Manager and players expressed we needed depth yet we loan one in loans one out I think we have a smaller squad to when Nuno was here 🙈 plus Jimenez has been out for 13 months he might not be the same player I think they have got it totally wrong this transfer market surely they can't expect a top ten finish this year?

1.) 01 Sep 2021 13:32:46
After that fiasco I reckon they have no right to expect a finish above top 20. All I can say is that Lage (or whoever) must really rate Cundle and Jordao ( although is he even fit? ) because it will only take one injury to the midfield senior players for these youngsters to become extremely busy. I cannot understand the MGW loan as he had the potential to gain more experience on the job at the Mol than in stainless steel country languishing at the bottom of the Championship. Bizarre.

2.) 01 Sep 2021 16:53:02
Don't think Lage had anything to do with it, Mike, as he was previously quoted as saying that he needed three or four quality additions. The Kiefer Moore enquiry smacked of the not so good Ray Hankin acquisition all those years ago.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 17:01:55
Not seen Jordao play, has anyone?
He is 22 and cost £8 mil. He is certainly old enough, anyone know if he's is fit?

4.) 01 Sep 2021 20:27:37
Jordao is injured should be back October time.
Seems to have an injury all the time.

5.) 01 Sep 2021 20:50:28
Tks Madman.

6.) 01 Sep 2021 22:22:36
Jordao is a good little player, similar to Podence but more suited to a central/ attacking midfield role. He has had a lot of injuries but was more highly rated at Lazio than Pedro was when they were there together. Seen him play and he has good vision and passing aswell as being good on the ball.

7.) 02 Sep 2021 10:15:27
Since you have an ear to the inner sanctum at Lazio, Wolfflea, do they rate Luca Romero higher than Marco Bertini? Just wondering which one to go for in January. Maybe both.

8.) 03 Sep 2021 05:20:33
What I am struggling to understand is we have a manager with a reputation for developing young players yet all we seem to be doing is sending them all out on loan. Some, such as Gibbs-White and Marques, need to be playing in the PL, not heading out on loan again. The way we are loaning out players does bring into question whether Fosun are being honest about developing players for Wolves rather than other teams and is their commitment to Wolves actually there? Just look at Pedro Goncalves a couple of years ago - apparently no good for Wolves and released yet now a full international. I will never understand the thinking on that one. Even in the Under 23s he looked something special.

9.) 03 Sep 2021 13:02:49
Can't comment on Goncalves, Tubigon, but isn't Marques only 18? Also, he's behind many others for a central defender berth so surely it makes sense to loan him out to gain first team experience. MGW is a stranger one. Few would think him good enough to be a starter but it would only take a couple of injuries or suspensions to push him right up the pecking order. A chance has therefore been taken in letting him go although he clearly needs game time to develop.

10.) 03 Sep 2021 19:42:59
Tubigon, football if full of wonderful mistakes that wouldn't have happened with hindsight - De Bruyne being rejected by Chelsea, Harry Kane by Arsenal, Ruud Gullit by Arsenal and Ipswich, Roy Keane by Villa and Sterling at QPR. The list goes on and on, but sometimes we as a club benefit from other clubs mistakes, think Bully, Robbie Keane and Lescott.

11.) 07 Sep 2021 18:47:21
Best and most famous one Jas, the story goes that Diego Maradona tried out for Sheff Utd as a youngster and was told he was to small for football! Classic five live story! 🤣👍.

31 Jan 2021 06:51:54
We are in a relegation battle n hearing saiss on his way to Liverpool is a mistake we need him for this battle I would rather him to moutiniho any day loads will disagree but saiss adds grit goals n passion people say adama hasn't score in how many games n quick to run him down but when he's on bench I now most wolves want him on I don't get it moutiniho when was his last assist or goal?

Please tell me if I'm wrong on this also our championship side who got promoted would beat our side what we got now not because of talent but because of momentum were taking that desire I thought I'd never say this but Nuno has been felt with bad look yes but is he capable for this fight we have on our hands.

1.) 31 Jan 2021 08:50:15
Nuno has to go, this run is terrible and he has no idea what to do. We need new ideas, we have no spark.
It is no joy now watching the team, Nuno has had enough time to improve results but its just not happening. Goals are not coming we need new ideas quickly.

