Why would Rob Edwards leave 'Boro where he's doing ok with a board prepared to back him and who don't want him to go? Whereas at Wolves, he'll inherit a weak squad devoid of confidence and looking incapable of surviving in this league, but worst of all, owners who refuse to back the club and a Chairman who will sell off his best players every Summer then sack him before the following Xmas.

Sadly, I just can't see this turning out any differently but I'll leave the usual caviat that I hope that's not the case, but I just can't see it. Does anybody seriously think that if us fans are all positive about our prospects then magically we'll win games?

Shi and Fosun are culpable for our current situation no if's, no but's and frankly irrespective of whether Rob Edwards once played for us or lives in Wolverhampton he'll just be another victim of the clueless like the 5 that's gone before him. What was needed was a manager who's reputation alone would make the players and frankly the Club, buck up their ideas. Having said all that, I'm not sure if that would have ended well either, what a mess.

Unfortunately I think you are correct Long, not impressed at all by last nights performance. Think we need a new manager who is a magician to save us this season.

Thought we would have a go at Chelsea, JSL needs time out of the team and play Tolu, Hwang, don’t get me started on him, useless majority of the time and Bellegarde goes missing. May as well have played with 8, what happened to giving others a go, surely with confidence lost, you play others, mind you as we sold all other midfielders and didn’t replace them this is difficult.
Think of the players we have let go or sold, Neves, Neto, Cunha, RAN, Adama, all capable of producing some excitement, none of the current squad are. None of them can create a goal scoring opportunity with a great pass or dribble. Between Jeff and VP’s so called recruitment our team now has no creativity and unfortunately less confidence. Rob would be more sensible to stay where he is then move to this rubbish, terrible to say but true.
Just abysmal.

No manager of repute would touch us with a barge pole LMW. Not with this lot in charge. Not sure what Shi has told Rob Edwards to lure him to this shambles, but as someone has already pointed out he has and will be supported at Boro. He won't be here. He'll just watch as we all do as remaining assets are sold J Gomes, Andre, Kreji and we're left with the dross who we can't move on. Those that are getting a fat pay cheque for strolling around the pitch contributing nothing.

Hwang, Bellegarde, JSL. I'm struggling to believe that these are actually PL footballers as they seem incapable of either trapping a ball, or controlling one. There's not a chance in hell we could've scored yesterday as neither of our so called strikers could get hold of the ball. It's just so frustrating that it's difficult to put into words just how poor this team and the senior management are. Good luck Rob Edwards you'll need it!

Did anyone hear what VP supposedly said last week according to the commentators last night. This Wolves squad have no ability no technicalability and no physicality. Which I thought strange as he had a hand in picking 6 of these players in the summer transfer window according to reports.

None of us no the real truth about our summer activities.
However, trying to piece together the way things evolved.
1. Pereira submits transfer target list pre-summer.
2. Shi announces new Football structure, brings in a Strategist (that
went well!). Hobbs moved out as Head of Football (he had the
network and Palace snapped him up).
3. Makes himself Head of Football, without the network of Hobbs.
4. Reviews Pereira's list, spends too long reviewing and then
rejects most or too late to approach successfully.
5. Internal gossip suggests panic sets in and Recruitment team
chasing too many uninterested targets and end up with in the
main, with unsuitable recruits.


6. The season now starts and manager hasn't had time to assess
new players.
7. New Head of Football announces "manager has 90% of his
targets". Really?!
8. A few games in, it is clear after trial and error, we don't have the
resources to survive.
9. Manager frustrated (haven't we heard that before?) and looks to
work his ticket (bizarre selections and tactics). Not a good look,
but he was not the first to go down that route.
10.Club now in free fall and still Fosun do nothing about the senior
management of the Club!
11. Caring fans absolutely in despair.

Perfectly summed up Rugeley, you honestly couldn't make it up. Is it delusional, is it arrogance or just incompetence, probably all three?

All I know is there is one common denominator with this all the result of frankly guesswork at the top, quite fashionable in the UK these days, apparently.

Sums it up well Rugely and yes it's Fosun and Jeff displaying everything longmynd describes.
Our club is in free fall, fosun don't look as if they're worried what happens, Rob Edwards is accepting a poisoned chalice and I obviously wish him the very best, but until big changes are made in Fosuns approach, or, preferably they go, we're only going one way shedding some decent managers along the way.


Fosun for an investment company you show little interest in Wolverhampton wanderers.

Sadly A449, it has been clear from the beginning, there is not enough quality in the side. Especially when you look at say, Sunderland!
I am sure I will get criticised for this, but Larson just does not look interested.
If it is tough this season, as it stands, I fear for us next year in the Championship

Your comparison to Sunderland they played with confidence team spirit and belief. They were playing as a team.
We obviously have confidence shot, we play as a bunch of individuals going through a instructed style that they're not wanting to play and as a result, maybe coupled with so many different nationalities without association to wolves, no desire.
Larsen is now lumbering around without urgency, mainly in part of the lack of service and support he as been getting.
The young blood of Mane was like a freshly charged battery suddenly on the pitch, and its that aspiration we need as a team.


Edwards, or anyone else for that matter will have to light a spark in this group, maybe give the young lads like Mane, maybe Pond to kick start the complacent among us, and get the enjoyment back, want to be out there.
I could take a defeat if I thought we'd played well and given it our all, Johnstone did Hugo did, keicji did others went through the motions (some of the natural type)., and I don't think.im alone in thinking that hwang should never be a starter.
Totally down with everything this morning, zero attempts on target, 3 in the entire match.
We offered nothing to be hopeful over.

Edward's will be aware of the enormous task facing him. Leaving a potential promotion team to a likely relegation team takes guts. I hope he knows something about been a mechanic because he needs to fix this broken team quickly.

Now I don't know how long Collins has been there get rid did nothing but follow VP with selection and subs bar Mane. Where was Tolu on his arse again warming the bench yet can't score unbloody believable sorry if I mist something out.

So frustrating. You can’t score if you can’t put the ball in the box. You are not going to score by lumping the ball to JSL when no one is around him. We play with shackles around us and are so slow and boring.

No creativity and no pace. We need to move the ball quicker and get people into the box. I feel sorry for Rob Edwards.

It was pathetic. Nothing had changed. Slow, no imagination and JSL, Hwang, Bellegarde useless. You really do have to feel sorry for any new manager coming into this team. It requires a complete rebuild from scratch. Hopefully if it is Edwards he will never play Hwang again.
