Dare I say it Same old wolves.
Toti is not good enough to start never mind be captain.
Munetsi tries but has no quality.
The service into the box is pretty poor.
Why can't Tchatchua go past defenders and put in a decent cross.
The passing is shocking.
To often runners from midfield seem to surprise our defence.
Sa is very poor with ball at his feet but a good shot stopper.
Said and Neave caught the eye and should get a run in the team.
James needs to start.
Fer look frustrated at times.
Mane is not a starter but an impact player with 20 mins to go.
Kryci needs to sort his head out.

you forgot that the finishing is s****
18 Oct 2026 10:09:32
Let's face it, there's no finishing!
17 Oct 2026 11:09:43
tchatchoua im probably your biggest fan. but mate. how can you be so quick yet be so reluctant to run with the ball?
you could be an elite player if you work on your ball carrying and driving into space.
rafiki said. this guy is pure flair! he's left footed and he's whipping balls in with the outside of his right. and he should have 2 assists this week minimum for doyle and armstrong.
17 Oct 2026 14:02:50
I'm guessing a lack of confidence with Tchatchoua unless he's not fully fit. His speed could be a great asset for us when utilised.
It was well worth waiting for Said to be fit. Fans might have thought we had signed a dud but he looked awesome at times last night. Armstrong and Doyle missed sitters from him.

He has to play the way the coach instructs him to.

Not sure Mane did that much tbh, other than the fairly easy pass to set up the second goal. I might have got him mistaken but it seemed twice when we had the ball in the corner near the end of the game he tried to do something fancy and lost the ball easily instead of just keeping it in the corner.
There were a few questionable decisions as always, I don't get why when we had a throw in at their end Jackson decides to throw it all the way back to our defence, just seems like a waste and takes the pressure off Burnley's defence.
17 Oct 2026 15:57:13
Agree there goatmark, I had forgotten about him coming on and was asking me son if he knew where he was playing, but,and we all see things differently, I thought he was quite clever in those corner moments.
Jackson is a puzzle, he's got the speed, he gets to the spot and then wastes the opportunity, either delivering a poor ball or more often than not stopping pulling the ball back and letting the opposition regain the space he'd created.
Let's hope they up things on Tuesday.

Not a pretty win by any stretch, nor would I say that's the performance of a team destined for promotion; too many wayward passes, poor positioning and lack of a top quality striker just a few things. However, whilst it doesn't make up for any of those, one of the stand out things from that game and on highlights this morning was Said's run down the wing in the latter stages of the second half- he was up against a fresh legged Marcus Edwards, yet out muscled him and did him for pace, unfortunately the ball fell to Doyle who scuffed his shot massively.
In my opinion, Said looked good last night and showed glimpses of a promising player; I feel if our players show that determination, there MIGHT be a chance, but that alone won't get us promoted.
18 Oct 2026 11:22:24
Fer Lopez was the only one who stood out. We gave the ball directly to them at least 6 times in the first half. This really was a game of 2 halves.
18 Oct 2026 18:38:57
That's why James should play hardly gives the ball away ffs🤷🏾♂️.
17 Oct 2026 09:36:44
Very happy with the win last night.
Very brave team selection from CP, thought it was a big mistake to start off.
All over the place to start with, Toti as always giving the ball away, the goal from Lopez seemed to change everything.
Said looks a good player to me, him, Lopez and R.
Gomes should be fun to watch.
Seems like CP prefers Munetsi to James and I was surprised Sa kept his place.
Can't complain too much we won, just hope this leads to better performances now, will take time to convince us all.

It was good to see a team other than Wolves getting punished for defensive errors. Of the highlights I saw both Said and Neave looked useful.
17 Oct 2026 09:09:24
A scintillating performance, and every other team in the league must be shaking in their boots now!!
17 Oct 2026 09:25:42
I still can not get my head around how poor our passing and shooting are the lack of composure by our players is unbelievable.
17 Oct 2026 09:30:23
Apparently it's the international break that's the cause of our dip in form 🤨🤨.
16 Oct 2026 23:45:23
We got three points playing a really poor team we looked poor for most of the game but thank Burnley for the gift of both goals we are in sixth position with a team that looks more like they should sixth from bottom.
17 Oct 2026 08:20:27
Correct - this game merely bought Peshitto some time.
16 Oct 2026 23:13:10
A win is a win. I will take it. Obviously it's not clicking all the way right now but atleast we showed some battle and saw it over the finish line. On to the next. Only 10 games and well in the mix. Long way to go. Onwards and upwards.
16 Oct 2026 22:12:35
Nice to get the win but it doesn't mask the frailties in this team.
16 Oct 2026 22:23:48
We were absolutely rubbish first half, all over the place, no one seemed to know where they were going. Deija again the stand out but we ignored Said and the left so many times. Great to see him nick off walker and nice play to Fer who slotted it in accurately.
Second half we got things going, seemed suddenly organised getting said involved.
That's not being blind to our poor finishing which again could have cost us if chirawa hadn't managed to get his goal past the keeper.
Fortune favours the brave and it was a courageous effort, if still worrying and unconvincing, that gained us 3 points.
Let's see that effort on Tuesday v pompey.
16 Oct 2026 22:41:22
For 30 minutes we were rubbish but dug in, and found a way into the game via Lopez. Second half we controlled the game and deserved the win in the end. I agree it wasnt pretty, but I will accept grinding out games if their are 3 points at the final whistle.