2.) 31 Jan 2021 09:22:42
Our defence is under the microscope due to our lack of goals at the other end and our style which relies on us keeping what we start with. Unfortunately our previous capacity to keep clean sheets is no longer the case. There are reasons for this but there are also solutions.
If we keep Saiss, and it appears to be a big if, as his contract is up at end of this season and the present rumours of a January exit, then we need him to be the pivot of our defence. He can play in a back four, which unfortunately I don’t believe Coady can, and he is enough of a player to be the free man in a back three. He is quicker than Coady, better in the air and better at tackling. Add the goal threat he poses, then I think he is a better option than the captain.
Doesn’t give me any pleasure to say this but teams identify weak points in the opposition and getting their striker up against Coady is something teams are looking to do. We are dropping too deep and having to make tackles in our box, which is not something we are particularly good at doing cleanly: hence the number of penalties conceded.
The solution to our defensive frailties is in house, I believe, especially with imminent return of Jonny but centre midfield requires additions or a change of role for present players.
Watching other teams, they all appear to have centre midfielders capable of running forward with the ball, to break the lines. (Smith-Rowe at Arsenal has added that dimension and turned around their season) Neither Neves or Moutinho can do this, lack required speed and athleticism. Could Dendonker do other than the ten yard negative passes, he must be instructed to play. He has the speed and athleticism but not sure if he has the skill required to drop a shoulder and create the gap to exploit. Otasowie looks a prospect, with the attributes to play that role, but understandably our present position has the manager choosing experience over youthful potential. Is there a signing in the offing to provide this type of player?

{Ed001's Note - Coady was player of the year for the Championship in midfield the season before you signed him from Huddersfield, could he be the answer in there?}

3.) 31 Jan 2021 10:29:57
Our midfield has not been playing well all season. They seem frightened to go forward to have go at goal. We are too slow going forward. Neto is too fast for the midfield he has no one up front with him. Midfield have lost confidence. Neto tactics are confusing we are not creating many chances. Coady seems to have lost confidence, he needs a rest.

4.) 31 Jan 2021 13:42:40
Worth a punt I'd say melo7.

5.) 31 Jan 2021 16:07:47
The issue is our midfield it's just none existent, Tuesday I would go for Owen and Vinthia in midfield give the likes of Dendonker, Mouthino and Neves something to think about show they are not invicible but sadly Nuno will stick to plasying his mates.

6.) 31 Jan 2021 16:13:06
Melo7 you and the rest are bell ends. Where was you when nuno took us up. You think we have a god given right to be top 6 or 4 club. Look at arteta and how he has turned arsenal around. Yes we haven't won for a while, most teams will have a run like us. And who would u have the big fat Spanish waiter. Get behind nuno and support the bloody team.

7.) 31 Jan 2021 16:55:18
You'll find we've been well behind Nuno and the team all season Demon, no need for your abusive comment.

8.) 31 Jan 2021 17:27:48
Surprised that got passed the eds.

9.) 31 Jan 2021 18:15:57
Same here Matt mate considering some stuff I posted that was way tamer never did.

{Ed001's Note - that was my fault - I meant to hold that for Ed033 to delete his account and must have knocked the wrong button! Apologies, the bell end is clearly me for the error as that is far too nice a word for the knobber there. Sorry about that, it is editing on my phone I can't see all the edit page at once and have to scroll it across, which sometimes leads to me accidentally checking one of the check boxes.}

10.) 31 Jan 2021 18:56:37
No worries Ed thanks for commenting.

{Ed001's Note - I am just sorry I didn't notice sooner.}

11.) 31 Jan 2021 19:19:04
Easy to make mistakes Ed mate you should see the ones I make, I once sent of the wrong contract to the wrong company lol.
You EDS do an amazing job here :)

{Ed001's Note - ouch that could have been a major issue, I hope you sorted that one out ok?

I can't take the credit, just 99% of it ;-)

12.) 31 Jan 2021 19:57:26
Yeah thankfully company laughed about it said it woke up their chairman, he was like "we are a car company why are we getting a contract for hops? " lol, funny thing is that same month I got employer of the month for securing a multi million pound contract too.
Shame those days are long gone now thanks to my mental health issues.

{Ed001's Note - sorry to hear that mate. I hope you are doing ok with the lockdown?}

13.) 31 Jan 2021 20:10:32
Yes Ed mate cheers I think you guys sometimes get the brunt of my frustrations though lol, luckily I have a huge backlog of games to get through which is keeping me busy, hope you're doing ok too.

{Ed001's Note - that's fine mate, I don't take anything to heart. Sometimes we just need to get stuff off our chest. What I tend to do if someone is abusive or annoying me or something is type my reply (which is usually full of expletives), then get up, walk round the room, delete it and start again. And I do that over and over until I can eventually reply in a calm manner. Or at least I try to do that, it is not always possible. So don't worry. We get a lot worse sent to us than anything you have ever sent in.}

14.) 01 Feb 2021 00:16:49
Rated - I am always happy to read your posts and am delighted if this site in some small way can help with whatever problems you may have. As I am sure you are aware they are far more common than most people imagine. Keep your chin up.
Sorry the team aren't doing their bit to cheer you up but in reality we all know its hardly the most important thing out there.

