Can't wait to see Raul play tonight.

According to Harry Mansell on YouTube, it was Guo who stepped in and sacked RE, overriding everyone at the Club.
Interesting comments from TalkSport panel, with Simon Jordan unsympathetic, and Brad Friedel saying that in football at this level, when a new manager signs a contract he's just one day closer to the sack.
11 Jun 2026 18:24:56
Interesting. Longmynd just reiterates what everyone is thinking, in that Nathan Shi has no authority, really, and it's still the same old Fosun epidemic. In reality, nothing changes there. Whatever Guo says, goes.
Simon Jordan is irrelevance personified, so who cares what he thinks.
Brad Friedel is spot on. Piexoto (Zenga 2), take note!
11 Jun 2026 18:30:53
My typo earlier, Kenny Jackett, not Kenny Hackett. Thanks Doog947 for correcting my mistake.
11 Jun 2026 18:43:49
Just asking, but which journalists or 'sources' do folks find most reliable? And, by contrast, which ones are not trustworthy at all?
11 Jun 2026 19:54:19
The best is David Ornstein and John Percy followed by Fabrizio.
Alex Crook and anything posted by Sport Witness I tend to ignore, as it's usually incorrect or 2 days old.
11 Jun 2026 15:06:53
Rob Edwards was originally told that information about his future being in doubt on Wednesday was inaccurate.
Matt Jackson then informed Rob Edwards on Thursday morning that he was sacked.
It's said that Edwards' sudden departure has caused 'outrage' in the Wolves dressing room.
11 Jun 2026 16:27:46
Sky reporting that RE is away abroad on holiday ATM.
This makes the methodology of sacking him even more deplorable, even though he wasn't the man to take us forward.
11 Jun 2026 17:18:37
When Fosun first took over and Kenny Hackett was given the 'ok', then 4 days later Jeff Shi sacked him because "not the person to take the club forward." Difference being that Kenny had been quite successful and for us had a win ratio of 46%. They were after Lopetegui at the time, but he took the Spain job and we ended up with Zenga, then Paul Lambert, before Nuno came along and made us into a good side. This new manager had a decent season, so I guess the idea of a "winning" manager appealed to our club management more. If I see the byline 'Crook' on a story, I tend to ignore it, especially regarding him 'knowing' what players are thinking or saying.
Most players are on holiday or at the World Cup, so at this moment there is no "dressing room" to be "outraged", but cheap news outlets use cheap 'reporters'.
The timing seems bad, I agree, but it does give the new guy time to put his own plan into action. Does anyone know about Rui Pedro Silva's situation? I would think he would stay, but who knows.
If there is a major fault here then to my mind it is with Fabrizio Romano for announcing stuff before RE had been told. He is rarely wrong, but I think he is the main reason this has gone poorly. That's just my opinion.
11 Jun 2026 17:49:26
Kenny Jackett was certainly No 'Hackett'.
11 Jun 2026 17:57:25
Reports suggest that the new coach was approached a month ago. Sounds like before the home match against Fulham. Did Raul know and approve when spoken to by Nathan? Maybe that made the difference. It annoys me when people say that Rob was recruited for the Championship.
He was actually recruited to keep us in the Premier League. 2/3 results aside, he failed miserably in that brief. Harsh to sack him now, maybe he should have been warned that his job wasn't safe. That's football, and he will get a handsome payoff for failure, happens all the time!
11 Jun 2026 13:38:40
No matter what you think of Rob, love him or hate him. Whether he's won or lost games, played attractive or boring football. If the reports are true, that he heard of his dismissal via his family on social media, it still an utterly disgusting way to treat a human being.
11 Jun 2026 15:27:29
Bag to agree, that is shameful behaviour. Regardless of whatever you think of RE, it's a bad way to treat anyone. Hope he takes them to a tribunal and takes them to the cleaners.
11 Jun 2026 17:05:46
A tribunal for what?
How many managers take their ex-clubs to a tribunal?
11 Jun 2026 10:39:48
There was a report out yesterday saying Re had nothing to do with getting Jiminez to sign. It was all to do with Nathan Shi who spoke to Jiminez straight after the Fulham game. Talked about rejoining Wolves. Also spoke to Jiminez familly. He also had a hand in getting Andre to stay.
11 Jun 2026 11:30:27
What experience has Nathan Shi had with any of the new signings, and does he pick the team and the playing style? He is just a mouthpiece for Fosun. Mendes is behind this for sure.
11 Jun 2026 12:19:05
So Mendes picks the team and style of play.
11 Jun 2026 15:46:54
Mendes is lining his pockets again. He just cares about himself and money.
