Another defeat and with games in hand we could be 2 defeats from the relegation zone there is no interest in bringing in additional players as Fosun though we would be safe. Fosun have not considered or budgeted for relegation and if it happens they will walk away and back into oblivion we go.

If you combine the following factors:
1. Selling key players Jota and Doherty
2. Alarming incidence of long term injury to several key players from a small squad
3. Long term injury to only proven striker at the club

All of the above will negatively affect performance. If you add an additional factor:

4. Impact of C.V. - young, single players living in lockdown and unable to access their family support system . Wolves have probably the highest percentage of very young foreign players .

Perhaps add :

5 . Nuno’s family live in Portugal and he lives in a Wolverhampton hotel ( last time I checked there are no 5 star hotels.

Things have gone wrong - I am not too surprised.

2.) 17 Jan 2021 08:56:53
First local Derby in 9 years, where we have the better squad had 2 seasons finishing 7th. Players like coady neves moutinho can't even put on a show. Nuno hasn't a clue bringing on gibbs white over vitinho really! Board need to act fast either 2 major signings 1 being a striker and a cb who leads and can win a header. Or get some fresh blood in charge deflated or not its us as fans yet again who suffer.

02 Jan 2021 19:49:44
Season turning into a bit of a disaster now losing to the mighty Brighton, won’t be too long before we are dragged into a relegation battle, we know after Jimenez injury we would require a forward what’s the betting we end up waiting last day of the transfer window to bring in some has been forward, get Costa in now to save the season.

Pertonwolf

1.) 02 Jan 2021 21:10:03
Enough of this lol. We're not getting anywhere near into a relegation battle and I'd imagine once Boly and Donk are back we will be alright . A forward we definitely need yeah and I'd hope we get one asap.

2.) 02 Jan 2021 21:24:03
Pertonwolf, I said at the end of last season we would be in a relegation battle-we are in one . Other teams have several games in hand on us, but don't have to pick up that many points to sink us right down. Poor management and administration, that began once Dalrymple left. It's a straight shoot out between Wolves and Brighton as I see it-you can forget Burnley, who have now been taken over.

3.) 02 Jan 2021 23:48:55
SQ, so what is the solution. The easy answer is buy buy buy but then what do you do with Dendoncker, Boly, Podence, Marcal, Otto and Jimenez or indeed the players bought in to replace them when they ain't getting a game? We just happen to have suffered a spate of injuries all at the same time and the younger players have had to fill in out of necessity.

4.) 03 Jan 2021 12:02:36
Also SQ you are being more than a little dramatic to say we are in a relegation battle at this stage, as well you know! The nearest team to us would have to (literally) double the points they've managed to muster ALL season so far just to be equal with us! Now I know what your going to say, but they have games in hand and they do. But clearly (thanks to Nuno:) you've forgotten what life's like down there, to 'just win your games in hand' is FAR easier said than done. I accept we are in a tough spot and could well still drop down some spaces BUT you are choosing to see it as a relegation battle when you know FULL well that simply isn't the case at this stage! 🙄.

5.) 03 Jan 2021 13:55:36
In actual fact SQ we are 11 points from the zone BUT 11 points off the title as well! By your reckoning we are as much in a relegation fight with Fulham as Liverpool are in a title challenge from us! See we can all choose see the situation in a different light if we WANT to enough 🤣.

6.) 03 Jan 2021 14:30:43
Just to point out that we didn't lose to Brighton. It might have felt that way, but I'm fairly sure it was a draw.

7.) 03 Jan 2021 16:16:51
Newcastle lost the 1st of their 2 games in hand on us.

8.) 04 Jan 2021 07:55:53
Boly is too slow. Dendocker is sagged off every time he plays.
Wolves are just a selling club now.

9.) 04 Jan 2021 13:57:50
Sagged off? That's a new one on me but it sounds interesting. Spending £35 mill on an unproven 18 year old and a right back from Barcelona doesn't smack too much of a selling club. Liverpool fans probably said similar things when they sold Sterling, Suarez and Coutinho. Where are Liverpool now?

{Ed001's Note - you are right OW, they did.}

11 Jul 2019 16:51:28
I've heard today the reason behind Laurie Dalrymple, s departure is down to the imminent arrival of Peter Kenyon.? .

Pertonwolf

1.) 11 Jul 2019 17:53:31
He's favourite for it.

