If the players play every match like they did tonight dare i say it the great escape could happen only Liverpool are really a very tough match in our final run but they're wobbly at the moment.
We could potentially win all 9 matches, a very wise man said "dreaming is for free"
No i haven't been at the sherry lol.

We just need all our opponents to run out wearing claret & blue, our only two wins this year.
28 Feb 2026 15:11:40
I thought that too, HalfTimePie. I guess we like playing against those colours, and in torrential rain it would seem. On another note I got my wish last night, and we had all 4 Gomes on the pitch at one time.
Fairly sure it's a Premier League record. I looked up what the actual record is, and apparently there was a foreign team with all 11 players having the same name. Dubious, but that's what tinternet said.

Great work, Rollo! I'm only 65, but I missed the last train home, so had to camp out with Mrs PW! There's one due, should be home for 7am! See ya, Villa. You've been Gomesed! Wolves, ay we! Can't wait for Deepdale next season! Fwaw!!!

Well, if we can show that amount of effort again against Liverpool (twice!), and we get the pitch similarly soaked, it could be an interesting week, Rollo, Was it because it was the vile last night? Or have we finally found some grit and pride? Everyone seemed committed in the end, and finally knew where to put the ball.
The first half was a bit hit or miss. I did feel for you lads at the Mol, in the rain, whilst sitting in front of the TV, but I'd much rather have been there with you. Take care, Rollo, and let's hope it's another 3 points Tuesday.

Thanks, Abbey. Always love your posts. You're realistic, fair, friendly, and Wolves thru and thru. Thin squad, and a demanding week with the 3 squashed games. A bit worried we'll be knackered, but hopefully, with that lift to the spirits from last night, we can get something from Liverpool - a cup quarter-final would be fantastic, wouldn't it. 😁
28 Feb 2026 09:03:41
Thanks, Rollo. Yea, to be honest, I'd rather progress in the cup now than have the 3pnts Tues. Dunno what Re will be thinking, but we've got to rest a few somewhere, I'd think. Maybe in the league, then go for the cup? Liverpool will have an eye on the top 4 now we've beaten vile, and no doubt go strong Tues.
They've got depth that we havnt, but a cold rainy night can be a good leveller, so maybe another soaking could be worth it? Go careful with the night nurse tho!

I spent the evening at CD Tenerife watching an extremely entertaining 2-2 performance. The atmosphere was great despite Tenerife being in the third tier. Seeing fans with fairly recent shirts on with La Liga badge from their spell in top flight on their sleeves and sat 9 points clear in the table.
Also two goal scorers on 10 goals. Wouldn't be too hard to believe that's us in two seasons. Things could go very pear shaped championship season 1.

Anyone seen or heard anything from that greasy jack or whatever his name is the veeeeela fan
28 Feb 2026 02:07:45.
Saw him in Tesco. He was looking for some chips for all that salt he has.
27 Feb 2026 22:28:34
Jackson was decent the second half, if he plays like that every match i think he'll win us over.
Fantastic result means Derbys record is now safe.

Agreed. Rated. He was clearly told at half time to make use of that space and get the legs moving before crossing first time. His defending was excellent.

What a win bit of luck and hard work
28 Feb 2026 00:05:31
Surprised, delighted, enthused by the overall team showing. They seemed to fully understand what this fixture means to so many fans who will be able to walk down the road with heads held high. If it takes nights when the heavens open, let's all start doing a rain dance now. But, humour aside, I am really pleased for all at the Molineux. Well done, lads.

Great win passed Derby's total point tally. Anyone for catching Burnley
27 Feb 2026 22:10:59
Great result lads. Got a chance to catch Burnley.
Thought Armstrong was absolutely brilliant tonight, just need the midfield to get on the same page as him. Tchatchua had a suspect first 15 mins but his second half performance more than made up for it.
Happy for the team and RE.
Thought Sa was poor with his distribution again. Santi was a monster at the back and Hugo never stopped. But for me Gomes and Andre ran the show.

So poor by Unai to have left the field before the final whistle and not shake RE's hand.

Last week, we had Paul Merson moaning about Arsenal after the 1-1 draw, with little respect for our team, and this evening we have had 45 mins of Lee Hendrix crying over this Villa defeat. No mention of our terrific effort, with less than 40% possession in both games. Fantastic performance from our lads in the last 2 games. Keep it going.

Trot Boy, that seems to be the norm for us Wolves fans, although it was quite refreshing on MOTD tonight, for them to talk positively about Wolves for more than 5 seconds, and to do it before the negativity of our opponents! Let's hope that win ignites a flame, and we do the double on the Pool next week, although I have to say they looked good today against West Ham, so time will tell, I guess.