11 Jun 2026 08:53:49
Wolves have sacked Re according to Sky Sports. Bloody hell, that was fast. Nathan Shi, not messing about.
11 Jun 2026 10:59:06
Edwards had 9 wins from 61 games in the Premiership so Nathan has made exactly the right decision.
11 Jun 2026 00:14:23
It’s a done deal now. Fabrizio reporting it. Never saw that coming.
11 Jun 2026 07:41:03
Nathan Judah saying Edwards has indeed been sacked.
I honestly don't know how to feel about this.
Yes, I've been calling for Edwards to go, based on the shocking performances of last season, but he has since come out and stated that the players weren't good enough and a change of formation was needed.
We then tied Andre to a new deal and got Trippier and Raul over the line, so it looked like things were on the up.
Did Edwards have any input into these players committing to Wolves, or has Nathan convinced them to re-sign/join and sold them the dream that it will be someone other than Edwards steering the ship.
11 Jun 2026 08:08:05
Rumours stating that Edwards only found out after his family saw the rumours on social media, so he rang the club to find out.
If this is the case, then that really is disgraceful from the club.
He may be a poor manager, but he deserves to be told in person by the club, not via rumours.
11 Jun 2026 08:18:13
Over his managerial career, he averages 1.24 points per game. This equates to 57 points over a 46-game Championship season.
Let's hope Nathan knows something that the stats don't show.
11 Jun 2026 08:33:18
Madness. The guy has a hopeless track record and has no knowledge of the Championship. On what basis can he be considered a better bet than RE?
11 Jun 2026 08:40:10
Hopefully Rui Silva will have a major input, Innocent.
11 Jun 2026 08:41:58
It wouldn't be difficult to be better than Edwards.
11 Jun 2026 08:49:22
Could now look forward to an influx of Portuguese players courtesy of Jorge, and a new opportunity for Fer Lopes.
11 Jun 2026 09:20:47
He apparently likes to play attacking football.
11 Jun 2026 15:48:55
Not with our squad he won't.
10 Jun 2026 23:36:11
Cesar Peixoto will be the new Wolves boss. Announcement soon. ✅
11 Jun 2026 00:22:59
I'm not a huge advocate for Edwards, but the timing seems strange given that we've already had a month of building the squad for The Championship. Raul's, Trippier's and Andre's extensions link back to Edwards by all accounts. I don't think this is the right move at all. Hopefully I'm wrong.
11 Jun 2026 00:28:46
Yes mate, this is from Fabrizio: "Wolves agree deal in principle to appoint Cesar Peixoto as new head coach.
Interest reported by O Jogo, now verbal agreement in place with Peixoto to take over".
11 Jun 2026 06:41:40
It would be a very odd decision if true.
We really don't need this sort of diversion.
Cesar Peixoto's managerial CV is thin at best.
11 Jun 2026 07:36:26
Big mistake.
10 Jun 2026 21:25:38
There was a unanimous decision between Rob Edwards and WWFC's hierarchy to make a move for Raul Jimenez, but it was Nathan Shi that led the charge in making it happen.
Not only did Shi ensure he spoke to Jimenez after the club’s final home game against Fulham, but he also spoke to the player's family to pitch the idea of an unlikely reunion.
Shi was instrumental in getting the deal done and both Edwards and Jimenez have credited him in club interviews for his work in making it a reality.

10 Jun 2026 16:14:43
Wolves apparently in discussions with Cesar Peixoto to replace Re.
Advanced stage, so could be announced in a few days.
10 Jun 2026 17:27:20
0% chance he's coming in as manager. Wolves aren't sacking Rob anytime soon, and Peixoto is nowhere near good enough. Laughable rumour.
10 Jun 2026 17:41:54
Well, Ice, I'm only passing on what is being reported in the press.
Time will tell.
10 Jun 2026 17:58:17
It has been reported in the press, mate.
But he is another VP and we don't want that again.
10 Jun 2026 18:10:12
Talking Wolves said they were looking at him, in case they changed their minds about Edwards.
Personally, having looked at Peixoto's stats, they aren't that much better than Edwards.
I didn't see that any contact had been made.
10 Jun 2026 18:21:25
That definitely could be out of the frying pan job. He's done nothing to get excited about. I think it's a ALOBS anyway.
10 Jun 2026 18:21:32
Not having a pop at you, Derry. Just an utterly stupid rumour.
11 Jun 2026 07:36:46
Might have to think again, Ice.
11 Jun 2026 08:18:52
You were saying, Ice?
11 Jun 2026 08:31:21
No offence taken.
11 Jun 2026 08:32:07
Now hearing that Edwards has been sacked!!
