Some of these Curacao players look lively, maybe a punt on couple of them.

All this talk of foreign players, I thought we had to mainly get homegrown players in due to Championship rules. Not sure we have the luxury of taking a punt on unknowns, do we?

Would Adama be on a free? On a good day I like him, when he goes missing he may as well be in the Mander Centre.
Can we expect to see some young Portuguese players arriving?

Adama would be halfway through the Mander Centre before he realised he hadn’t got the ball! 😂

Traore absolute joke. He was crap on a good day and he didn’t have many of those.

Absolute rot, Philmanns. Check his stats around 2019/20. Nowhere that level now, though.

Rob Edwards did the dirty on Boro and was never a Wolves fan! Everton season-ticket holder in his youth. FWAW.

Still doesn't make it right how he was treated though.
How would you like it if you found out you'd been sacked via social media?

Rumours are that Edwards knew at least 2 weeks ago that he was going to be replaced and he was asked to remain silent until the new man had signed.

A bit like when we all thought Lopetegui suddenly walked out but it transpired that he had given the club plenty of notice and Gary O'Neil was courted weeks earlier.

Also, it appears that Trippier, although excited by Edwards, was fully aware that he was unlikely to be the manager when the season started.

I wonder what all pundits think now that the narrative has changed. I mean, they all backed Trippier to do something that he was never likely to do.

I thought Adama was awesome got people off their seat with his dribbling abilities but too often crosses went in the stand, lol.

Would be an interesting sight in the Championship, Simonandlaura. Dunno if stepping back is necessarily the way forward, tho?

Kieran Trippier is set to stay, and is excited to play for Peixoto. He was told of the club's intention to have a managerial switch prior to signing the contract.

Adama on our radar now.
🤔🤔

Trippier just seems to be excited. Happy for him.

Having calmed down, I can see that Nathan Shi and Fosun have made the right decision - Rob Edwards definitely wasn’t the right man to take Wolves forward.

Someone on here made a comment and smashed it. To paraphrase, imagine if Rob had been given ‘his’ team and then been fired after so many games. Rob was never the right appointment - another Jeff disaster. Rob is a lovely guy, and hopefully he’ll do well in his next job. Football is a brutal business, and Re knows this.

Cesar Peixoto must be a dark horse, and he’s clearly going to be given a very decent squad of players.

Hopefully Wolves players will be sold and new players purchased in a systematic manner, and Wolves will be 100% ready for pre season. Nathan Shi seems to be a man of his word, and a huge upgrade on Jeff. As Gerry Rafferty - a genius - sort of said: You’ve got to get it wrong to get it right next time.

Bit late to the party, by my God, learning of Kenny Jackett’s passing knocked me for six. Wolves in League One under Kenny Jackett will live long in the memory of many Wolves fans. One of my favourite Wolves managers, who managed one of my favourite Wolves teams. Rest in peace, Kenny.

Chelsea were reportedly considering appointing Cesar Peixoto after Liam Rosenior was sacked. He was seen by the hierarchy as someone who could get the club back to the highest level.

Sounds like a very underrated manager. Stunning appointment!

Can we now move on from Rob Edwards? Peixoto sounds an ambitious choice, and it might even mean we are launching Project 2.0.

Sounds like a gamble to me. Let's hope it pays off.

Not seen that before, Rob. Was it reported in the Beano? He undoubtedly did well last season, but I can't see that any top club would be after him, given his overall record, which is sketchy at best. Whatever the situation, we've got to get fully behind him.

Don't know, Old Wulf, anything is possible with Chelsea.

Reading that Trippier is not happy with Re sacking and is considering his position. Well, players sign to a club and not the manager. If I was the new manager I’d sit him down immediately and ask him if he wants to play, if not, send him on his way. Raul is a completely different issue, and he has an emotional connection to the club.

Really... don't believe a word of it.... Trippier's agent will have sorted the deal that he wanted... and would he not have looked into Wolves and RE as well.... Players play for the money, not the manager... unless Pep is in charge. You cudve been in charge... he'd still've signed.

Excuse me but who is this fella Pixieloto and what has he achieved as a manager? Seems to me he has no experience whatsoever of English football or promotion and I just don't follow the thinking. Could this be another on Mendes radar who needs a job? Sounds rather like a roll of the Walter Zenga dice and look what happened there.

I fear anyone looking for a rapid return to the Premier League may have to wait for new owners at the Club. Inscrutable those who run Fosun.

He didn't need a new job. He was being courted by Benfica and had led G.V to their highest finish. He is regarded as a great up-and-coming manager who wants to play attacking football.

Sometimes, I think clubs just do the merry-go-round of managers, and will get behind our new gaffer. Let's give him a chance. We all knew change was needed, and a big clear out, and new, fresh ideas.

Mike, Walter Zenga (man in a suitcase) was hardly a considered appointment. Lopetegui was to take over and eventually let us down. Zenga was an emergency hiring. He never even moved to the UK, just flying in and out. I remember him in the team bus with his suitcase, ready to fly home after a match.

I don't think Nathan is repeating that mistake with the new guy. Just look at what Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford achieved with foreign coaches with a lack of English football experience.

Nuno.... Had we heard of him before he came to us? Dont think so.... Along with Raul Nevez Jota...... New beginnings. Hoping for a repeat.

Someone's done a YouTube video outlining his style of play.

His record as manager is: won 15, lost 15, drawn 16, or something I remember seeing. Jacked, sacked and resigned, now us!?

Nuno had coached in the Champions League.
