Credible interest in Wales and Cardiff striker Kieffer Moore. I'm sure it will divide opinion.

I think he could be very usefulfor us such a threat in the air and 20 Championship goals last season isn't shabby.

TommyTatter

1.) 23 Aug 2021 18:12:11
Depends on the price. He may be an option off the bench but at 29 no one has rated him as a potential prem player yet, so that option seems to have gone unless it is through championship promotion.

2.) 23 Aug 2021 18:27:24
Not so sure about him personally I don't think he is good enough back up to Raul starting to get a little jittery now some stories of spurs wanting Adam on loan with option to buy if this is the case I don't think we are that stupid enough to do that deal I personally see him going but will cost them 50 million plus (spurs think they dealing with Morgan) we ain't stupid you have 150 million from selling kane to city that's a done deal if spurs get replacements they know if they sold kane before replacing then teams will add 10 million to the price of player because they know spurs will need.

3.) 23 Aug 2021 22:48:45
Id imagine the club have a massive deal ready if Traore goes.
Maybe it would be that Madeuke?
Cant see anything in the Cardiff player nor Lookman rumours.
Obviously journalists and agents band any club and player around to stir an interest.
Would expect cover for Neto to be in place now though. Guedes?
Not sure what Brunos thinking is with the rest of the squad.
He will want a striker he can trust. I reckon Vinicius deal is possible.
Tomorrow nights game will be interesting. Will he take it serious as instructed by Jeff? Or is it a competition the club aren't bothered about.

4.) 24 Aug 2021 03:14:35
If we are genuinely looking for a big, strong Championship goal scorer, My preference would be Lucas Joao from Reading. One goal less than Keizer Moore last year BUT, one year younger, more experienced, Portuguese and worked with Bruno at Sheffield Wednesday.
Given that Ivan Toney reached top flight with Brentford, Adam Armstrong would have been my next choice, He is a Maupey type of player and is going to get goals, wherever he plays. Hats off to Southampton they’ve put their money where their mouth is as they did previously, with Ings and Adams. There are some gems out there in the lower leagues, in luding non-league clubs. If they are finding the net with monotonous regularity, irrespective of the division, they are worth looking at. Goal scoring is instinctive. Hoping that Fabio’s record at youth level will stand him in good stead, once he acclimatises to change of country and bulks-up to face the rigours of Premier League. Certainly looks like he has spent time in the gym over the break. Run out against Forest could be quite illuminating!

5.) 24 Aug 2021 10:14:47
I personally welcome Kieffer Moore with open arms. The guy scores goals and is rated very highly by Cardiff fans. now hear me out. he scored 20 last season for a side that finished 8th in the championship. imagine what he could do with Adama, Neves, Moutinho, Trincao and Jimenez playing with him.

6.) 24 Aug 2021 10:44:38
Buying Kieffer Moore for any amount of money when we are strapped for cash (even if Traore goes) is nothing short of a disgrace. This is a guy who has played most of his career at a very low level (including playing against me! ) and has had a decent 18 months or so playing in a side who are not as technically gifted as most. He will flop, and as a 3rd choice with no long term future or resale value £7-10m is way too much. This would be a huge mistake, a "different option" up front for me needs to be a pacy fox in the box not a lump to boot balls too.

7.) 24 Aug 2021 14:51:53
MM knows where there’s some easy money to be had.

20 Aug 2021 06:45:31
Sky Sports banding us in with Tottenham and Leicester to be after Noni Madueke English Winger from PSV done very well out there.

If it wasn't a typical sky throw every club at it and hope it sticks report I'd be excited about this link.

Seems more and more likely Adama replacements lined up now.

TommyTatter

1.) 20 Aug 2021 11:41:31
Does traore want to go to spurs then. Thought he had had enough of nuno and is crap playing methods.

2.) 21 Aug 2021 08:06:05
Pretty relaxed about the deals going on.
Seem to have targets lined up for Neves and Traore if either go.
Can't help but think neither will go though. 15 pros training with 5 out with injuries that are short-long term.
I expect a cb, midfielder and striker.
I think we should look to attract an attacking midfielder so we can break teams down and change the point of attack from wide players and Raul. As its too predictable in the prem.
I would go for a left back on loan as cover for Marcal amd Ait Nouri.
Frees Marcal to play as left cb which he did successfully before joining Wolves.