2.) 11 Jul 2019 18:25:17
If true, then it's a big step even further forward. Kenyon was instrumental in growing Man Utd and Chelsea globally.

3.) 11 Jul 2019 18:29:01
Just read an article from 2017 stating that Kenyon was instrumental in the Fosun takeover.

4.) 11 Jul 2019 19:04:07
Would make sense and certainly a giant leap forward for us.

5.) 11 Jul 2019 19:52:43
If true it's buisness end of the day, bit like a player get rid and buy somone better.

6.) 11 Jul 2019 19:57:03
I heard it was more of a bust-up between Laurie and Jeff.
They may bring in someone else but he is leaving because of personal problems with Jeff.

7.) 11 Jul 2019 20:45:28
This would make sense.

8.) 11 Jul 2019 21:24:45
Do you think the bust up may have been over letting helder costa leave?

9.) 11 Jul 2019 22:41:15
Some reports say it's because he's possibly blown the budget too early without the recognition Fosun required. Some say it's because he can't continue to grow our brand as quickly as needed. We won't know unless either LD or Jeff Shi tell us.

10.) 11 Jul 2019 23:42:30
It’s 100% because of the terrible design of shirts and leak of them.

11.) 12 Jul 2019 03:05:33
Peter Kenyon was covered in controversy after his roles in Chelsea and Mufc “Peter Kenyon is British businessman who has served as the chief executive of English Premier League football clubs Manchester United and Chelsea, where he has been involved in contentious transfer dealings”

Is this the man we want at our club?

12.) 12 Jul 2019 09:41:43
Tibbys trouble is don't seem like anyone seems to want to come here. Yes we have a good squad but we have been lucky with injuries but if we do pick up some injuries as it proved with Costa we are in trouble.

13.) 12 Jul 2019 10:21:28
Could see Kenyon in some role at Wolves but not the day to day role Laurie did. Much more likely that the problem was there was only one real role and two people were trying to perform it. How many CEO's does a club need? If one of them had to go it wasn't going to be the Fosun man. Already announced that Jeff will be taking over some of Laurie's duties.

14.) 12 Jul 2019 10:22:17
As much as I regret Laurie leaving, there is no doubt that Peter Kenyon would be a massive step up if the rumour is true. He is a man with experience of dealing with the world's leading clubs. If we want to be in this elite, then we need the people.

15.) 13 Jul 2019 22:05:25
tsun dai joins wolves

06 May 2019 20:58:56
Heard this rumour from someone one who works for one of the sponsors. Wolves are currently negotiating for a substantial plot of land along the M54 corridor between junction 1 and 2, if true can only be looking at relocating the stadium, any one else heard this?

Pertonwolf

1.) 06 May 2019 21:58:31
Fosum have already stated they won't move from Molinuex.

2.) 06 May 2019 23:40:31
Fosun bought the club after considering a number of factors, namely location, current stadium size and closeness to major roads. They were considering Villa and Baggies as both are near the motorway and were reluctant to buy Wolves due to how close the ground is to the subway. However, Fosun found that planning permission would be easier to obtain at Molineux due to the surrounding area and the lack of residents compared to Villa and Baggies.

An agreement has been made to acquire some land nearby so that Molineux can be expanded. The original plan was to move but it was decided against. This is what I have heard from someone who works in the planning department of the club and was part of the consultation team when Steve Morgan drew up the previous plans.

3.) 07 May 2019 16:45:42
The gossip on this one started back at the home match with Chelsea, the consensus was that it was for a small stadium for the U23 to utilise.
But who knows.

4.) 07 May 2019 18:23:24
According to someone supposedly ‘in the know’ at least three - possibly four - of our current 19 man squad will be leaving this Summer. Costa, Cavaleiro and Ruddy for sure with question marks over Traore. An incoming unnamed Croatian is supposedly a done deal.

5.) 07 May 2019 20:47:36
Domagoj Vida?

6.) 07 May 2019 23:46:50
Well I have read that we are linked with Barnsleys goalkeeper so if Ruddy is leaving that makes sense. Although I do honestly think that Burgoyne is going to be a really good keeper.

7.) 08 May 2019 20:39:21
“Planning Department” 😂😂😳😳😳😳.

8.) 09 May 2019 07:26:02
What's so funny about planning department StuuCorbett? It's made up of staff from the club, health and safety, building contractors and the police liaison so that the construction is safe and all the legal requirements are met.

