Jared Gillet. Man I dislike him. But I dislike our players more. Two stupid fouls to give away penalties. What are you doing Yerson!

I would like to know why R. Gomes is on the bench and Wolves play an old oap who gives away a penalty - unbelievable by RE.

07 Feb 2026 15:42:45
How managers is it going to take to realise that we don't have the players good enough to play a back 4! Going to be a cricket score.

07 Feb 2026 15:48:04
Looks like it took Rob 43 mins to realise!

07 Feb 2026 15:58:13
0-3 at half time, what price a cricket score. Embarrassing!

07 Feb 2026 17:12:21
If you don't know your starting 11 with the player's we've got is very concerning. Only my opinion so don't hang me but I said at the time that Edwards is not the best for us and he definitely won't bring us back up. picking hwang is now beyond a joke and I don't believe he was injured I think he bottled it.

07 Feb 2026 20:55:54
Lexluna totally agree about Hwang,

07 Feb 2026 09:59:13
Think the majority of fans having seen the games would say Hwang has been poor this season except for maybe 2 games. 2 seasons ago for a while he looked a good player. I get that none of the players have been particularly good this season, however in my opinion Hwang, probably along with Toti have been terrible.

Like others have said he must be excellent in training as all managers include him every week, shame we don’t see the same when it matters.
Any chance of a win today?

Not if Hwang starts. He'll do his usual. When we look to be pushing forward, he slow down the play and pass backwards or, if anyone is running ahead of him, he'll try a quick pass but it will go to an opposition player. I think the team should be: Sa, Jackson, Mosquera, Krejci, Santi, Joao, Rodrigo, Mane, Bellegarde, Angel, Tolu.

07 Feb 2026 14:16:40
Well he's in the team Goodwhile. He must be doing something asked of him, or appearances are in his contract?
I've been a little focused on him I admit and I can't see what he brings to the team apart from a couple of touches a game, he seems lost a lot of the time.

Anyhow, gomes and gomes in midfield, mane Armstrong and Tulo, I think we'll see a good game which we could maybe nick.
Doc back starting at the expense of Kreicji who's not 90mins fit it would seem.
Hope the new lads shine and we've something to sing about come 5 o'clock.

We have to thank Jeff Shi. We will have one of the best training grounds in the Championship.

Nine clubs in the current Championship built new Stadiums in the not too distant past, three of them could be promoted this season, we’ve always been told “first the team” yet as we prepare to take our place in the second tier we have neither, if we’re having a rebuild maybe the club should consider starting with the Stadium, either with or preferably without Fosun.

07 Feb 2026 06:48:49
In fairness Handsome, the Scouse Scally did most of the upgrading.
Also he did improve the stadium a little bit, the new Stan Cullis Stand.
In 10 years, Fosun have failed to do upgrade as they had promised.

07 Feb 2026 13:23:34
As I understand, there were major upgrades to Compton right after Nuno arrived.

06 Feb 2026 14:45:56
Seen some odd team news for tomorrow, team that I have seen is:-
Sa, Wolfe, Santi, Krejci, Mosquera, Jackson, Andre, Joao, Angel, Hwang and Armstrong.
Surely Hugo and R. Gomes start, was also hoping Hwang would not start with our new additions.
Think Rob was again praising Hwang in the week, guess he has too.
Be interesting to see our starting line up tomorrow as always.

06 Feb 2026 15:27:03
If Hwang plays this week you have to say what's the point of signing anyone. Can't believe RE rates him, every week the weakest player and still makes the side. He's not doing your reputation any good Rob.!

06 Feb 2026 16:32:47
In all honesty I’m guessing playing Hwang is the only thing Fosun have insisted RE do. God help him! 🙄
We all know he’s $#!T

06 Feb 2026 17:12:39
Maybe he keeps playing Hwang because (like those before him) RE rates him or it could even be because he's our joint top goal scorer.?! I have to be honest I think Hwang gets a rough ride, he's got 2 goals and an assist in 19 apps. Tolu on the other hand has 1 goal and no assists in 20 apps having had FAR better chances but I don't see anyone questioning his place in the same way.

Also when people assume that multiple managers are openly lying about there reasons for picking the guy and it's ONLY because of marketing then I think it's time to take off the foil hats gents! I'm not saying I think the guys a world beater but when all of the managers we have had continue to pick him are we essentially saying we don't trust a single one of their judgements?! Or is it not FAR more likely that as fans we don't seem to appreciate what he brings to the team in the same way that those managers that work with him day in day out seem to? I also think it's worth noting here that if he should chose to stay next year I think he would be VERY handy in the Champ as it's the sort of level that he should shine at 👍

06 Feb 2026 18:16:23
The difference between Tolu and Hwang is that Tolu actually brings something to the team, be that a physical threat, aerial threats or his like up play with the other players. Hwang on the other hand doesn't do any if that. He's had 1 decent game this season (against West Ham).

I remember a few years ago speaking to some Japanese tourists in Birmingham City Centre. They had paid £000's for a travel package to watch Man Utd. This was via an official club sponsor. This was in the days of Sun Ji Park. I believe Brighton do something similar now that Mitoma is a superstar in his homeland.