01 Feb 2020 01:39:36
Me personally I think fosun are getting it so ryt recruiting young hungry players I now it can be frustrating hearing a signing for the under 23s but even if two of them can progress and kick on n make the grade the money we can save will be imence fosun r smart business people ie Bennet free transfer hopefully make 5 million if Leicester make the deal permeant in my eyes take that of the money we paid for podence that's 11 millions we paid and I think he's going to be like the new hazard of the prem.

1.) 01 Feb 2020 02:10:34
With prodence being bought in, jota or neto can play in Rauls role if need be.
Plus i'm hearing that Campana lad is pretty decent too.

2.) 01 Feb 2020 07:59:57
How many minutes total did Cutrone get? Raul played something daft, can't remember the stat. He is a machine.

Striker wise I imagine it's why it may have been a tough sell to most.

Just give Campana a go when rarely needed. Long season obviously and injuries happen in football. Not Naive. got to be worth a punt on the lad. Bigger teams chuck the youngens straight in.

01 Feb 2020 01:33:41
I think personally the kid we had from Rochdale is a great signing next season be around the 1st team n hope dadishov gets abit of game time really like him tbh and proves himself and proves you don't have to spend big all the time.

1.) 01 Feb 2020 12:17:59
Always a gamble buying someone on the back of a small number of star performances.

Memories of Freddie Eastwood, star at Southend.
And Nakhi Wells never quite made the big time.

On the other hand, James Madison seems to be doing rather well. Let's hope he's more like that. got to trust Nuno!

28 Jan 2020 22:06:30
Daniel sturridge is a target for wolves some fans might not like this but he knows where net is and me personally new him when he played at cadburys and played against him and he's down to earth and considering how's his career has gone lately can see him coming to prove a point and will wait for his chance and hearing we could get him for 4 million definitely take him instead of that Nelson personally think Nelson Olivier's is absolutely rubbish sturridge champions League experience n goal record also good pick him over Nelson hands down!

1.) 28 Jan 2020 22:29:19
Are you kidding mucker?
Sturridge has a good record 5 years ago but his record over the past 5 years consists of a medical record and that is all.
I wouldn't reduce the club to this I'd rather see a youngster given a chance.

2.) 28 Jan 2020 22:45:26
Spot on Madman. Sturridge. No way. Would be a desperate move by wolves.

3.) 28 Jan 2020 23:35:18
He does know where the net is but sadly he's also made of glass! Look at our previous business with Fosun and it falls into two categories either older and free or younger but will retain a re-sale value which does he follow? I also don't rate Oliveira but by all accounts they don't want to stump up the fee required (probs cause they know his true value) so I can't see them paying £4m for a 30 year old striker that hasn't managed more than 20 starts in a single season for over 5 years?! You speak of his goal record but in his last three Prem seasons he's scored two goals a season (none in his last in fact), hardly prolific is it! As I've said before its a rumours page so creating rumours is part and parcel they just work better if they are believable! COYW ;)

4.) 28 Jan 2020 23:52:16
Radio- quite a star studded life you lead, ya pop to Asda and ya see Memphis Depay you go to Under 7s football and you play with Sturridge what are the chances! More to the point what ARE the chances of you even knowing or remembering his name if you were both 7 and he was just another player?! Do you remember the name of all the players you came up against at 7 then? Sturridge is a pretty common name but you randomly remembered it for all these years despite him just being another oppo player at the time?! Haha, keep um coming Radio but as I said at least do us the courtesy of making um believable eh COYW ;)

5.) 29 Jan 2020 07:53:44
Under any other manager, I would laugh at the sturridge rumour. But with nuno and his backroom staff they have done brilliant keeping our players fit. Not many players end up injured. Boly we don't know the full story. Vinagre hamstring and its surprising that traore has not picked up a similar injury. A rejuvenated sturrige in this team will score goals.

6.) 29 Jan 2020 08:16:34
Well I’ve just walked past greggs in Wolverhampton city centre and saw ronaldo, Messi and Ramos all buying vegan sausage rolls! Must be them although I only saw the back of their heads 😂😂😂👍.

7.) 29 Jan 2020 09:39:59
Meanwhile, from Sky Sports this morning:

Wolves have agreed a £16.9m fee with Olympiakos for winger Daniel Podence. Podence will fly to the UK on Wednesday to undergo a medical, with personal terms already agreed.

