Bigus Dickus.

2.) 06 Jan 2019 16:41:10
Heh heh - he could be the new Messiah.

3.) 08 Jan 2019 08:27:25
No he's just a naughty boy - sorry couldn't help myself.

Remember when Nuno took over if you had said to me that the only three regular home grown players the following season would be a midfielder on his way out, a free transfer from Norwich and a wing back who can't get into the Irish team I would have called you crazy.

But Coady, Bennett and Doc have shown that under Nuno you don't have to be a big name you just have to work hard and not make mistakes while sticking to his plan. If you can't keep up like Batth then you don't get to play.

WindowWolf

1.) 01 Jan 2019 09:47:29
Proves what a great coach he really is.

2.) 01 Jan 2019 17:48:22
Yes Nuno knows what he wants and it works.

24 Sep 2018 21:51:06
I have been looking at relegation odds Wolves are 40/1 which might sound mean but actually that puts us 7th with only the top 6 usual suspects longer odds Everton Leicester Newcastle Palace all shorter the clever money thinks we're staying up.

WindowWolf

1.) 25 Sep 2018 13:59:25
We are equal 7th (with Watford) to win the league. But it's 500/ 1 so don't get too carried away. Bookies giving short odds on us beating Leicester tonight. Let's hope they're right.

Still coming across bits of rumour about Vida and Dendonker either will do both apparently in the UK so expect they will join someone

Rose also in the market Spurs think he's peaked and a good chance to sell but he will be expensive

Guedes leaving PSV but price too high for Wolves.

WindowWolf

1.) 07 Aug 2018 13:41:56
What do the emerging top players all have.
Pace and dribbling skills
I’m talking about MBappe, Rashford, Sane etc

Pace is the one thing you can’t defend against. Traore will be one of Wolves best signings.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 14:32:13
Last thing heard on Vida was that Wolves were the only team to of tabled an offer albeit below Besiktas's asking price of £20mil, player likely to holding out on Arsenal but they need to offload either Welbeck or Mustafi first to free up a fee.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 17:05:21
If we make a bid for Vida I hope it includes a clause that requires him to have a hair cut!
That Rodney-tail does not shout out 'nasty uncompromising hard tackling defender' to me!

4.) 07 Aug 2018 18:07:23
1877 - would generally agree with your comment about the importance of pace, but having said that Mo Camara was probably the fastest player I've seen at the Mol!

11 Jun 2018 09:24:44
Local papers saying we want Paddy McNair from Sunderland and Baily Peackock-Farrel from Leeds McNair plays central defender and midfield so maybe cover for Coady the Leeds player is a goalie these might be because of the home grown players rule or the reports are tosh.

WindowWolf

1.) 11 Jun 2018 11:27:51
we don't shop in div 1 no more buddy.

2.) 11 Jun 2018 12:22:55
I cannot see why we would want McNair. Kortney Hause is equally as good as a back up centre half. And frankly the link with the Leeds keeper baffles me - Will Norris anyone?!

3.) 11 Jun 2018 12:38:05
Can’t see the point of us going for either of them. Already have our own young players who should get a shot first, most likely just agent talk. Hope we announce some players before the World Cup starts.

4.) 11 Jun 2018 18:16:59
Hause is left sided defensive centre back, position currently filled by Boly. I see McNair as back up/ completion for Coady, who was brilliant last year but lacks pace. Positional sense is probably a better asset in that spare man role but Prem strike force usually has a fleet footed centre forward or number 10, who likes to run at last defended. Didn’t have to face that threat often last year!

5.) 11 Jun 2018 19:43:36
Danny Batth leaving?

6.) 11 Jun 2018 20:30:24
I hope he's leaving.

7.) 12 Jun 2018 16:33:39
Dappa,
I'm not worried about buying a league one player, as long as he's good enough. Sunderland have only just gone down and were a PL side until May 2017. Some Spurs fans quibbled when they bought Dele Alli from MK Dons for £5mil. They're not quibbling now!

If Wolves said they were joining a breakaway league who would stop supporting them?