Is it possible that Wolves are doing something similar with Hwang and South Koreans? I mean there's got to be a reason why the clubs official streaming partner is Kocawa.

06 Feb 2026 18:48:23
In your opinion Hwang offers nothing but REs selection policy and recent press release would suggest (like those that came before him) they don't especially agree! Like I say it's not like I'm a big fan of the guy, I'm just not sure that he's any worse than any of the other MANY passengers we've had in the team this year?!
And whilst I suspect you are correct Good in that his presence probably does bring 'some' extra money in let's be realistic here shall we.

Cause he won't be bringing in more money than Prem status is worth and if peeps honestly think that successive managers would risk there own and the clubs reputation by picking a guy they don't rate then I fear we may be a little beyond the looking glass with our opinions of Fosuns stewardship of the club?!
Also worth noting here that '1 decent game this season' is pretty much how you'd describe this WHOLE clubs entire season so far, so I don't think Hwangs alone on that front! 👍

06 Feb 2026 19:00:43
I have to agree Bully, Hwang seem to be the new scapegoat, he offers something, and to be fair to him, he has played ok recently, there are moments where he could be better, but generally the whole team could, Hwang wants to be here and that will do me, we can clearly seen now who doesn't, we have paid much more money for one or 2 players who have done far worse than Hwang, so cut him some slack.

06 Feb 2026 19:54:07
BullysBoy, we'll never know what goes on a boardroom level, but from my own personal experience, having been to every home game this season, Hwang is easily the worst player this season. He's had one decent game. Everyone around me in the North Bank say the same thing about him.

07 Feb 2026 14:58:37
Bullysboy Hwang is crap.
He’s played by every manager because they’re told to play him. That can be the only reason!

Between January 2026 and the close of the summer window I expect Wolves to have sold Andre, Joao, Agbadou, Sa and Arias for a combined £115m.

How much will they spend on what will be a very depleted squad? My guess is nothing as they'll use the remaining players that are currently here.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2026 06:43:39
Rubbish spend nothing if that's the case Wolves will be in the conference league very
soon. Considering they had bids in for 3 other players in this window which were knocked back.

06 Feb 2026 10:11:48
Usual pessimistic views then good

06 Feb 2026 10:46:32
Good - Sadly I think you are spot on however I would go further and suggest that there will be one or two more departures as well.
As Demon says below Mane will almost certainly be gone and I imagine Krejci, Wolfe, Hwang, Tolu and several others will also be on the block!
Re acquisitions I hope you are being pessimistic as I fear the club will be short on bodies if nothing else but I agree the amount spent will be a fraction of the amount brought in.
Frankly it has to be as substantial sums will be needed to pay down Wolves unsustainable debts and transfer income is the only revenue source available to do it.

However as shown with Armstrong for JSL and Gomes A for Arias it is possible to find players who can compete in the Champ, (and frankly many of those leaving wouldn't have been up to the job), for that fraction.
It is not going to be easy and of course it might go badly wrong but it hasn't been too peachy of late anyway!

06 Feb 2026 11:05:43
Good, you can probably add Mane to that list. If his form continues he will be too good for the championship. If on the the other hand he fades, a spell in the championship with us will help his development.

06 Feb 2026 15:22:39
I really don't see the point of Fosun keeping us and why would anyone players with any ambition either want to stay or come and join us now having seen how our owners perform. No interest in improving the stadium and and/or increasing capacity. No interest in getting additional revenue streams or expanding our brand. Can anyone honestly think we'll attract the likes of a Neves, Jota, Moutiniho, Jimenez, Patricio, etc again for the project.

There is no project. IMO it would be far better for Fosun to sell our better players (Which they're going to do anyway) to cut their losses and then sell us. It's a risk with new owners obviously, but there is simply no ambition with these owners as we've seen, despite them saying otherwise.

06 Feb 2026 15:56:55
I see in the short term (this week) we seem to be absolutely determined to get less points than Derby! I understand selling Arias (good price) and Agbadou (who I suspect has pushed hard for the move). However, the fee on Agbadou is typically poor, £1m profit makes it hardly worth doing.

What I also don't get is that both clubs wanted both players from the start of the window, so why didn't we say we would only sanction the business before the deadline so we could reinforce (even had it just been with loans) so as to ensure we didn't leave RE horribly short which it's starting to very much look like it will be the case?! Whereas what we seem to have done (in classic Fosun style) is delayed the business till after the dead line so they can shrug and say 'got to take the money and sadly we can't now reinforce' 🙄
I understand we have to prep for next season but if we spend the rest of this season getting humped weekly in the league then we are in very real danger of being in free fall before we even arrive in Champ! Not to mention that RE could lose all credibility with the squad if we fail to register another win before the season ends?! Sorry gents but it's same old same old, they say they care about the fans and will have a go till the end of the season but in truth they are just winding the club down year on year!

They didn’t want to sell the club but they wanted their money back so they sold any player they could to bring in the cash while retaining control of the club.
If they were to sell the club today how much would it be worth?
The protests must have affected them as they removed Jeff as a token gesture and replaced him with Nathan.
Protests need to be ramped up and if the Chelsea game goes the same way as it did last season this could see the stadium emptying before the final whistle.