3.) 22 Aug 2021 11:44:28
The telegraph reporting that club sanctioned deals for Tielemens and Kwang-Lee under Nuno. But Nuno vetoed deals.
I am a big fan of Nuno but if this is true I can see how the relationship broke down since January 2020.
If this is true you can see why Jeff just brought fabio Silva last summer. The deal was there to be done. In two years we could be saying excellent business.

4.) 22 Aug 2021 15:58:57
We are going down mark my words. Bruno is not Nuno.

5.) 22 Aug 2021 16:05:29
Don't be daft. work. in. progess.

6.) 22 Aug 2021 17:30:45
We won't go down.
I did leave the Mol today scratching my head though.
After today what do we buy?
And is Traore leaving as he seemed to say his good byes to the crowd.

7.) 23 Aug 2021 08:41:23
It’s no good having a player who can beat half of the opposition and then fail to deliver any end product 9 times out of 10. Traore cost us points in both the opening fixtures,
get rid for maximum price and invest in our squad which is still to small.

8.) 23 Aug 2021 09:16:19
Fable666 Bruno is better than nuno. It's fosun what the problem is.

9.) 23 Aug 2021 16:32:53
I read that Telegraph article madman. Clearly there are 2 sides to every story. The article put things into perspective. If even the players felt that Nuno had lost his spark, that was telling. If Nuno vetoed the signing of Tielemens, that was a major blunder. And to table666 above, I'm glad to say that Bruno is no Nuno. Bruno is a better coach and a more attacking coach!

10.) 25 Aug 2021 13:48:11
Careful lads, this common sense your saying about transfers and Nuno flys in the face of what some on here beleieve. Which is that Jeff Shi is playing Footy Manager with the club, despite the fact there is little to no chance or evidence that he plays any active role in scouting what so ever! 🤣.

17 Aug 2021 12:32:26
Loads circulating that Neto has had a setback with his recovery and will be out for most of the season.

TommyTatter

1.) 17 Aug 2021 13:50:17
Talking rubbish!

2.) 17 Aug 2021 13:55:53
Yes seen that what a blow if true hope its rubbish
We seem to be getting a lot of injuries lately don't know why but we got away with it for a couple of seasons with minimal injuries we can't afford to get anymore.

3.) 17 Aug 2021 20:25:15
Injuries are down to intensity of training. Lage pushes them harder than Nuno. Remember Mad Mick they were always getting injured in training.

4.) 18 Aug 2021 13:38:59
How do you know Lage pushes them harder than Nuno exactly?! And how come the injuries in question happened under Nuno then exactly?! Or maybe it's just because we had one of the best Heads of Sports Science in the world (Phil Hayward) and we lost him to LA Galaxy?! The simple answer is often the right answer I'm afraid! 🤣.

5.) 18 Aug 2021 21:29:29
Seems it's true sadly, confirmed by Spiers.
February at the earliest. Big blow.

10 Aug 2021 19:22:50
Rumour from Radio Marca Spain that an agreement for Okay Yokuslu is close.

He is supposedly pushing for a move to Wolves.

TommyTatter

1.) 11 Aug 2021 06:52:07
That sounds like an okay transfer Tommy. 😉.

2.) 11 Aug 2021 07:11:01
We aren't after him.
Why would they sign the names they have signed the past 4 years and just sign anyone now?
Oh and Fosun brought a 30% share in a liquor company worth $266 million during the C.V.
So the money isn't a problem.

3.) 11 Aug 2021 10:09:06
Madman, money is no problem for Fosun Group. But how much they can provide to Wolves is a problem, with FFP constraints. However it is of some comfort that Fosun have oodles of money, as they don't need to extract money from Wolves. At least we have that.

4.) 11 Aug 2021 13:34:24
Well Liam Keen from E&S has seemingly killed that rumour

Although they have been wrong before.

Shame good player.

5.) 11 Aug 2021 18:03:14
Exactly deep throat.
Im just bored of the fans thinking the bhatti brothers are back. 😂
Just can't see why Fosun would invest so much and then sell every valuable assets (aka the players) .
Just bored of the scare mongering.
Let the club be creative and find the players Bruno wants.
Everything is set for Wolves to sign some decent players.
They have money.
Other big clubs need to sell.
We have big ambitions.
And bruno will want to put his mark on the team.