WindowWolf

1.) 20 Apr 2021 09:42:11
Interesting poser windowolf. My club is wolves, I don't come from Wolverhampton, they've always been the wolves. That said Wolverhampton wanderers fc are dear in my heart and as as such are the same to me. The history of the club I feel is mine, my memory's are mine, my elation and joy are mine, my tears at being relegated when I was a boy were mine, my doldrums in the lower leagues were mine. So for some anonymous money chasing conglomerate to take those possessions from me, to a place where the only competition is money, then I feel it is a theft of my heartfelt love of everything wolves.
The new incarnation would seem a different beast, although molineux is our home and allegiance would be difficult. I want nothing to do with a 'new' wolves as it stands, but they'll always be in my psyche.

2.) 20 Apr 2021 09:45:28
Well it wouldn't be for the working class would it. the big midweek matches abroad would only be for the rich and then the genuine fans would go and see a weakened team put out at the weekend. if this super league happens then I strongly believe that they should not compete in our domestic football. Let them sort their own cups and tournaments out. I also think that the so called big 6 should have a 20 point deduction no matter what happens cus they've gone against all ethics of our game. Football is not the same now with VAR but this ludicrous idea will kill it dead and how come certified and rangers have been omitted? Doesn't matter what league they play in they're still massive clubs. I'm at a loss with the people in football now and fan's are the ones that get it in the neck.

3.) 20 Apr 2021 10:06:11
Sorry. celtic and ranger's.

4.) 20 Apr 2021 10:57:21
If the Shameless Six and their players are banned from all other competitions, two things will happen ; a) Conor Coady will lead England into the Euros, and b) Tesco will be saved from a deserved relegation! FWAW.

5.) 20 Apr 2021 11:34:58
Preston-yes that came into my mind also about the Tesco's-they always get away with it. Interestingly, however if UEFA kept Champions league and Europa league-have a feeling we would qualify for the latter if we finished 12th-work it out!

6.) 20 Apr 2021 12:15:53
Wolves official website claim, jokingly, that we are PL Champions 18/ 19. After we finished 7th behind the Shameful Six! FWAW.

7.) 20 Apr 2021 13:24:53
If we joined a competition similar to one that's currently being suggested, which goes against the basic elements of competition and fair play then I would stop supporting the club instantly! Not just on principle but more because what's the point?! No relegation, next to no promotion (save an anointed five clubs) and frankly no REAL competitive competition for 80% of the teams there! The basis of the Super League is wrong but more than that I think (as Klopp intimated last night) all we would be left with is some very well paid friendlies! No thanks, I'd rather watch a sport where things like fair play, genuine competition and the clubs supporters are ACTUALLY valued rather than ignored!

8.) 20 Apr 2021 13:28:03
With you there Lex. Especially a massive points deduction if this super league does not get off the ground. The fact that they have signed up for it HAS to be punished.

9.) 20 Apr 2021 14:33:54
Window,
My answer is I wouldn't stop looking out for wolves, but would not pay a penny going to games, merchandise etc etc.

We got the prime minister fighting to stop it I just read on news feed.

I hope it doesn't go ahead fingers crossed.

The timing of announcement still in the c. v. all clubs suffering financially all fans the same suffering with the c. v. a disgrace it is.

10.) 20 Apr 2021 15:06:11
Yes Bully. If we joined a meaningless league to win a meaningless cup, I would also cease to be a supporter. As painful as it would be.

11.) 20 Apr 2021 16:45:38
A rep at work told me something about a monopoly tax and he thinks the government will stop it.

12.) 21 Apr 2021 17:45:04
Even though the so called big 6s fans have done a great job, Bolton, Wigan, and sheff we'd fans did nothing wrong either,?

17 Mar 2021 09:39:31
Another brave Wolf is carried off after a head collision.

This is meant to be a game but it feels like a war and we have lost two of our generals I am really sad for Rui just as I was for Raul I am not going to get drawn into whether we have good backups or not it's been a difficult season and the sooner it finishes the better just a few more points to ensure safety although we probably are safe even if we get no more points.

