If Trippier wants to tear up his contract, let him. We only want players who want to be here. Perhaps Cody would be better bet?

Unfortunately, Lostcity, Cody is nowhere near good enough these days.

Kierran Trippier
Interesting this one.
I think you will find that legally he can't opt out.
Trouble with new manager is he going to buy all foreign players & Trippier sits on the bench.
My daughter-in-law
Says it's contract signed so he has to play. Sour grapes I think.

I doubt this rumour is true, and it is more agent noise from Re to sow discord at his former employer. I would think that Trip knew that there was a potential change in manager happening, and he has been around long enough to see managers go.

He knows how the game is played. For him, the biggest thing is that he is on a great wage, has a great 2-3 years on a contract at his age, and is close to his kids.

Maybe he's upset because he doesn't speak Portuguese. 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Will Rui Pedro Silva be staying? He was extremely influential under Nuno.

Agreed Fat, I had the exact same thought. He's a well rated coach so I hope so as well. 👍

The rumour yesterday was that Watling and Trollope had been sacked alongside Edwards, and Rui Silva had opted to leave of his own volition.

Many thanks for that. I was hoping that the Portuguese connection may have helped to keep him. I wouldn't be surprised if he looks for his own managerial position. He is certainly a good tactician.

Well, it obviously worked under Rob Edwards!

Sadly, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it.

Perhaps it was only Nuno who chose to drink?

Really sad news about Kenny Jackett. He did a brilliant job at Wolves, made some brave decisions binning some so called superstars and built a great team to get us back to the Championship. He was also a model professional as a player, tough no nonsense centre back at Watford. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

Very sad news indeed. A true football gentleman, always gave everything to clubs he played for and managed. Had a lot of respect for him.
RIP Kenny Jackett.

R.I.P Kenny. I enjoyed watching what you did for us. Thoughts to all your family & friends.

RIP Kenny. You left every club in a better place than you found it. You certainly sorted Wolves out with that bomb squad of overpaid and underperforming 'stars'.

Upsetting news. Kenny Jackett has passed away. God bless.

I still remember the dark depths of despair in 2013, when Wolves were relegated to the 1st Division, but then came Kenny Jackett, who took on a very difficult job, got us back to the Championship in his first season with some brilliant attacking football, and then consolidated our place there.

He should have stayed another season; another Fosun error. I am so sad to learn of your passing. I am so pleased to have met you. Kenny Jackett. R.I.P.

Agreed, 47vintage. Replacing him with Zenga made no sense when looking at Zenga's record up to that point. RIP Kenny.

Agreed Rated, mate, I still remember how he saved us from League One obscurity at an absolute canter. More than that, he was an entirely decent guy as well. Very sad news indeed. 😭

Really sad. A huge part in rebuilding after the drop to League One and unlucky to be fired when Fosun took over. A true gent and an important part of Wolves history.

Rip Kenny. Never forget being at Rotherham game 6-4. What a game, should have been allowed more time at club.

First time poster!

I don’t know if I speak for all, but after the last week, it’s the first time in a while that there has been a buzz about being a Wolves fan for a long time. The signings of Trippier (who could still do a job for most prem teams) and Jimenez have put some much needed optimism around the club. Lots of other fans from other clubs must of thought Wow.

However, after yesterday, I don’t feel like the club still understand how to run a club.

Not RE’s biggest fan, but many will agree not the way to go about business. We continue to use Gestifute and Mendes, and I just don’t think that this ends well.

I know managers come and go, and players do to, but if good people/players like Trippier/Andre etc think no I don’t want to be apart of this, what sort of players will we attract, not players that want to play for the cause of the shirt.

Welcome, ontheside. It's certainly all going up and down, the roller coaster that has become Wolverhampton Wanderers, and we're not even in pre-season.
Taking a step back now, tho, and ignoring a lot of the conflicting reports, also taking the RE aspect out of things, let's be positive.

We've a new manager coming in, hopefully soon, before the transfer window opens.

We'll have, again imagining, identified players he'll want, maybe unknowns, but they'll be his choice.

We've already secured Raul and Trip (as it stands), and that bodes well.

We may well be singing the new gaffer's name when we've learnt how to pronounce it, who really knows?
But let's get aboard the new ride, hopefully upwards again, and look forward to celebrating 150yrs.

I have just heard on the radio that Kenny Jackett has passed away. Very sad news. The calm hand we needed in a crisis at the time and seemed like a thoroughly good bloke.

RIP Kenny.
