I was speaking with some fans as I was leaving Molineux today. They had heard a rumour that Guo has personally intervened and removed Jeff from his post. The reason being that he could see that his disastrous tenure is almost certainly going to see us relegated. Guo has allegedly approached a number of high profile people with experience of running football clubs but none of them were prepared to work with Jeff.

They also said Daniel Levy had been approached to take over as Executive Chairman and Dan Ashworth as Sporting Managing Director. Both turned down the offers but may reconsider now that Shi has gone but are not that keen to lower themselves to a Championship club which is what we soon will be.

Guo has taken the decision to remove Shi as he had basically turned the club into a laughing stock.

Utter and complete garbage

20 Dec 2025 21:34:58
Dan Ashworth would be a good idea. It would be good to see players develop through the academy and set up similar scout networks to Brighton and Newcastle. The West Midlands and Shropshire must be rife with quality young players.
Levy very similar to Shi very astute financially but is known for not attracting and not paying the going rate for certain quality players.
The question is do you roll the dice and allow a good manager (not Edwards) to rebuild the squad for the second half of the season.
The season is written off so what is the clubs plan?
I'm not sure what the right path is to be honest.
I think it's difficult to say plan for the Championship as Edwards could be sacked if they keep losing. 6 games is a lot of games to be fair and the squad he has is better than Luton IMO. I can't see much difference than Vitor. I'd keep Edwards as a youth coach.
I'd like a manager that is well drilled and has a way of keeping clean sheets.
Then in the January window I would sign some quality at RWB, lwb and two forwards with pace.
Happily sell Larsen, Arias, Andre, Jackson and Wolfe to fund those players.

LWB-Pubill (loan), FW-Jota at Celtic, RWB-Thiago Santos from Lille, CB-Bright Area Mbi from Braga, CM-Mainoo (loan) for Andre.
Oscar Minguisa would be a good option to cover CB and LWB with AFCON
Also not sure on the midfielders but maybe Neves is an option.
I think the club will struggle to sign two forwards so players that have to fight for a WC spot may be the best option.
Also if we plan for the championship Dendoncker and Traore for 2nd half of the season on loan wouldn't be a bad options with their experience.
There is a mixture of different players that would be positive for staying in the prem under a different manager and the championship and developing for next season we also have Doyle out on loan which could be an option for the championship.
But what is the plan have the players and club given up?
And what is Fosun's plan I think w may find out more this week.
I can't see them writing off half a season with a gap (although big at 13 points) as we have to face all the teams around us.
But can they sign the quality and pace on the wings and forwards to put up a fight.
ODCL

20 Dec 2025 21:37:15
Any respectable company (or CEO) would have been on the case before now. Shameful, irresponsible and unprofessional.
Says it all!

20 Dec 2025 21:47:09
What an absolute crock of 💩

20 Dec 2025 22:38:10
I think we lose to both Liverpool and United and then, if West Ham beat us on 3rd Jan, Rob Edwards is gone.

21 Dec 2025 10:32:51
No chance of us signing quality Madman. Quality goes elsewhere. Loan is the only chance of getting decent players in but they will only be peripheral players for their current teams meaning they won't be quality even if they are better than we've got.

Also they'll be out of match practice and of course there are loan limits (2 from other English clubs). Basically, we're way up that well known creek without a paddle or even a canoe!

21 Dec 2025 12:00:29
Agreed Old Wulf. But I don't think the players and coach should be rolling over each week.
Stage one keep a clean sheet so we can build on that.
We lost yesterday as we let a ball bounce (good ball on the replay BTW) and then didn't head that ball clear.
We can't let that happen every game attack the f**king ball as a defender.
Edwards got the subs wrong yesterday we took our width off when Hoever (agreed not good enough) but he was trying to get forward and play crosses in.
After West Ham game 3rd Jan there is 17 games left that's 51 points up for grabs.

