Since Nuno left Fosun haven't signed a single player who's become or wanted to become a 'Wolves player', one or two seasons at the club and move on has become the norm. It's not what Wolves are, not what we were brought up on, not what we expect and not what we want, players never wanted to leave Wolves, in fact quite a few stayed and were rewarded with a testimonial match, don't think we'll ever see one of those again, Fosun have turned our club into nothing more than a marketplace, a trading point, it's totally unacceptable and no matter how they set ticket prices there's nothing to support.
Fosun's position is on a level with Kier Starmer's, virtually untenable, they have nothing to offer, great shame is we can't vote them out.
09 May 2026 14:38:00
Funny you say that Ron, I was thinking Rob is starting to appear similar to Starmer, sounding like him more and more as well, not my fault at all, etc.
09 May 2026 14:45:25
Totally agree, Ron, came in promising everything and what have we ended up with?
No identity, no attraction, and very, very little hope, which is the only thing that keeps us supporting.
But, like Starmer, Fosun are taking what they want at the expense of those who care.
09 May 2026 16:49:21
The only thing that would get to Fosun would be a sharp fall in season ticket purchases and a reluctance to attend the first few games next season.
09 May 2026 14:05:29
Hwang starts up front.
Says it all really.
09 May 2026 14:37:26
Shows everyone the state of the squad. Hwang should've been pushed out to sea years ago. Eight seasons in the PL and Wolves have a choice between Tolu and Hwang as the front man. Horrific.
09 May 2026 11:14:17
Personally I would say if wolves lose
Next match edwards is gone.
We will all need mental treatment if he stays.
Not looking forward to the start of next season if he's still in charge.
09 May 2026 11:59:26
Rob Edwards isn't going anywhere. Fosun won't sack him. I'm not a huge fan of Edwards, and I don't feel he'll ever be good enough to manage in the PL, but he inherited an appalling squad of players.
There's no balance to the team - it's bloated in some areas and nonexistent in other areas, and most of the players who are at the club aren't worth a wet weekend in Blackpool.
09 May 2026 12:13:35
So, what do we expect or want from today's game? Are we even interested?
Personally, I always want a win, but do I read that you'd like us to lose so RE would be sacked, Moby? coz as Noisy said, I don't think he's going anywhere if we were trounced 7-0 for the next 3 games.
I can't see us getting anything today, and the result won't affect us, but I'd like to finish above Burnley.
That's the aim for me. RE's style of play doesn't bother me, but an awful, boring style of play will.
We've only got to hope now. Hope Shi II can say something to reassure, and what happens with RE happens.
09 May 2026 12:46:58
Brighton will win today and win easily.
Rob Edwards is not good enough to take this club forward, but the bigger issue is that Fosun have run the club so far into the ground that no manager with a shred of decency will want to be a part of this mess.
I get that the players aren't good enough and I accepted relegation a long time ago. But the style of play is 100% down to Rob, and the fact that we always play slow, backwards football, allowing the opposition to get back into their defensive position, is down to the manager.
Nothing will change over the summer. Fosun will use the excuse that players didn't see us as an attractive destination, therefore the players the club wanted wouldn't come.
09 May 2026 13:18:53
Agree with you, Good. Just hope Nathan Shi is waiting till the end of the season on his decision to sack him. If not, I hope I did not waste my money by renewing to watch that dross again.
09 May 2026 13:36:38
I think the only way forward for Wolves is to try and stabilise under Rob Edwards. Restore some sort of normality to the club and the way they operate in the transfer market. The club is a bloody mess and no decent manager would touch the club with a bargepole. The club would only attract VP types with one eye on a tasty severance package.
09 May 2026 14:09:34
Well, don't know what REs expecting today, Bently in goal, Kriecji on bench and Hwang starting up front. I assume there's injuries, but Tolu on bench too. Toti Santi and Mosq at the back doesn't give me a lot of joy.
But who knows? Hwang might strike it lucky.
Oh well COYW.
09 May 2026 14:38:19
Would like to finish above Burnley.
Maybe in our last game we will achieve it.
But if wanting RE to get pushed,
Might as well lose the rest of games.
If that's what it takes.
09 May 2026 15:19:53
One goal in the first minute and another in the fifth. How is anyone still defending Edwards? Letting a goal in the opening minute has nothing to do with the quality of players, and everything to do with the back room. If Fosun don't act soon, I really do fear that we could end up in League One again. ðŸ˜
09 May 2026 09:04:20
Looks like Joao is off to Madrid for £39M. Best of luck to him. Not enough money in my opinion, probably £10M short. See, we still just accept low offers as normal.
Think it was on Sky Sports where Rob is saying the current situation is not his fault. People saying he is distancing himself from the terrible season.
Problem is, Rob, you have been here for a lot of it and the players have gone backwards and style of play is abysmal.
Also reported that Shi 2 is about to announce that they are giving Rob there full backing into next season.
Not getting any better any time soon, unfortunately.
09 May 2026 11:33:39
I think £39 million, if the amount is correct, is about right. Joao Gomes is a great player, but he's not a £50 million midfielder. No way. As a Wolves fan, I would be more concerned if the club only got £25 million for Andre.
The money Wolves got for Ruben Neves was different gravy, but that sale came at a time when Arab clubs were paying silly money for players.
08 May 2026 17:44:00
You couldn't make this up. Former Wolves player (2017-18) Ben Marshall has been convicted of smashing up an antiques shop after a heavy night's drinking. The shop is called Drunk & Disorderly. He's blamed his behaviour because he's broke after bad investments.