WindowWolf

1.) 17 Mar 2021 11:30:57
I doubt we are safe with no more points.

2.) 17 Mar 2021 12:00:48
Another 2 points needed I think to ensure safety.

3.) 17 Mar 2021 13:17:38
Should be do-able with the games we've got to come.

14 Feb 2021 15:05:19
Can we all relax now?

WindowWolf

1.) 14 Feb 2021 15:46:53
The usual folk on here will still moan. They'll say we got lucky with the penalty so we lost really. They'll still want Nuno out.

2.) 14 Feb 2021 15:57:51
Yes until we play the Villa.

3.) 14 Feb 2021 16:13:53
Nuno showed Southampton too much respect in the cup game. We should be in the QF. He didn’t have faith in the team himself as he chose a weak team for the cup game. If he was at one of the so called big six their fans wouldn’t be happy either.

4.) 14 Feb 2021 16:38:36
Sevlow agree completely, some folks will never be happy. We could win the league, champions league, EuroVision and The Great British Bake Off and someone would still criticise the scones. E from Wombourn your biggest concern at half time was what has Adama done with his hair? Just saying.

5.) 14 Feb 2021 16:59:27
The cup result was unacceptable because of the performance and the first half today was poor-although I would say there was far more energy and commitment.
The second half was totally unrecognisable from the first half and the past number of games. Switching Neto and Traore worked, there was more space, Samedo was a good attacking presence and Neves looked something like his old self. Yes I agree we had fortune with the penalty-but seriously why question the one against Dendoncker, when he clearly got his head and not arm onto the ball-I would much rather question why Saiss received a yellow card after an excellent tackle-that needs to be looked at-ridiculous!

BBC radio news

Manchester United knocked 9 past Southampton, Arsenal lost to Wolves.

Big 6 news then.

WindowWolf

Feel sorry for Harry Kane and his ankle injuries.

But that's front page news on the BBC website and I don't remember Raul's broken skull being in the headlines like that or in fact most other player injuries

Top 6 bias again.

WindowWolf

1.) 29 Jan 2021 11:44:39
You have to ignore it unfortunately-BBC are dreadfully biased.

2.) 29 Jan 2021 13:06:22
Take no notice WindowWolf mate can't be upsetting their love affair with big 6 now,
imo Nunos amazing donation should be front page.

3.) 29 Jan 2021 13:58:07
Agree, how well Leicester are doing they hardly get headlines too.
I read the other week about spurs and another 1 or 2 big 6 clubs meeting the bank of England criteria for millions of c. v. aid where the rest of the premier league clubs don't meet the criteria. If I have read it correct how is that a level playing field?

4.) 29 Jan 2021 14:30:13
I can't wait for the bubble to burst phil mate, it's coming as people are getting tired of the costs involved in watching football now, when that bubble burst that big 6 will be screwed.

5.) 30 Jan 2021 05:40:38
We are going in the right direction it may seem we are going backwards to some fans but being realistic it's always going to be longer journey to the top.
When we get there I will join you in delight at breaking the monopoly of the bug 6.

When the league champions want to sign you you tend to listen I don't blame Jota and he has shown he can play at the level required keeping Firmino out of the team for a while

Wolves rarely sold to bigger clubs in the past only Lescott I think in the last 20 years so I see this as a sign we have some good players around.

They need a miracle to stay up Wolves however should be able to be more experimental with those younger players and hopefully give Corbeanu some game time too.

Alex is right we got 7th after promotion and when we got 7th again people were saying he has to go

This season has been hard especially with the injuries but we could still have about 50 points at the end

Nuno does his best and I like his style and which PL manager who would come to us would we want instead?

It would take a freak set of results for us to go down not just Fulham but all the teams in between have to go above us I don't think they will all get to 40 points anyway

I still say we will get to 50 points which is ok for a poor season.

Chelsea have over 40 players out on loan it's a model that big clubs use these players aren't on high salaries and may get a decent transfer fee.
