Very happy it's not just me that thought Toti was terrible yesterday. He has been a liability all season, quite happy if he never plays for us again to be honest.
Read somewhere that he said it was important not to make mistakes, leading by example then.

Still annoyed with it all. Thought he would have improved since earlier in season when both him and Agbadou used to have a competition in goal assists for the opposition.

What a season.

Apart from a few months during one season, hasn't he always been terrible? He'll probably be half decent in the Championship, but I can't see Wolves paying him 50k per week on the off chance that he is. Also, do they want to keep him when he'll still be the skipper? That idiot Vitor Pereira and his lorry load of 'leaders'. Plank.

Had a think about possible new managers for next season.
Moutinho would be a good choice, he would have great knowledge of players in Portugal. He knows the club and he has a level of respect from the fans.
Scott Parker looks like he’s going down with Burnley; however, he has had three promotions.

Couple of strikers would also be needed so take a look at J Windass, he has a decent goal scoring record and that’s in a mid table team at Swansea so might be open to a move.

19 Apr 2026 14:40:25
Moutinho?! Are you going to contribute towards his £120,000 per week and his £5 million pay off? What about his assistant and coaches, who'll cost a combined £250,000 per week.

0

19 Apr 2026 16:18:12
Joao Moutinho is not on £120k per week.

His contract at SC Braga expires on 30th June 2026, so there is no £5m pay off.

Unless you're thinking of Jose Mourinho.

Very good spot, Good. Apologies, as I was thinking of the nutter who managed Chelsea. Nevertheless, we ain't getting Joao Moutinho as manager. He would cost too much money. He would probably make a seriously good head coach, and the Wolves fans adore him, but he is currently way too good for Wolves. Wolves are now a Championship team with shedloads of debt and cheap owners.

Nothing will change with a different manager. It's the owners that need to be changed.

Has anyone applied for tickets to the BBC Fans forum with Nathan Shi, Rob Edwards and Matt Jackson?

I have and if selected I want to ask them the following:

1 Why did you decide in November 2025 to employ Rob and instruct him to prepare the squad for a promotion push next season when there were over 70 points still to play for?

2 If the plan was to face relegation, have targets been identified and spoken to who could help with a promotion push?

3 At what point did the owners decide to sell the better players every year only to replace them with vastly inferior replacements?

4 What is the plan if the club are not promoted

5 What are the stadium plans?

6 Does Nathan Shi answer to Jeff Shi. If he does, why make the change at the top of the old regime are still making the final decisions?

7 Does the management accept their failures and how do they propose to address them and get us fans back on side?

8 Will the Manager be backed financially?

You missed one question. Good, why was Rob Edwards employed in the first place.

5

19 Apr 2026 16:58:39
Just applied.

I would be asking this question, and, if anything, it might just ruffle a few feathers all round.

1- Why, when you, Fosun, set about becoming a club to compete in the Champions League, did you suddenly change tact - decide to get rid of the MD, consistently sell your best players, and refuse, point-blank, to do anything structurally to the stadium? If, in your defence, you feel you have not been allowed to financially compete, then why have you not considered taking legal action against the Premier League and other clubs who have repeatedly profited in performance through cheating?

Very poor performance again yesterday. Spent good money to watch an RE team that would not win a Sunday league game. No tactics. And what is all the hype about Armstrong? He's like a Duracell battery, just runs and runs but without the final spark.

Everyone keeps saying he's a championship player. Is that why he didn't stay at West Brom due to his lack of goals or am I missing the point.

Possible line up for next season:-.
New Gk and Bentley.
Hugo, Santi, Krejci, Lima.
New LW, B. Traore, New CM, R. Gomes.
Mane, New CF, Armstrong and Tolu.
With 2 keepers and 12 outfield players on the pitch at the same time maybe we have a chance.

Joao, Andre, Sa and Johnstone to leave, also, Toti, Hwang, Angel and Bellegarde.
Lots of work to do over the summer and not at all convinced that Re and Co are capable.

19 Apr 2026 08:45:31
No mention of Mosquera?

0

19 Apr 2026 08:55:31
Good point, Doog. He can stay, not sure Krejci will, but 2 to choose from the 3 would be good. Toti was awful yesterday.

19 Apr 2026 12:20:30
Krejci won't stay and neither will Santi.

Fosun won't spend the money required to assemble a squad capable of fighting for promotion, but if they did, they need to consider Bazunu (GK) and Trippier once he leaves Newcastle.

Now I'm no Max Kilman fan, as he clearly isn't PL quality, but he could do a decent job in the Championship, so a season-long loan should be considered, as West Ham don't play him week in, week out.

Bazunu, Lima, Trippier, Mosquera, Kilman, Traore, Doyle, Rodrigo, Mane, Tolu, Armstrong.

Banksy51, Toti is awful all the time, but saying that puts him on a par with 95% of the players there. Just goes to show how bad things have got. Not sure on Re, but have to give Nathan Shi a chance and see what happens. I have said before, was it Fuson who stopped bankrolling the club or Jef Shi's idea that Wolves could do it by selling players.