6.) 11 Aug 2021 20:01:43
I’ve seen reports suggesting that Fosun requires the football club to stand on its own feet and won’t be throwing money at it. I have no problems with this stance but does the same principle hold for Gestifute and are we therefore free now to start wheeling and dealing without the application of the extortionate agent fees that Mendes will levy for having his fingers constantly in our transfer pies?
I’m looking at quite a few deals that we may or may not be looking at going by the wayside and I wonder if it’s due to the lack of his interest or involvement. Autonomy across the board I say unless all parties are benefitted.

7.) 11 Aug 2021 22:32:19
S A N Without Mendes fingers in our pies as you put it we wouldn’t be where we are today, do you think even half the players that got us to two 7ths and a 13th in the last 3,seasons would have come to a newly promoted side without his influence? Ask Fulham WBA Sheffield united to name just 3 if they would have liked Mendes involved with there club? Not saying all is perfect regarding Mendes influence in our club but would rather have him on our side to be honest.

8.) 12 Aug 2021 10:59:43
Wolveswinorlose, my point wasn’t to slag off Mendes for the sake of it and I do recognise his influence over the last 4 years. More to the point I think we should tap into that source of influence and pool of talent as we need it and not become reliant on it. At a stage when we are operating on a tight budget we can’t miss out on useful wheeler-dealing just because he isn’t pulling the strings to those deals. Our competitors can source as they choose and so should we.

9.) 12 Aug 2021 13:10:51
Fire fire panic stations it never amazes me we all become directors of wolves fc .

Fosun own wolves
Fosun will not allow wolves to finish lower than 15th in the premiership for the next five years .
Fosun have bought a good youth system and players .
Fosun are a fantastic business amongst top business around the world .
Fosun are thinking on improving molineux.
Fosun are obtaining huge sponsorships from around the world .
I could go on etc ….

Wolves fans we are not a family club anymore wake up we are a football business .
We will see good players come and go over the next five years Fosun will keep us in the premiership for the next five years 7th to 15th with the on exception of a couple of good cup runs after that we might see wolves really compete with the so called top six .
Better than playing away in merith titville Wales sleet, rain no cover from weather.
Transfers disappointed not really I’d like wolves to promote some of our 18-23’s the ones we’ve paid 2-6 million on and let us see for ourselves good money or bad money.

After all 2-6 million if we’d paid that when in the championship for every player we would of expected them to play in the first team but now they are back up 😊

Keep some experience promote youth that’s the way every company works and grows it’s never changed .

Back our under 23rs under get them on the pitch .

Come on Fosun come on wolves?
Come on you fans .

Rafa Mir very close to sealing Aleti Madrid transfer. Per Romano tweet.

I'd bet we've got a striker coming in imminently if Mir deal is going through.

TommyTatter

1.) 07 Aug 2021 10:39:05
I agree Tommy. i'd be more concerned if the players we have been linked to were snapped up by clubs around us or higher.
Somethings happening at City and Liverpool though. City need to move players on. And Liverpool will want to strengthen after luckily getting 4th last season.

Sven Botman deal completely fallen through according to Romano

Tosin Adarabioyo next player we a pushing for before deadline.

Caleta Car non starter also via RMC France.

Renato Sanches. Anyone heard anythin.

16 Aug 2021 21:07:18
Lots of Links to Sergio Olivera from Porto. It's not quite the Defensive midfielder we need. But as an all around midfield player he offers a lot more than what we have currently.

TommyTatter

15 Aug 2021 22:01:52
Two well know journalists two well touted players. Varying accuracy in the stories they have dropped previously but you never know.

Ekrem Konur one of them

Sergio Olivera coming in. this one actually ticks quite a few boxes albeit probably not the defensive minded midfielder we may need

And the yearly links to Amadou Diawara have resurfaced quite a lot. From Roma.

TommyTatter

1.) 16 Aug 2021 02:48:40
Not sure why we played better in the second half and whether Dendonker for Moutinho was a factor. I, personally, think Neves plays better when Moutinho is not his midfield partner. He appears to defer to Moutinho when he plays alongside him but takes on greater responsibility when he is the senior central midfielder. I think Moutinho has been brilliant over past three seasons but despite his unfailing enthusiasm and amazing capacity to get up and down the field, his impact on the game is diminishing rapidly. He needs to move to a slower paced game, wherever that may be and create an opening for us to bring in a deeper lying player to partner Neves. Don’t understand our reluctance to bid for Palhina, who looks an ideal partner for Neves.
I think holding on to Traore is key at least until Neto returns. If he and Podence are back late September they will provide loads of attacking options alongside Jimenez, Silva, Traore, Tincao and MGW, not forgetting Ait Nouri if he is being converted to an attacking midfielder.
My six penny worth on Otasowie is to keep him and get him involved as much as possible. He has attributes none of our other midfielders have.