9.) 09 May 2019 17:55:52
Not surprised about Costa and Cav since we started playing two up front they haven't had much game time we are better with a third striker of Jota quality so we can switch around like Liverpool have Origi.

22 Feb 2018 13:05:18
At the end of the next 4 games will see us 3 points clear of 2nd place and 6 points clear of 3rd place, we have by far the most difficult games left this season which will take its toll. Anyone who thinks we will be promoted by Easter are deluded, we have been here before and there is nothing I've seen that tells me this season will be any different, 90 points will probably see promotion achieved however we are a long way from 90 points.

Pertonwolf

1.) 22 Feb 2018 13:49:40
Have faith Perton got a sneaky feeling we'll get something at Fulham.
Our home games,
Reading 3pts.
Burton 3pts.
Blues 3pts.
Derby 3 pts.
Sheff Wed 3pts.
Sure there is one I've missed, but the home games alone should nearly be enough.
In hindsight that point last night wasn't too bad, Norwich are no mugs.

GodBless 😀🐺🙏.

2.) 22 Feb 2018 14:18:27
We dropped points with a last minute goal all the doom and gloomers are out! Guys we are 13 points clear of 2nd, with our goal difference it's like an extra point that's five games difference with only 13 to go! We have lost 4 games all season keep the faith!

3.) 22 Feb 2018 15:12:24
13 points clear of 3rd. But yes, if we don't get promoted now then we've just been lucky so far. Which I don't believe.

4.) 22 Feb 2018 15:19:55
Well said Wolvessay, I came out the ground dispondant last night, but let's all step back and look what this great club has achieved this season, let's remember most of our players ain't used to playing 46 games plus cup games.
The club need us now more than ever, no doubt there will be further losses, but no way will Nuno let this slip now, forget 2nd we're 13 pts clear of 3rd.

GodBless 😀🐺🙏.

5.) 22 Feb 2018 16:56:04
Hi guys
must admit I was a bit doom and gloom yesterday. However in the clear light day I am half full again. Cardiff don`t worry me only 3rd (villa Derby) . Both have a fairly tough run in on paper. Cannot see either of them getting anywhere near us at the end of season.
UTW.

6.) 22 Feb 2018 22:11:57
Cardiff have still got to play Bristol City, Derby, Villa and us. Derby have to play Fulham, Cardiff, Villa and us. Fulham have Derby and us. Villa have Cardiff, Derby and us. On paper we have the hardest run in however we also have a 13 point advantage and the guarantee that points will be dropped by Derby, Cardiff and Villa who when they play each other.

At this rate, it looks like Fulham may sneak the 2nd spot as they are in good form and have the easier games. Much rather be in our position than the other teams.

7.) 23 Feb 2018 11:09:06
I know were not finishing well. but the chances are there. I think were going to hammer somebody soon. do you think it might be best to start afobe? Or put bonatini back in? let's keep the faith were going to win this league. no probs. fulham are going to be a big test. we will rise to the challenge mark my words. forever wolves.

8.) 23 Feb 2018 11:50:04
Start Leo, Benik looked shot after 15 minutes the other night and he doesn't look like he fits the system Nuno has us playing, we need goals with the chances we had against Norwich we should have been 3 or so goals up.
Coy W.

9.) 23 Feb 2018 12:42:37
To be fair to Benik, he hasn't played with our best players either side of him. Leo or Benik, it doesn't matter who starts, but one of them has to in order to bring more balance to attacks. This will enable us to bring on a strong winger with 30 minutes to play instead of weakening the team.
I am surprised Nuno can't see that 3 wingers doesn't work as effectively as when Leo was playing.

10.) 23 Feb 2018 14:21:55
Perton what ever your smoking I want some
Love it how all the better give posters cone out of the woodwork after two games with out a win
We did not lose.

11.) 23 Feb 2018 15:23:28
Pertonwolf just read through your post's and there is not one positive post from you so your either the most negative wolves fan in the world or your not a wolves fan at all I'd go for the latter. Wolves are going up as champions 100% there is nobody consistent enough to catch us we did all the hard work before Christmas now it's just a matter of seeing the job through.
Only cardiff gained on us this week and now everybody is gunning for them every team that's got themselves in 2nd place have crumble under the pressure guys there is nothing to worry about we have the best team manager owners and fans in the division Premier league here we come. UTW.

