You ain't going to get another.sir jack hayward.
At least he gave us the backing
The score for Saturday
I reckon 2-2
26 Sep 2025 18:26:11
Sir Jack got us into the PL but didn't back us so we went straight back down. He was a generous man but 'blinked' when we were promoted.
Just remember the millions being spent? You mean Fosun? Do you know that Fosun's net spend in the summer transfer window was only £2mil?
26 Sep 2025 19:12:18
Sir Jack spent a fortune on the club and achieved 1 year in the PL at which point he stopped backing the club. He also wasted a lot of money on failure. Also keep in mind for most of that failure we had Steve Bull. How much worse on the pitch could Sir Jack's tenure have been without him?
Fosun have backed the club financially - to say they haven't is very short sighted.
The issue now is being self sufficient partially due to PL rules and partially due to how Fosun want to run the club. They are not fans. They are in it to make money in the long term. However their efforts to grow revenue appear to have been blunt beyond PL TV money and it could end up costing them big time this season.
Also as much as Sir Jack was a fan of Wolves, with the amount of money in football now, I personally don't think he'd have had the resources to even keep the club afloat in the Championship never mind the top flight.
26 Sep 2025 13:46:22
Nevermind getting rid of current owners
Who's going to cough up the money if they leave.
When we had Derek Dougan
He found us the battie brothers
and who can remember what they did
Just remember the millions being spent.
We will survive stop moaning and back the team.
Some of you just moan and groan
Go watch the albion.
26 Sep 2025 14:56:46
I can't say I've read anything anti Shi or Fosun for a while so I've no idea what or who you're referring to?
26 Sep 2025 15:27:52
Moby fans have a right to be concerned they pay their hard earned money so yeah we will voice our opinions.
If you're happy with owners with no ambition who are letting the stadium fall apart then that's on you.
The team is being backed by the fans so no idea why you said "back the team."
26 Sep 2025 15:47:37
Haha, so basically Moby everyone has to agree with absolutely everything Fosun does or go support another club? OK then fella, not sure you are understanding the point of an opinions forum to be honest buddy?! Are we all just supposed to post 'Fosun are perfect and up the Wolves' no more, no less! That would be interesting/fun wouldn't it 🤣👍
26 Sep 2025 16:43:48
Moby, posters on here will tell you that for a long while I backed Fosun but recently they have shown their ambition (nil) but no more. But backing the owners and backing the team are 2 very different things. I back the team 100% but not Fosun.
26 Sep 2025 21:30:43
I think most fans would now echo that sentiment Wandering. I support Wolves and have done for 60 years, owners like players and Managers come and go, Fosun need to consider their position.
26 Sep 2025 13:12:58
Which of these free agents would bolster Wolves midfield options and bring leadership?
Name. Age. Value. Last club
Dele Alli 29 £2 million Como
Hakim Ziyech 32. £4.5 mill. Al Duhail
A. Oxlade chamberlain 32 £2.1 mill Besitkas
Josh Dasilva. 26. £5 mill. Brentford
M. Pjanic. 35. £1 mill. CSKA Moscow
26 Sep 2025 14:43:25
None of them tbh. Only the English players could sign as we've registered a full compliment of overseas players. That leaves Alli, Chamberlain and DaSilva.
if you add up all of the appearances for all three players over the last 4 years the result is barely one full season. They're just not good enough!
26 Sep 2025 15:49:02
None of them.
26 Sep 2025 17:26:08
Deli Ali but on a pay as you play deal.
26 Sep 2025 09:17:04
So it's away at Spurs next, we do seem to perform better away at the moment. Has VP learned who is best team is? I think we may be in for a result of sorts, at least not a trouncing.
It's difficult to predict a result because unless he has, we can't predict the team or the likely style of play. Either way we're nearly through September, and irrespective what Jeff Shi thinks, we need points now.
26 Sep 2025 11:43:06
I wouldn’t build your hopes up Long. Seems the strings have been pulled as the match officials have now been chosen.
Let’s just say GON had a few things to say about the ref and VAR decisions when we lost to Fulham!
Tottenham XI (+4+VAR) v Wolves XI
26 Sep 2025 11:55:02
Not expecting anything long, just hope every game and await the surprise should it come.
We're also in the blue 3rd strip which dosnt, in my eyes anyway, present us seriously. I can only see a group of lads kicking around on a beach.
Oh well, I'll be here loyally willing the team on. COYW
26 Sep 2025 12:05:30
Long obviously the club desperately needs a result but in reality a decent performance and as you say not a thrashing would be a major step forward.
After that though results have to be achieved in fact almost certainly 3 wins.
Still too early for me to accept relegation is inevitable - as so many, including pundits and posters both on here and other sites have - but 4 more losses, especially as two of those games are against fellow relegation candidates, probably does nail the coffin down.
What a tragic and yet totally avoidable situation!
26 Sep 2025 13:17:36
Very difficult to predict our line up v Spurs, 442, 352, 343, who knows, hope VP does by now. After Tuesday surely the same defence or at least players should keep their places, personally I hope Johnstone keeps his place and no Agbadou or Toti for me, every time they are on the ball I am just expecting a mistake. Makes sense to me to not make too many changes after a win 🤞👍
26 Sep 2025 13:30:43
I'd happily take a draw but even a loss and a good performance could set us up for a run of 4 winnable games.