The squad isn't as far of picking up results as we think. We need some balance and experience at wing back and some pace and courage in the forwards.
35 points may be enough to stay up.
So what is Fosun's plan.
I agree with the not attracting quality depends who they move out and what the project is short to medium term.
I would roll the dice as I think 3 quality players either loans or signings nd we start picking up points.
But I also don't think Edwards is the man to get us into a shape to keep clean sheets and build on that in the short term.

21 Dec 2025 14:44:12
Pity we can't get Dan Ashworth at the moment we are run by amateurs. Can't believe they train or are coached together, no discipline and shocking work rate. Right from the start the plan was to park the bus and soak up pressure.

We were at home for goodness sake and try to sit on a goalless draw, madness. No doubt RE is a nice books it this lot need a kick up the backside. Could have done with Dyche to shake them up sadly too late now.

21 Dec 2025 15:50:11
Probably is complete garbage but at the moment nothing surrounding WWFC would surprise me.

I suspect Old Wolf is correct, the loan market will probably be the way to go in the January window.

19 Dec 2025 21:17:45
Beaking news!
Jeff Shi has stepped down as executive chairman of Wolves.

Fosun's Nathan Shi (no relation to Jeff) has taken over in the interim.

Club now working on a permanent replacement.

19 Dec 2025 21:22:45
Great news, now for Fosun to go

19 Dec 2025 21:27:18
Ben Jacobs saying that he's stepped down as Executive Chairman so will not be running the club on a day to day business but he is still the Chairman and has overall control of the club.

19 Dec 2025 21:39:39
From Wolves themselves "Nathan Shi is to be appointed as interim executive chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

Jeff Shi has stepped down from his role as executive chairman. He will remain chairman and CEO of Fosun Sports Group, and will have no operational duties relating to Wolves."

19 Dec 2025 21:54:08
My bad. I misread it.

But Molineux will be a much happier place tomorrow.

Looks like Jeff Shi's web of lies has come back to bite him on the ass. Hopefully Guo will be keeping a closer eye on how the club is run.

19 Dec 2025 22:27:44
Sounds like a load of Shi

20 Dec 2025 10:26:26
That 'Shi Out' banner may still be useful. No need to change the name. Don't worry Jeff, you may have been sacked but, like relegation, it's just technical. We're still a global force.

Who would have thought, just when we need an experienced football professional CEO, we get another, no-nothing-about-football, Shi.

20 Dec 2025 11:52:16
Nathan Shi is the Interim Executive Chairman. So surely this means Fosun will look for someone with the right credentials to take over the football side of things long term.

Not many current club owners have a background in football but what they have done, is employ those with the required knowledge to run the club.

19 Dec 2025 11:37:36
Wolves players on the move according to rumours on the Internet:
Agbadou and Bellegarde to Besiktas.
Arias to Flamengo (Brazil).
Andre to Galatasarary.
Lopez to Celta Vigo.
Munetsi to France (no club mentioned).
Sa to West Ham.
Moller-Wolfe to Brighton.

Wolves interested in Mateus Fernandez-Pardo according to 'Teamtalk' - a 20yo winger.
Transfermarkt price :20m euros.

19 Dec 2025 12:31:15
Mateus Fernandez-Pardo is going to have his work cut out then if the internet rumours are true regarding outgoings.

First The Points

19 Dec 2025 12:40:02
Also looks like inter are after Larsen
I will drive him to Milan myself

09 Jan 2026 07:07:25
OAP Agbadou to Besiktas Wolves turned it down Besiktas want loan with option to buy. West H want Beto from Saudi so that rules out Sa as for the others could go either way.

18 Dec 2025 10:06:47
Looks like neves is signing for West Ham 🥹

18 Dec 2025 12:44:07
Yesterday, one of the papers said Nuno was on the verge of being sacked.

18 Dec 2025 14:43:26
Can’t see it myself, it’s on a few sites now apparently neves has no interest in signing a new contract and West Ham are the front runners to sign him

19 Dec 2025 06:40:04
He is managing his career well.
Done his 2 years which means no tax on earnings, So he has made his money.
Can now come back to Europe at just 28 and secure a Champions League side contract.