For the first 4 seasons under Fuson, everything was fine. Then, all of a sudden, things changed. Why, as I've mentioned, was it Fuson or Jeff Shi? Then things got so bad he got the boot. Have to wait for the summer transfer window to see what happens. Are Fuson going to get back in the game?

1

19 Apr 2026 13:03:43
DMac123, Jeff hasn't been given the boot. He's actually been promoted and is, in fact, Nathan Shi's boss. He's just been removed from running the club, but is now the boss of the overall sports division (including Wolves).

Goodwhile, I know, but Shi had that job before, if reports are true, saying he's gone back to his old job. I think Fosun put him in charge of Wolves to get their Esports up and running, not to do anything at Wolves.

When it got that bad, Fosun put him back in his old job. Now Fosun have to prove they are committed to Wolves, and invest like they did before. Just to mention, Esports brings more money into Fosun than Wolves do, plus it's worldwide.

Anyone think that the reason Tolu and some of the others aren’t getting starts is because they aren’t putting it in in training? Wasn’t Tolu said to still be unfit about 3/4 months into the season? Do any of you get the feeling players have just come here in recent years for a pay check and to get spotted by bigger clubs and couldn’t care less about Wolves or this team? I see a few players that can be arsed most weeks: Hugo, Joao, Krejci, even though he’s starting to lose hope.

It’s easy to blame Rob and I don’t think he’s great, but the majority of the players aren’t good enough, have no confidence and also don’t care because they’ll be off next season. We’re in a bit of a spiral and we need a massive overhaul right through the squad. Sa doesn’t care. Neither does Tolu. Joao and Andre will be off first chance. I just hope someone comes in for Hwang!

Andre has spoken out saying he wants to stay and play for us next ssn.

19 Apr 2026 03:04:39
I've given myself time to get a clear head before posting. Right now the only one who seems to care is Armstrong. The rest couldn't give a hoot.
The two Buenos are exempt from the following rant too, as is R. Gomes.
Edwards should drop the lot of them.

Play the kids with Mane and Armstrong for the last 5 games.
Even golden can do no wrong. J. Gomes can do one; he has been poor.
I'm honestly tired of the lot of them and hope to never see them again.

There is a line from a Elvis Presley song. They can bring the curtain down. The curtain is down with Wolves losing their premiership status. Sad, yes. To be Realistic, just not good enough. Edwards won't need to tell the players you are playing for your future, most will gone at the end of the season.

Good luck trying to put a season highlight segment. It won't take long. I wonder what Armstrong is thinking joining Wolves from Southampton, on form they could be replacing Wolves in the premiership. Unless their are major changes on and off the pitch I can't see a quick return to the premiership. I hope I am wrong.

Is it a coincidence that Southampton's form has improved drastically since Adam Armstrong left them?

4

19 Apr 2026 03:00:24
Lay of Armstrong, he is the only one who actually seems to care.

19 Apr 2026 06:40:48
Armstrong was signed for next season. He will be good enough at that level.

I haven't posted for a while, but that was an awful performance. Re is not and has never filled me with confidence for this or next season. This is going to be a tricky close season which will be disrupted by the World Cup. It could mean some very late transfer activity which doesn't bode well for a good pre season.

We need players that want to play for us in the Championship which is a tough league. I wish Edwards well but if he is still there by the end of November I would be very surprised. Can't wait for this season to end.

2

18 Apr 2026 21:46:19
We also need proper coaches.

I suggest the soon to be free George Elokobi and Mike Stowell.

18 Apr 2026 18:49:02
I'm sorry. I will keep on saying it: Rob Edwards is not a manager, and he will do no good in the Championship where we've come from. It's a shame for every Wolves fan. Wolves ay we.

I just can't see why RE is still here, having said that I don't think any decent manager would want to come and work under Fosun.

1

18 Apr 2026 23:02:12
We could have the late, great Brian Clough, Sir Alex, or Pep in the dugout, and we'd still be in trouble. The players are rubbish, and no amount of coaching will change that fact. As the saying goes 'you can't polish a turd'.

0

19 Apr 2026 06:41:46
As above, the signings made in recent windows are just not good enough.

0

19 Apr 2026 08:29:41
But I think you highlight something there, Goodwhile. Cloughie and Sir Alex knew how to manage the players, did not stand egos, and got the best out of below-par performers.
This lot would be performing better if they had some discipline and respect for the club knocked into them.

Said it before, RE seems too nice, too laid back and a bit happy to be Wolves manager as opposed to being the Wolves custodian and actually being the face of Wolverhampton at this moment in time.
Things seem too happy go lucky at times, and that's not what you'd have had with a Clough or Ferguson.

19 Apr 2026 09:35:44
Two views clash a little bit here. On one hand, we have lots of criticism about the players not being good enough, so we shouldn't be too harsh on RE if we accept that he inherited a sub-standard squad.
On the other hand, RE is out of his depth and isn't managing the squad effectively. Can it be both?
My personal view is that RE has brought the worst out of the players, who seem confused and disoriented.

With someone in charge who has good man-management skills and some idea regarding tactics, this squad does have quality. Just watch what they achieve when they move on to a better-run club.
