Liverpool to the list of teams we have played well against this season, namely Spurs, Brighton, Villa, Arsenal and Man U. Is Hwang just being played out of position? He's more dangerous centrally and he's fast.
He nearly scored against Arsenal when he broke away pursued by an Arsenal posse. Against Man U he had at least a couple of shots at goal, off target, but shots all the same. The Sky commentators said he had a good match.
31 Dec 2025 17:01:19
Hwang had 2 shots yesterday which were both wide, high and handsome. He mis kicked the ball into touch when clear in the box and trying to cross. He was dawdling on the ball when Heaven dispossessed him and we conceded. Then a few minutes before we scored, he was just outside the Man Utd box and had 3 players (Arias, Gomes and Tolu) to pass to but he panicked and got easily tackled. He isn't good enough.
Over the last few seasons if say, Jimenez, Jota, Sarabia, Cunha or even Guedes were clear through on goal, the fans would expect them to score and be surprised if they missed, whereas with Hwang, you expect him to miss and are surprised if his shot is on target.

I was calling for Mane to start at beginning of season and some said he's not ready, I think he has proven he is ready.
The lad is a great prospect.
Mosquera nearly had one of those football comedy moments too with almost a own goal which Sa did superbly to prevent.
Hwang well Jeff I hope the shirt sales were worth it he is so bad time to sell him.
The whole team did well and a very good point, i've said it before it only takes for us to go on a bit of a run of good results and we'll be back in the mix let's hope tonight is the start of that run.

Agreed Rated.
Better team display last night. Hwang was a little better but gave away the ball for their first goal.
I would have kept Tolu on, especially as his replacement, Larsen, did F All as usual.
Against my better judgement Sa was a man reborn and fought for his place well.
Mane was also on a mission going forward but had no real support at the key moments.
Overall, pleased with the team and as you say hopefully start of a run. It’s been a very long time but now I can say I’m looking forward to the West Ham game!

Mane, reminds me so much of Robbie Keane.Hope we can keep him longer, though, FWAW .

I couldn’t watch the game tonight as busy but sounds like we did well. Another point away at Man Utd which can’t be bad and avoided getting some more unwanted records which is good. Now to aim for avoiding the worst team in the prem record and who knows what 2026 can bring.
I feel like we are improving every game under RE, hope for our first win at the weekend, big game that could change the outlook.
31 Dec 2025 05:35:35
I didn't see the game but have read that Larsen was booked. Was it for being on the pitch?
31 Dec 2025 07:28:31
It's for pantomime dame next year OAP, no he fouled Cunha I think trying to keep ball up their end after an awful corner from Hugo fell short.
30 Dec 2025 22:15:59
Another point so I’ll take that. Hwang was a waste of space . Mane was terrific again but was tiered in the last 15 mins.
JSL was an absolute disgrace however hats of to Tolu.
At least Doc and Mosquera tried to drive forward and a nice goal for Krejci.
Gomes was not at the races but Areas put in a good performance.
Still going to be relegated but we must get more than 11 points.

My thoughts exactly Nando.
Everyone who started bar Hwang did well. Tolu looks so much better than JSL.
There were moments in the match when Arias and Jackson were free on the right hand side and Hwang had the ball, but rather than try and get the ball to them, he more often than not decided to slow the play down and then pass the ball backwards.
30 Dec 2025 22:49:27
Lost momentum when tulo went off, JSL did nothing
31 Dec 2025 07:33:45
Funny thing is the sky commentary, neville and whoever thought Hwang had put in a lot of work last night 'driving forwards'. Dunno if they were being polite or sarcastic, but he even broke up our attack by staying down with abit of cramp necessitating us to put the ball out for him.
He was in no where land from the off, falling over his own legs, mis passing or shooting off target. Surely we're not the only people to see he's a waste?
31 Dec 2025 13:40:52
Wolves should come clean on why Hwang gets in the team. Surely no self respecting coach would have him anywhere near the starting eleven. Your job hangs on results Rob so for goodness sake get rid. If he has to play let the fans know because it is embarrassing.
30 Dec 2025 21:11:41
I rest my case on Hwang (see earlier post)
He offers nothing except failure and incompetence, please get him off and out of this club!

Some positives in tonight’s performance, back five and goalkeeper all good with Mosquera outstanding. Gomes looked better without Andre than he does when they are in tandem. Couldn’t work out who played alongside him but Arias was more involved than any other game to date. Mane shows some fantastic touches and has the enthusiasm we need all to show.
Agree that Hwang is a liability, really poor decision making, including losing the ball cheaply, which led to their goal. Tolu held ball up and won aerial duels, replaced by JSL who did jack! Sell him and Hwang asap. Get some good additions and the miracle could be on.
30 Dec 2025 22:37:14
Forgot to give a special mention to Doherty, who led the team with a brilliant performance as central player in back three. Give him a break and never ask him to charge up and down the line as a wing back again. Back three on right or in the middle will be thebwaybwebwill benefit from his prem experience.
30 Dec 2025 20:44:37

Agree. Awful. He offers nothing
Surely off at half time
30 Dec 2025 21:03:40
Seems that whang had to play, every manager has played him, got to be from above, he is awful.
30 Dec 2025 21:07:30
Come off it Greyleg. He offers wayward shots that keep fans on their toes and losing possession in dangerous situations so that opponents can go on and score.
30 Dec 2025 21:07:52
Hwang shouldn't be starting he's a liability and dosnt assume any position as far as I can see. Mane is going to run himself out but he's giving the effort we could do with others giving.
30 Dec 2025 22:19:44
Great effort second half and both unlucky and lucky to some extent. Can we show that at the mol on sat?

Hwang tolu and mane to come good tonight 3-2 wolves. (Dreaming again). COYW
30 Dec 2025 20:27:54
Hwang doing his usual thing in the opening 10 minutes. Running around like a headless chicken and when he does get the ball, he slows down the play and then passes backwards.
30 Dec 2025 20:44:31
Get Hwang off the pitch NOW. Dispossessed by Heaven when under no pressure leading to the goal. He is awful.
