Wolves are looking to snap up Carney Chukwuemeka from Villa. 16 year old wonder kid. Set to agree terms.

Heard from a coach at Wolves that Bennett was let go as there’s genuine excitement about Otasowie and Richards coming through the academy.

Otasowie wanted more chance of first team minutes before signing a new contract.

bennet didn't get on with coadie after there fall out begining of season I would have prefferd bennet to stay and coadie go but if we got gud uns coming through things are looking up!

2.) 11 Feb 2020 19:25:43
Bennett and Coady are good mates soni find that hars to believe, Otasowie has been tracked by some of the big clubs in Europe, he is earmarked for a big future, so maybe a bit of truth in that maybe.
I liked Bennett, good character around the team.

3.) 11 Feb 2020 19:37:57
Just thinking aloud here - Would Nuno allow or want that kind of attitude from Owen Otasowie? it was because of stuff like that Fergie got rid of Pogba. And he thus far has been proven right by that decision.
Putting my hand out to be slapped here, feel free to correct me.

{Ed001's Note - Fergie never got rid of Pogba, Pogba refused to join Ferguson's son's agency and instead signed with Mino Raiola. That was why Fergie refused to pick him and that was why he left on a free of his own choice.}

4.) 11 Feb 2020 21:39:44
To be honest guys I think with Benno its a case of sometimes the obvious answer being the actual answer. As in I think he probs got wind of Lec looking for an experienced CB and saw a good opportunity. Nuno has said that he left cause he wanted to go and not sure I blame him. Seeing a back three of CMF start in front of you can't be easy as an experienced CB! Not saying its on the club cause Nunos the one picking the team and that's that but I think that's why he left.
As for Otasowie the guys a giant and looks technically great to boot and like others I remember him being tracked by some of the big boys. Thing is if the club had wanted to push him forward they could have by now, these last couple of months we've loads of youngsters on that bench and think I've only seen him once. Be good to see more mind, I trust Nuno will know when the times right COYW ;)

5.) 11 Feb 2020 22:56:38
Thanks for clearing that up Ed001 (I never knew that even happened)

{Ed001's Note - it happened a lot in that era. Allardyce was another one, he used to do the same at Bolton. You only got a deal if his son was your agent.}

6.) 11 Feb 2020 23:49:03
Yeah, also famously why United paid a whopping £8.5m for Bebe, as it said in that fantastic Panorama episode (which I strongly recommend to any that haven't watched it) the signing on fee from Bebes transfer paid for Martin Fergusons house! It was also because of Panorama having the gaul to shine a light on this shameful behaviour that Fergy refused to do Beeb interviews! Its quite incredible and shocking in equal measure what goes on in this sport!

{Ed001's Note - ah Bebe! What a player he was....}

7.) 12 Feb 2020 00:11:33
Haha indeed Ed! he was the knew Ronaldo just so long as you'd NEVER seen Ronaldo play! ;-D.

{Ed001's Note - or you got him mixed up with the Brazilian Ronaldo after his retirement and he had piled on loads of weight....}

8.) 12 Feb 2020 18:06:09
🤣 I reckon I'd STILL sooner sign the Brazilian Ronaldo, least he new where the goal was! 😭.

{Ed001's Note - can't argue with that as I agree!}

Juventus and Barcelona scouts were at the Braga game looking at Neves and Adama respectively.

So the loyal nuno wants to go to the arsenal. Let him go and watch him fail - judas.

2.) 30 Nov 2019 10:12:03
Demon. Don't believe everything you read in the paper. If you did, Arsenal will have 4 managers on Monday morning - Allegri, Poch, Nuno and Rodgers.

{Ed001's Note - and yet the one they have actually approached is Marcelino. Odd how crap the papers are when it comes to getting things right.}

3.) 30 Nov 2019 11:31:26
Agree Ed, all just click bait.

4.) 30 Nov 2019 12:21:09
Pretty negative comments demon, accusing Nuno of being a judas; tut tut! Guy has more credibility than the trash you read and espouse. Keep the Faith.

Wolves are shopping in Portugal again. Danilo Pereira, Yacine Brahimi and Ruben Dias to join this summer. A striker on loan late in the window to follow.

1877

1.) 22 Jun 2019 18:26:25
Ruben Dias is valued at £80mil and united are said to be happy to pay that for him. I’m not sure he’ll be coming to wolves at that price unfortunately. Fosun are doing a fantastic job at trying to bring in extra revenue from here, there and everywhere to keep us out of FFP trouble and give us more money to play with but, we’re not quite Man City yet. It’s more of the same I think. Maybe 2 in permanent then 2/ 3 on loan with options and more game time for the youngsters coming through which is great.

Benfica starlet Joao Felix is reportedly a target for Wolves. Dubbed the "next Cristiano Ronaldo".

Not the first time we've been linked with a Portuguese wonderkid is it? One who's agent is a certain J. Mendes.

Felix plays in attack alongside Jota in the Under 21 side too.

1877

1.) 11 Feb 2019 18:27:41
Mendes isn't his agent.

2.) 11 Feb 2019 21:38:51
Stop thinking about bench warmers. What’s needed is a new GK behind Ruddy as number one. Rui Patricio is a camel. Bennett not good enough, nor is Jonny, nor is Costa. Weak Premiership below 6th. Relegation in 2021. v. Newcastle showed av. Joe Championship team.