12.) 23 Feb 2018 23:47:06
Sorry Perton but have to agree with others here, whilst I understand peeps being reserved (I mean we all remember DJ's 11 point lead) but c'mon fella let's be realistic! You write 'nothing I've seen that tells me this season will be any different' well in which case I can only assume you haven't seen one of our better games this season?! Because when we smashed Villa at the Mol that was (ironically) like nothing I've EVER seen down at the Mol before! let's all just stay calm and keep a bit of perspective here! COYW ;)

13.) 23 Feb 2018 23:53:00
Camo - Benik has now played with Costa, Cav and Jota let's get real its not the players around him its just his confidence! Not Beniks fault and I'm sure he'll turn the corner once he scores but let's not keep clutching for nonsense excuses eh?! The last few games he's come on around the same time as MGW and both times he has been entirely outshone by a 17 year old! Which is great as the 17 year old is our player but let's not keep trying to find excuses for a player that is just lacking confidence simple as that! I do wonder. if it was Leon Clarke missing all these chances would folk be SO forgiving?! History tells me the answer is no, and he was one of our own! Funny old world eh! COYW ;)

14.) 23 Feb 2018 23:33:54
Pertonwolf,
Ok we’ve had 2 draws. Preston and Norwich are decent teams we can’t win them all as much as we all would like to. The performances in those games were pretty good it’s not like we’re playing badly.
Neves will be a miss in the next two games though but, I think based on that cameo from Gibbs-White against Norwich I think he’s well worth a start to see what happens.

15.) 24 Feb 2018 09:21:45
Bully's boy you seem to have missed the content of my first post. It states a winger either side of Afobe and the best option would be Cav and Jota. I also stated it doesn't matter which forward starts, but Nuno needs to change back to 2 wingers. I can't see where I put Afobe would score and be better with the 2 wingers. What I do know is we need someone who knows how to play the forward line and hold the ball up. You mention Leon Clarke who is one of the many players I have witnessed Wolves fans drain their confidence. If only the fans had a little more intelligence to understand booing and shouting abuse doesn't motivate.

09 May 2021 16:31:59
Is this some sort of joke? can’t the management see Lewis dunk has a free header every time the balls goes into the box. Basic kids football would see this, total shambles time for wholesale changes through the club if they want to stay in this division.

Pertonwolf

1.) 09 May 2021 18:19:06
Weak spine to our team.

11 Feb 2021 19:25:45
Absolute joke no excuses
Ruddy
MGW
Vhitina
Silva
No where near good enough for this level
Whoever sanctioned the transfer of Silva should be dismissed instantly, young but for 35m he should show something no pace no strength no awareness of surroundings nothing.

Pertonwolf

1.) 11 Feb 2021 19:37:05
Totally agree dreadful never attended to win that, Fabio, vitinha, ruddy, definitely not good enough, and the rest wernt much better.

2.) 11 Feb 2021 19:40:19
Forgot MGW, his time is surely up offers nothing.

3.) 11 Feb 2021 19:57:28
Silva has been trotted out again and again, over cutrone now over jose. we can all see he's no where near 35mil and never will be again. We've been sold a dud big time. is he on appearance fees or something? Because we all to be able to see it yet nuno can't? Nuno looked a tired shell of a man again tonight with no appetite for the game. I think he's had enough of C.V. limitations and perhaps the game at the moment. But nothing excuses that shambles tonight. It was obvious it was a hang on and hope we could sneak it at the end preparation and that's no way to play a team with Southampton recent record. They should have been there for the taking. Woeful.

4.) 11 Feb 2021 21:02:21
Big question is what to do with Silva, at the moment he wouldn't make it in the championship, he's so weak and inept, wasted too much money on him
A real bad piece of business
God knows what fosuns top brass are thinking right now
You couldn't give him away on this form.

11 Feb 2021 18:24:02
Why have we put out a team tonight wit 0 attacking threat when we have nothing to play for this season in the league and the FA cup is our last chance of some sort of success, the best we can hope for tonight is a 0-0 and scrape through on pens.
Don't get it.

Pertonwolf

1.) 11 Feb 2021 18:26:39
Exactly!

2.) 11 Feb 2021 18:29:40
What it says is Nuno knows we are in a relegation fight. The first half so far is a performance that is puerile beyond belief. Does he really think that we can just turn up on Sunday and win. Southampton seem to want it and we don't-unforgivable.

