Well, down to the Championship. I think we all knew by December or some of us earlier that this was inevitable. I think we all know that the Championship is a hard and tough league to get out of. If we do win promotion back to the Premier League I worry about turning into a yo yo club.

Next season worries me as we all know most of the squad will leave and will Fosun actually sign some players to replace the ones who left or are they gonna leave us in a terrible state ready to fall down the divisions. Anyway onwards and upwards COYW.

Let's hope the positive message tonight from Shi 2 is not just "warm words".
His namesake has done so much damage. I still struggle to understand how he was allowed to hurt the Club so much.

Yes, two points from pretty much the first half of the season was an inevitable outcome. It's what happens from now that is more of a topic for debate in reality.

If at all possible it would be good to see a team of predominantly British players who can communicate with one another. This could be a boost to home nations national teams if proved to be successful.

Not saying this to be racist as I don't care what colour or ethnic background they are from. But back in the 70s it was deemed exotic to have an Irish player in the team but my God were they happy days.

I know it was a lost cause when Edward's took over but is Wolves the second club he has been with that were relegated. Luton being the other.

Nuno got us up and tonight it's gone full circle and we are down.

Glad that the fat lady has finally sung and we are one step closer to the end of the season. What an absolutely soul sucking season.

Now that our fate has been sealed, Rob needs to ensure that the players who are not part of his plans for next season do not play again this season and minutes should be given to the youngsters who are expected to stay.

Well, it's finally happened. Now let's see what the board do now: will they stick with RE or start afresh? Hopefully it's the second, as I can't see the present management setup getting us back straight away.

Edward looks like a beaten man already.

Many people are posting possible signings. The first one should be a strong club captain. We have lacked leadership on and off the pitch since Conor Coady left us. If you ask me, this is when the real rot started to become noticeable. I would actually love to see Coady back, maybe as a coaching role with a succession plan to develop him further.

Kieran Trippier will be available on a free.

If Southampton don't go up, then Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

Jamal Lascalles too. 3 players who will make our defence better and provide natural leadership.

I'd take Wilfred Zaha on a free.

I see you're in the John Mousinho camp, like me. I think he could do a very good job for us.

Very good and valid assessment. Noisy, I agree all the way, apart from the Hugo/Wolfe position. Yes, Wolfe is more defensive looking, but I think Hugo offers more all round.
I confess I've watched him through the youth teams, so maybe biased myself, but he always gives what he can, and I'm not sure Wolfe has the same commitment in games.

The Portsmouth gaffer (can't spell) certainly seems to know what he wants, and has indeed got a relegation threatened team to safety. How that would move towards a promotion seeking season I wouldn't know, but certainly a safer bet than RE I'd imagine.

Lima, Rodrigo not getting game time now is a bit odd, I think too. When they first arrived in our friendlies in the US they looked the biz. Lopez was hot and cold in his appearances, but never had a run to get really acclimatised. I hope they don't turn the same way as Trincao and Vitna have and slip away from us.

Edwards had a good record with the youngsters, and I've questioned his man management. Maybe he can relate better with them than the older, experienced players?

I'm really not holding my breath regards success next season under RE. Them tactics are confusing and baffling to watch, let alone play, and you have to be a tough unit every game in the Championship, and we just don't have it. We need a leader on the pitch, someone who leads by example, and that's something we've not had all season.

Depressing times. Maybe the freedom of actual relegation might lift us for the final games and give us an entertaining finish? Beat Spurs and finishing above Burnley would be something, but what a dour time us fans have had.

Old Gold Wolves no matter what though COYW.