19 Dec 2025 07:55:55
I agree rugeley apparently united, Chelsea, villa, juventus, inter, Napoli are all interested as they reckon he will go for about 15 million ish but Rumors are he wants to link up with Nuno again but that could be West Ham fans fuelling that one😂

19 Dec 2025 10:50:37
He could come back to us! 🥹

19 Dec 2025 12:40:56
Why would he do that bos? I know we signed him originally in the championship but I think his career level is way above that now

19 Dec 2025 13:58:11
If RE can sign anybody of that level with the position we're in he could sell refrigerators to Eskimos.

15 Dec 2025 15:46:14
Rumour is Wolves v Shrewsbury Town has been moved to 12:15pm on Saturday 10th January for coverage on Discovery+.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2025 17:16:45
This is now confirmed.

15 Dec 2025 17:56:14
They obviously expect us to go out, I can't see any other reason to cover that game.

15 Dec 2025 20:15:58
Hate to admit but I expect us to go out too. Don't think we have got a win in us . Shrewsbury are going to be up for it, and we are certainly not a team prepared to roll our sleeves up and fight for it. Would love them to prove me wrong but not optimistic.

16 Dec 2025 10:34:06
Did you not watch the Arsenal and Villa games, Ray? By all means offer criticisms of their skill levels but accusations aimed at their willingness to fight are a bit harsh. They ran their socks off and nearly nicked a result off two quality sides. If their skill levels were as high as their endeavour, we wouldn't be in the state we're in at the moment.

16 Dec 2025 13:51:21
I think you sum it up well Pag. Although there are pockets of" just going through the motions".
Lack of the right quality is the big issue.

17 Dec 2025 16:37:07
Not sure it's that simple though gents, because I also watched the Palace, Forest and United games and in each one of those our players looked like they simply couldn't be bothered! Yes there is a lacking in quality but are we really that far behind Forest, Brentford or Sunderland in terms of quality?! Just feels like a perfect storm of a lacking in quality and also a shocking lack of consistency in effort! Reminds me of us last season under Mick, we'd turn up agaisnt the best teams and put a shift in because there was no expectation but give us a bottom five team at home (e.g Forest) and suddenly we can't run five yards or string together three passes! 😭

17 Dec 2025 17:07:43
Bully. My take is that bottom teams tend to be completely inconsistent. The game after Mick was sacked we achieved a fighting 2-2 away draw at Newcastle. Next match at Craven Cottage (I was there) we lost 5-0. Is RE today's Terry Connor? I don't think so, and I'm expecting results to show that.

Terry took over a Wolves side that had only just slipped into the relegation zone but was still unable to save us. At the very least I expect RE to take us down fighting, and with a strategy for challenging strongly next season.

13 Dec 2025 12:57:28
I was talking to a workmate of mine who works in the world of marketing for some major brands but is also a bit of a conspiracy theorist.

We were talking Wolves and he mentioned that Adidas were the ones who decided to walk away from the shirt deal as they didn't want to be associated with Jeff Shi's vision for the club. This is also the reason Castore also walked away after 2 years.

Now that Wolves are plummeting into the Championship, he said Fosun are not happy and looking for answers.

I hope this is true and Fosun get rid of Shi.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Dec 2025 17:59:40
We all know about the concept of 'face' in Chinese culture. The loss of face by Fosun will be enormous, with the almost inevitable relegation ahead. Jeff might have to fall on his sword, or be pushed. It's not just Fosun. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the great wave of Chinese investment in football a decade or so ago in the UK and Europe has been a failure.

Sadly, relegation will only prolong Fosun's ownership of Wolves, whereas they might be tempted to sell if we by some miracle stayed up. They must know they're out of their depth by now.

