Now narrow that down to players who are good enough.

H. Bueno - Toti - Djiga - Trippier

Bench; Wolfe, Krejci, S. Bueno, Lima, Tchatchoua, Doyle, R. Gomes, Armstrong, Chiwera, Edozie, Mosquera (injured), Said (injured),

That team is absolutely stacked.

Depth and quality are two different things, we have plenty of one and not nearly enough of the other. I'm sure you can work out which way round I mean. πŸ‘

Ordinary, do you not want a goalie on the bench, and surely you would pick Krejci over Toti?

I reckon the forthcoming game against Sandwell Town is the most important derby for years. Win it and it will kickstart our season. Lose it and I dread to think......

You would think we'd learn... Same old, same old every ssn... Promise of deals done early... doesn't happen... Promise of supporting the manager, giving him what he needs... doesn't happen. Have cash in the bank... can bring players in but don't...

can't move the deadwood on coz nobody wants em... Signs of a failing club... maybe another relegation... God forbid... will see Fosun out... but a swift return with this squad... Doomed, I tell ye, doomed.

Every manager should be told that a game against the Blaggies is a must win. Home and away. Those are the biggest games in the Championship for us. Do that, and the fans will be behind you for every other game.

We are all frustrated with not enough ins.. or outs!
And sadly zero comms from Nathan and the club.
Let's hope amongst all these rumours etwe we can actually land James.. and Crozier.
Which might / should give encouragemet not just to us life long Wolves supporters (78 and still going on my seadon ticket here).

And please please let it help and the mgt do everything to keep Sa and Kretch!!!.. they cost us nothing but wages currently!!!

A couple of decent signings may persuade some of the better assets, like Sa and Kretch, who are looking to move on, to stay another season.

Rollowolf, you speak for many Wolves fans in your post - excellent, keep them coming.

As an aside, Villa, with the proposed transfer of Konsa, will be looking for a replacement. Look no further than the Molineux, my friends. We have internationals playing for umpteen countries.

Krejci is not available, but we have a very good Portuguese international, once interesting, no other than Benfica. He's another Gomes, same name as you 'stole' off us earlier in the window! Mr Jackson will be eagerly waiting your call. UTW.

Does Jordan James count as homegrown?

2

19 Aug 2026 15:15:03
Yes, he does llkey, although he is a Welsh international.

19 Aug 2026 16:45:00
I always feel like Welsh, Scottish and Irish players should be considered home grown.

19 Aug 2026 17:14:10
Players from any nationality can be considered homegrown if they registered for any team affiliated in the English leagues for three years between 17-21 (please see Hugo Bueno). So Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham, etc., would still count. Scottish leagues would not. πŸ‘

Now James is nearly signed a RW Striker, and a RCH now Yerson is out. Plus any others to replace the ones Wolves want out only if Wolves need them.

1

19 Aug 2026 14:46:40
Nothing is confirmed about Yerson. The secrecy is all a bit strange.

2

19 Aug 2026 15:55:43
I suspect, because making a player with a serious injury continue playing in the first match of the season was a shockingly poor decision by the club's medical team, and they know what the fans will say! I hope it's not serious, but if it is, then we are absolute fools. 🀬

How about Nwaneri - Arsenal looking to loan him out? Raul as his mentor - get him in!!!

5

19 Aug 2026 15:08:24
Why would he join Wolves, with AC Milan and Gala interested?

0

19 Aug 2026 17:18:32
Because Arsenal have stated that they want to keep him in England on loan.

Good player has great pace.

Express and Star reporting Loan-to-Buy deal agreed for Jordan James.

Finally. Great signing.

Yet another signing for West Ham, linked, signed, deal done, on the other hand we get linked, wait for someone else to come in, bosha and they are gone, wakey wakey Wolves, I can seriously seeing us do a Leicester City, when will the owners learn.......

19 Aug 2026 11:57:27
We have contracts on the table for players. If they want to hold out to see what else they can get, then it’s not on Wolves. Just signed James. Sure, a few others will follow. It’s not as easy as Champ Manager. Frustrating, yes, I know.