26 Sep 2025 01:55:14
Maybe getting a free agent is what we need. Dele Alli might be worth a punt. Wolves are reportedly interested.
26 Sep 2025 11:58:32
Wow - are things so bad that the club is reduced to this?
He hasn't been a serious player now - for reasons I don't know or understand - for several years.
Astonishingly he is still relatively young and in theory could resurrect a career.
However if he came it would have to be on a pay as you play type deal and in reality he would probably have to train for a fair while before he was anywhere near ready to play Prem football again - if he ever will be - which I doubt.
What indictment of the club, a so called established Premier league team, that fans are even discussing this sort of thing.
26 Sep 2025 12:33:01
He is the only free agent Wolves are looking at. I agree I would prefer others like Oxlade Chamberlain or even hakim Ziyech
26 Sep 2025 13:23:04
Dele Alli would struggle at Championship level now tbh.
The free agent I'd be inviting to train with a view to signing is Renan Lodi, Brazilian left back.
26 Sep 2025 21:30:57
Molineux - you had me looking if it was the chap from Zenit who would have been a great signing but it's not.
However if the club had an overseas place your Renan does indeed look a decent option cf the other named free agents!

Chelsea at the Mol in next round of cup.
25 Sep 2025 11:33:00
Rated mate do Wolves get any luck third Premier team.
25 Sep 2025 15:01:39
For the game v Spurs I would try and keep the side close to that on Tuesday, replacing Bellegarde for Joao and Hwang for R. Gomes. Then would be:-
Johnstone, Hugo, Santi, Krejci, Doc, Joao, Andre, Munetsi, Arias, R. Gomes and Larsen. I wouldn’t put Toti or Agbadou back in yet, try and limit changes to team as much as possible. Doubtful this will happen as VP like’s Agbadou and Toti, we could do with calmness and no silly mistakes.
25 Sep 2025 17:13:18
Shada mate there are some suggestions the way the cup draw has been changed is to favor the entitled 6.
25 Sep 2025 17:48:57
Yea Rated, something to do with ensuring teams in Europe don't play each other. Big deal, just diminishing the value of the cup 'competition in my books,

4-5-1 going forward from now it has to be yes we will loose and conceed but we lost and conceed goals in a back 3
Johnston
Doc
Santi bueno
Klejci
Hugo bueno
Joao
Andre
Fer Lopez
Arias
Rodrigo
Strand laursen
24 Sep 2025 18:21:53
Despite the result v Everton I'd still go with 3 at the back as I fear we will simply not be able to keep the opposition from scoring so many games will be impossible to recover. However I accept your point but believe most of the goals this year have come from individual errors rather than flaws in the system.
The question though is would your formation score more than mine?
Gk - not sure which one as although Sa has been poor Johnstone was awful for long periods last year.
RWB - has to be Jackson as Doherty's legs have gone
RCB - Yerson - done nothing wrong and options are v v poor
CCB- either Santi - not good enough but at moment playing better than others or Emmanuel if you still have faith
LCB - Krejci - (looks like a really good signing and now one of my 3 undroppables! I want to play him at CCB but the only other option for LCB is Toti, who I don't want to play!)
LWB Bueno - done enough to hold his place
CM -Andre and Gomes ( as long as fit and not suspended both have to play - by far the best players in the squad.)
IF - Arias - One has to hope he can work his way into the season sharpish!. BB made a highly intelligent point - given Wolves knew Cunha was going why didn't they buy the replacement last Jan so that he could hit the ground running this season!
CF - JSL not sure he is at the top of his game ( and Wolves will never see £60m again for him!) but probably the 4th best player behind the 2 CMs and Krejci
IF - one of Tolu/Munetsi, ( works so hard!)/ Bellegarde/Lopez or R Gomes.
The squad, as a result of yet another abysmal transfer window, is v poor with big problems at GK/WB/CB and IF - plus no quality depth anywhere!
But the team in the Everton game at least showed some composure mainly as a result of Andre's brilliance - Vitor take note!
24 Sep 2025 21:47:40
With the players available to us and to accommodate the in form ones in their strongest positions for me it would be a 4-1-4-1 formation;
Johnstone
Jackson, Agbadou, Krejci, H Bueno
Andre
Arias, Munetsi, J Gomes, Rodrigo
JSL
The toughest decision is Agba, he has been terrible so far this season but for me the other options (Bueno, Doherty) aren't premier quality.
25 Sep 2025 11:33:58
Molineux - I like the line up and if, (big if), Emmanuel was at his best that may be it!
Munetsi may not be a great player but his work rate is incredible and sadly the side is now one who won't have the ball much against Premier league first 11s and will need to scrap!
Oh for the Neves/Moutinho days when the side just controlled everything and the system beat the opposition!
How can it have gone from that to this!
Desperately need Arias to be the player we had been promised as creativity and goals look very thin.
Sadly there are just not enough good players left
25 Sep 2025 17:51:32
I know he's young etc but I reckon lopez could be the key for us if given the chance.
24 Sep 2025 14:15:25
A surprise result
Well done Lads
Now do it in the league
Not a brilliant match but
At least no goal against us
Let's see if we can do it again at spurs.
Come on the wolves.