08 May 2026 19:48:50
Not the first time a privileged former player has turned to crime. Former Wolves players Michael McIndoe and Shaun Newton spring to mind.
08 May 2026 21:59:14
If I remember correctly, big things were expected of Ben Marshall, and he was bloody awful.
08 May 2026 22:35:23
Brian Law stole the bus. Best thing ever. 🤣
09 May 2026 10:07:31
Buxwolf, Rob Edwards parked the bus. Usually every match.
08 May 2026 15:28:26
Rob apparently saying that the situation at the moment is not his fault.
Didn’t he take over in November with 70+ points still to play for. Realise this has been brewing for a few years now, however Rob has to take some of the blame, in my opinion, at least for poor performances and results, he also was aware of what he was walking in to.
Some blame had to be land on Rob, not all but definitely some.
08 May 2026 18:09:49
As you say, Banksy, he didn't have much say in the squad he inherited, but there was a lot of points still to play for. Apart from a couple of notable victories, he failed to capitalise on that.
Team selection, substitutions and tactics were often criticised, with the poor performances considerably outweighing the good.
For these reasons, he can't distance himself from responsibility completely.
I always thought he was another Jeff Shi budget hire, but even I didn't expect us to be rooted to the bottom for the entire season.
08 May 2026 18:11:15
I'd say 'most', Banksy. We raised it against the bigger teams, and then have been absolutely dire to watch most of the time.
I'm not convinced by RE. His post-match interviews were lacking in emotion, and if that's his approach in the dressing room, it'd explain a lot.
He's a nice guy, no question. A Premier boss? Well, no, that's been proven.
Can he form a serious threat in the Championship? Well, I don't think so, unless he finds a proven leader on the pitch to command those around him.
08 May 2026 13:42:44
I see we are being linked with Che Adams again. I am not a fan, he just doesn't score enough goals full stop.
Now to help us get out of the Championship, what about Ollie McBurnie at Hull? He scored 14 goals this season.
He is a bruiser, holds the ball up well and a good foil for Armstrong and Mane if he stays. Would cost £7/8 million.
08 May 2026 14:31:00
I get what you're saying, but Hull would want stupid money for McBurnie, and Wolves could easily get nothing out of him - he's that type. I've always liked Che Adams. Powerful striker who is more mobile across the forward lines. He's not prolific, but if he was, Wolves wouldn't get a sniff, and he would cost too much anyway.
Wolves need a full rebuild, which means lots of players. I think the club will get a few 'champagne' signings, but they also need squad depth.
Hopefully Wolves will go back square one with buying players. How they did things before they gave too much power to the two pillocks: Pereira and Teti.
08 May 2026 15:40:07
RE stated it's not his fault we are relegated.
WTF, who's fault is it then? It's got to be.
Mostly his fault, surely.
08 May 2026 16:16:19
It is not Rob Edwards's fault. Fosun, Jeff Shi, Vitor Pereira and Domenico Teti are to blame. That second hand car dealer, VP, is a disgrace. Muppets like that need to be driven out of the game. He's had more clubs than I've had hot dinners. He turns up, f***s everything up, then buggers off with £2 million in his back burner.
I don't think Rob Edwards is a Premier League coach, but he has to be given a chance with a better team.
I've been wrong about things I've said. The reality is the Wolves team is s*** in the extreme. It's a team filled with garbage, chancers and cowards. At least Wolves look like they're acting quickly to get players out of the club. Sooner the better.
08 May 2026 18:15:02
Not sure about McBurnie. Feel like he's only improved recently to try to get in the Scotland squad.
But, talking of Hull, they seemed to do quite well this season after signing a load of players on the cheap or free.
Something to be said for signing experienced players in the champ. Hopefully we can take note and sign a few tried and tested players nearing the end of their careers, as well as a few up and coming imports as we have previously.
08 May 2026 22:39:38
14 goals... You need defenders who score 14 goals in the Championship, let alone a fwd. We don't know how to score, and we need to score at least 80 goals next ssn. So, who exactly is going to score them? With no goalscoring players coming in, we go down again. s.a.t. 🫣
08 May 2026 13:35:45
It's being reported that Real Madrid stars are having slanging matches with each other and even punch ups! Rudiger vs Carreras and staff members.
So if the elite can do it, what's the issue with other mortals doing it like Tolu and Mane? lol
08 May 2026 09:41:10
Looks like the 'new manager bounce' ran out for Forest last night. VP put the (injured?) MGW on the bench, but surprisingly never played him. If he was fit to be on the bench, he was fit enough to play to try and rescue the match.
VP can start a job well enough, but soon runs out of steam and tactics. I'll be surprised if he's still there this time next year.
08 May 2026 11:40:35
Well, they were bl**dy awful last night, Deep, even tho the vile did put one show.
Seeing MGW's face, I should think he was glad to sit it out, but, yea, VP's selection and subs reminded me of his time with us, weird to say the least as he started 1 up in a Euro semi.
08 May 2026 13:02:40
I was rooting for Forest, Abbey, but they were just dreadful in the biggest match of their season. VP's tactics were deja vu to me. VP has had as many clubs as Fosun have had head coaches. First the points, then the slump.
08 May 2026 14:24:38
Wasn't bothered which one won, but have to admit that Villa were really good. So good luck in the final, bring it back to the Midlands.