11 Dec 2025 13:31:35
Website 'Sport Witness' reports that Wolves and Besiktas are in talks about the possible loan or transfer of Emmanuel Agbadou in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Dec 2025 15:46:38
I will pay his air fare
He’s been absolutely gash this season, I know they all have but he’s been exceptionally poor, I can see a lot of the high earners and anyone with any value being shipped out in January in preparation for the championship

11 Dec 2025 16:50:31
They say they will probably sell their best players in January, so that's J. Gomes and Andre gone, they wouldn't get a Mars bar for any of the others! Happy days. With any money they may make buy a decent keeper because boy are we going to need one.

11 Dec 2025 22:08:26
J Gomes and Andre have not been what they say on the tin - maybe a mix up in translation?

And we’re going to need 2 decent keepers in case one gets injured!

12 Dec 2025 04:51:44
Bos ; They always tweak the laws of the game and little when we're not paying attention, next season they may allow two Goalies, sure we'd all like to see more passes inside our own box instead of that old fashioned game of boot it up the field, attack with wingers who can cross the ball and forwards who actually score goals, what rubbish we used to watch.

12 Dec 2025 13:52:44
Actually Ron, 2 goalies would be very useful, we could play them both at the same time and the goals conceded may stop. but wait a minute. with our defence?

13 Dec 2025 10:13:14
De Wolf - what an awful situation.
Don't disagree with what you say -although lately Agbadou has recovered somewhat and is still (potentially at least) not only the best CB the club has but a top half CB.
However not only would fire selling the 3 or 4 good players, (who sadly aren't the high earners), left in the squad not raise anywhere near what you would hope but it might make the rest of this season even more embarrassing.

Finishing on two points with a negative goal difference of well over 100 might destroy what is left of the club.
The gap between the remainder of the squad and league 1 football is also very very narrow and unless the next two windows are far better managed than the last 10 have been the double drop - maybe even the triple once more - is not unimaginable.

10 Dec 2025 15:55:50
Daily Mail Exclusive 12.20pm today (10.12.2025) -
Wolves are planning a major overhaul of their recruitment strategy and are to give more responsibility to their own recruitment staff who say that previous coaches have ignored their suggestions.

Fosun also plan to invest in the squad.
Rob Edwards is in agreement with the new strategy
Good news only IF the recruitment staff know who to go for, what fees to pay and what players are needed for what positions.
An excellent goalkeeper would be a start!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2025 22:59:08
Rob Edwards is the Head Coach. He tells the recruitment the qualities he is looking for in a player and the recruitment team give him a list of players who tick the boxes and the club signs one of them.

If he was the manager, he would identify the players himself and trust the club to sign them.

Edwards is nothing more than a yes man who will inevitably be thrown under the bus when Jeff Shi and co have further embarrassed our club.

11 Dec 2025 06:11:35
While Shi remains Head of Football, with all Football Depts reporting directly to him, our decline will continue.
Fosun need to sack him as CEO and certainly bring in an industry specialist as Head of Football with a strong CV.

11 Dec 2025 11:05:04
Sorry to be a cynic but these articles about 'changes in approach to recruitment' are ALWAYS just lip service as Jeff scrambles to pretend genuine change is happening. It just goes round in circles, at the start of the summer Jeff said that the manager didn't have enough input so we (wrongly) got rid of Hobbs and said we were basically setting up our recruitment to accommodate VP by going out and spending good money getting Teti in place.

Fast forward and after we have the WORST transfer window in Jeff's history (which when you think about it is almost impressive considering some that have gone before) and suddenly we sack VP, Teti walks and it all needs to be changed again!
How's it going to be changed you ask well we are going to go back to the recruitment team having more control again, ya know just like they did under Hobbs the LAST TIME when they told us that it wasn't working cause we weren't listening to the manager enough?! Honestly you couldn't make this bs up and sadly it's got SO bad that its not even funny anymore! Well I say it's not funny I bet Hobbs is laughing his absolute arse off as he sits comfortably over at Palace!
It's all just very shameful, pitiful and transparent diversion techniques! Classic politicians response to adversity, the fans are protesting so Jeff needs something to blame so he wheels out the same old tripe he's said every other season about 'changing recruitment policy'! At this stage we could have Alex Ferguson himself run our recruitment and it would make NO difference! This club is rotten to its Jeff Shi/Fosun core and no amount of new scouts or DoFs are going to change that!
Many on here thought Hobbs was the problem well he's suddenly looking pretty good compared to the last window isn't he, rinse and repeat and start again! Worst part is that Jeff actually think us fans fall for this absolute bs! 🤮