3.) 11 Feb 2021 19:26:56
Completely agree Perton, have to be honest I'm actually pretty angry at Nuno for it! What a complete lack of ambition! Win this and ya two games off a final, I'm sorry I love Nuno but lost some respect for him tonight. We've been turgid all season did he not think a cup run could have actually given the fans something to enjoy?! I'm sat here fuming to be honest, we are at home in the cup agaisnt one of the only teams struggling for form as much as we are and we haven't had a shot on target till the 79th min! And SQ if you think Nunos done this cause of a relagation battle then surely not?! It would be terrible judgement call on his part! Cause losing another game at home and this shocking performance ain't going to help us win points at the wkend! Pathetic 😡.

4.) 11 Feb 2021 19:55:43
BullysBoy.
I feel you're frustration and anger mate, but SQ is right. Of course the team selection tonight was heavily influenced by the game coming on sunday. Nuno clearly felt we could not go full strength for both games and obviously has prioritised sundays match. Why? Well as SQ says, on this form we are not yet clear of a relegation battle and premier league survival is paramount. It doesn't guarantee that we win on Sunday but it gives us our best chance.
That said, we have now given up that little bit of momentum that was building.
Our style of play leaves a lot to be desired and for that, yes, Nuno is responsible. But is he really responsible for spending vast sums of money on players that simply are not even close to being good enough. I don't think so.

06 Jul 2018 08:24:29
Just seen replica shirt launch and mega store re-opening has been delayed, doesn't seem to matter how much money is washing around the club at present it is still the same old ameturish mess it always has been.

Pertonwolf

1.) 06 Jul 2018 08:44:14
Totally agree perton, booked day off to get mine and they tell you at 10pm the night before that you cannot get it, ridiculous.

2.) 06 Jul 2018 10:15:03
Wow, and still we have Negative fans floating around.

3.) 06 Jul 2018 10:47:43
Take a good look around the West Midland football world and you’ll find that waiting an extra day or two for a new shirt is really not that bad. is it?

4.) 06 Jul 2018 11:45:24
Its only late because we broke the sleeve sponsor so late what's a few days if it helps with FFP get a grip guys. UTW.

5.) 06 Jul 2018 11:53:32
For crying out loud delays happen it's part of life and it happens to all businesses give it a rest and stop picking faults or go support Walsall.

6.) 06 Jul 2018 12:04:54
Would be surprised if the shirt would fit over ya big moaning head anyway pardon, not really a day wasted if don't have anything else to do with your holiday, could use it for a cheese festival or tractor spoting I guess, my bad.

7.) 06 Jul 2018 16:26:35
Badly run club, what a pair of plums.

8.) 06 Jul 2018 20:48:15
Tito Jackson got his shirt what a club.

10 Mar 2018 17:43:07
8 mins in and Bath already sticking out as our weak link which Villa have already exposed. I refer back to my post from 22/ 2 ref wolves 3 points clear of 2nd and 6 points clear of 3rd. Hope I'm wrong.

2.) 10 Mar 2018 18:51:56

3.) 10 Mar 2018 18:52:39
3-1 bath again Nuff said.

4.) 10 Mar 2018 19:46:48
Ah well surely we can't be that bad again. We were all over the place, poor marking poor passing. Baht a liability. Over hit balls. Bonatini didn't seem to be at the game sometimes. Snodgrass could be a good player if he simply played football spent more time with his elbows in air or on ground holding his ankle. We got it wrong got whacked. so get out against reading and burton and ram 6 more points on the card.

5.) 10 Mar 2018 20:59:48
Give you that on perton baath was poor can't see him playing again.

You will know within the next week or so if Morgan intends to remain as owner by any transfer activity, I would suggest this is just a rumor and in fact the real reason for not selling is that no one is interested in the club, let's face it a mediocre championship side with a half built stadium with dwindling attendances stuck in one of the most depressing areas of the country is hardly a major selling point is it. As for blaming Moxey he is only Morgan's mouth piece, he may have been able to rule the roost with sir Jack but not A hard nosed business man like Morgan.

Sorry can't see Cardiff losing 4 games with their run in although I can see us losing 4, factor that in and see how the points show, I hope not but dissapointment in in this clubs DNA so just trying to condition myself ready for the worst and then anything else is a bonus.