3.) 12 Feb 2019 07:36:55
What has Bennett done wrong, I admit he isn't the most talented footballer but he does what is said on the tin
Jonny is a decent defender, Spain wouldn't of given him international caps otherwise, Costa must admit don't know what's going on with him, definitely a confident issue.

4.) 12 Feb 2019 09:13:13
Wobbly Bobblies, you need to give your head a wobble mate,

5.) 12 Feb 2019 10:41:55
Sometimes I think Wobblybobblies is a wind up merchant.

6.) 12 Feb 2019 11:39:17
I can't understand what has happened to Costa, he is shadow of his former self. Confidence and commitment seem to be an issue, someone needs a long chat with him. Traore contributed well but the team looked well off colour, perhaps Marbella does not agree with them?

7.) 12 Feb 2019 13:38:17
Wobbly is a troll. Clearly. Boring now too.

8.) 14 Feb 2019 19:51:36
Mendes is his agent, according to him.

How good can Jota and Traore become?

Both 23, unstoppable at times. With more goals and assists they could reach the very top.

Jota reminds me of a young Hazard. Sticky and direct. Traore, well, he's unique. Don't think the world of football has seen any player like him before. Olympic sprinter would can dribble past anyone and everyone!

Rumours will now start around these two. Wouldn't see Wolves cash in even if £80m-£100m each was on the table. Good times at WWFC.

Agree in a few years time they both could be world beaters.
FWAW.

23 Nov 2017 18:33:37
There seems to be a swagger about this team. They up their game when they need to. I really think there will be a team this season that we face when everything clicks and we hit 6 past them!

1877

1.) 24 Nov 2017 07:53:46
Agree 1877 hoping we don't get complacent 2mora as we really should put bolton to the sword but sods law can bite us in the backside. mistakes I make at work (who never made a mistake has never done anything) are simple tie your shoe lace jobs hope we get 5 and clean sheet fwaw.

2.) 24 Nov 2017 19:35:56
Phil789 couldn't agreen more. Well all be hoping for 3 or 4 but it dos'nt always go to plan. If it ends 1-1 let's not start moaning. I feel confident but realistic 2-1. (4 again in my heart)

With Wolves seemingly on the look out for a new striker, who would you pick out of these rumoured forwards

Rhodes (£12m)
Martin (£6m)
Afobe (£10m)
A Kone (£3m-£5m)
Sylla (£5m)
Balotelli (Loan)
Assombalonga (£12m)

Mason And Bod are doing the business right now and with Dicko coming back, and Ennis showing promise, do we need a striker?

1877

1.) 22 Aug 2016 13:25:03
Rhodes allday.

2.) 22 Aug 2016 13:37:09
Yes imo. Rhodes for me.

02 Aug 2016 17:03:19
Anyone heard more about Cavaleiro?

With the new Icelandic forward standing at 6ft 3, are Wolves going to play wide and attack with old fashioned wingers?

Henry and Wallace aren't good enough sadly.

Costa and Cavaleiro however would be like the days of Kightly and Jarvis! Attack, attack, attack attack attack!

1877

1.) 02 Aug 2016 17:33:49
Costa hopefully, and Graham might be up to the mark if he's fit. We also have Byrne but I suspect he will be away as will Evans. I reserve judgment on Henry. When he's good, he's up there with the best in the league. He might work better with Bod than anyone else in the team for all we know.

Nuno needs to be backed with funds

Had Wolves not had injuries we still would be weaker this year than previous years. The youth will develop and come through. Just we are in danger of becoming another Southampton where we build a good team and lose our best players to the top 6. A Portuguese feeder club.

This season is a write off. FA cup run would be nice. But that can be cut short with one bad game. Wolves need to get to 40 points and coast. The hierarchy may be sitting back to see if the season is postponed. Not worth spending millions if the Premier league stops again.

If Liverpool had our injuries it would be like missing Firminho (Raul), Salah (Adama), Mane (Podence), Robertson (Jonny) and VVD (Boly) . Neto and Neves are carrying this team. We don’t have the squad to cope with a handful of injuries. That’s been Nunos gamble from day one. Bring on next season with everybody back and hopefully fans in the stadiums!

Cutrone did work hard and put himself about. He needed a run in the team. I’m excited to see what he can do. If he gets that first goal early on his confidence will soar!

Still think a cheeky 6-month loan for Origi suits everyone. Need some power up front and Origi can play across to the left or ST. A scorer of important goals which could see Wolves creep up the table.

No further investment and Wolves look like finishing lower mid table. 12-15th sadly.

Costa doesn’t fit Wolves profile - Sky Sports

How doesn’t he?

Proven goal scorer in Prem
Can play loan striker role
Speaks Portuguese
Point to prove
Mendes client
Wolves have signed two players from Atl Madrid since Nuno - I know Costa’s now a free agent - we do clearly scout their players and he’s available no fee.

Vinagre should play LW. Not unlike Bale in his early years. Rapid but a liability. Not saying he will become as good as Bale. I remember under Redknapp when Bale played at the back Spurs struggled. Pushed him forward and he exploded into life. Wish we could try Vinagre in a front three. Remember when he made Walker look a fool.
