Are any of us really surprised by today? I'm not if I'm honest. Hope only get's you to 3.00pm in a good place but the following 90 minutes just underlines and confirms the suspicions I've harboured and articulated over the last 5 years or so. Because Shi/Fosun are football illiterate it only needs someone, player or Manager to turn up and promise to not rock the boat and they're in.

Somebody needs to remind them that this isn't a social club or a golf club but a football club playing at an elite league level, but on the basis of that performance not for much longer. It will take a significant influx of decent players in January to perform not a minor but a major miracle. Unfortunately I think we all know that won't happen so I would suggest our fate is well and truly sealed. Fosun have no intention of stopping the rot, frankly the Summer window and the goings on since have proven that.

Now some will say it will take a while for RE to make his mark, fair enough, if that mark is worth making, personally, I'm not convinced and see this as an appointment along the lines I suggested earlier. Fosun have zero ambition for the Club and haven't for years so for me the sooner they've gone the better.

My problem is Shi/Fosun have been involved with this Club for 9+ years. As a result, it is ridiculous they remain football illiterate.
Poor planning and the lack of the creation of a sensible strategy, not just words and then blind panic has created this situation.
The January transfer window will not save us this time.

Allowing Shi to appoint himself Head of Football was crass. What a mess he has created.
Not sure of Edward's decision-making either. Appreciate he loves the Club, but he must have known the risks.
I just can't see any positive way forward and that makes me very sad.

Can someone tell me how whang keeps getting on the pitch 2 munutes he gave the ball away and Palace score. Plus why play to strikers both over 6ft but there's no service no wingers nobody to create anything for them.

i'm sorry but Edwards must be blinded by what he sees in training because on the match day nothing happens. And your first sub is to bring Whang on there's something not right.

As long as Hwang and Toti continue to play for us, we are doomed. All of the hard work and effort by the rest of the team is undone as soon as either of these 2 go anywhere near the ball.

How Hwang gets into the squad, let alone the team, is beyond me.

I watched the other fans sat around me when the sub of Hwang was announced and every single one of us dropped our heads and knew he'd be his usual useless self.

Edwards has some BIG calls to make but I think that ultimately, Fosun will insist on Hwang playing as he brings in the money from the Asian market.

I’ve played a bit of decent football and coach at a semi pro level so am I crazy to suggest Hwang is not a prem player.
Also what did Arias bring that was better than Tulo?
Are Andrea and Gomes just to similar?
Why would you take off our best player Krejci.
It appears Edward’s has been brought in for next years championship campaign.

All I can guess is Hwang is being rewarded for efforts in training. I've played in Asia, I imagine Hwang is just like a majority of Asian players I've played with, Does exactly what the manager asks of him week in week out during training, probably ticks boxes during matches when it comes to stats, could probably recite any instructions given to him and the entire squad but on match day lacks ability to compete when not in a controlled environment.