2.) 16 Aug 2021 03:19:19
Wanted to comment on Kilman. Great performance yesterday but one which has been coming for a long time. He is a real defender. He is the only one of our defenders who keeps his eye on the ball when charging down a shot. All the others and many in other teams turn their back and inadvertently deflect the ball, wrong footing the keeper. Not Kilman; he faces the ball when it is being driven at goal and is then able to react to defend it.

Yesterday he showed a real turn of foot when driving forward into space which is something which we need to be able to do, especially with a back three. Wins more than his fair share of headers in attacking areas but needs to improve on the end product. Could be a 5+ goals a season player if he worked on his finishing, At present he is a poor man’s Harry Maguire, which is a no bad starting point!
Build his self belief and confidence and we are going to have one hell of an asset.

3.) 16 Aug 2021 19:13:04
I agree kilman was man of the match for me on Saturday from a wolves point of view he’s obviously comfortable with the ball at his feet and made some outstanding challenges he is getting better and better.

10 Aug 2021 07:50:29
Cutrone to stay and prove his worth according to E&S piece. Lage questioned over him.

One crucial piece of the puzzle is to get more out the players we have. Supposed to be one of Lage's best traits. I like how Cutrone always puts a shift in. His pressing numbers stat wise are some of the best in Europe. However goals is what he needs goes without saying.

The fact we haven't got more business done before the season opener is a concern. But we will always make signings out of nowhere.

Centre back and a solid midfield player sooner than later though!

TommyTatter

1.) 10 Aug 2021 10:30:29
I'm not a fan of Cutrone but if he stays I think Bruno will improve him. Who knows, stats can be misleading. Steve Bull didn't sound up to much when we signed him from Albion! The signing of Raul Jimenez didn't exactly set the Wolves fan base alight but he became arguably our best centre forward since the turn of the century.

2.) 10 Aug 2021 10:36:29
Like cutrone too definitely puts in a shift would love an experienced cb asap.

3.) 10 Aug 2021 11:32:24
Thats positive, its noticable how -at the moment - many of the rumours surrounding players departing are subsiding or seemingly not materialising. I think we all -half full as well as half empty posters- know the spine of the squad needs strengthening but it looks like Bruno and the players are looking to give each other their best.

4.) 10 Aug 2021 11:54:14
I always felt when Cutrone played for us he was quite isolated and not always picked out by the midfield. Seemed on a hiding to nothing most games for all his effort and you could see him getting frustrated.

Would like to see him get some game time before the January window in a different tactical set up. If it works then great - it will be like a new signing. If it doesn't then the club should look to offload him permanently as one who didn't work out.

I'd like to see a right sided centre back come in as we never really replaced Bennet. Although we have Mosquera now, the right hand side is still light as Boly looks more comfortable on the left as do Saiss and Kilman, and I'm not really sure what Hoever's best position is.

Also a pacey central midfielder who can support the attack and break between the lines. A bit like what Maddison or Barnes do for Leicester. We wouldn't get those players but I'm sure there is someone of that mould out there for us.

29 Jul 2021 21:20:07
Rumours flying around on twitter and few reports we are rivaling Everton for Joaquin Correa.

For me he would be perfect second striker behind Raul. Brilliant player coming off a great season.
The Joao Felix role makes a lot of sense for Lageball

Adama to Liverpool will more than likely involve them trying to chuck players into the deal. I don't want to loose him at all. Like the look of Harvey Elliot though.

TommyTatter

1.) 30 Jul 2021 00:05:21
Personally I'd rather we kept Traore. I just think Lage will give him a bit more freedom and he'll show us what he can do. I think he was restricted by the tactics last season after Raul got injured.

The Correa rumour has been flying around since last week and doesn't seem to be moving forward. That may due to the player still being on holiday after the Copa America.