Where are all the 'Podence-deal-dead' fake fans now?

8.) 29 Jan 2020 11:59:02
Sturridge! 'im 50 with a knackered back and dodgy knee and I'll wager I'm still more mobile than he's been for the last few seasons'if he's the answer'were beyond hope. UTW.

9.) 29 Jan 2020 12:45:39
I’m sat up a tree outside Trabzonspor‘a training ground and Iv seen Sturridge training - there’s no substance to this rumour!

10.) 29 Jan 2020 12:47:00
The thing I don't get with this rumours is that both Wolves and Villa could have had at the start of the season for free both clubs choose not to! So what 4 goals in 9 games at a VERY average level is suddenly going to make both teams offer £4m for him?! If he wasn't worth the contract three months ago why would we now pay £1m per goal when NOTHING has changed in his ability or fitness status exactly?!

29 Aug 2021 18:33:26
3 games no goals 🙈.

1.) 29 Aug 2021 18:53:37
We played some outstanding football today and were the better side especially first half and although we missed chances we had no luck . Jimenez needs a few more games to get back on track but if we keep playing like we have this season we’ll be ok. Don’t know about this Korean guy we signed 3 goals in 29 games but you never know.

31 Jan 2021 06:54:59
We have how many strikers on our books in the u23s why waste 35 million on Silva was a massive mistake when that money could of gone on attacking midfielder what we need vitihna no good for us n ain't no good nouri I don't get the hype yea he's young could improve we've got that impression we guaranteed 7 place in the PREM n it's bull were not u see it coming with Bournemouth seen it coming with Watford same will happen to Sheffield n Leeds next year u cant sit still we was lucky that the likes of Everton Southampton was going through transition last year were are far from a top ten team for a top ten team u need cover for players if the y get injured we haven't as proven.

31 Jan 2021 06:53:25
I know it's unlikely but considering our form and Newcastle getting a win today n plus I see Brighton beeing safe n westbrom got the manager with skill set to keep them up should the loyalist to Nuno contemplate we need need fresh ideas fresh tactics n new manager cutrone going out on loan just proves to me Nuno is stuck in his ways if cutrone leaves n Jose gets injured we back to a 18 year old who coat us 35 million n not blowing my own trumpet I could do better as I was playing professional bfootball at that age and 1st thing I wasn't reached was trap a ball n don't let the ball bounce and don't ball gaze if I played like that at that age for the team I was at I wouldn't be playing again I'd be playing Sunday league football 🙈. semado been best player for us so far shows quality and fight.

1.) 31 Jan 2021 09:35:24
Let's be clear. Nuno does not have the final say on who comes or goes at wolves. That has been made absolutely obvious over recent months.

2.) 31 Jan 2021 10:21:21
The Coaching staff must take responsibility for how we play, its up to them to instruct how we play.

The defence is adequate to cope

Midfield big problem, surely its up to coach to stop this sideways passing, Moutiniho is only capable of doing 4/ 5 yd back/ sideways passes, Nuno does not seem to want to drop him.
What's happened to the delightful long Neves passes.

Where is Podence suppose to playing, there is no link between him and Neto. No crosses to the front man

IF the midfield is sorted it will ease the pressure on the defence its no good having a striker who does not get any service, Jimenez covered up the cracks we have had for a long time.

Its no good having these young lads on the bench like Owen Otowasie if you don't play them.
We need to win 6 games or go down.

But its up to the coaching staff to solve the midfield.

3.) 31 Jan 2021 19:07:30
Shares-fella we don't know how much sway on transfers Nuno has, what we do no is VERY few managers in this league oversee transfers these days. In fact Jose was recently pointing out that Liverpool are one of the ONLY clubs in the entire league where the manager has the final say! The system seemed to be working fine when we bought Jota and Neves into the Champ didn't it?! As I've said before if Nuno didn't like the way the club was run then why sign a three year extension?!

01 Feb 2020 01:41:59
I've been a wolves fan for so long I'm so excited ryt now just abit disgusted at sky sports this window has all been about Fernandez and man United we are the sleeping giant that has awakened and were coming n when we take over we can say f u to the so called big clubs.

1.) 01 Feb 2020 02:11:47
SKY are has beens if you can get it mate I highly recommend NBC sports much less biased on there.

19 Jan 2020 13:16:46
Great to see another comeback, but seeing benno wasn't on the bench today got me thinking if he's on his way out.

1.) 19 Jan 2020 14:58:50
I hope not.

2.) 19 Jan 2020 17:49:20
I heard he had a cold.
