Lee Evans been given permission to join Sheff Utd, 750,000 fee agreed, he's on his way for a medical.

Seems cheap to me. He has shown he can play in the championship. But the figure I’d be thinking may put suitors off- 1m-1.5m. But he has probably reached the highest standard he can or maybe a squad player in top championship to low end of the prem team. Reminds be of David Jones.

Good Luck Evans!

3.) 08 Jan 2018 21:34:18
Good job your not involved in the business side then Dappa. :)

4.) 08 Jan 2018 21:40:01
Well look at what Leon Clarke achieved after he left us. We probably haven't heard the last of Lee Evans.

Oumar from Everton would be a great signing he’s being sold.

For all you negative folk out there, I know he's not the most reliable but most of the time he's not far out

"If you look at how much money they spent last summer, approaching £100m, going on the back of spending roughly the same amount the season before so that's £200m plus this month, maybe £30m if they get Daniel Podence and Nelson Oliveira. I'd call that pretty lavish spending really.

"As for Molineux, I don't sense they [Fosun] are cutting back on spending, you know, they are looking at building their own U23 venue, they are looking at redeveloping Molineux just in different ways. When he says about transfer targets, I would say that the club in January is the biggest factor in that as you don't see many huge deals done in January.

"I think the summer will be the litmus test for what he's saying there. For all the noises I'm hearing, Fosun are more committed than ever really to Wolves, and in fact more so, they have become more important to Fosun as the years have gone on in terms of their global portfolio of businesses. As far as Wolves go, I've not noticed any slowing down in spending and I don't anticipate one either. "

Tim Spiers.

Frustrating as the transfer windows prove to be for wolves fans' you've got to hand it to Fosun for being hard nosed in negotiations and refusing to be panicked into shelling out more than they deem a target to be worth' as fans we hate it, we want new players coming in when we can see us being an injury away from a poor run of results.
Oliviera was being priced out of a move by his club asking for too much, we made two offers which weren't enough, they've said no' so wolves had walked it's how some negotiations go.
I like everyone else on here wants to see a striker in, at the minimum for this window, but not at any cost'once you play the opposing sides game, you leave yourself wide open for every other club looking to make a chunk of money they might no deserve.
Also media saying Podence is on his way for a medical, fingers crossed he passes and his club don't pull another Reading on us. UTW.

Fosun are nobody's fool. A fool and his money are easily parted: Look at Fulham last season, huge and indiscriminate spending, straight back to the championship. Same might happen to Villa this season. It wouldn't surprise me if WBA get promoted and do similar.

Fosun are playing the long game and are in fact ahead of the self imposed schedule.

I know fans are not impressed with Oliviera but it would be interesting to see what Nuno could do with him.

Apparently Wolves have been offered Chris Smalling from Man United

United are willing to pay 25m but Wolves are holding out for 32m.

I know there are some players teams would pay to get rid of, but.

Nice to see my humour goes above your level of comprehension.

Abraham has decided to stay at Villa as chelsea wouldn't let him move on a permanent deal.

1.) 08 Jan 2019 13:37:12
He's a bottler and obviously hasn't the confidence in himself to play in the Premier league. Let's move on and get someone who can. Great result last night lads well done.

2.) 08 Jan 2019 14:05:46
I might have to apologise to Tammy as Spiers sayin move isn't dead?

3.) 08 Jan 2019 15:53:10
hahaha keep the comments coming boys. lmao.

4.) 08 Jan 2019 15:56:02
Guess he's figured out that Championship is his level. He's the new Patrick Bamford. Won't go to a PL team as he knows he ain't good enough.

5.) 08 Jan 2019 15:57:09
You'll have to shout up a bit! The Gaps to big! 10th in the second division? Your sh-t! 😂.

6.) 08 Jan 2019 16:54:12
nuno would not guarantee him first team football / bit easier to get into a mediocre championship team all the best see you in 25 years time!

7.) 08 Jan 2019 18:36:15
Tammy would only get used in rotation but he billy big balls at villa basically he could make or break their season if he comes he better step up to the plate cause he be playing with mourtinio n neves not Hutton or any other bang average villa type -why miss training if don’t want come wouldn’t be stood for by Nuno.

If it had been the Costa for 3/ 4 years ago would have been a good shout, the Costa from the last 2 seasons isn't even worth discussing.

SEPTEMBER 26, 2020
Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the rumoured transfer of Juventus winger Douglas Costa to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

The injury-prone Brazilian is one member of the Juventus first team that the club will gladly sell, and he has been linked with a move to Wolves recently.

The Premier League side has just sold Diogo Jota to Liverpool and it appears smart that they may replace the Portuguese forward with Costa.

Tuttosport had reported that Jorge Mendes is looking to broker the Brazilian’s move to Molineux, but Romano was speaking on the latest episode of the Here We Go podcast and he claimed that he has been in touch with Juventus, Wolves and the agent of Costa and all of them have said that such a transfer isn’t happening.

He adds that Costa’s age and injury record puts him at odds with the type of player that the English side wants to sign.

He said as quoted by This Is Futbol: “We had the opportunity to talk with Juventus, and they told us, off [the record], ‘no, there is nothing from Wolverhampton for Douglas Costa. ’ We had the opportunity to talk with Wolverhampton, and they said, ‘no, we are not going for Douglas Costa. ’ We had the opportunity to talk with the agent of Douglas Costa and he said, ‘no, we have nothing with Wolverhampton. ’

“So, it seems [like] something fake. You have to consider one thing, if you speak with Wolverhampton’s side, they say, ‘we are going to buy different players, we want younger players, players that we can sell in two or three years [for an] enormous fee. ’

“[Costa is] in a different moment of his career, and we have to add, he [has] had many, many injuries, he’s [missing] many matches every year because of injuries. So, Wolverhampton always said, ‘we don’t want [a] player [like this]. ’”.

You can do anything with stats, why not check out how much he's actually played and how many of the minutes he's been on the pitch have been "meaningful time" - everything can be manipulated.

Ken, I think you're wrong about Costa not fancying us I reckon it's the other way around. We no longer do big fees for older players with no sell on value.

Personally I love it, Twitter and Facebook seem to echo that sentiment, 100% better than the away kit.