2.) 30 Jul 2021 11:18:53
We had two great seasons and one pretty average all be it in strange circumstances, lost one of our star players to the League Champions no less then managed to gift our Head Coach to a top six Club. As yet we haven’t strengthened from last season when only seven teams finished below us, this season is a new start and will be all about survival, the team needs two or three players with Premier League experience before the season starts and that’s if we don’t sell any more, we can’t rely on a few more youngsters coming in from abroad who may or may not be up to the task. The Premier League doesn’t stand still, it doesn’t allow Clubs to “do it on the cheap”, it doesn’t give you time to bring players in “for the future” without having some for the “here and now”, this seasons going rate for average Premiership players is between forty and fifty million, if you don’t compete, if it’s too rich for you, then you become a West Brom, a Blues or a Stoke, they all thought they could keep “getting away with it”.

3.) 30 Jul 2021 11:48:48
Agree wholeheartedly oxley, I'm hoping that once neves traore moutininho etc are resolved we'll be bringing in experience. I'm not expecting a winning start from us, but I'm hoping it'll come together and with it a top 10 finish.

4.) 30 Jul 2021 12:14:00
I hope you're wrong Ron but I fear you may well be right. We seem to be selling the spine of our team, if rumours are to be believed, and with the exception of Patricio, all to our rivals. Doherty to Spurs, Jota to Liverpool and now rumours of Neves to Man U, plus of course the most recent one, Traore to Liverpool.

The concern is, if this all happens, who replaces them and more importantly will they be better players with Premiership experience, the latter being the more doubtful.

5.) 30 Jul 2021 12:58:10
Why are you focusing on what might be. Neves and Traore are still Wolves players last time I checked.

OK, Patricio has been sold but he's been replaced with a younger keeper with experience. Has anyone else been sold yet? But conveniently the signings of Mosquera and Trincao have slipped your mind.

If other clubs were signing players then yes, I would question what the club were doing but the fact is not many clubs are doing so.

6.) 30 Jul 2021 13:10:15
I tend to agree with the later posts and am trying to console myself with the fact that hopefully Raul and Jonny Castro Otto will be upgrades on last season when back. Hopefully we won't lose anyone else. However the reality seems to be that maybe (for whatever reason) we aren't able to sign experienced players in the mould of Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho on a regular basis and at an affordable price.

7.) 30 Jul 2021 14:14:43
I find it hard to believe Otto will come back the same player if at all.
We are all banking on Raul being as good as before he got injured.
What if he's not?
Where will the goals come from then?
If cutrone and mir are being sold we need two strikers to replace them with proven experience.
I don't think we can wing it this season.

8.) 30 Jul 2021 14:54:15
Bigcheese, yes like I said hopefully Raul and Jonny Castro Otto will be upgrades on last season.

I've backed Fosun and Shi in many situations. But these last 3 days of business have been pathetic and ultimately make us look weak negotiators moving forward.

We honestly expect players like Adama to sign new contracts. its not like we needed to add maybe one more to make up the squad. We needed key players .

Lack of ambition and killer instinct. We will pay for this window.

I do agree with all of that Madman.

Unfortunately I don't see us getting any of those deals over the line.

I feel Botman will probably plump for Sevilla and Madueke has just signed a new deal and would only come if Traore goes.

Leicester do seem to have the ideal model for signing players. Damn good recruitment team over there. Of course CL helps. Good before that though.

I think you have to have sure fire deals in place before you let big players go seems common sense approach.

It doesn't always work out that way. Mir looked sure fire to leave for Atletico Madrid, before Sevila swooped in. Had people like Romano saying the Atleti deal was close. Things can change quickly. It's hard not to be reactionary at times.

Ideally you would like a comparible Grealish like situation. Guaranteed money is put on the table we take 2-3 days to get incoming players sorted before it's accepted.

That's the problem with that deadline day business. It's a mad scramble and massive stress. Hence the Nuno story of deadline day with Dendoncker where he set the fire alarms off down at compton because ne needed a fag. (The Atletic)

If we are buying wingers/ striker like Guedes I'd sooner go for Luis Diaz from porto. Would only be a bit more as they need to sell.

Makes sense that we move quickly on someone like him if Adama does go.

As for Ruben Semedo like Toloui said unlikely to get a permit because of his criminal past. Logic seems to prevail on that one. Not long left now squeaky bum time. they said it would go to the wire in that interview for fans. Sellers and Shi.
