Said not involved today. Injury is not minor. Probably another one we won't get to see for the next few months.
25 Jul 2026 15:58:33
I watched the game. Said seemed to just tighten up a bit, and pulled himself out right away, but it didn't seem serious. My guess is he tweaked a hamstring, although he wasn't limping at all, and they are giving him extra time to heal it.

Who at the club thought up the idea of playing a pre-season friendly at Walsall and charging our own fans a fiver to stream it?
Who’s thinks it is a good idea to charge fans £45 a season to listen to audio commentary of every game this season in the Wolves app?
Seems the only ideas the club has to raise funds is to squeeze every drop out of their own long suffering loyal fans.
Is this sustainable in the long term?
25 Jul 2026 14:19:02
Anyone suggest the best station to listen to Wolves matches?
25 Jul 2026 14:48:19
A £45.00 charge to listen to all the 26/27 season Wolves games via the Wolves app is a pretty good deal. I imagine plenty of fans will sign up for the offer.
Imagine being a truck driver and having the ability to listen to Wolves games while driving all over the UK or Europe.
Torture for many, but bliss for a truck driving Wolves fan.
When I was young and on foreign holidays, the only way to follow Wolves was either via the BBC World Service or English newspapers that arrived one or two days later.

Is there still a Mathday blog.
25 Jul 2026 15:50:59
I've paid my £5 each for pre-season games, I've paid the £45 radio commentary fee, and I've paid the £30 (I think) membership fee.
I live in Oxfordshire and can't get to the Mol in person anymore due to age and related conditions. If I could, the train fares would prove too much. So, being able to watch, listen, and feel part of the pack is good value for me.
It would be a bit rich for me to criticise the club's expenditure if I didn't feel as if I was paying in.
So, Wandering Stars Dad, it's a great idea for me. Yes, I'm lucky I've afforded it, but I'd imagine many fans of my age group, with support born from the 50s and 60s and spread up and down the country, would feel the same.
25 Jul 2026 16:43:15
The point is, Abbey, the commentary was a free service in the Wolves app, and now they have decided to charge £45.
25 Jul 2026 17:28:45
The EFL make Championship clubs charge for commentary. Fosun didn't decide this.
25 Jul 2026 17:54:53
I'd pay regardless, Thommo alone makes me feel as if I'm there with a friend who gives us a laugh along the way.
Didn't know those rules, Tim. Interesting, as I thought it'd been Fosun's doing.
26 Jul 2026 08:40:36
Agree ref Thommo. I remember a few years ago when we had to pay match by match. I stopped paying after a while, as the service was hit and miss (mostly miss). I must admit, though, that the 'free' service last season was OK.
25 Jul 2026 11:47:55
Hwang 8 million for him.
You got to be bloody joking.
See how many come in for the players we have for sale.
If we make 60 million out of these players I will be surprised.
That's if anyone wants them.
25 Jul 2026 14:58:28
I haven't up voted my own comments, it seems.
Someone else agrees that Hwang is not worth 8 million.
25 Jul 2026 18:17:22
Not worth 8m, but will score goals in the Championship, if fit! Fwaw.
25 Jul 2026 10:53:20
There's hardly any talk of Fer Lopez. I reckon he'll do well in the Championship.
25 Jul 2026 12:21:06
I hope you're right. It's 50/50 with Lopez. He shows flashes of brilliance, but he also shows nothing. He needs to toughen up and show consistency. He's not playing enough games for someone of his age and ability.
25 Jul 2026 14:07:51
Not sure with Lopez. He'll certainly have to toughen up.
25 Jul 2026 10:49:54
Do be honest with you I can't see Wolves raising much money out of the rejects we have left.
25 Jul 2026 11:31:56
(Not a reject) Jose Sa: £4 million
Sam Johnstone: £3 million
(Not a reject) Ladislav Krejci: £27 million
Jackson Tchatchoua: £8 million
Ki-Jana Hoever: £1 million
(Not a reject) Santiago Bueno: £13 million
(Not a reject) Hugo Bueno: £15 million
(Not a reject) Moller Wolfe: £14 million
Boubacar Traore: £6 million
Marshall Munetsi: £6 million
(Not a reject) Hee-chan Hwang: £8 million
Tolu Arokodare: £20 million
These values are guesstimates, but these players could definitely leave before the summer window closes.
Wolves could be looking at more than £100 million in sales if almost all of those players leave. Assuming that Wolves won't sell both Hugo Bueno and Moller Wolfe.
Since January, the club has banked more than £100 million in sales.
The reality is, Tommy Doyle, Fer Lopez and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde could also leave, as could Mateus Mane.
If a club bids serious money for Mane, he's gone.
Will Wolves bring in quality reinforcements to replace the players that will likely leave? No.
Will Wolves bring in quality players to build a team that will punch its way out of the Championship? No.
Can Wolves finish in the top two with the team they currently have? Over a 50-game season, absolutely no chance.