11 Dec 2025 19:20:58
Bang on the money BullysBoy. They really think we cannot see through the tosh they come out with. I despair at the way Fosun play with this club, lacking all respect for it, the fans, and it's place in the City.

09 Dec 2025 12:48:06
No rumours since 1st dec everyone given up lol

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Dec 2025 15:07:28
Probably waiting to see who wants to come and play in the championship next season

09 Dec 2025 15:55:13
I thought Costas de Game and Diseason Over were playing for us last night but then I realised it was only 8th December, and they couldn't have been playing for us but it certainly looked like it.

01 Dec 2025 07:09:14
We are signing a top class goalkeeper from Greece, Costas de Game' apparently he is bringing his brother with him as well who is a world class CB, Diseason Over, Jeff is really excited about the 2 new additions!🤔

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2025 07:23:44
Stop press! Wow a top striker from Brazil Con da Fanbase! This 1 Jeff has done the deal himself! Wow 😲

01 Dec 2025 08:28:41
Excellent OOTB nothing would surprise us now with Jeff, if they were from China or Korea would be signed immediately 👍

01 Dec 2025 11:48:51
Most likely chinese Portuguese ni da gole

01 Dec 2025 15:01:36
Love it OOTB mate if we didn't laugh about this mess we'd go insane.

01 Dec 2025 20:06:29
We're looking at an American currently in college football for our academy. One for the future so he will train with the first team first a few weeks and no doubt end in the under 18s. Fosun want some shirt sales in north America and I'm told there is a good YouTube highlights reel of him. Plays old skool sweeper role, named Owen Goal

02 Dec 2025 08:26:36
Very good all, brightens up the day for me, I've a feeling that we've had a few of their relatives playing for us before!

02 Dec 2025 09:26:45
Or even the 2 Chinese plays Yo Wanghumover, and I'll Wanghumin.

02 Dec 2025 15:07:47
Looking at a prime player from Scotland named Angus Beef. Heard he is a rare find.

02 Dec 2025 17:02:53
I think you might be mistaken gdawg, the rumor I’ve heard is we are signing a German striker Cana find de net

02 Dec 2025 20:16:25
A 22 year old Swedish defender too. Rumours has it Jeff found him in FC26 career mode and has played 7 times for Sweden at Under 18 level; Kenny Bakpass. Sounds like he suits our style of play.

02 Dec 2025 22:37:18
You're correct De Wolf. We are no longer in for Angus Beef. It appears it was just agent talk to raise price. He's going to play for Michelin Star Belgrade now. He said their operation was a cut above.

We've also lost out on promising Winger named Kris Cross. He was signed but Jeff was out of battery on his phone and couldn't authorise the payment so he's going to Spurs now.

04 Dec 2025 09:32:55
You've got it all wrong!

I have it on great authority through my mate Jeffrey, Wolves are planning to bring in 3 players at the beginning of January to boost the squad and morale! They're natural winners and recently played in a major tournament and were real stars there!

He did say they played for E-sports, I assume their a new football team! I've never heard of them but never less, Jeffrey never lies! You've heard it here first! HEREWEGOOOOOOOO

04 Dec 2025 12:07:32
I’ve heard that worcs three Chinese players who are a whizz on the old fifa game
They are
Yu bin dun
We bin ad
Ka kik a ball
Ahem I thank you
Have to laugh otherwise I’d cry 😂
