Wolves banter 6
Use our rumours form to send us wolves transfer rumours.
19 Aug 2026 13:38:33
We are all frustrated with not enough ins.. or outs!
And sadly zero comms from Nathan and the club.
Let's hope amongst all these rumours etwe we can actually land James.. and Crozier.
Which might / should give encouragemet not just to us life long Wolves supporters (78 and still going on my seadon ticket here).
And please please let it help and the mgt do everything to keep Sa and Kretch!!!.. they cost us nothing but wages currently!!!
19 Aug 2026 14:40:42
A couple of decent signings may persuade some of the better assets, like Sa and Kretch, who are looking to move on, to stay another season.
19 Aug 2026 14:46:07
Rollowolf, you speak for many Wolves fans in your post - excellent, keep them coming.
As an aside, Villa, with the proposed transfer of Konsa, will be looking for a replacement. Look no further than the Molineux, my friends. We have internationals playing for umpteen countries.
Krejci is not available, but we have a very good Portuguese international, once interesting, no other than Benfica. He's another Gomes, same name as you 'stole' off us earlier in the window! Mr Jackson will be eagerly waiting your call. UTW.

Does Jordan James count as homegrown?
19 Aug 2026 15:15:03
Yes, he does llkey, although he is a Welsh international.
19 Aug 2026 16:45:00
I always feel like Welsh, Scottish and Irish players should be considered home grown.
19 Aug 2026 17:14:10
Players from any nationality can be considered homegrown if they registered for any team affiliated in the English leagues for three years between 17-21 (please see Hugo Bueno). So Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham, etc., would still count. Scottish leagues would not. 👍
19 Aug 2026 13:21:55
Now James is nearly signed a RW Striker, and a RCH now Yerson is out. Plus any others to replace the ones Wolves want out only if Wolves need them.
19 Aug 2026 14:46:40
Nothing is confirmed about Yerson. The secrecy is all a bit strange.
19 Aug 2026 15:55:43
I suspect, because making a player with a serious injury continue playing in the first match of the season was a shockingly poor decision by the club's medical team, and they know what the fans will say! I hope it's not serious, but if it is, then we are absolute fools. 🤬
19 Aug 2026 12:29:27
How about Nwaneri - Arsenal looking to loan him out? Raul as his mentor - get him in!!!
19 Aug 2026 15:08:24
Why would he join Wolves, with AC Milan and Gala interested?
19 Aug 2026 17:18:32
Because Arsenal have stated that they want to keep him in England on loan.
19 Aug 2026 17:42:40
Good player has great pace.
19 Aug 2026 12:02:11
Express and Star reporting Loan-to-Buy deal agreed for Jordan James.
19 Aug 2026 11:47:44
Finally. Great signing.
19 Aug 2026 10:20:07
Yet another signing for West Ham, linked, signed, deal done, on the other hand we get linked, wait for someone else to come in, bosha and they are gone, wakey wakey Wolves, I can seriously seeing us do a Leicester City, when will the owners learn.......
19 Aug 2026 11:57:27
We have contracts on the table for players. If they want to hold out to see what else they can get, then it’s not on Wolves. Just signed James. Sure, a few others will follow. It’s not as easy as Champ Manager. Frustrating, yes, I know.
19 Aug 2026 09:44:04
Instead of all the moaning and groaning, and with no new transfers in the pipeline, how many of you have actually got the balls to boycott the Portsmouth game, show Fosun once and for all that Wolves is the supporters club, we've put up with their sh!t for long enough now, the transfer window will have closed by then, that's when the excuses will come out "we tried for him, him and him, we all know it's b@ll@cks but the problem is we are all too loyal, there has to be a cut off point somewhere, what are your thoughts .......
19 Aug 2026 11:29:41
Do it, they won't jump if they're not pushed.
19 Aug 2026 13:07:55
Problem is, AWW, with all season tickets sold out this season, financially it means nothing to them. Yes advertisers will be a bit miffed, but it would take 2 to 3 months of major boycott to get the exposure and impact.
19 Aug 2026 05:12:02
It’s looking like the same old story - hopeless window leads to poor results leads to sack the manager, rinse and repeat. Fosun are the worst kind of owner - no empathy for the club, won’t invest and worst of all won’t sell or communicate honestly with the fans.
Whatever happened to the assertion last year that they had deals lined up and would act early in the window so the team was in place for pre-season? We are being treated like fools. I shall be relieved if we finish mid-table.
19 Aug 2026 09:28:47
I know I bang on about it, but in my 68 years, I don't think I have seen our club become such an utter shambles, disappointment, and a laughing stock. Fosun should put up or move on immediately. To a certain extent, Nathan must be held accountable, but his bosses are a disgrace. They show no interest in the football club whatsoever, otherwise we wouldn't be in this position. There is no infrastructure, a ground which is getting worse by the day, and nothing for the diehard fans to cling to.
We have a team which is poor, with the obvious exceptions, and no plan to improve, now or in the future. We have 2 weeks to make a start in sorting this all out. If that doesn't happen, we will lose yet another good manager due to false promises and mismanagement. I personally think CP will do a good job if the board back him, and buy the players we desperately need and deserve, to give us a decent chance of returning to the promised land. We're Wolves, aye we.
19 Aug 2026 10:12:59
I think you forgot the terrible Bhatti days when we went all the way down to the old 4th Division. Yes, things are embarrassing now, and Fosun are well capable of screwing things up even further. I fear they will, but I pray they will sell the club and Foxtrot off.
19 Aug 2026 10:49:09
Didn't forget, but this feels worse. We have owners who could help, have the capability to make things great, but couldn't care less.
19 Aug 2026 11:54:41
That's what makes it worse, Willow, if a $60Bn turnover company can't afford it, who can? But still, Wolves fans who want to support the club fill the ground and the away allocation every game, so where's the motivation for Fosun to change going to come from?
Only the embarrassment of fan action, as it started to before, but too many prefer to accept our situation and rely on the word 'hope'.
Feed us the BS at the start of every season, get the season ticket and membership fees in, then nothing, forcing the incumbent coach to back what he's got, and then get sacked by Xmas, and still people fall for it.
19 Aug 2026 11:54:52
Fair comment, Willow.
19 Aug 2026 15:36:09
Maybe they are just sick of the whining fans.
18 Aug 2026 20:34:54
On a completely unrelated note, if you were to choose a manager to guide Wolves back up and lead them to a good PL finish, who would you choose?
Realistic names please
18 Aug 2026 20:45:10
Nuno, it's never happening (he ain't working with these clowns again) but it always would be Nuno for me. 😭
18 Aug 2026 22:11:08
Eddie Howe when Cesar loses his job at Xmas because Fosun haven't invested in the team and we still stuck with Hwang He Chan.
18 Aug 2026 23:57:33
Rob Edwards.
19 Aug 2026 06:35:44
It really doesn't matter who we'd like as Manager; it's who we can get. If CP doesn't work out & not because he's a bad manager, but because of a lack of support from our owners, then this position at Wolves truly becomes a poison chalice.
The only people we're likely to attract are 'has beens'. I can't honestly see us attracting young, ambitious managers any longer, as Fosun will destroy their career before it's started.