I feel that Southampton's late run last season in the Championship has affected things for Wolves. This is how stupid people are at Wolves. This is their naive, idiotic way of thinking. The attitude at Wolves will be "If we're struggling by the end of December, we'll spend big in January and make a late run for the top two."
Muppets.
25 Jul 2026 11:47:57
Pessimists, have some faith.
25 Jul 2026 12:43:28
Wow, not even kicked a ball in anger yet, and the doom mongers have us almost relegated. New manager, yes. Hopefully some good additions to the squad. Yes, we go into the season not knowing what to expect, but come on, let's give them all a chance ffs!!
25 Jul 2026 12:03:15
I used to get excited for the season start, not so much these days. Whether that's down to the teams poor form, the owners poor management, var ruining the game, I'm not sure.
25 Jul 2026 14:22:32
They are not doom mongers; they are realists, unlike the happy clappers.
25 Jul 2026 16:00:11
Let's be realistic when we know how things are.
Said it before, it's all ifs, buts, and what ifs. For God's sake, show some hope and belief. I don't know what support we can get from defeatist attitudes when we don't know what team, what names, or who has kicked a ball in competitive play under a new gaffer, and that's not happy clapping, it's fact.
25 Jul 2026 19:52:00
A ball may not have been kicked in anger as yet - true, but the past seasons should tell you that we are in for more of the same futility and dross. That's not doom mongering; it is a fact, based on the failure of this administration.
25 Jul 2026 01:35:44
We have a CM already. Just needs some managerial inspiration to identify the qualities of Krejci, ideal ready made, experienced in that position, gets goals, very good in possession, does well internationally for Czech Republic. He would dominate in the Championship!
25 Jul 2026 07:06:00
Yes, good point, Everon. Trouble is, are we realistically going to keep him?
I haven't read that he's staying. I think he's back from WC tho.
Tonight's team starters will be interesting, after the Maidenhead game and it being against tougher opponents.
24 Jul 2026 18:56:04
Can't see Fosun paying over 10million for players to play in Championship.
Get free or cheapest they can. I would of thought they would of got the players now ready for start of season.
Bloody shambles.
24 Jul 2026 19:47:41
They might do if the powers that be feel the player can step up to the Premier League.
Problem is, look at the garbage taking up space in the squad. There's a lot of money and wages tied up in those players.
I think, after last season's debacle, Wolves have to show a little more caution and be more intelligent.
Wolves could still raise a shedload of money from sales. They can't repeat last season and waste it on trash.
24 Jul 2026 16:01:44
Oliver Skipp wants a move away from Leicester. He doesn't want to play in League 1. They want at least 13-15 mil for him. He could be a steal for Wolves. Middlesborough were interested but did not meet the valuation. He is an amazing player, still 25. A Fosun-like signing?
24 Jul 2026 16:34:58
Not for that kind of money. Maybe around 3-5 mill, but knowing Wolves, we will put a bid in for 35m.
24 Jul 2026 16:51:36
Unless there is a real threat of Andre leaving, Wolves don't need a defensive midfielder. Andre definitely has enough cover.
24 Jul 2026 17:30:40
Skipp. Amazing player. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
24 Jul 2026 18:53:24
Good job, Fosun Out isn't in charge of the expenditure budget. Could be brilliant irony, mind.
25 Jul 2026 01:42:06
And if Andre injured, Hyacinth?
25 Jul 2026 09:16:07
Tommy? Thought Edozie looked good, the other night, FWAW.
24 Jul 2026 15:54:50
Did I submit my last post? Not sure.
24 Jul 2026 15:53:06
New know what really pisses me of with Wolves and there signings. Wolves got relagated and 3 teams go up there all spending money but not 1 Wolves player has gone to any off them. Just proves how bad they are and why Wolves are in the situation there in. You could not make it up what an absolute shambles Wolves have become under Fuson.
24 Jul 2026 16:59:23
How many Premier League teams are going to want Jackson Tchatchoua, Sam Johnstone, Jose Sa, Toti Gomes, Marshall Munetsi, Hee-chan Hwang or Tolu Arokodare? One or two of them, naming no names, are absolute f****** gash.
They're the players that I can think of that Wolves should be selling as a matter of urgency.
Either high wages, stinking attitudes, or just plain s*** - or, sadly, all three.
I haven't added Ki-Jana Hoever because he's basically a nominal fee with a sell on percentage.
What a mess.
24 Jul 2026 17:19:31
Thats the point, I was making absolute atrocious signings. Now, no value what so ever, and on wages most leagues cant compare with.
24 Jul 2026 20:41:55
I don't understand. Are you complaining that we haven't/can't sell players to Championship rivals? Or that we aren't selling to Premier League teams like Gomes and Villa? Why would we want to sell to rivals for the players to then haunt us? Better sell abroad, no?
24 Jul 2026 22:07:21
Looks like we will be kicked out of the Academy top flight, because of the poor state of facilities. Couldn't run a tap!
